Started with zucchini sticks served with ranch dressing, hot, crisp and seasoned to perfection. The salad and soup arrived beef barley soup spot on. The salads had homemade dressings, a little too much for my taste. Next time I'll order it on the side. The came the main courses meatloaf and prime rib, with sides of garlic green beans and raviolis. Meatloaf was average, raviolis and sauce blah, needs more Italian herbs and spices. Prime rib very tender could be cut with fork, served with large dish of aujus and creamy and coarse horseradish. Peach cobbler served with whipped cream and ice cream. This was to cover up it really wasn't peach cobbler but instead was peach crisp. It was more crisp than peach. It did not taste like peaches.

Yes and Oldie but Goodie. It's all about the Food and Customer Care. Cristo, Sarah and Vanessa. If I knew the Cooks name I'd add it. Try The Chicken Fried Steak, Pork Chops, Steak and BBQ Beef Sandwich. So darn good it's Yummy'isous.

Old standard in Hayward. The original owner passed but still old school Hayward. Dice at the bar! Solid drinks, seniors n dining area. A greasy, dive, w solid drinks and food. This is not a yuppie spot. Real down Hayward folks! It's old and hopefully here to stay.

A Hayward classic. Not a throwback to times of yore, but a place where someone can immediately feel like a regular. A welcoming, warm entryway opens up into a cozy bar, with a private dining room on the right and a seemingly endless dining room to the left. The staff hustles, the drinks are plentiful and the food is solid. Strangely, all the photos are of the space and not the food, but considering all the history covering the walls, it was tough not to get distracted. Pictured is the long list of items 86'ed tonight (including the zucchini sticks, which you can see in the second photo). Was a popular night!

Excellent Early Bird Specials. Pork chops were moist and tasty. The Liver and Onions were the Best. Tender and tasty.

Not really my cup of tea. Dated furniture and decor, however friendly service, a table is always available and prices are good. My dad is 82 and has gone here to eat since it opened and he just loves it! He goes there regularly. Oh, they serve wine and beer here too. Not sure about mixed drinks....
