The Hearts Hotel (Braunlage, Lower Saxony) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Hearts Hotel’s name is a pun on its location, in the mountain town of Braunlage, surrounded on three sides by Saxony’s Harz National Park. It’s not the first place you would expect to find a playfully stylish, decidedly modern boutique hotel, but that’s exactly what it is. The rooms come with a bit of rustic roughness, but just a bit — for the most part, they’re minimalist-inspired and rather urban in their refinement. The outdoor life is the main focus, and the hotel’s food and beverage program supports active travelers with an upscale restaurant, a hip bar, and an outdoor cooking school." - Tablet Hotels

Had an amazing stay here! We slept in the attic room, which was nice and spacious. The breakfast was amazing, loved the fresh bread every day, freshly baked customisable eggs, plenty of other choices like fresh waffles, yoghurt with toppings, and a good coffee machine. The lounge room was also really nice, complementary tea everywhere, and snacks and other soft drinks you can take and write down your room number. Outside there's also a load of nice spaces to sit and lounge. The restaurant was good, however quite expensive and a very small card with limited options so I wouldn't reccomend going more than twice during your stay. All of the merch they have is amazing too! However one small thing, the lights in the room were impossible to figure out since they're controlled by pads on the walls, and we accidentally kept turning everything off🙈 Besides that definitely reccomend going here.

Super friendly and the restaurant is fantastic. Super stylish interior and tidy, clean rooms. Sadly not very pram-friendly due to loss of stairs. Definitely recommended!

the best thing about this hotel is the breakfast i think! such a great variety of tasty food and drinks. a lot of love to detail. you can even have water, tea and coffee to go. our room was well designed, a blend of typical harz region style and modern industrial style. we had one of the bigger rooms and this is needed i guess. but we missed a sofa, a proper coffee maschine (there is a kettle, tea and instant coffee) and a fridge. at this price range i expect to have these, as well as bathroom amenities if you are very picky. this hotel is more about its food, spa facilities and great location — not a hotel room you will remember because of its uniqueness. don’t get me wrong though, it is decent room! the hotel offers lovely places to enjoy time outside. unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to check out the spa/sauna. in general, we felt welcomed and can only say nice things. we enjoyed our stay. we just had kind encounters with staff members. during check out we noticed that bills were added to our room accidentally and the receptionist was able to get this sorted quickly.

This hotel can absolutely be recommended. We have stayed her 4 people, 2 adults and 2 adolescence and we have really enjoyed our stay. The employees are competent and friendly and service minded.

Breakfast was very good. I also liked the atmosphere at the bar and the big choice of drinks. The room was also good.

Fantastic location and very characteristic design and concept - every single detail has been paid attention to. Wonderful mountain feeling, great service and an amazing gym! Restaurant is 5* as well.

Very nicely designed hotel, rooms are cosy, but they had no refreshments nor a coffee machine (extra 6 euros), a bit of a cheap move that made me feel like I’m staying in a low cost B&B. The food offered in the place is excellent, and people working in the restaurants were friendly and professional. Nevertheless, I want to point out to a few shortcomings: 1) A rude and unprofessional male receptionist (who was also working on the bar at the night shifts). He was very passive aggressive and continuously annoyed, and definitely made sure to make us feel like we are not welcome there. In simple words, he has no grasp for what customer service means. 2) The Sauna is small and has only a capacity of 8 people max. 3) Value for money wasn’t great, as they were cheap on certain quality experiences for guests: such as not offering spa slippers (you have to buy or bring your own), no refreshments/tea/coffee in the room, no free water in the spa area. These things really take away from the nicely designed and relaxed environment they are trying to create. 4) Spa robe was only per request, the receptionist had to remind us 3 times that they locked money against it, which made us feel like we are here to steal it.

PLUS: Nice interior with attention to detail, really great staff, AMAZING breakfast, places to hang out around the property, town is well located to explore Harz. MINUS: TINY bathroom, room (207) was above the breakfast area, so couldn't keep the window open in the mornings from about 6:45, sound insolation between the other rooms was so-so. Overall the property was bigger than expected- so busier. But it was nice. :) They do warn you about the construction during the day which is not very noisy, but if you would want to sit outside in the garden areas, you would be annoyed. If you are away most of the day hiking, then it doesn't matter. :D There are a few trails that you can easily access right from the hotel, which was super nice. Just don't expect a lot of forest.
