I have lived in Downtown Franklin for more than 15 years. I’ve walked past this building before it was a “it” thing. Tonight I decided to enjoy a room and dinner for myself.
The rooms are more than excellent, please come here and enjoy all of Franklin. This hotel is boutique and unique, if you are a fan of quiet luxury, this is your place
However, this is the third dinner that I have had at this restaurant and they cannot get it right- I am typically a pescatarian but occasionally I reach for lamb due to the high concentration of iron—-big mistake here…
Here they oversold the “porterhouse“ lamb chops and substituted it for small store-bought 3 ounce lamb chops, which they promptly sell for $70 if that’s not bad enough I asked for a medium rare, one came exactly the other one was burnt to the bone.
The side of scallop potatoes was completely burnt on the bottom when I got an exchange, the meat was not seasoned but better temperature prepared and the scallops partially cold in the center.
The first two times I came for dinner, I had the salmon dish, which was bland and typical in taste- nothing to write about.
My advice come here to enjoy the hotel, but please walk one or two blocks for better food. You will thank me -everything in downtown Franklin is excellent. Go to the factory or the local seafood place. You will thank me later.
Staff- waitress Anastasia( excellent service and tip worthy!!)
Chef - Arensha- (not with the correction in name spelling)
Manager- Michelle- she did comp me 20% off for their food, I didn’t come for a reduced meal, I came for the experience. I gave it back to the waitress plus more.
