The Hard Hat

The Hard Hat is the only bar in town. The drinks are cheap and the German bartender is very nice. Anywhere you sit in the bar you will have your own personal ashtray. Although smoking is required, vaping is not allowed. The regular crowd kept to themselves for the most part, with the exception of the woman playing darts who wanted to know where all the women were at and the drunk guy that approached to speak but was too drunk for words. (If you choose to come here, enter through the side door since the dart board is directly across from the front door).

Was in the area for the Terror Farm. Yeah, the smoke hits ya hard when you first walk in but the bartender (german lady) was awesome to talk to and took care of us. Definitely a small town bar where conversation is easy to have with the locals.

If you're in Newport and looking for a drink, this is the place. It's not pretty, but it is the epitome of a hole in the wall. Beware, they allow smoking but not vaping inside. Drinks were reasonably priced. Patrons and staff alike were friendly.

Hole in the wall bar. Side entrance wasn't well labeled but once in the place was definitely a dive bar. Bartender was nice and prices were good. Not a full house but definitely drew a crowd.

Haven't been here for a while planning on it though here soon, a little disappointed that they didn't do the hard hat drop on New Year's Eve. But all and all it's good. Good people, Good food believe it or not very good cheese steaks.... Yum.

Holds true to the name and very blue collar friendly not overcrowded and is a nice place to wind down after a long day out in the sun

I enjoyed myself it was a Saturday night,Maybe about 10 people including the Bar tender. Very people friendly. Lots of fun without the Drama.

My first time there. It was nice. Not many people there.
