This might be unfair but I've no idea if the new hammer is good or not. I tried to duck in to have a beer while Mimsy was getting her nails done, to check the place out for the first time in 25 years. It was 5PM on a Saturday, and the door was locked. I looked up and the "Open" flag was out. I tried again. Yup, locked. I peered through the door glass and right in front of me, an employee was at the greeting station, staring back at me. I tried the door a third time and she then realized the door was locked, and let me in. I take a seat at the bar. It was a bit busy but not crazy busy. For the next ten minutes, the bartender walked past me. Counted her tips. Got a beer for another patron. Cashed someone out. Rearranged her tip cash. It was at that moment I realized the God did not want me to have a beer there. Not being one to challenge the Almighty, I went across the street to The Clipper Tavern, which was my first choice anyway. The door was not locked, and the bartender warmly greeted me and asked me what I'd have before my ass even hit the seat.
