Fantastic location and very characteristic design and concept - every single detail has been paid attention to. Wonderful mountain feeling, great service and an amazing gym! Restaurant is 5* as well.

PLUS: Nice interior with attention to detail, really great staff, AMAZING breakfast, places to hang out around the property, town is well located to explore Harz. MINUS: TINY bathroom, room (207) was above the breakfast area, so couldn't keep the window open in the mornings from about 6:45, sound insolation between the other rooms was so-so. Overall the property was bigger than expected- so busier. But it was nice. :) They do warn you about the construction during the day which is not very noisy, but if you would want to sit outside in the garden areas, you would be annoyed. If you are away most of the day hiking, then it doesn't matter. :D There are a few trails that you can easily access right from the hotel, which was super nice. Just don't expect a lot of forest.

It was our first visit in this hotel. Great location, you can enter National Park from hotel’s property. Breakfast is superb, fresh ingredients and so much choice. One of the best hotel breakfast we have recently. Wealso had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing. The room was very narrow, especially with the bathtub just in the middle so it was hard to walk. Also what was missing was a kettle to make tea or coffee in the room. Also the lighting in the room was too weird, you are not alble to have a normal light in the evening without red, green or pink color, for us it was disturbing. Wellness area is very small, so it was packed with people and there was no space to chill after sauna. The gym is like from another era, it is old and not working properly. I would not say you can do a proper workout here.

Very nicely designed hotel, rooms are cosy, but they had no refreshments nor a coffee machine (extra 6 euros), a bit of a cheap move that made me feel like I’m staying in a low cost B&B. The food offered in the place is excellent, and people working in the restaurants were friendly and professional. Nevertheless, I want to point out to a few shortcomings: 1) A rude and unprofessional male receptionist (who was also working on the bar at the night shifts). He was very passive aggressive and continuously annoyed, and definitely made sure to make us feel like we are not welcome there. In simple words, he has no grasp for what customer service means. 2) The Sauna is small and has only a capacity of 8 people max. 3) Value for money wasn’t great, as they were cheap on certain quality experiences for guests: such as not offering spa slippers (you have to buy or bring your own), no refreshments/tea/coffee in the room, no free water in the spa area. These things really take away from the nicely designed and relaxed environment they are trying to create. 4) Spa robe was only per request, the receptionist had to remind us 3 times that they locked money against it, which made us feel like we are here to steal it.

I really enjoyed staying here for one night. Enjoyed a wonderful hike in the nationalpark (started on foot), relaxed in the sauna afterwards and had a superb breakfast the next day. I felt really comfortable at The Hearts Hotel.

Everything was really nice. Very friendly staff, good food, nice location. One thing bothered me. We bought a 3-course meal online, because it was 45 instead of 55 EUR, if you buy in advance according to the info. However, the same menu is actually 42 EUR if you buy it at the hotel. So we paid more, while we were thinking that we bought it for a reduced price. That’s a bit misleading and deceiving. Other than that everything was perfect thank you.

This place is unique! Really well thought through: from the special design, to the concept of multiple buildings that makes it almost look like a camping, to the lovely outdoor kitchen with the fire grill that makes for a great dinner after a hike (by the way, you can start hikes directly from the hotel). The staff is super nice (they made me recharge my electric car overnight, so I could start my trip back to Berlin with a full charge), and they do everything to make you relax and disconnect from the city life. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of regional products and fresh produce. Will most likely come back for more stays!

Super nice cozy hotel. Great suggestion for a romantic and calm weekend getaway. All staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and delicious! Too bad that the last day the waffles runout. All in all a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!
