The Henry - Review - Memorial - Houston - The Infatuation

"The Henry, which has locations across the country, includingone in Dallas, has opened at Town & Country Village. It's an all-day indoor-outdoor restaurant with a coffee bar that starts pouring at 8am and serves a fast casual breakfast. For the rest of the day, there's a crowd-pleasing menu including yellowtail sushi, filet mignon, rigatoni vodka, and cheeseburgers. There’s also weekend brunch and a kids menu, and at over 7,000 square feet, the space is large enough to handle most group outings." - Brooke Viggiano

The Henry just opened about three weeks ago. We stumbled upon this elegant, gorgeous gem while searching for a new spot for Sunday brunch. We honestly couldn't have gotten luckier. Y'all... when I tell you this place exudes attention to detail in every sense of the word, I mean everything: the stunning ceiling tiles, the classy holiday décor, the extensive dual indoor/outdoor bar, a separate coffee shop offering smoothies and pastries, plus a private conference/dining room. And let's not forget the beautiful and friendly staff that take your experience to another level. I was greeted by the hostesses with the mostest, who gave me the warmest introduction to "The Henry." They immediately made sure I was taken care of; asking if I already had a table and making me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I stepped in. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous, and I can easily see this place being packed on the regular as more people discover it. They also offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, which is such a great bonus. My husband and I ordered the Scottish Salmon and the Korean Prime Skirt Steak... and if Yelp would allow emojis, this line would be full of them. Both dishes were incredible--perfect temperature, perfect flavor, simply to die for. Our waitress, Adriana, was wonderful--attentive, friendly, and consistently making sure we had everything we needed. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the umbrella tables outside are super cute. GO now before it gets super packed. I personally can't wait to be back.

My friend and I ended up here after two other restaurants were at capacity with holiday parties. We weren't sure what to expect, but were willing to give it a try. And we were NOT DISAPPOINTED at all. Keith was our server. He made great suggestions for us. We had drinks and appetizers: Brussels sprouts, smoked salmon with caviar and the short rib potstickers. For dessert, we had the olive oil cake....OMG....it was delicious! I would definitely come back. Great service and great food.

I wanted to share my thoughts about my recent visit. First, I must say that the food and service were excellent. However, I noticed that no description of the type of pasta used in the Bolognese dish was provided. On a less positive note, the music was too loud, making it difficult to hear the waiter. It felt more like being in a club in Vegas than a local neighborhood restaurant. (There are many middle-aged to older individuals in Town and Country area) On my first visit, I look forward to trying the rest of the menu and sitting at the nice patio bar during my next trip.

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Sorry Henry, but as a paying customer this afternoon who sat at the bar, my experience wasn’t as great as when I attended your soft opening. As soon as I sat down I told the bartender what I wanted as my cocktail which came pretty quickly. After that no one spoke to me for 15 minutes. Finally a different bartender asked me if I needed anything and I replied “yeah, I would like to order”. Placed my order for the Korean steak skirt bowl and it didn’t taste as good as it did during the soft opening and the temperature wasn’t where it needed to be. No one asked me how I was doing or how my food was. Didn’t receive any water and my drink was placed on the counter without a coaster. I wanted to get the delicious olive oil lemon cake, but at this point I just wanted to leave. I think you need to send your training team back at least to the bar. The Henry was amazing!!! Food, drinks, service, ambience were all 10 out of 10! The decor is beautiful. Large bar with indoor and outdoor seating with televisions on both sides. FREE easy access parking!!! I recommend the Filet (medium well) entree and the Korean skirt steak bowl, which were both excellent. The olive oil lemon cake and the caramel butter cake had me drooling. Service was PHENOMENAL!!! Knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I will definitely be a regular at this establishment. I loved my experience 💚

Google
Had the most amazing experience for lunch at the Henry!!! My friend and I sat in the bar and I was absolutely WOW’d by the level of service from so many of the team members. Every single bartender stopped said hello, asked if we needed anything, and/or offered a drink. A1service hands down 🙌🏾!!!! Kris, Adam, Ephie, Donovan, and Cameron were just a few of the amazing individuals whose names I gathered but we were also greeted and helped by so many others. If this level of service is consistent, this establishment will easily be the top tier of Houston restaurant life. Bravo Henry team, this is what you call top notch hospitality 👏🏽.

Google
A really lovely experience overall. The space is beautifully designed, and the ambiance feels effortless and inviting. Camilo at the bar was wonderful, knowledgeable, attentive, and his cocktails were exquisite. Definitely a place I’d return to and happily recommend. In pictures is their Riesling wine and spicy tuna and crispy rice

This was my first time visiting The Henry in Houston (I’ve been to the Phoenix location many times and always loved it), and my family and I had a fantastic brunch. Sarah was our server and she was exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish. We were a party of five with an almost 2-year-old, and the entire meal was delicious — don’t miss the crispy rice and tuna appetizer. The coffee was outstanding as well; I had the Wildflower and it was incredible. Sarah and the whole staff were extremely accommodating, especially with a toddler in tow. The space is beautiful, and everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

This location just opened so I would recommend being a little understanding. We sat at the bar yesterday for a couple drinks which were delicious plus great service by the staff. We doubled down with grabbing a coffee this morning morning @ 8am. Back to back awesome service.

Yelp
Finally got the Henry experience. I've been interested in this place prior to being open to the public: 11/12/25 Had a meet and greet here at 9:30am. They have a small breakfast menu. My table guest had a mimosa and ordered the avocado toast, which he was informed that the did not have all the ingredients for the ordered, so they settle for the egg, bacon breakfast sandwich, with potatoes. And pretty avocados I ordered the 2 egg breakfast plate, came with crispy bacon & potatoes -1 (that also came with burnt onion, which had a burnt taste), nice toasty toast (that had a burnt flavor as well), and freshly squeezed OJ, which was great, had little to no pulp in it. -2 Our thoughts were, why didn't they have the ingredients of the avocado toast, but served toast and avocados ??? Please let me know what ingredient was missing when you had the one and the two? (Side note: if you care to read)::::::::: I was told that you place & pay your order at the counter prior to sitting and collecting. But because we arrived at separate times, we ordered from the table. This is a concept I had a very negative experience with from Dish society, if this is truly the Henry concept, I won't be returning, plus their owned by the corporation of North Italia from another review mentioned, which is not good news to me.

Yelp
Tried it a few times to make sure my review wasn't just based on a one off. For a neighbourhood restaurant, the prices are very hefty, and then you also have to contend with valet. During the soft opening they did not allow people to dine in because it was for "VIPs" only. On grand opening night (with reservations) they forgot to offer water. Then they claimed to have a full bar but could not make a vesper. The Brussels sprouts were crispy but bitter. They did it twice for us, and there was no saving it. The salmon and caviar appetiser was quite salty, as were the potatoes with the filet mignon. The cook on the filet was done as requested, and the braised short rib dish was good too. We did have to ask for a steak knife for our steak...attention to details are missing for a grand opening night, so what did you guys do during soft opening? Then we came for breakfast, and for a salmon lox bagel, it cost $20. Crazy work! Had to wait 20 minutes for it, and when it finally came out, they gave it to someone else. There was no apology or offer of a refund. By the time my order came out, it was another 20 minutes (the place was not busy at all), my bagel was not toasted, had barely any smear, and I had requested the tomato to be left out and it wasn't. Oh and the berries looked sad. The third time, and fourth time we came by, the service was excruciatingly slow...and they ran out of one of our ordered items. The burger is $23 and is decent but I wouldn't want to make a reservation for a burger every time.

Yelp
Welcome to the Neighborhood and how glad you are here! Came for an amazing impromptu experience for The Henry soft opening. From start to finish, we could feel the energy and details to make this upscale modern American with a twist. The blend of flavors in each dish we had was heightened and thoughtfully delighted our senses. Tanae took amazing care to make sure that we had all we needed at our table. Her attention to details was phenomenal. Appetizers: chicken tortilla soup served with a generous topping of melted cheese. The yellow fin tuna was beautifully decorated with cucumber and soy sauce to compliment to get the meal started. Entree: Chicken fritas. This dish was a perfect blend of lightly flavored BBQ style chicken and skinny fries.Served with a side of broccoli was a nice mix of flavors. Drinks:espresso martini with the signature" H" printed on top.Definately a must! Vino: fox bloc a lovely red wine made by Caymus family for The Henry. Dessert: croissant bread pudding with toasted pecan, apple raisin compote and caramel ice cream. Complete deliciousness! Molten butter cake with warm carmel ,pretzel toffee and vanilla gelato. Thank you to the many who took care of us during our dinner. Keith took amazing care to check on us often and that high degree of service absolutely makes us ready to return. We met The Henry's manager Brandon and he spent some time telling us interesting things about this location. Zae did a mad pour of caramel for our dessert photos and made a point to make sure we had a pristine dining experience. Even Jafee their coffee barrister welcomed us to complimentary pastries on the way out. A perfect dinner and we absolutely will be back!!

Yelp
If you walk in and think "gosh, this place seems familiar", it's because they're owned by the same parent company as north Italia. So, at least on the aesthetic end, there's nothing that sets The Henry apart. My mom ordered The Rocket--"it would be better if it were hot. The avocado toast was "really delightful--a perfect thickness to not be soggy and was delicious." While wasabi would improve their two sushi dishes, both were good, but indistinguishable in flavor. The texture of the yellowtail was the winner as the "crispy" rice was more gummy than crispy. The waitstaff is excellent.

Yelp
Met up my bestie here for Sunday brunch and they were poppin! We had a resy but still had to wait a bit. We wanted to order some coffees while we waited but their espresso machine was broken so any espresso based drinks were a no go. So didn't really start off great. For brunch, we shared the pretzel app, the Brussel sprouts, and a salad. The pretzels and Brussels were my favorite. Would be willing to try them out at a later time once they work out the kinks.

Yelp
The Henry in City Center is such a beautiful spot! The aesthetic is warm, modern, and inviting--every corner feels thoughtfully designed. I also loved that they offer complimentary valet, which makes the experience feel even more seamless. The patio is perfect for relaxing, and their exclusive-to-the-restaurant wine options were a standout. Definitely a great place for a stylish meal or a laid-back evening out! (Get the butter cake!)

Yelp
New Hot Spot Alert!! Today I got the chance to dine at The Henry in Houston. First impressions...beautiful thoughtful decor and airy vibe. Nice indoor and outdoor seating and with open windows bringing the outdoors inside. It was a beautiful sunny day so we opted to dine al fresco outside. This was my first visit at this new restaurant in the area so I had high expectations and it did not disappoint. FIRST...let me start by giving a SHOUT OUT to our beautiful young waitress "Aria". She was so pleasant and inviting to us as guests and very helpful with menu and drink selections. You can tell she really enjoys working here and loves her job. I hope they continue hiring quality wait staff and people invested in making this place feel upscale like that because it provides for a good overall experience. Now let's get into the food. Since it was midday we did small plates and drinks and ordered from the brunch/lunch menu which had a good variety of options. Our table ordered the spicy tuna sushi rice cake, yellowtail sushi which is freshly made to order, jumbo lump crab cake, short rib pot stickers, and the American cheese burger (refer to pics). For drinks, I personally tried the Signature Hank espresso martini with atop dusted in coffee sugar and it was one the best I've had. Also, our table ordered the spicy pineapple margarita, Bloody Mary with bacon & goat cheese and an old fashion. The waitress told us The Henry is known for their craft cocktails drinks and we all agreed they were well made/top shelf quality and we were all satisfied. Like I said, the waitress made our day enjoyable and she told us all about the quality of food and so we were impressed and looking forward to our next visit to try the dinner menu soon. This is a very nice place to come for brunch or dinner with friends or even special occasions. I didn't eat inside but from what I noticed there is ample seating. Also, the bathrooms were really nice as well. I'm not sure but it would nice if they have a private dining space for groups. As far as price goes...its pricey to say the least that being said this would not be an every week or weekend place to frequent but for date night or girls night out with friends this is a Go-To spot to to impress. If you're in the area it's worth a try for HH, brunch/lunch or dinner. The Best Foodie Review!!

Yelp
Came for the soft opening lunch and it blew me and my friends away. They location is in a perfect part of town to be able to have this type of elevated dining with classic New American dishes. The staff were all very welcoming and prideful in their menus and knowledge, taking time to explain all of the flavors you will experience. We ordered some cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desserts--not a single thing disappointed. The flavors of everything that hit the table blew us away and we all took turns sharing each others orders. Top favorites were the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, the Korean Prime Skirt Steak and the Chocolate fudge pie. Cant wait to come back and try their brunch menu as well.

Yelp
The soft opening of this magical neighborhood eatery in the Town and Country / City Center was everything it was hyped up to be. I'm sure it's beautiful in the day, but nighttime is such a vibe. The restaurant feels dark and mysterious but also warm and inviting. This place screams date night with its glowy lighting and hip background music. It will be packed after opening, And the food, let me tell ya, delicious. Appetizer were the pressed tuna sushi and the pot-stickers. I re-order both of them but I would take the sushi out for second date, get it, you won't regret it. Our party ordered three separate entrees, the filet mignon, Korean Skirt Steak and the Scottish salmon. We shared the entrees amongst each other and all agreed that there was no clear winner. Each dish could stand on its own. Both steaks were perfectly cooked and tender and the salmon was flaky and flavorful. For dessert, we had fudge pie and bread pudding, with the bread pudding coming out on top. Soft openings are always going to the best possible service and server, Amira did a fantastic job explaining and suggesting items. The support staff was also top notch which is why they are flown out for these types of launches. Oh yeah, the drinks. I had the house pinot XV, and my party had the sangria and smoked pineapple margarita. XV doesn't miss imo. Overall, The Henry is a winner. 11/10.

Yelp
New Resturant Alert in the City Centre Area!! It was too gorgeous yesterday to sit inside so I decided to visit this new spot since the patio was complimented on so many times. Plenty of parking..free or valet! I was greeted soon as I walked up. I sat at the bar and was immediately assisted. It was 11am and they were still serving brunch but I already knew what I wanted.. a crab cake and a sidecar. It was 5 o'clock somewhere. I got a little worried because I asked for a side car and the bartender went to talk to a manager because I assumed he didn't know how to make it. Then they both looked up ingredients together... then he pulled out the vsop Hennessey..followed the instructions..and it was PERFECT. The crabcake was full of crab and crunchy. Loved it! I ordered the club and it was good too but I was already too full to eat it. The fries wete just regular fries. The ambiance is very nice. They had music going. They have a coffee and dessert bar. The regular bar is partially inside and outside. They work as a unit. I swear 10 people helped me yesterday. John the manager checked on me at the end and was very nice. The pricing was mid range. They have the games on for the sports lovers. Definitely a spot I would return to!

Yelp
The Henry hit it out the park! Attended the soft opening for dinner and everything was amazing! Food, drinks, service and ambiance were all a 10 outta 10! It's so pretty and the bar is awesome with indoor and outdoor seating. A+ for parking which is easily accessible and FREE. The filet entree and Korean skirt steak bowl were excellent!! Olive oil lemon cake and caramel butter cake had me drooling. This place is going to be a hit and I will definitely be a regular patron. Shout out to our Server Ira!

Yelp
I came here for a weekday lunch with my coworkers. First of all--our server, Tanae, was fantastic! I have an egg intolerance and she made sure my dish could be cooked without egg. I didn't want to make a fuss over it, but she prioritized it. She also gave us plenty of suggestions on what we should order since it was our first time here. Tanae's stellar service made me want to write a review of The Henry immediately! The food was great. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the pretzels are made in-house. I couldn't have asked for better service or better food. The atmosphere was also top-notch. It was a breezy 67-degrees outside, so the whole front half of the restaurant connecting to the bar outside had windows that turned the restaurant into an extended outdoor area. There's even a cafe section of the restaurant, and the coffee I ordered was delicious. I can't wait to come back for weekend brunch!

Yelp
The place is gorgeous and I love the outdoor indoor bar concept. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and accommodating at the bar. I had the turkey dip and was underwhelmed. It should not be on any menu. It was deli meat, not turkey, on a bun with dipping sauce and cold average fries. It just wasn't good at all. I also had the 28 dollar crab cake and it was more bread and fried coating than crab. Not interesting or innovative in any way. When I saw the price I figured it would be packed with crab. The small salad on the side was the best part of my entire meal. Beautiful place but the food I had was souless.

Yelp
The food was fresh and delicious, it is presented in a pleasing way, the atmosphere is great, the host and servers are very friendly, and the food comes quickly.

Yelp
We had the privilege of being at The Henry for their initial Sunday brunch. It was amazing. The service - Thank you Isabella - was spot-on. She was patient with us as we enjoyed the morning. The vibe along with the breakfast was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend one of their Bloody Marys. We will be back!
