**Review of Hampton Social**
We have always loved Hampton Social for its great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. It's been a go-to spot for us, we have raved about it to all our friends and visitors of Naples, we have been happy to return time and again. However, our recent visit left us with a bitter taste.
We were disappointed to find a 3% charge added to our bill, supposedly to offset the rise in food costs. While we understand that costs are rising for everyone, we were frustrated to learn that this upcharge hasn't been used to increase wages for the hardworking servers and bartenders who make the dining experience so enjoyable. Moreover, this charge wasn't disclosed ahead of time, and we only noticed it after we had already received the bill.
Transparency is key, especially when it comes to charges that affect customers directly. It would have been better if this had been communicated upfront, allowing diners to make an informed choice. I hope Hampton Social reconsiders how they implement and communicate such charges in the future. None of the other restaurants have done this, thankfully there are a ton of restaurants to choose from, capital grill, turtle club, ritz... the list is long.
