Arrived at 9:30 on Friday morning hoping to have breakfast. All that was open was Peak Provisions. And all that was available were re-heatable options. A little desperate, I ordered a bagel & cream cheese. (Why am I asked for a tip amount before I am served?) So I am 'served' a paper bag with the bagel, two small containers of cream cheese, and a plastic knife. I think you can see how dry the bagel was just by looking at the photo. Yes, the place is bright, pleasant and has lots of seating. And I appreciate the sustainability mindset that Hangar generally tries to honor. I have had lunch here before (La Ventana.) It was OK, so I was giving Hangar another try. I understand that it is hard to deal with the fickle clientele on Oyster Point. There are lots of nearby businesses where their employees work-from-home many days of the week - especially Fridays. It is a tough situation. So Hangar needs to find a way. Day-old bagels is not the way. By the way - bike parking out in front would be a really nice feature.

Huge new place with plenty of seating and good options. Came at breakfast time and grabbed a cappuccino ( good) and a breakfast burrito (disappointing). It was clear that the burrito was reheated, not freshly made. It was reheated to an extreme heat such that it was painful to eat. Even the last bites were scorching hot. Crazy. Note: I returned for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed my Beef Bulgogi

Checking out the eateries near the office. I found this place known as the Hangar in the Oyster Point area. It has 6 different restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Orders are placed at touch screen kiosks. It had quite a variety of cuisines available including Latin, Korean, and American. I’ll have to go back to try each dish. The place is clean, new, and modern.

We picked The Layover place to eat because I had never tried any Gochu Tofu with Kimchi in a restaurant, that I had always heard people talking about. It was overall a good experience, not so pricy honestly. I picked vegetarian option, my flexitarian friends were equally happy with choices and taste.

The artisanal coffee bar is a must-visit for coffee lovers, serving expertly crafted drinks in a cozy setting. Beyond the food, the venue boasts unique event spaces and state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, making it ideal for both social gatherings and business meetings. The blend of aviation-inspired décor and local history creates an atmosphere that’s both sophisticated and inviting.

I grew up in Athens… I travel now to South San Francisco… straight off airplane to place with wonderful reviews. The Hangar. I find salad that reminds me of home, but it is not home. It says something else. Do better Hangar.

Surprising to find at its location really appreciate that it was there. Had to go to the airport and needed a place to stop for a minute and get replenished. Bartender was fantastic fun open really enjoyed it.

The ambience is nice, food is delicious and has variety. Wish they closed later though as the restaurants start closing at 2:00P.M.

Yelp
We were recommended this spot and what a solid choice! They have a little bit of something for everyone. It's new, clean and huge. Great for get togethers because of its size and variety. Service was pretty quick too. I ended up trying the bulgogi bowl from the Korean spot and it didn't disappoint. Full of flavor and cooked well. I'll definitely be back to try all the other stalls!

Yelp
This modern dining hall in the heart of SSF's biotech hub is the perfect lunch/meeting spot for nearby workers or those who WFH. The spacious building offers 2 floors with plenty of seating area, 4 dining spots (The Board, The Layover, La Ventana, The Stack), a bar (Camber) and a cafe (Peak Provisions). The hours are limited, with food served between 11-2, the cafe from 7-3, and the bar from 12-8. There is free WiFi and plenty of charging hubs, so you can get some work done as well. I stopped at 11am as they were just opening and it was fairly empty, with a little traction around noon. I'd come by again as this space is fairly quiet, clean, well maintained, and a great place to take a lunch break.

Yelp
This architectural gem rose from the ashes (giant acreage of dirt, despite the disapproval of naysayers), providing a fancy, gigantic, modern marvel, 6 unique cafe choices. The ground floor has an about 3 stories high wall completely of windows. For special events like sports there's a huge dropdown tv screen. This breakfast & lunch haven for the surrounding office workers is only a 10 minute drive south to SFO. Plenty of free parking, a casual seating area & around the corner space with fancy upholstered chairs with marble (?) topped tables, suitable for meetings, leisurely dining, & you won't get the stink eye from crabby people like me if you're a laptop camper. By noon more people start streaming in. There's even a conference room. Upstairs includes a fine dining restaurant open 4 - 8pm, combo bar/ lounge/ dining/ work area. A gym is available free to badge holders. About the parking lot- wanted to get some steps in so parked in the back row, only to be confused by an actual trench blocking you from walking directly to the side door. I didn't see the cutouts. Since it was my first visit I didn't realize you could also walk around the lot to reach the much more impressive main entrance. I think The Hangar would be an excellent way to wait out a friend's delayed flight. The verdict, destination dining.

Yelp
There is plenty of parking because they have their own lot. The space is beautiful and impressive when you walk in with it's lighting and high ceilings. The place is so clean because it's new. This would be a great place to WFH or have team meetings. The service here is just alright. I know they're still figuring things out. They are still training staff. I have seen it while waiting for my orders. They tend to get backed up. So please be patient. The drinks here (matcha lattes from and agua fresca from La Ventana) are delicious. They compete with any other overpriced coffee place in the area with their quality ingredients. However, other than the bulgogi bowl from the Layover, the food is not worth it. What I like about the bulgogi bowl is that you can request purple rice and the egg is the perfect amount of runny to mix the bulgogi well. The flavors are all there, but the portion size leaves you wanting more. I have gone on separate occasions to form a more comprehensive review and each time I am disappointed by the food. The meat used for the carne asada bowl was overly salted. The guac, sour cream and lettuce couldn't save it. I didn't mind the portion size this time because I honestly didn't want to keep eating. The chips were also very salty. I had a similar experience with the breakfast burrito. I was excited to try it and found that the inside was not fully cooked. The turkey sausage was cold and again, salty. The potatoes and scrambled eggs were also lukewarm. The salsa given with it didn't help with the taste and once again was salty. The local establishments and mom-and-pop shops are safe when it comes to competition. This place may be shiny and new, but the food is not worth your hard earned money. If you do come here with a group, coworkers, friends catch-up, I would just come for drinks and the ambience.

Yelp
Cute new place to get work done, grab lunch or take a break. The first floor features a cafeteria like venue different restaurants and a cafe. The is a Mexican spot, Korean spot, sandwich shop and one other to chose from. Stopped by the cafe for an iced matcha latte and it was pretty solid. It wasn't overly grassy and had a subtle sweetness to it. Keep an eye out for their specialty drinks as they had a matcha latte with black sesame foam top, definitely need to try next time. There is an abundance of seating and plugs making it perfecting for working and studying!

Yelp
Came here for a quick weekday lunch and loved the decor and atmosphere. This is a great group spot since there's a lot of options and you pay at the counter. My group all have different preference for foods so I loved that we were able to order from different places and still eat together. Love the food hall concept. In terms of food, I tried the budae jjigae (army sure) from The Layover. I'd rate it a 3.5/5. The flavor of the soup was not bad. I think the kimchi stew would taste very similar except this had spam and hotdog/sausage pieces. My biggest disappointment was that the ramen noodles and rice cakes were very overcooked and soggy. The rice cakes especially were super mushy and I ended up tossing all of them out. If they could improve in this, I would definitely order it again and think it's be a great value meal at $12. Also love that the place is spacious, clean, and has plenty of parking outside.

Yelp
Ooo build your own salad? Say less! We decided to swing by this place with a large group since we couldn't decide on a cuisine. They have 4 different stations and everyone gets to choose what they want to eat before huddling back. I came on Thursday and there was actually a lot of people! Most people chose the burger station and the korean bibimbap station. I went for a build your own salad for $12! The cashier there was extremely nice and even offered his personal recommendations on which toppings to choose. I would definitely be back. I heard the bar upstairs is open but didn't get a chance to check it out.

Yelp
The venue is new and has a modern look with its setup, architecture, and furniture. Lots of seating with both indoor and outdoor options. You can order from any of the food vendors from a self-service kiosk or just order at the counter from the vendor of you choice. You provide your phone number and you'll get a text when your order is ready for pickup. I've tried two of the restaurants so far. Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap from The Layover - would not order again. The dish lacks the amount of vegetables for a typical bibimbap. The bulgogi was just okay and nothing special. There is not a lot of rice and portion size is not great for the price you pay. *3 stars for this dish. Double Stack from The Stack - the double patty burger with brioche bun was tasty. It had good flavor with the seasoned patties and sauce. There is a good amount of french fries given as a side, but however, they were not good. The fries were cold and not crispy/crunchy at all. *4 stars for this dish.

Yelp
A new food hall in South SF in the biotech community. The building is beautiful, really clean, modern and not too busy yet. Takes a little while to get here from the freeway but it looks like it could be a great place to grab a drink for a meeting or to socialize. There is a bar/restaurant upstairs with TVs but unfortunately the bar is not open yet, but it looked like it will be ready soon. Also it looks like you can also book the big conference room downstairs too. Food wise, we got the 2 chicken flautas from La Ventana, which I thought was tasty and not too heavy. I asked for hot sauce on the side which had a good kick. The double stack burger and curly fries from The Stack which was really filling and a pretty good burger. Lastly, a matcha-stein (toasted rice syrup and sesame foam) from Peak provisions. I thought it was good and unique, but too bad this is seasonal and will be gone by end of October. We were debating on getting bibimbap from the The Layover Bap shop so will have to try it next time. Looked like a lot of people were ordering the bibimbap. You order at the different counters depending on what you're craving and they text you when your food is ready. When you're done with your food, you clear your own dishes in the middle of the hall. there's trash bins and trays where you put your dirty dishes. Great little set up.

Yelp
Checked out The Hangar for lunch with co-workers and loved the concept! They have four restaurant offerings: - The Board: sandwiches and salad - The Stack: decadent burgers - La Ventana: Mexican - The Layover: Korean As well as a coffee bar and full-service Cali-French restaurant Camber (opening soon). Can't wait to see what they continue to do with the space!

Yelp
My team was in the process of planning a team event and The Hangar was recommended based on a previous event attended by their partner and so we decided to reach out. We got into contact with Caitlyn to inquire about their options for our holiday event and she was great to work with. Caitlyn was very responsive to our messages and did an amazing job coordinating with our team to view the space and work with our budget. Our team was about 40 people and we had a fabulous time with the drink and menu options offered. The space itself is very functional for multiple types and sizes of groups. Parking is plentiful and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and our event was a complete success. Would definitely recommend and will be back to try their offerings during their normal business hours.

Yelp
My first time a The Hangar happened when I went to photograph a private event at the top floor. When you enter, right away you are blown away by how nice the building and design look. It is a big open space with a lot of warm colors. The food offered during the event was really good, and the people there were super nice and friendly. I'll be back on my own free time to take more time around the building and see what the downstairs restaurants have to offer.

Yelp
I love the Hanger! It's great to see a new food hall with a variety of options. There are four different stations that serve a variety of options. I had the Reuben sandwich with a side salad and my wife had the Korean army stew. I love anything pastrami, and it didn't disappoint. My favorite is the coffee bar called Peak Provisions serving Progeny Coffee. So far, I've had the drip coffee and Red Eye. The barista is friendly and knows how to make good drinks because I can't stop thinking about the tasty Red Eye. Everything is open to the public. There are plenty of seats indoors and nice outdoor seating as well. I like to come here to get a coffee and get work done. It's a hidden gem and look forward to seeing more people enjoying this place. Can't wait to try out Camber upstairs once it opens.

Lilikoi E.

Yelp
Had the layover and la venta a the korean food is not bad but no need to come all the way to this food court just for this. La Ventana was terrible, the taco's tortillas were not heated/cooked. prolly the most mids tacos i ever had. Not sure what they trying to do with this place, second floor has a bar restaurant thats not open. even if they are this place only operate mon-fri 7am - 3pm. good luck to that restaurant. bring better quality food here, or stay the way it is.

Coco H.

Yelp
The location is okay if you work around there. It's big and spacious. I don't recommend the Mexican food, it was bland and hardly had any flavor.

Lynne A.

Yelp
Wasn't sure how my experience would be since it's a very new business. Food halls are becoming the new fancy food courts. Came with an open mind for lunch on a Friday. Decided on Korean at The Layover. Had the Bibimbap rice bowl with beef bulgogi and purple rice. Food was great but pricey for lunch. 4-5 stars pricey for lunch.

Olivia L.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The Croquettes were delicious! The wild mushroom toast was delicious. The service was excellent and so accommodating! Thank you for an excellent and memorable experience.
