Other than the location and the initial deal on rent, there's no real positives to living here. There is no leasing office, good luck getting a response without constantly pestering them. Here's some of my experiences from living here: I didn't get a key fob for months after moving in then it quit working because the fire alarm system was reset (don't ask me) and I had to yet again pester them for months, I wasn't even given a code to get in as an alternative to the fob thankfully other residents gave me one otherwise I couldn't even access the building past my move in day when the leasing team was actually there; a pipe was leaking like crazy and about to burst (plumber's words as he said someone rigged a fix that was eating away at the pipe) and I had to beg and beg for them to come fix it (they said it could wait a week) - they never followed up about the water damage or anything; my fridge quit working and I lost a bunch of food without an offer for compensation - I was given a FILTHY fridge in exchange (it took me about two hours to clean); I didn't have heat for about 6 months (did not concern them, offered no alternatives); I wasn't able to open my mailbox for months and now the fixed version doesn't lock so anyone can get in there; a package thief likely lives in the building (packages stolen from front doors and the mail room - lots of notes from residents left in the elevator warning people to have stuff shipped to UPS, I've had a few stolen); trash chutes on multiple floors were broken/inaccessible for months; they state in their ads a maximum for utilities which is already a huge range yet they consistently charge you outside that range ($175 on average not including electricity/internet); they charge a processing fee for you to pay rent which they don't mention until you're a tenant; the trash and recycling is shared with the businesses on the first floor - if they overflow the receptacles by not breaking down boxes, etc. the apartment residents get charged extra as well; people smoke like crazy inside the building so it smells horrid a lot of the time and the doors have huge gaps under them so the smells seep into your apartment; the building is pretty dirty, the cleaners just rub what smells like Fabulouso around in the elevator and essentially call it day; you aren't given an actual outer door key so all building entry depends on electricity, I've been locked out during a power outage waiting for someone to leave so I could actually get back in - I've brought this up numerous times and never gotten an answer as to how to get into the building when the power is out; people don't clean up their dog poop in the parking garage; nothing they swore would be fixed before move in was fixed before or after I moved in; they are increasing my rent so that my place is more expensive to live in than larger units in the same building that have air conditioning (mine doesn't). I've heard so many bad experiences from other tenants that are far worse than mine. There are way better places in the same area for the same price or cheaper, I highly recommend going with one of them. Management may seem lovely and responsive at first, but once you sign that lease good luck hearing from them again.
