Absolutely incredible experience. The new owners have truly taken this place to another level. This was honestly the best sushi I’ve ever had. I ordered a couple of rolls and decided to try nigiri for the first time, and I was completely blown away. The standout fish were the yellowtail and the king salmon—both were unbelievably fresh, buttery, and perfectly prepared. The nigiri alone changed my entire perspective on sushi. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. I got the Rainbow, Hot Summer and Baked Crawfish and they even gave a complimentary roll for me to try! Every single one of the rolls was amazing and so fresh. They all tasted unique and individual. Best part is that this place is ever affordable for the quality you are getting. It’s clear the new ownership is passionate and intentional about what they’re serving. The waiter was so sweet and helpful. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves sushi or wants to experience what truly great sushi tastes like. I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to tell my friends and family about this place!

The nigiri and sashimi at this place is phenomenal and greatly priced! The quality of the fish is great and they even “flavor” each piece that compliments the fish (yuzu, chili), so it’s almost like an omakase experience. The service is also awesome and they were super nice and gave us complimentary stuff, I guess they saw that me and my boyfriend ordered a lot of food lol. Overall, really happy with this new management, great to have nearby, and hope people start trying their nigiri because wowwwwww.

A Must-Try Under New Ownership! I'd always been hesitant to try this spot, but when I heard it was under new ownership, I knew I had to give it a chance. While I can't speak to the past, I can confidently say that under the new ownership, I'll absolutely be back! The family who runs it is incredibly kind, and the fish was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh, and they were generous with their cuts. They even gave us a sneak peek of an upcoming menu item: a seared salmon nigiri with crispy garlic chili oil. It was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to see what else these new owners have in store. If you've been on the fence, now's the time to give it a try!

The food is on par with some of the more expensive restaurants. Sushi was fresh and full of flavor. Really hope to see this restaurant grow in the future. Big con of the visit was waiting on the food. Staff notified us it was going to be a long wait and it was. My wife and I are still willing to come back and try more of their sushi. Con: No free refills.

Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The service, food, lighting, music, cleanliness, and overall value are all great, in my opinion. They have a unique vibe for this side of town. If you like sushi, check it out for yourself. You will not regret it.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh, and our server was both friendly and attentive. As a special treat, they offered us two pieces of smoked salmon nigiri to sample for free - a new item soon to be added to the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Despite all the hype I saw on IG, we left underwhelmed. Service was okay--our server was kind, but not very attentive. I asked for lemon in my water, and he forgot about it. We started with the yellowtail carpaccio. It was fresh, but it felt like it was missing something. Other sushi restaurants usually dress it up with a sauce or toppings that give it more depth. The sushi was overall average--very middle-of-the-road. The Hot Summer Roll wasn't great; the chopped tuna gave it a strange texture we didn't enjoy. On the other hand, I did like the Tataki Tuna Roll--the seared tuna was thick and a little odd, but overall the roll worked. We were drawn to these rolls because of their "unique" sauces (mustard, soy, and garlic), but honestly, you could barely taste them, so the flavors fell flat. The miso soup was lukewarm, which was just disappointing. Luckily, we had to stop by the market nearby, so the drive didn't feel like a total waste. But overall, I wouldn't rush back.

We stopped by on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the service was fantastic--our server answered all our questions and told us about the special of the day, a deliciously fresh tuna. Great food at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

In the middle of a strip mall, it looked like a very small place from the outside. But it turns out that although narrow, it's deep and accommodated like a dozen tables. There was a small sushi bar, but no one sat there whilst we were there. Came in for a quick lunch on a Fri with a work friend. There was only one table when we arrived but maybe half a dozen when we left. They seem to do some decent lunch business. There was a sushi chef and only one server. Pretty sure there's at least another person in the kitchen. But this server was running around trying to do everything: take orders, get patrons what they want, do the to-go, etc. He did seem to be running slightly haggard. We both got the bento boxes, knowing what to expect when you get bento boxes. Sigh. Yah, everything was just okay. It came with a Miso Soup, small Salad, pan-seared Gyoza, and a California Roll. I also got a side of Tuna Sashimi, which was cut very small and thin, but for the price it was okay. By the time we were trying to leave, the server was so busy and we had to wait while he was checking out all the to-go folks. Finally we just went up to the front to pay our bill.

Went to try this restaurant after we saw a Instagram video that was posted recommending it, and I will say it did not disappoint. The ambiance was great, the sushi was fantastic and the service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Under new management! The team may be new but the rolls are still outstanding. Love their poke roll, best I've had there so far. Namesake Hayashi roll is also very good. Family had spicy salmon and spicy cowboy and loved the flavor on those as well. Service is prompt and outstanding. Clean interior. Will definitely be back regularly. So excited to have good sushi in south OKC!

Under new management but same great sushi. This is a south side gem! Service was great and like I said the sushi was delicious! I opted for the Hot summer roll and if you like a little spice it'll do the job.

This place was really awesome! I really enjoyed the food. From the waiter (Jonathan) to the sushi chef (Jay) and Suki, they were all friendly and kind. The food was delicious! Come to this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. I really enjoyed it here. I will be back to bring famiy and friends.

The new owner Peter is great, we always said it to Sushi bar. He's always sure to tell us about new stuff to try... this is always fresh never any complaints!!

Stopped in on our way back home to Dallas, and so glad we did! Delish! We ordered several dishes and scarfed down every bit. Highly recommend!

As of June 2025, this family has taken over the restaurant and they are SO kind. They care about their customers and the food they serve. If you have questions about the menu they gladly answer and give wonderful suggestions. The inside gives off a cozy feeling. I recommend the Gangster Roll and the Salmon Lover if you like fresh and straightforward rolls. My friend got the Albacore Lover Roll and the Poke Roll, both very unique and flavorful. Definitely will be going back!

Amazing sushi! Hayashi has new management. They were great! Very kind server, I saw someone new was at the sushi counter. I was worried the rolls may be different since I had only had the older gentleman there before make it. Sushi was still as good as ever! Sushi chef waved and said a nice goodbye. If you want good quality sushi come here! (If the old owners see this) I will miss you! I have been dining here for 10 years and always enjoyed seeing you both and see that you're doing well. I hope you both have a good retirement!

Sushi lovers, this is the place to go in OKC. Sushi is fresh. Quality is excellent. Restaurant is clean. Jay and team are friendly and helpful.

Best sushi in Okc. The amount of flavor you receive from each bite is incredible. New management has made improvements with a new menu with appetizers and price listings for the rolls.

Please give this place a try if you're looking for good sushi in south OKC. I visit this area often but have never been in. However, we were looking to try something new and decided to stop in tonight. The service was great and they were very friendly. The food was also fantastic and very fresh. It's a very unassuming place from the outside but the outside is very warm and welcoming. Definitely do yourself a favor and give this place a go. We can't wait to come back

New owner but same family. A nephew of the original owners has taken over. The old chef/ owners are retiring and are teaching the new chef/owner the sushi until the crossover has been finished. We ordered the Volcano, Rock n roll, Dragon, and the Heart Attack. Same great sushi, but the new guy is a fresh change of the experience. He was very adamant about telling me he was the new owner, lol. We may "dine in" again for the first time in a long time, lol. It's such a great dining space, too. It needs to be occupied with customers, lol.

This is the best sushi I have ever had and I travel quite often. My husband and I love the Hot Summer Roll, but you can go wrong with anything they make. Their sushi is top grade and flown in fresh. To top it off, their service is exceptional!

I came by with some friends for dinner Saturday. Its been awhile since i ate there because some people where leaving bad reviews because of the older lady who used to worked there. They said she was mean to them. The sushi was good as i remembered. The sushi reminded me of the sushi I ate in places like Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It had extra flare to it to make it unique yet traditional. It wasn't like your typical sushi you see everywhere. I can tell they put alot of effort and attention into making the sushi. I will definitely come back for more. I really enjoy the nice service and attention the sushi chef gave me. They try to see what i like and they make recommendations for me. As for the mean lady everyone talks about, i kinda miss not seeing her. She not there anymore. She wasnt that bad in the past. I guess it only takes a few people to influence others. As for the sushi, i love it. The lady? She made me laugh and smile. Too bad she is not there anymore.
