Google
I wish I could give 5 stars since this restaurant is close to my house and has amazing views with a great atmosphere. Sadly, service was slow, appetizers came out cold, my burger was dry and needed fresher veggies and sauce, and the seafood carbonara tasted less than fresh. This spot has huge potential, but the food and service really need improvement to match the location.

Google
We had such a great experience at the restaurant thanks to our waiter, Raphael. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we felt comfortable. He had excellent timing—checking in just enough without ever making us feel rushed. What stood out most was how friendly and genuine he was, making us feel like more than just customers. . Everything we ordered came out perfectly, and Raphael made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Service like his is rare to find, and it definitely made our night more enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for Raphael if you visit!

I had such a great dining experience! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our waitress, Natalie was soooo attentive. I traveled about 1hr to get to the restaurant and I will be returning!

Google
Stumbled upon the Harbour Grill moving south to catch/shoot sunset. Outstanding spot. View, service, everything comfortable / chill. X-zavier took care of me on the outside patio / deck. Decided to try their deserts... try their Cheesecake! Better than 'the factory' - not too sweet, but very sweet ... on the dot perfect. Coming back.

Google
Key Lime Pie was delicious and I don't even like Key Lime Pie. They smoothed out the 🍋‍🟩 flavor, mmm so good. Our server Jaydee was great 👍. She was very attentive. The atmosphere, you can't beat it. Great music, lighting, views. Go check it out.

Jackelyn A.

Google
Gee is absolutely amazing! He’s consistently warm and hospitable, making every experience feel special. His drinks are crafted to perfection, and his attention to detail is truly impeccable. You can always count on him to deliver both incredible service and top-quality cocktails. I wanted something sweet and he handcrafted me a drink on the spot.

Google
Food was not bad. I had the stuffed shrimp. You can pick 2 sides. They need more side options. When we arrived and getting seated our table wasn't even cleaned properly either. They are also dog friendly but IMO dogs should not be allowed in restaurants but thats just my opinion. I'm not a doh hater. I used to own a pit bull. I just don't think they belong in that type of establishment

Google
Very friendly atmosphere, great views of the river & live music. The food was also great. Aubrey was very nice & attentive. Highly recommend the lobster stuffed shrimp & the glazed salmon

Yelp
I stopped by Harbor Grill and started with the buffalo wings. The texture wasn't bad, but the sauce was just a very basic buffalo--nothing special, and not something I'd order again. I also tried a crabcake, which I had seen featured in their photos, but I was disappointed. The flavor was off, with a heavy, almost mayonnaise-like taste that didn't sit well at all. After one bite, I knew I wouldn't be finishing it. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come out, which is reasonable, and my server was friendly and attentive. Overall, though, the dishes I tried didn't impress me, and I don't see myself returning.

Yelp
Representing 2020 in alphabet series is H is for Harbour Grille. During Covid in June 2020, I was living in Montgomery County, MD, where everything was shutdown. But a group of MoCo friends went all the way down to Prince William County to see a band we liked. My g/f of that time & I were upset because both our cars got towed! That towing company was predatory at the apartment I lived at. We took a Lyft to the towing company. Followed each other back to my apartment. Then, I drove us to Harbour Grille since I was slightly less upset with this day. We ate outside as that was the only option at this time, but the weather was nice that day in the early evening & that night. I got some sandwich as I recall with fries, which were solid. Service was pretty good and cordial. It was a nice outside bar area with plenty of outside seating with a stage outside. Overall, this was a positive experience here. My g/f & I walked around the dock area where people's boats are parked, which was nice too.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch, first visit. Ordered the Maryland crab soup that had more celery than crab. Pretty disappointing. Also had the crab cake appetizer that was served on a bed of sad wilted lettuce. Not good. My knife was dirty too. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2 was due to our very pleasant waitress.

Sherri C.

Yelp
Crap Food. Crap service. Told the waiter. NOTHING was done. He admitted it looked horrible. No offer to make it again. No offer to take it off the bill. HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. Manager either never told or never cared. BYE BYE. Save yourself the grief.

Yelp
The atmosphere for the restaurant is very relaxing, very much what you would think of a harbor house type of grill restaurant.. Ambiance I give 7 out of 10. Cleanliness of the restaurant 7 out of 10. However, the highlight of our night was our server, Aiden. I give him 9 out of 10. I ordered the seafood carbonara, that dish was served cold to lukewarm. 5 out of 10; this was not the first dish they served me which I sent back. The dish had very little flavor for a carbonara. The noodles were extremely bland. Shrimp was slightly overcooked, scallops we're not good. They're overcooked rubbery. Had very little crap. Or lobster in the dish. I will never order that dish again if I return to that restaurant. Also to note this time last year, the restaurant was packed and booming. This year, where we should be during a Dinner rush at 7 o'clock in the evening, there was plenty of space for many people to sit see photos. My wife had the cheeseburger with fried pickles. The fried pickles were very good. Her burger was cooked exactly the way she requested it. The other negative mark I give the restaurant is every time I ordered a glass of wine. They seem not to have that particular bottle available to me. I finally just told him to bring me a Moscato, which was actually very good. A waiter did a good job bringing us what we requested when it was available. Aiden was fabulous again if you go there ask for him. Also, the person serving the dish seemed not to know what they were doing. This place has great potential

Yelp
Everything was phenomenal. Jaydee was a great server. I recommend the crab cake Benedict and Prosecco.

Yelp
Fiancé and I stopped by while driving back from holidays. Just had to give an incredible shout out to the bartenders Zay and Nicole for the amazing Figgy Fashion they made and great conversation. Also a shout out to the manager Johanna for stopping and being attentive to us even though she looked quite busy herself. Definitely will have to stop by again!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic service, dog friendly patio, beautiful backdrop against the marina. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Tried the chicken pasta and it was excellent! Live band tonight! Jam on!!! Server was phenomenal!

Yelp
Great view and food! I got the braised short ribs and it was delicious! Shout out to Koney for the fantastic service!

Yelp
We had the best meal! Starting off with Bang Bang Shrimp and twisted deviled eggs as our appetizers. They were phenomenal! We also had a wonderful server, Alexis, who took fantastic care of us. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant with a pretty view of the Occoquan river.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is bad. We just had brunch there. Our meals were served cold, but receiving them warm food could do nothing to improve the lack of flavor.

Latissa R.

Yelp
Stopped in today to grab some lunch and get a little bit more work done. I ordered the Tender Salad. First and foremost, the serving was huge and more importantly, the taste was great. The dressing was nice, the chicken tender pieces were big and juicy and the veggies were nice and crisp. I washed it all down with a blueberry margarita - a must try!!!
google avatar

Yelp
First the food was very good. The shrimp po boy was tasty and full of shrimp. Black end mahi-mahi was done perfectly. Fell apart with a fork. Our Server Clara was attentive and took good care of us. The marina view is relaxing.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant connecting with an old friend. I drove from NC and I am very pleased with the customer service and food. I got the bang bang shrimp, sizes were amazing and tasted spectacular. Will def be back again in the fall.

Yelp
The food was great. We had the Blackened Alfredo pasta and the Salmon. The ambience was great, right on the water and the waitress was excellent and very attentive.

Yelp
**Disappointing First Visit** My first visit to Harbour Grille was, unfortunately, very disappointing. My fiancée and I requested to sit outside since it was a beautiful day, but the service from that point on was extremely slow. We waited about 30 minutes just to get water, another 20 minutes to place our drink order, and another 30-45 minutes before we were able to order food. We ordered a build-your-own burger and a salmon Caesar salad. When the food finally arrived (another 30 minutes later), the burger came without cheese, and the salad had a vinaigrette-based dressing--something not mentioned on the menu and not what I expected from a Caesar salad. We had to send both dishes back: the burger to add the missing cheese, and the salad because I don't care for vinaigrette dressings. When we expressed our concerns, our server told us they would take 50% off the salad. I had only taken two bites--not even close to half. We spoke with the manager(Amanda) , who explained that our server was new and overwhelmed, and that 50% off was all she could offer. She also gave us a complimentary coupon of HUSH PUPPIES as an additional "accommodation," since she said she couldn't comp the entire meal. On top of that, she mentioned that the salmon Caesar was what I "requested," as though that justified the lack of a proper menu description and service . To top it off, after asking for our check, we waited another 30 minutes before we had to track down Amanda just to pay and leave. As someone who works in customer service, I found the justifications unhelpful. If this is the standard experience when the restaurant is busy, perhaps it's time to reevaluate staffing levels or improve training and communication. I understand things can get hectic -- but this felt like disorganization, not just a busy day. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this experience doesn't encourage us to return . Overall we felt discrimated against and it was just a terrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Yelp
** August 26, 2023 ** What a great day for a great waterfront view lunch w a great friend. This establishment was the midpoint location to meet w my gf. Now, of course, there were plenty of other restaurants to visit, but this one won us both over. It was super easy to make reservations online and even easier to locate. This place literally sits on the Occoquan River and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Combined, we ordered the following. Summer Sangria Crush Chicken Club (Fried) Pickle Fries House Salad (Small) Everything was picture perfect, well plated, and yum. We received great service by Asia and was very comfy. The views were amazing, and the outdoor fans treated us well. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a great, chill time w gorge views and great service.

Yelp
From the excellent service, amazing food and incredible view, this place had all! We particularly enjoyed the shrimp & grits and the eggs benedict - the Canadian bacon being grill roasted was a welcomed difference that set it apart from being run of the mill!

Linwood J.

Yelp
Johanna was AMAZING WHAT A GREAT HIRE FOR A NEW MANAGE!!!! She was personable and very friendly. Noelia and the rest of the bartending staff were great. had a great day! great service.

Yelp
We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. There's a large parking area and the space inside is much larger than it looks from the outside. I was a little upset to see that their brunch was until 2pm and we couldn't order anything from the dinner menu, even though we were there just 20 minutes prior to 2. I ended up ordering the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was ok, but nothing special. I also ordered a cranberry mule. It was good, strong on the sugary side, so if you like your drinks sweet then this is a good one. I tried a few fries and the pickle fries from someone else's plate and those were really good. The service was extremely slow, especially since the place was not crowded, at all, so we were a little frustrated with that. I'd like to visit again during the dinner menu to have an accurate opinion of the whole place.

Yelp
Wishing food would improve. But only getting worse. Overcooked dry tasteless. French fries are now waffle fries and horrible. Draft beer is warm. Only good thing about this place is the view
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
The restaurant has a wonderful view of the Occoquan River and a good place to take pictures. Our server was really nice and attentive. The food was a bit pricey and just okay. I did have a Caesar salad for appetizer, and my friends had other appetizers. My main dish was okay, but mashed potatoes needed to be softer, sweet potato fries cooked a bit more and more flavor in crab-stuffed shrimp. The celebration went well!

Kylie B.

Yelp
Great place for a couple of cold drinks on a hot day by the water! Always good vibes and good music! Thanks Jesse!

Yelp
Drink order came in disposable plastic cups. Everyone else in the dinning room received glass cups. Took a long time to get one ice tea. Was told they ran out of crab legs and butcher's cut. It's Saturday night at 630 and to run out of menu items mid weekend shows poor food purchase planning. Maryland crab soup had no crab taste. It tasted like tomato soup with seafood flavoring. Very salty. Ordered salmon to be blackened and it wasn't. This supposedly came with two sides. Ordered salad with honey mustard dressing, and plain baked potato with butter. Was charged $4 because the salad was a substitution. Waiter did not state this when we were ordering. We also ordered the seafood carbonara. It had a sour aftertaste. Restaurant was a bit on the loud side. I will not be coming again.

Yelp
This place is super close to our house, but we didn't realize it until we're looking for a place to eat. Really delicious spinach and crab dip as well as delicious deviled eggs.. The drinks are incredible and the bartender catered to drink request easily. The entrées were delicious as well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely a great place to go watch the game or just have a quick meal and enjoy yourself. Definitely coming here again!
google avatar

Yelp
Our service was good. The waiter took care of us quickly and even brought our dog a nice little treat. We sat on the enclosed deck area, which allowed us to bring in our dog. I had the Maryland Crab soup and peel and eat shrimp. My boyfriend had the fish and chips. Both were very good. We also had a beer each. We had to scan the QR code to pull up the beer menu. Unfortunately there were no prices listed. My Stella, served in a plastic solo style cup, was $9. My boyfriend's beer was $9.50. We would not have had the drinks if we had known their prices. That is really my only negative about this place. Drinks are expensive. I'm used to paying $6 for a craft beer draft. Stella draft $5. Our waiter also spilled some soup.. it was a little mess but hey, it's soup and sometimes it happens. So keep that in mind when looking at the picture. No biggie. Yes I would go back. Food was delicious. Portions were just right. Just say no to the drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
The service food and ambience was all on time. I would definitely be going back to this place again specially since it's right next to my job location and sitting on the water at the marina is all that and more.

Yelp
Our friends had their wedding rehearsal dinner at The Harbour Grille. The restaurant is located at the marina & they have plenty of parking out front. It was a rainy day, so we were unable to step out on the patio. However, we didn't let the rain prevent us from having a great time. Despite the fact that we were a large party, all of the food came out prompt & correct. The blueberry old fashioned was consistent each time. The salmon entree with the mashed potatoes & zucchini was well seasoned. This was a great night for the bride & groom to be!
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
Communication- [3 issues] (1) The adjustment to our party size was acknowledged by the restaurant prior to the day of our visit. That wasn't communicated internally, and the manager initially refused to see us in the area that was agreed upon - even though it was unoccupied and a slow Sunday. (2) They didn't communicate they were out of creamer AND milk until they brought the coffee. (3) When we sent FULL drinks back that were inedible, the waitress didn't communicate that she would still charge us. Yet, she was happy to bring the other drink I requested as a replacement so she could charge for both. Food- [4 issues] (1) Chicken was too salty. One in my party sent it back (was still charged), the rest of us drowned it in gravy bc we were starving. (2) The French toast was stale for my friend. (3) My other friend ate her steak but the rest was too cold (pictured) (4) The espresso martinis we gracefully spit back into the glass bc they tasted like pure rubbing alcohol. We sent them back, glasses full. We were still charged WITHOUT the waitress communicating she would still charge us. Atmosphere- The outdoor area is cold during the winter. There was no heater on the side of the room we were seated (right in front of TV). Avoid that area unless you have a blanket or are ok with keeping your coat on.
google avatar

Lindsay L.

Yelp
The location and view are amazing, and super convenient if you're on a boat. However, the service was incredibly slow, the drinks were tiny and overpriced, and the food wasn't good at all. Three people ordered an entree salad, and one person ordered the portobello sandwich. The salads had wilted lettuce and hardly any dressing, the fries were cold and mushy, and the portobello sandwich was sopping wet and soggy. Not one person in our group enjoyed their meal, and it took almost 2 hours
google avatar

Sammi C.

Yelp
Came here for a after party breakfast date with a bunch of friends after a long night of drinking. We wanted some breakfast and a place where dogs are welcomed. This place has a nice patio area and to my surprise I have never ate there, but have been there prior to covid to do some maintenance there. Anywho, service was a little bit all-over the place some were nice and some were stand off-shore. Our server was there, but also was very hard to find when we needed him. He also kept bringing items that one of our girl's did not order...weirdly enough he was writing everything down so I don't quite understand the mistake. Anyways she was too sweet to say something, but she paid for 3 items on her check that was never ordered. I am very very particular when I order things, I read the menu and ingredients thoroughly. On the menu many things caught my eye, but I always want to try shrimp and grits everytime I see it. So that's what I ended up ordering. The menu stated that it comes with 5 "jumbo" shrimp, these were about a 22-25 ppu. Not jumbo...and missing one in two of the shrimp and grits ordered. I made sure that I got my fifth and one for my friend who was missing hers too. Taste? 10/10. It was the perfect balance on texture, cheese bacon, and grits were perfectly cooked. Probably the best shrimp and grits I've ever had in a restaurant tbh. Anyways, I did notice they have $10 mimosa and bloody Mary bar(not unlimited), but you can build your own. I'll be back to try that out. Tried some chicken and waffles with my friend and it was pretty decent too. 7/10. Gravy was very yummy and not too running at all!

John A.

Yelp
On a busy Friday evening we were seated promptly and given a waterside table on the deck. The service was really good. The food was outstanding. I'm gonna.
google avatar

Jacqueline V.

Yelp
Boating or driving in search of a waterside bar and bites? Good size marina to fuel up. Pleasant service, indoor and outdoor seating available with nice vibe for a Sunday. Crab cakes egg rolls were tasty, not overcooked or overly breaded. Sail in to get fuel, a brew, bites and music.
google avatar

Zander J.

Yelp
I come here a lot, but only because of the location. This place has so much potential and could be the GOAT of the waterfront... but it falls flat. The only thing that has been decent is the Ruben, I get it every time, but that too is hit or miss depending on who is the cook of the day. My friends get the cheese burgers but they are usually way overcooked. Some servers are good, others suck. Everything is hit or miss day-by-day. The side is usually full of smokers. The patio is all beat up and in need of repair, the bathrooms are pretty bad. Beer choices are extremely limited, just 2 on tap usually and $9 a cup!!! Completely overpriced. Like I mentioned the only reason I go here is just because of my friends wanting to sit at the water. All the food tastes frozen from Costco or Sam's club. This place could be amazing, just needs great management, improved food, some paint, and a want to do better lol... I'll keep going once in a blue moon, but won't cross my fingers if you know what I mean.....

Aaron B.

Yelp
Jaydee did a fantastic job. She was extremely attentive. We were first time visitors to Harbour Grille. It was great.
google avatar

Renata O.

Yelp
Views are nice. The food is alright. I ordered a cocktail which was alright too. Service is alright. A solid 2.5 star in my opinion. I would not recommend it to friends or family.

S S.

Yelp
Wow what terrible and lazy service. Called around 4 pm to inquire about their menu as I have a soy and peanut allergy and wanted to figure out if I could order something from here. Was told I'd have to talk to a server when I placed my order... so when I placed my order I asked them to double check to make sure the burger didn't have any soy. They told me they were sure it didn't.... Went to pick it up and was told it was bunless. Got home and opened it up and it was just a meat patty thrown in a box wrapped in lettuce with onion and tomato and bacon. No sauce or anything. I'll never be ordering from here again. They must not make a single thing in house if everything they have has soybean oil. Oh and I still ended up with full body hives so must of been soy or some cross contamination (meaning dirty kitchen). Lazy awful service.

Kenneth T.

Yelp
Service was great! Place is clean and has a great vibe! Our bartender xzavier was really chill and makes amazing drinks! 10/10 will come back the next time we visit.
google avatar

Rafah H.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here and it was a great experience. The band was amazing, good food, great service and everyone was very helpful and accommodating although we were a big group. Coming back for sure!

Lanie G.

Yelp
So yummy! Great service! Very nice! Great lunch spot! Best dessert deal ever! Fun band too!

Maddie L.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance are all great! This is a classic restaurant with small town vibes. I had the crab cake platter with fries and a small house salad. $4 extra for the side salad. There were definitely small pieces of shell in the crab cakes. $12 for the strawberry coconut margarita (prices not on the menu).
google avatar

Markita B.

Yelp
The website doesn't state that they close the kitchen at 11pm, we walk in, wasn't greated by anyone, a worker came to the front and just started stacking menus and walked away, then a lovely greeter came and told us the kitchen is closed but we can order drinks. How do you close at 1:30am but close the kitchen at 11.
google avatar

Maura J.

Yelp
Came in for lunch today, with a friend. Our service was fine, waiter was very nice. We both had a cocktail, before lunch, no complaints there. I ordered the French Dip...it was only OK, very skimpy on the beef, fries were good. Now, for the ambiance, great location, what's not to love about being on the water and looking at the boats! However, while my friend & I were sitting enjoying a glass of wine, staff decided it was a great time to start moving tables and chairs...not too much of an issue if they had just picked them up and moved them, but no, dragging them across the deck seemed to be their preferred very noisy & distracting option. At little situational awareness goes a long way in the service industry.

D M.

Yelp
Food was very good for lunch - wings were very good - great place to stop on the boat for a nice afternoon

Dana F.

Yelp
I recently attended a function there. A bad smell hit me when we walked into the room where the buffet was set up. When we walked up to the food table, it smelled like an open sewer. Later it was determined to be the roast beef. They took everyone's plate away who had roast beef stating they decided the roast beef was BAD. I took a bit of my crab cake and gagged. It was bad, too!!! They tried burning a candle and spraying air freshener. So we had to eat cold store bought buns, good salad and mashed potatoes (although they put a brown liquid beside the potatoes that was logically gravy but it was a balsamic dressing for the salad!). The third meat choice was a chicken cordon Bleu that looked like a cheap dollar store version that was barely warm. Then they tried to bill my friend for that!!! Two of 3 of the meat offerings were ROTTEN! I'm hoping no one got sick. After this, I never want to eat there again. I suspect improper food storage. I can't believe they fed us that garbage. I felt awful for my friend because this was a memorial dinner for her mother. What a horrible way to say goodbye to a wonderful woman.
