Tucked away on a quiet lane, The Haunted Bookshop evokes the magic of Cambridge’s literary legacy. Specializing in children’s books and rare editions, it has charmed visitors for decades and is frequently recommended by The Guardian and local guides. The shelves are filled with treasures for book collectors and casual browsers alike, and the owners’ passion for literature is infectious. The shop’s welcoming, slightly eccentric ambiance offers a delightful escape from the bustle of city life.
Very cute, it has rich selection of older books. It is said that the bookshop is truly haunted and that some of the visitors actually saw the girl ghost. You should visit!

Very cute bookshop. Lots of very rare and unique books to go through. It’s easy to spend over an hour here.
Must see in Cambridge.

Well we didn’t get to see any ghosts but this little shop was worth the look of you are a bookish person, lots of interesting little treasures to be discovered in this little store.

They have a crazy amount of leather covered vintage books. I honestly didn't dare to ask for the price, definitely a heaven for collectors. But it's a nice place to take refuge from the busy streets.

Really small but interesting bookshop with a surprisingly large selection for its size. Staff was also friendly.

Sadly the stock is not sorted. Upstairs there were copies of the Schoolboys Own Library in three separate places. Prices were very high (£12) for poor quality copies. Normal price for reasonable copies £3.

It's an interesting little shop. I didn't hear any of the haunted tales or anything. It definitely seems like a "hole in the wall" type place. Very tiny and cramped but I think it adds to the aesthetic. I do think it could be a little more organized as it's very hard if you're looking for a specific type of book. Overall I'd say it's okay and would recommend for the experience if you're not big on chain bookstores.

Bijou bookshop, specialising in childrens' and illustrated books - look inside to find any of those Famous Five stories you missed the first time round, and wonder at what they'd be worth now ( had they not fallen to bits).
