Seattle Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know for November 2025 | Eater Seattle

"Next to the stadiums on Occidental Avenue, this sprawling new outpost is an all-ages-until-midnight sports bar whose menu stars the Hall’s famous smashburger." - Harry Cheadle

Google
Definitely the place to be on a game day. Several seating options - expect to wait awhile if you want a table. FCFS at the bar - this was the place to be in my opinion. Faster service and TVs. Beer garden and grab n go options also available. Smash burger was good but a smidge too salty. Crinkle cut garlic fries were tasty! My father in law loved the Oktoberfest menu - jagershniztle was delish! Definitely will be back for my next game day!

Google
Fun atmosphere, they make good use of a bit of a unique space. Great location right outside Lumen Field and a short walk to Pioneer Square or T-Mobile Park. Not too loud when it is not busy, but I've heard it is crazy-loud when packed and hard to have conversations. No issues during slower times, however. Drink and food selection were good. Their smash burgers are great, fries were okay, not bad by any means but nothing noteworthy to make them stand out. Staff was friendly and checked in on us regularly. Would return for sure.

The Hall is the same owners of Queen Anne Beerhall with this location on Occidental right across from the stadiums. It's easy to get to but parking is almost impossible here, especially if there's a game playing. Inside, they have probably close to 70 tables and bar seating, both upstairs and downstairs. They're busy most of the time, but the service here is fantastic. They have a good sized menu with pricing a little bit high, but portions are good and quality is great. Their apps are a good way to eat with a lot of people sharing. They have a big beer and drink selection as well. This is a popular spot for sports fans or people watching the game without going into the stadium. Overall a great spot, and you can even reserve tables during certain games if you call ahead of time.

Google
The Hall on Occidental is a welcome addition to the Pioneer Square/stadium district. It was huge inside - with multiple bars and areas to grab a drink or food. Service could have been quicker during our visit but it was a mid week concert so the turnaround on our food was about what I expected. The variety of food/drink options matched the other Hall locations, such as in Queen Anne, and what we received was all hot and tasty. Our beers were ice cold and well poured as well. Super glad to have this Hall location open up finally!

Google
Somewhat slow service, on peak game days and off hours. The smash burger was a bit chewy and no flavor with a soggy bun and creasy patty. The arugula side salad was fine but slightly over dressed. Solid beer options. Fun shots. Great location. I imagine this place will be booming on game days and it’s a great spot for what it is. Overpriced for sure, but a good atmosphere overall and what you’d expect right by the stadiums. Average overall but the convenient location will likely have me coming back for a pre or post game stop on occasion. Wish it was a cheaper spot. Can’t believe the beer plus burger ran me $45 before tip…!!! Plenty other options to go to that are better and not so overpriced.

Google
Very busy and popular place, perfect before an event. Tasty smash burger $8 happy hour, can't beat it. Small but solid tap list with a nice assortment of beers. Lound atmosphere, fast Friendly sevice, parking can be an iservice

This place was awesome! Music the entire time was a really upbeat vibe and our waiter was really helpful with the menu and any questions we had about the drink menu. We went on a game day and eventually the music switched to the game broadcast, but the service stayed great the entire time. 10/10 recommend coming, looking forward to coming back during Mariners season! Will be returning for sure.

Google
Service is slow. Sure, we went before a Sounders match, but it wasn't that crowded when we arrived; there was no line to get in and plenty of big tables & spots at the bar. Yes, they showed up to take our order and deliver our food (and were friendly, but the empty dishes were still there from the previous patrons) but never checked back in. The menu seemed good/solid, but the food tasted horrible. How do you screw up a Reuben? Just ask this place. Au Jus for a reuben; it tasted nasty! The smash burger was bad; the gluten-free bun was $3 extra and simply fell apart. I have purchased gluten-free rolls and they have never been horrible like this one was. Beer list was decent. Not coming here again!

Yelp
Food is great, price is great, service is great, and selection is great. This is a very cool place to come before any game at Lumen or T-Mobile, but there is a catch - getting a place to sit. There will be a line outside, which can either go pretty quick or move as slow as mollasses. However, what can be immensely frustrating, is even on game days - you put your name in, your party is waiting, the line is moving... slowly, but moving... only to get closer and find out that people could do reservations to skip the line and get seated before you without having to wait. It seems like on game days - there just should not be any reservations allowed for the few hours before the games. It makes that waiting outside, all the more painful, and your time inside feel all the more rushed. Even after you get seated, they will be busy, and they will get to you, but it will take some time. So, just be mindful about going here before a game if you don't have over an hour before the time you want to head in. Foodwise - get the smashburger, the pretzel, or the cheese curds. All the smashburgers are very reasonably priced. The pretzel is gigantic and paired with just enough cougar gold dipping sauce which is delicious The cheese curds are more of a tempura batter - making them a little lighter than some other options in town that are fully breaded and fried. Dip it in the hot honey, you will be happy you did! Glad to see this new spot open up near the stadiums. We have been here a few times now before games - it seems to be running more and more smoothly each visit. But please, just choose reservation system - or walk in - not both. PS - if you are in okay just getting 1 drink and dont need to sit, you can try and just walk up to the bar and grab a drink there. but no food. There is a third option of a fast bar to get some food without a table, but it seems to usually have a long line, as well as causes a traffic jam in the narrow hallway.

Yelp
We visited during one of their first weekends. We went before a soccer game. Before the game was not a great experience. While everyone was friendly, they were slow to seat us. Once we found out we could just order a drink and have it on the patio, we went to the bar to get a drink. I wish this was more obvious or offered as an option because we just wanted a quick drink before heading in. The bartenders also seemed understaffed. They were working hard but there weren't enough of them. We came back after the game and had a much better experience. Same friendly service but much more timely. They have good food and lots of drink options. I'll definitely give them another chance. I think they were getting their bearings the first few weeks. It's a great location, so close to the stadium/ballpark. So I hope they're successful.

Yelp
For now, this is a review of their lunch offerings on a non-sporting-entertainment-event day only. I work nearby and am always looking for affordable, fast, and good tasting food for lunch. For American food that fits this description, there used to be Burbs Burgers/Trophy Pizza around here but unfortunately they closed down. Uwajimaya food hall has good options for not for burgers and sandwiches (other than Los Constenos, of course but that's not your typical sandwich). Now, we have The Hall! And their lunch specials are ridiculously great value. They offer $10 and $13 lunch specials and you can choose either Tater tots or French Fries for the side (included in the price. Today, I was extremely hungry so I ordered the half Reuben and OG Smash lunch specials. And of course, I chose tots and fries each. Portions were big for the price and they came with au jus, fry sauce, and ketchup. They weren't the best sandwich or the burger I have had tried or anything but everything I ate was tasty and fresh. Especially for the price, it is hard to find a better deal and quality around here. Our server was extra nice and attentive. All the servers were wearing a T-shirt with Bruce Lee on it - pretty cool! I also really like the space. I cannot even remember what was here before. They did an amazing job with the renovation. It looks like a very clean trendy sports bar. I think I saw about ...6-7 large TVs and there is an outdoor seating (covered) that could probably seat 10 smaller groups. I can totally see myself come eat here often. My team all enjoyed our lunch today. Highly recommended for their lunch specials! 5 stars for value, service, and cleaniness. I will update my review later for how the restaurant does during major sporting events.

Yelp
Not sure if I just got lucky but I feel like that's not the case since I had such a good experience the first time I came back 2 days later! This place is super close to my work and they have great lunch specials. I have had both the OG smash burger and the breakfast smash burger. The breakfast one is better but both are super tasty. Their lunch specials are $10-13 and come with a side of fries. I think it's a fantastic deal for the amount of food you get. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We went here after a Sounder's game and were very pleased. We made a reservation which was a good idea. There was line to get in with strict security. It is loud. We were lucky to have spot upstairs which was a little quieter. Service was quick and friendly. They have a really good beer list and awesome large mugs which I think might be a pint. I had a hefeweizen from Germany that was very good. For appetizers we had the giant pretzel and fried cheese curds. The pretzel is REALLY big, good for a group. It was really good though--soft throughout with a nice buttery flavor. It comes with a good mustard sauce. Then I was really surprised by the fried cheese curds, these were decadent, but very tasty. For the main course, I had the bratwurst which came with fries. It was a good sausage, kind of what was expected. The fries were very good. Then people in my party liked their smashburger with cheese. Overall, great restaurant for before or after games.

Yelp
Overall, it is a cool spot for the vibes! Among others in attendance we were here the night of an event at Lumen Field. It was busy, with a line out the door (as expected) and the bouncer wasn't clear on seating. So, unless you want a table it's pretty much a free for all once inside. Luckily, our event was on a weekday and we were there just in time for Happy Hour. The menu for happy hour is a steal with brews from $6-10 and burgers for just $8. We weren't aware of how to order food if we didn't have a table so thankfully the bartender cleared things up! The smash burger on happy hour was really good, it comes prepared with pickles and onions and I just subbed for lettuce and tomato and loved it. The fries were the only thing we weren't fond of because they tasted very fishy so, tots are recommended! The crowd this night was insane and people were sneaking in the back defeating the purpose of the line out front so that was sort of frustrating. Be prepared for a 5-10 minute wait once inside, at the bar, for your order to be taken. It was a good spot for a quick bite and a brew. For a nice dinner I probably wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
So glad to have stumbled upon this gastropub. Last minute, decided to catch a Marniers game before my flight at the Seattle-Tacoma airport. The ballpark is only about 15-20 min away, so it worked out perfectly. Found a lot where you could pay $25 (plus taxes) to park for the day. There was street parking, but limited to 2 hours and lots closer to the field were $40. Walked around the block and found The Hall. Menu looked great and the happy hour specials were steals! The giant pretzel was only $8 and had that perfect chew, similar to Auntie Anne's but a bit less sweet. I went with the steak salad. Very flavorful, but also quite pricey. Wish I could have had it with chicken for a lower cost. My kids loved the basics - hot dog, burger, fingers. And dang, that seasoning on the fries was dynamite. Perfectly salty! I had actually stated that I wouldn't eat fries for at least a few months before getting to this restaurant (I overate fries on vaca), while this lasted 2 hours. Once I laid eyes on their fries, there was no turning back. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone going to a game (baseball/football) or concert in the area. There's seating outside too, just only drink service. Oh and plenty of bathroom stalls, all of which were very clean.

Yelp
You hard up for some food and drinks before a game or a concert? The only thing this place has is a cool atmosphere. It's packed, and has a cool concept, but does not hit the standard. We came hungry before a concert. We just wanted something. My wife and I both went with the smash burgers. She had the regular and I had the peanut butter bacon. Before I get to those, let's talk about the drinks. Now I probably should have just stuck with a beer since the beer list was pretty good. But if a jalapeño margarita is accessible, I'm going to order it. Never again here. They did not have regular jalapeños, so they used pickled jalapeño's, which for some reason they were closer to yellow than green. Disgusting. Our friend ordered a spicy margarita. Which was a margarita with a couple dashes of hot sauce. Clearly having a full bar is not necessary, just beer and maybe just liquor that you can shoot since that seems to be the extent of their qualifications. I will say the tall bartender was at least nice, the other one that was working with him was not. Anyway back to the food. Smash burger oh was alright, the peanut butter bacon was not. The beef I'm guessing is not suppose to have any seasoning, which is fine, but the peanut butter bacon portion not existent. The was a squirt of the habanero jam, or just jam. Long story short the food and mixed drinks leave a lot to be desired. Beer list I would come back for....and I would give the food another shot. It was before a sold out show. The shorter bartender I would avoid next time.

Yelp
It took me a few days to post this. I was extremely upset after leaving this place. My initial review in August was good, I put 4 stars. And now the difference between night and day. I'm going to be fair, as usual, which is why I didn't post an updated review right away. After going to this place in the early afternoon and enjoying it very much, my son decided to book a table for 8 for a bday celebration. The booking was for Sept. the 13th at 5:15. We were so excited to go back again. That's where my excitement ended. Granted it's game day for soccer and baseball. Both of the stadiums had games going on at the same time. Putting this in perspective, The Hall is right across the street from Lumen Field (soccer) and down the street a few blocks is T Mobile stadium (baseball). There were alot of people in the area. We head to The Hall and arrive on time. There was a line on one side of the doorway, we decided to go up to the front where the counter is to be seated since we had a reservation. We waited and waited and finally a woman came by and barked at us (and I'm not using this expression lightly) that she us to clear out of the way. My son let her know that we had a reservation. She said she needed to go find out what was going on. She did not at this time, check the computer where reservations are in place. I want to point this out, right here and right now, this was the most unfriendliest, rudest woman in place. She's angry, simply angry. And if this is who you have as a hostess greeting people, whoever is in charge here, take note, you are wrong for having her in this job. She comes back about 10 minutes later, checks the computer, my son corrected her on the name spelling and off she goes again. Here's the first problem, there was no table set up. We waited 20 minutes for a table. So off we go to a table. This was a table in a corner and there weren't even enough chairs for all of us and we were packed in this area. We wait and wait and 15 to 20 minutes later a waitress arrives. We order drinks and wait another 10 or more minutes and everyone but myself get their drinks. It was a tea. Just an iced tea. Another 10 before I get that. In our group, we had a toddler with us. She was getting restless because of the time situation and having to wait so long. I went up to the bar to get a cup of ice for her and I'm pretty sure that I am invisible at this point because no one would acknowledge me. Now I'm thinking this because there were other people who got to order something. I waited another 10 minutes to get a cup of ice. No one every offered to ask me what I needed. No one. Finally we are able to order food. Here's the run down on this. 2 people ordered a burger, a hotdog for our toddler, a salmon sandwich for me, a bunch of wings, mac and cheese, a veggie sandwich and a chicken wrap. Most of our party really liked the food. My salmon sandwich was so incredibly small. This cost 24 dollars for this. Picture a small hamburger bun and a piece of salmon with onions, arugula and lemon aioli. For 24 dollars, definitely not a good choice. Here's my key points for this place: If you are located near a stadium or stadiums, you better be prepared to handle an extreme amount of clientele because that's what happens during game days. Clearly there wasn't enough help in place because we did not experience any great example of getting any help. Not with getting seated and not with getting service. Have people in place who at least act like they like their job and know what the job means. I cannot get over how really awful this woman was. This was a really disappointing experience. Truly. My first experience was really good, this one wasn't. Will I go back? Maybe but not anytime in the near future. Again, we had a reservation for 5:15 and didn't get out of there until 6:35. It was wait, wait and wait some more. By far this has been the most extensive review I have done. Not a great time at all.

Yelp
A good stop on game day. Clean, well sized, and well staffed establishment. We like their other location so we were happy to try this one. I enjoyed the Steak Frites.

Yelp
This place has good food. I enjoyed the pretzel and all the cheese that came with it. There was a lot of cheese on the charcuterie pretzel. The bench seating gives a hofbrauhaus vibe and it's just across from the stadiums so convenient for a drink before a game. What got me on this place was the bathroom set up. They are all unisex with a communal hand wash station. No urinal for the guys so they have to touch a public toilet to lift the seat. It makes me gag just thinking about it. Hygiene doesn't seem like much of a priority and as a women I don't want to be touching up my appearance next to some random dude. It seems like they were going for a modern restroom set up but it just falls short. Not a place I will be going back to and really not sure how the bathroom set up even passed the design phase.

Yelp
Newish, really good pregame option. Solid HH prices. Maybe getting nostalgic about pregame spots during the '94 World Cup, but this just hits the spot with .5L and 1L lagers, Pils, Marzen, etc. Will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Went to meet up with some friend, not realizing it was post Mariners game. Service was good, staff were friendly, and the smash burger was so yummy! Very clean, considering how many people were there. Nothing but good vibes!

Jeremy C.

Yelp
First off this has become our pregame/event place. Typically great service and food is good too. We had a different experience once this week. We gout sat outside and the host told us we had to order our drinks at the bar but we could order food from our server. That seemed odd and made no sense. I went to bat and ordered and paid for my beer and the bartender just walked away without me getting my beer. By the time i got back our server came by, Courtney?, she was great. I thought it was weird she had the entire patio...I've worked in restaurants...that's an insane amount of tables! She was great and understandably busy. I had another issue with the bartender. But mainly we want to sing her praises. She was great! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
this place is fabulous! Fast service, delicious food, perfectly poured cocktails. And the space can't be beat, love the couches upstairs and that you have a choice of the smaller bar that's more in the middle of everything or the larger bar on the south end that's a bit more quiet. and their soft serve is creamy & delish!!!

Clarisa L.

Yelp
The charceuterie pretzel is large enough to feed a small army . Amazing service, ambiance, and prices! Also location is so convenient

Steven M.

Yelp
Beautiful space. But it cost $48.55 for 2 double whiskey cokes made with their well whiskey (Evan williams). Gross.

Denise H.

Yelp
Worst "service" ever. Waited in line for 5 minutes to get in. Upon entering we were told there was standing room only or we could find find an open table. Found an open table outside but waited for 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, but no one came. Finally got up to place to order at the bar, but was told there is no food order service outside...what?! Why didn't anyone tell us that when we came in???

Rob S.

Yelp
Matt sucks as a server, 0/10, worst of all time, hall of terrible inductee. We went in on an extremely busy Saturday afternoon, around 11:30 on the day of the Mariners ALDS (10/4/25). I worked as a server for 6 years, so I totally understand being slammed. However, we sat a small table that had just enough room for our party of 3 people. About 45 minutes into our time there (we had been ordering food and drink consistently), Matt decided to sit a party of 2 right next to us at the same table, with no room to move. The couple who sat next to us was very nice and had a young baby, very sweet and good company. But WHY would a server sit a party at the same table without asking? Ridiculous, but anyway. He comes to clear our table, and we notice as he's taking the food to the trash, he EATS SOME OF OUR LEFTOVER OFF THE PLATES. Doesn't matter to me, but that was the weirdest thing I've seen from a server ever. As the grand finale, we go to get the check, and he gives us the Toast (I've used Toast for many years as a server, so totally familiar with the machine). He shows my friend how to use it, and then says "Teach your other friends how to use it". Brother, it ain't rocket science buddy, it's pretty easy. When he got back, sarcastically I said "It was super complicated" and he said "Well now you're all ready to be servers". LOSER MENTALITY!!! Plenty of former servers living everyday lives, including myself homie. Such an L server, never going again. Totally understand being slammed as a former server, but his service was the worst I've ever seen.

Mark W.

Yelp
The security team is awesome food is great awesome place for a prematch stop will be back

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Excellent smash burger. Portion of tots could have been bigger. We didn't get any utensils or napkins. This made it messy to eat our Seattle Dog and Smash Burger. My friend ordered a side Caesar with his Seattle Dog so he just waited until the waitress would walk by again to ask for a fork. She finally walked by at the end of the meal. When you enter, there are bar tables near a wall with grates in it that is in view of an entry to the kitchen. Probably not good for staff to be standing there eating while you are waiting your whole meal for a fork and napkins. Overall, I would go back. This is a new location so worth going back for another try.
