Let me tell you about our new favorite spot !!! HAPPY TACO 😍😍😍😍😍!!!! Went with the hubby for drinks and food. Food was absolutely TOP TIER and the DRINKS !!! This will be our new spot since we found out the have specials during the week on drinks and food. Make sure you check out the mural’s !!! They are beautiful 🤩 Our waitress Andrea was very sweet and helpful with great suggestions and Alex who I am presuming he is the owner or Host was superb as well. We will be back !!!

Exceptional customer service. We're plant based so they don't mind modifying menu choices. Swapped .eat for mushrooms on the taco plate and got our usual veggie fajita. This is one of our favorite places when we're on this side of town. Tried the margarita flight. Loved it! Keep up the great work!

Okay can we talk about how when you first walk in the place smells super clean fresh beautiful looking good smelling good, a place I'd like to eat! Upon walking in I see this bubbly little lady who's going to be my server her name I believe was Stephanie. Stephanie is the bomb.com she is pleasant efficient and present. She timed everything correct from my appetizers to my dessert all the time with a smile on her face. She could answer any question I had about the menu and so forth. Moving on to the food can we just talk about these queso tacos now I didn't just have tacos I also had cheese dip which was just okay in my opinion but I'm not a big cheese dip person however the guacamole was amazing chunky fresh vibrant perfect with the chips that are warm and salted to perfection. Let us move on to these tacos which I mentioned earlier yeah these things are quite the find I must have them once a week at this point I get the carnitas which I find that a lot of different places have dry carnitas I have yet to have a dry piece of meat from this place. The steak was also very good. Now moving to the sides that you get...rice and beans, the refried beans are decent but the rice is perfect! It's moist, not dry, also the black beans are everything!! I highly recommend them as a flavorful perfect pairing to their beautiful rice. The drinks holy cow!!! I had the strawberry Hennessy margarita OMG amazing, next time I am going to try it with a shot of peach schnapps, oooh yummy! We also had the churros and the flan. Everything is to die for and the atmosphere is excellent and service seems always to come with a giggle or smile! Stephanie is doing it big over there!! The food is amazing!! The drinks are amazing!! You guys would be a fool not to try this place 10 out of 10 recommend, seriously this place needs some more marketing because I'd hate to see it go from lack of knowledge on the communities part!! This food is where it's at, it is authentic, it is delicious and it is fresh!!!

Food is great. Chips and salsa are great but man they are in no hurry here. I don't know if it is the kitchen or the wait staff. Several times have ordered food with no sour cream and cheese and it keeps coming out with that. Happenned at least 3 times lately here.

Y’all, this place is the real deal for Mexican food! The owner greeted us when we arrived and the service was top notch and very friendly. We enjoyed the taco plates: chicken, Birria and carne (be sure to upgrade them to the quesabirria style) with rice, pinto beans and charro beans. This is just like the food you get in Mexico made by your Abuela. We highly recommend and can’t wait to visit them again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Happy Taco is amazing! I had the Churrasco steak cooked perfectly to medium well, and the Agua de Guayaba was so refreshing. The vibe is fun, and you have to take a photo at the photo booth wall — such a cool touch! The host was super friendly and even gave the kids balloons, which made it extra special. Their private fenced patio is perfect for enjoying drinks outside — I’m definitely sitting out there next time. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were all taken care of. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

We stopped by The Happy Taco in Acworth for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. While the tacos were tasty and the service was attentive and friendly (as noted by other reviewers!), the margarita flight was the real highlight. The restaurant is known for offering these flights, with options like the 'Classic' featuring strawberry, mango, cucumber, and jalapeño, and a 'Something Different' flight that includes passion fruit, hibiscus, dragon fruit, and mango-chamoy. This is definitely a fun and unique way to sample their drink menu. The Happy Taco has a casual and trendy atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind. We'll definitely be back!

First time here ever. Great experience all around, authentic traditional Mexican food with modern interior anesthetic. Got 2 asada, 1 chicken, 1 carnita, and 1 pastor taco. All of them were great except the carnita for me, was very fatty. Other than that after eating wasnt rushed to leave or anything. Felt very welcome, will come again when im in the area

Excellent service and outstanding food. Our server Stephanie was superb. She is knowledgeable of all food & drinks. Best server award. When we first arrived the greeter welcomed us graciously like family. Made us feel vert welcome for our first visit (did not get his name). But hats off again to Stephanie. Quality and taste of the food items can't be beat! Very clean establishment also

Ambiance was nice, food was tasty. trainee was not ready for her own table yet, she needs to learn the menu more thoroughly, including basic alcohol drinks, she didn't know they had Mojitos. One of our orders came out correctly, the Cheese. The one chicken fajitas came out without pico, lettuce or sour cream. The one order with no beans came out with beans, the ground beef chalupa was ordered with no beans and showed up with beans and no meat, it had to be eaten with a fork, the chicken taco ordered with no cheese, showed up with just chicken on a flour tortilla, no pico, no tomato, no lettuce, yes just meat and bread.

A great find on our visit in the area! A modern, spacious spot with a nice bar and lots of seating. We did take ours to go. Friendly staff quickly answered questions and helped recommend dishes to us. The birria tacos on their house made corn tortillas were phenomenal.

This place is amazing! I think this is my new favorite spot. The drinks are excellent, particularly the mango chamoy margarita. I got the birria tacos, rice and black beans and I'm obsessed with all of it. Can't wait to go back. The servers are wonderful too.

Really great drinks and food. I came here for a fun night out with my girl, and was not disappointed. Get the Barría tacos or quesadilla! Garrett was awesome. Will be back.

My hubby and I have lived in Kennesaw for the last 2 years and have passed by here so many times and had no idea how good the food and drinks are!! And, the hostess and waitstaff are wonderful!!! I had the steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas and the margarita flight! OMG!! You're gonna need help with the portion size!! I will defiantly be back!!! So happy we decided to stop here! The food is delicious, the place is bigger than it looks and the service was great. I came by accident, I was looking for a food truck near here but spotted this and wanted to sit and eat. Glad I did, this place is awesome.

The food is great, excellent service, very neat and clean. It is a hidden gem of the town lake area. Not just another corner mexican restaurant.

First time here and it was amazing. I ordered the Birria and it was fantastic. The hot sauce is spot on and the rest of the food was served nice and hot. Even the chips are fresh. Our server was great. It was good to see the owners meeting with the wait staff reviewing the evening goals. That shows leadership and a wiliness to succeed at what they do. We will be back.

Please go visit! We need more of these local spots Happy Taco is run by a really cool husband and wife team. The decor is minimal and that's ok bc that's not what a good place is about. The food is excellent! There is definitely a Mexican restaurant bend to it, with obvious reason, but it's better than the cookie cutter. I've honestly never branched much on the menu bc the Pastor and Birria are so good there's no need. The seasonal margarita flight is always very creative and purposed. Flavors are unique and the presentation is very nice. You can tell someone loves what they do! Don't skip this spot!

Our server was very attentive, friendly and grateful that we came in. The inside gives off a night club/discotheque vibe. Don't get me wrong, it's clean and bright and vibrant, but it seems that they focus more on appearances than they do on the food. My al pastor burrito had a fair amount of flavor, however, it lacked pineapple's sweet acidity, which is a key component in my opinion...the taste was all savory (achiote/salt/onion) and lacked depth, meanwhile the ratio of al pastor to filler ingredients (rice & beans) was highly imbalanced. My wife ordered the birria tacos, and while they were acceptable, the tortillas were limp, not crisp, another key trait that they failed on, a significant quality for birria; the consomé dip tasted like a beef broth made from bouillon cubes garnished with cilantro and onions. If you're fine with paying $4.75 per taco, then by all means, go ahead. I have definitely had much better options, even as close as Smyrna & Marietta. If a gringo can pick apart your menu offerings, your chef(s) need(s) some coaching. With the drink selection, my wife did rave about the margarita flight...considering it's $20 for 4 tiny drinks, probably about 2-3 oz per drink besides the ice. Honestly, I won't be going back anytime soon. I wish them all the best, but you're paying for polish, not quality.

Burria tacos are delicious! Service was great and Alex the manager is awesome! He visits every table to make sure all customers are enjoying their dining experience. Will definitely come again.

Delicious food. Great service. We got the Birria tacos and the steak tacos. Birria tacos came with beef broth for dipping. Great flavor. Salsa was really good. For the price I wish sides came with the tacos. We ordered pinto beans and they were also very good. This place is a cut above and more authentic than many of the other similar restaurants like this. Cool vibe and decor too!

Food was delicious. Drink menu is large and sophisticated, so you pay accordingly. Service was first rate. The dining room is impeccably clean. My Carne Asada was very good.

This was my second time in and both times were awesome! Went in today with my boyfriend and made wonderful conversation with Tony and Sam! Food is great, drinks were great and the service is unmatched! Will be going back very soon!

Got seated right away and had some of the best salsa I've ever had! It's served with light crispy tortilla chips. And if you like street corn, this is going to be your new favorite restaurant. Be sure to squeeze a little lime in the corn. Yum! Add a classic margarita while you wait. Very nice and attentive staff. I was especially impressed with the attention to detail as the tables were cleared too. Cleanliness is a priority here. Enjoy!

The best customer service. The workers are extremely down to earth. The foods phenomenal. I've had the shrimp tacos and the chicken quesadillas and they are unbelievably good. I think their branding does them a disservice but it is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever had and at an awesome price.

The margaritas! I had the flight so I could try more of them. I've been hearing all of the hype from the Cherokee mom's group on Facebook and had to see for myself . I liked the strawberry and mango magentas from the flight but the bartender and waitress said the Hennessy strawberry margarita was the best hands down. I ended up trying it and WOW! I don't drink cognac or anything brown but I made an exception. This will be my go to from now on. Fresh strawberries, no syrup and the cognac is subtle . We ate before arriving but gave the guacamole a try and it was delicious as well as the complimentary salsa. I want to return and try more food after the holiday . Tuesdays are good for specials :)

Happy Taco is Very different from pretty much Every Mexican restaurant around Woodstock. The refried beans are the best I have ever tasted. The restaurant is very clean and bright, with a very friendly staff. The prices are slightly higher than the other Mexican restaurants in the area but only by about $1.00 or so. The quality of the food is well worth that extra buck 100%. The Taco Combo and Taco Salad is Very good which has Asada Not ground beef. And did I mention the Beans? Yes. If you try Happy Taco I think you will be surprised at the quality of the food. It's worth every penny. I have only had the Taco Combo and the Taco Salad but everything else looks fantastic. Try it.

Great for large groups. Food was good nothing amazing but hard to say I only got a quesadilla and i wasnt "wowed" not much to test on so I'll be back for a real meal and reciew. What I definitely loved was the flight option for margaritas. Definitely enjoyed the drinks and accommodation of large groups.

Lazario was our waiter and he was so great!!! Amazing service and he was so attentive and patient with our party. The music was so fun and upbeat and we had such a great time. The food was super yummy and the drinks were so cute and tasty! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and request Lazario as your server!!

our big group of baseball boys and family came into this lovely mexican restaurant and we noticed how lovely it was set up BUT there was a big inconvenience.We all ordered our food and waited, 20 minutes went buy and no drinks had come out and no food either. Confused, we waited because we did not want to be rude or rush anyone. After 45 minutes we started asking the staff where our drinks and food were as we needed to get back to the baseball park as we had a game at 8:30 and the boys had not eaten yet. Some parents had to take the boys to the park while we all waited for the non existent food. We asked again and they were really behind and this is when everyone was hangry. A staff member brought out a bill with EVERYONES orders but only half of my families order was on there and we saw 13 drinks to which we ended only getting 5. Food started coming out but orders were mixed up and it was chaotic. Definitely a better place for smaller groups because they couldn't hold more than 5.Good food tho!

OMG. This California girl approves! This is one of the best and most AUTHENTIC Mexican places I have had in my 30 yrs. in Ga. I love that everything is NOT covered in processed cheese. The birria, carne asada, and carnitas tacos are so good. Just like in Calif. We also tried the fajitas mixtas, the esquite (corn), guacamole, and carne asada burritos. Thumbs up on all. In fact, two thumbs up Now no one can make rice and beans like my momma, but these are pretty damn close. If you're looking for a great authentic meal, don't miss out on this place. I'll be driving from the other side of Woodstock to eat here again....and again.

This is some of the best Mexican food we have had in 5 years since moving from California. The birria is off the chart.

We ordered the Birria tacos, queso dip, and margarita flight. The margaritas were creative and not too sweet, with garnishes that fit the flavor profile. What was lacking was the tequila, they were not strong enough - to the point where we questioned if we had ordered them virgin by mistake. The queso was nicely presented and we were able to get extra chips. The tacos were a solid 3.5 stars but nothing I have craved since. They were missing a citrus or sour component and would do well with sonething like pickled onions or fresh tomatillos. The food is somewhat overpriced for what you get and they were overstaffed so it did take a long time for us to get our check. For the area it is a good, and a refeeshing change from the usual Mexican restaurants.

It's overpriced, not worth it at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING. when the chips or HARD and STALE you already know are not a good choice! THE BILL WAS 100 with TIP....WHICH IS RIDICULOUS for MEXICAN food for two. I had the flauntas, and they made them the size of taquitos and really tried to convince me that's the normal size. THE brria tacos were good but not for the price! I WOULD NEVER COME HERE!!! How the hell you come to a place called HAPPY TACO and leave PISSED TF OFF and HUNGRY!!! over the FAKE REVIEWS!

The food was so good. The servers have been awesome and the place is not usually crowded when we go so we get our food quick and it is delicious. The birria tacos are my favorite. We love this place!

Fantastic service and food! The server seemed to be able to read my mind to meet my desires before I could voice them. They offer menu choices that I have seen nowhere else. Everything from the salsa dipping sauce and chips to my wonderful birria quesadea. I shall be back!

A nice addition to Woodstock. Great food and friendly staff. The homemade tortillas of the quesadillas were delicious. We tried Birria, Pork, shrimp and chicken. The red meat was very flavorful and come with a nice dipping sauce. The chicken was good. The shrimp needed more flavor. Because we could not decide on a protein, the waitress suggested we get half of each meat in each quesadilla. What she failed to mention is that she would be charging us for extra meat to do so. We were surprised to say the least. Not happy about being talked into something and then being charged extra for it without our knowledge. We did not receive anything "extra" - we were just charged for the more expensive meat and then some. If you go, which you should - just get what's on the menu. This way you will know exactly what you are paying for.

HOLY GUACAMOLE! No pun intended, this place is delicious. I wished I'd taken a photo because the presentation was very nice on my birria tacos but it smelled and looked so good I just had to dive in. The flavor was so good. Hands down some of the best birria I've ever had the consume was also phenomenal. I really enjoyed how they bring out salsa for your meal a red and green. Watch out my fellow gringos that red salsa will light you up! I was very impressed. It was a meal that was so delicious I was looking at the menu and thinking about what I was going to eat next time I come here can't wait! It's worth noting that the service was great very attentive and we are lucky to have such a great restaurant in our community! Definitely put this one at the top of your list to try out!

Our first time trying them out and I must say they did not disappoint at all. The food was amazing and nice portion. The service was nothing short of amazing, our server Alex was very attentive. The place looks brand new and it is spacious with beautiful flower heart wall and butterfly sign it is just so beautiful and I can't wait to see what more they will add. I will suggest to try one of their margarita I had the passion fruit margarita and it was deliciously exquisite. My family and I enjoyed it very much and will surely comeback.

Good place for a drink I ordered the Birria tacos because of the reviews they look good on the plate the flavors are good but they where soggy and the broth had no flavor at all I like my birria tacos a little crunchy so that you can dunk it in the broth This tacos where very soft not for dunking The customer service was great I really enjoy my drink

WOW! My wife and I really wanted margs and quesadillas and were tired of paying way too much at most of the places we've been to in the past in and around our area. We heard good things about this on social media and decided to give it a try! She had the Pastor tacos which our waiter informed us they are the only place anywhere around that's using a vertical oven and making it the traditional way and you can tell. They were phenomenal. I had a birria quesadilla in the home made corn tortilla and it was the best birria I've had hands down! There are a lot of places that say they make birria tacos/quesadillas and this is the first truly real birria experience I've had. Overall we will definitely be going back, the waitstaff and service were excellent and you can tell they are becoming popular due to their food. Their location isn't the most noticeable, but they're making the best of it with customer service and experience. I hope that locals will continue to go here and give them business! One of my favorite places in Georgia by far.

A big fail. I've been there twice before, and the food was decent. We went today because of advertised specials. Got turned away with the place barely half full. There is poor management and a lack of accommodation. This place will be gone before this time next year. Fail. A manager needs to be at the door if they can not handle business.
