"Sometimes, a restaurant only needs to do one thing and do it well. That’s exactly the deal with Hidden Kitchen, which only serves gluten-free blue corn waffles that come in both sweet and savory options. Order bacon, egg, and avocado or the turkey, cheese, and caramelized onion option, or go the dessert route with strawberry, banana, and coconut whip. If you can’t choose between sweet and savory, meet in the middle with their fried banana, bacon, peanut butter, and maple syrup waffle. While they're only open on weekends, they have another location in Cayucos that's open Thursday-Monday." - Allison Green

Google
A hidden gem, certainly worth a stop. We enjoyed our beach hike and decided to have a snack and a cup of coffee at the Hidden Kitchen before continuing our drive. The patio is very nice and offers great views. Staff members were helpful and friendly. A visit can be highly recommended.

Google
It is a week later and I’m still thinking about their churro blue corn waffle with a fried banana. The laid back vibe, quick service and delicious food make it worth a visit, and likely you’ll become a frequent fan. They use their ingredients generously, the tacos include a ton of avocado, the smoothies are practically spilling over the cup and the waffle is stacked with their homemade toppings.

Google
One of my absolute favorite breakfast spots in the world! My boyfriend and I love coming here to share a smoothie (they’re incredibly thick and delicious). Our top picks are the Bishop’s Buzz coffee smoothie and the Big Sur Blue. We also can’t get enough of the San Luis Sunrise waffle—topped with bacon, avocado, egg, and their signature HK sauce on a blue corn waffle. The atmosphere and vibes here are unbeatable, and the service is always top-notch. The line can get long on weekends around brunch time, but they move quickly, and it’s always worth the wait. Whenever I’m in the San Luis Obispo area, stopping here is a must!

Google
Very cool beach vibe breakfast/ brunch spot with ocean views, featuring their signature homemade, farm to table blue corn waffles and tacos. The waffles are available sweet or savory and are to die for. Definitely unique and a special treat. My visit breakfast spot when in Cayucos.

Google
Place is way too cute. Their strawberry smoothie was great and we really enjoyed the blue corn tacos and blue corn waffle! It’s our first time trying blue corn so that was a new experience. Sitting outside was chill and they allow dogs which is another plus. Great vibes and lots of parking outside!

Google
We checked out this highly rated and popular gluten free brunch restaurant featuring blue corn waffles and tacos. The food was sumptuous. The blue colored waffle was not the prettiest , but if you imagine it like a blueberry it should be ok. The texture and taste were both pretty good. The place is super busy, lines before it opens at 9am, though they move fairly steadily. We were there at 9:45 on a Friday, we didn’t have much problem finding a spot in the outdoor area with our puppy. The restaurant and the town is very dog-friendly. Tip: The restaurant is next to the beach so it’s very nice to take a walk afterwards.

Google
Food was terrific, and atmosphere is excellent! We had some tacos, a sunrise waffle, a churro waffle, and the turkey melt! 4 of us, and honestly, we could have shared! We also had 2 smoothies, and they were huge, and delicious!

Google
Stopped here to grab breakfast and two weeks later I am still thinking about it! If only it wasn't 4 hours awayI would go again. I got the Morro Melt which was a savory waffle. This place does not disappoint and I highly recommend trying to stop for a meal if you have a chance. Sit out on the patio and you can listen to the waves as you eat. Super dog friendly location. My boyfriend got the plaskett pork breakfast tacos and he enjoyed those also.

Yelp
What a fun place!! The setting is great with plenty of outdoor pup friendly tables with ocean views order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. We ordered the morro melt and the blue corn waffles with strawberries bananas and cream. Both were very filling, different, delicious and just fun!! Prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Yelp
Probably the best smoothie I have ever had. We were visiting cayucos for a few days and every time we walked by this place the line was down the street and around the corner. I decided to call in to order my smoothie so I didn't have to wait on the crazy long line which seemed to be pretty slow moving. The smoothie was ready in 10 mins and honestly was amazing. It is crazy thick, had to eat with a spoon!! So much flavor and sweet but not too sweet.

Natalie G.

Yelp
I tried the Santa Lucia breakfast tacos, and wow, these were hands down the best breakfast tacos I've ever had! The homemade blue corn tortillas were incredible, and everything tasted so fresh. We went on a Saturday morning, and while there was a long line, it moved quickly. You order at the counter and then find a seat either inside or outside. The staff was so kind and attentive, and we sat inside, which was adorable! The decor is charming with lots of unique little tchotchkes from local businesses. I can't wait to come back. Bonus: The entire restaurant is gluten-free, which is a huge plus!

Patricia U.

Yelp
I ordered a blue waffle with fresh fruit to go and I was Not disappointed. Fresh coconut whipped cream, sliced strawberries and bananas and a side of maple syrup. Delicious! Customer service was quick and helpful. I did not eat inside. Maybe next time!

Jules K.

Yelp
I was on a really great date, and we went here! I got the San Luis sunrise, and it was incredible. I'm a huge fan of blue corn, and despite eating low carb will break my rule for blue corn. The delicious bacon, sauce, avocado, and eggs were a perfect combination. I also had some kind of coffee smoothie with dates, and agree with some other users--this place has amazing smoothies! Check it out!

Jaz M.

Yelp
Hmm mixed feelings about this place. I loved their blue corn tortillas and waffle, just super delicious. However the macha taco I had lacked flavor. The ranchero taco was ok but again just needed salt/more flavor. My wife's waffle was great but the bacon had bits that were just fatty. The resteraunt had a great view of the beach and the resteraunt itself is super cute. After ordering our food, our order was out in about 10 minutes so it was pretty quick. Overall, the menu here is unique and extensive and worth checking out. Stay safe out there folks, happy holidays.

Catherine N.

Yelp
The outside view of this place is breathtaking, very scenic and gorgeous to look at while enjoying your meal. The waffle was ok, it was very heavy and filling. The breakfast taco was better and actually really good. The items on this menu are more expensive in my opinion, my singular taco was $7 and the waffle was $18...yikes. The smoothies do look amazing and kind of like an ice cream/sorbet. ig: @cravingswithcat

Yelp
Came here in a group of 4 for a late brunch around 2pm on a Saturday and were able to order and just barely manage to find an open table in the back patio. It was quite busy despite it being so late in the day. You order at the window at the front of the shop and take your number to a table of your choosing in the back. Its nice and beachy vibes, with wooden picnic table vibes and some good canopy shade cover from the sun. Bishops Buzz Smoothie ($11): my friend and I asked for this to be split between two cups, which was a good call because the smoothies are massive! This tasted mostly like banana, with a touch of dates and coffee, and was a nice cool treat. Elote waffle ($19): also split this between me and my friend; the waffle is fluffy and hearty, without any crispy and just a little sweet almost cornbready flavor from the blue corn. The elote topping was nice and cheesy, and exactly what we were expecting. Oceano Orange Smoothie ($11): this was another friends that I tried a taste of; this is really yummy and tropical, somewhat like a jamba juice carribean passion smoothie but less sweet. Overall, cute place for a relaxing brunch by the beach! Definitely recommend the ocean orange smoothie (to split probably if you're like me and the entire smoothie would be a meal in itself).

Michelle V.

Yelp
The food was delicious and not your typical fare. We had the elote taco, lemongrass taco, and the morro melt. The elote taco was out of the world. Add a little honey and hot sauce to the morro melt and it takes it to a whole new dimension.

Esther H.

Yelp
Where to even start... food is so different, but in the best way possible. Service was great, be prepared to stand in line to place your order before seating. We tried the weirdo waffle ...fried bananas and peanut butter in a blue corn waffle. So good! The breakfast tacos muua! St. Lucia waffle was fantastic. Also ... order the upgraded coffee. Worth it! Ambiance inside and out is boho cool vibes. You can see Morro rock while you eat. Love this place. Can't wait to go back. I bought the blue corn mix to attempt waffles at home. Wish me luck!

Yelp
** Visited on Friday, October 18th 2024 around 9:30am An incredible & kind staff, DELICIOUS food, and right by the ocean? SOLD. My boyfriend and I have been coming to The Hidden Kitchen a handful of times in the past two years, and have been BIG fans here. Both the Cayucos and Cambria locations have amazing staff members, and their locations are pretty awesome though the Cayucos location is much larger in space. OKAY THE FOOD: * smoothies - three words; HEARTY and YUMMY. Their smoothies are thick yes, but VERY filling and honestly a great breakfast smoothie to start out your day. I absolutely love their Oceano Orange and my partner LOVES their Baywood Berry. * San Luis Sunrise Waffle - my all time favorite savory waffle. It's pretty filling and comes with the right amount of toppings that don't outweigh the actual blue corn waffle. If you're ever visiting Cayucos and waiting a GREAT breakfast/brunch spot, this is the place to go. Happy eating! :-)

Josue C.

Yelp
Service was perfect Food was mid but not terrible I would definitely come back . Food was made quick so that was nice. Size portion for everything was great the price of 75$

Brenna G.

Yelp
Even though there was a long line we got our food pretty quickly! I got the fiscalini fruit blue corn waffle and it lowkey tasted like tortilla chips LOL (to be expected tho) but the toppings made this waffle really good. I still prefer sally loo's tho super cute back patio though! love the beach view as well

Clayton M.

Yelp
This place was highly recommended to us, & it was good to try! I don't think the blue corn waffles were our favorite. We got one savory & one sweet, & expected the waffles to be slightly different but they tasted the same. Reminded me of eating a tortilla which was kinda interesting with the sweet stuff on top. Definitely a unique meal, and the stuff on top was really great, good flavor. Just didn't love the waffles, but that's just me. Service was great, location is awesome. We ate outside with a nice view of the ocean and the pier. Cool spot for sure!

Katherine S.

Yelp
I used to live around the area and moved away, but when I knew I was coming back to visit, this was first on my list to stop at. I've been here several times and I always love the atmosphere and the service on the food. It is right by the water so it's very beautiful whether you sit indoor or outdoor they sell cute little stuff as well like personal merch and other goods. The food is delicious I love the thick smoothies. The waffles are sooooo good you have to try it! I always recommend coming here to everyone. Haven't tried the tacos but as far as the waffles go they're aesthetically pleasing, most come with a lovely giant avocado half on top and they taste delicious. Especially with cheese and the hidden kitchen sauce.

Maggie H.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Came here at the recommendation of family members who live in the area! We got there soon after they opened and there was already a line, but it moves fast because you order and seat yourselves. The servers bring your food to you, but you do need to bus your own table and grab your own water/coffee. Servers are friendly and helpful with (free!) refills of iced coffee, and one of them cleaned up a high chair for our use since we had our toddler nephew with us. They are known for their blue corn waffles and tacos, so we ordered the Monte Cristo waffle and Plaskett Pork breakfast tacos, which both came out quickly and were delicious! Two tacos were plenty for me as the portions of egg and avocado are generous - and the sauce is so good with just a slight kick. We'll be back!

Mendy B.

Yelp
This is the only place IMO to eat healthy breakfast or lunch in Cayucos. Everything is fresh and so delicious. I went twice while I was in town because all the food on the menu looked delicious and u had a & time choosing. I got the breakfast taco the first day & waffle the next day. Super pet friendly & the staff is awesome too! Its across from the beach so you can eat and hear the waves. Might even go back one more time before I leave. Smoothies look yummy!

Gina G.

Yelp
Crowd is pleased! We ordered the popular San Luis and it was THE BEST! Also ordered the Weirdo which was liked by some but too weird for others ;) The smoothies are huge. The Oceano Orange was the most like Jamba and was delicious! Cute vibe. We sat outside and enjoyed the waves and cloudy day. Service was attentive and polite though you do order at the counter and bus your own plates.

Yelp
This eatery is along the main street of Cayucos and is very non-descript. We waited a few minutes in line to order from the outside window. The staff was friendly and helpful. We decided on our meals, ordered and then stepped inside to find a table. Most of the outside tables on the patio were full. We found a table near the window and could see the beach. Our food came out quickly, and OMG, this place is a treasure. Mr. B ordered the Santa Lucia taco and the Reef Ranchero taco. Starting with the Santa Lucia taco it was a hand pressed blue corn tortilla and filled with scrambled eggs, sauteed bell pepper, onion, mushroom, havarti cheese, avocado and two Hidden Kitchen special sauces. The Reef Ranchero tack was served on the same blue corn tortilla, filled with black beans, avocado and topped with a sunny side up egg and cilantro. Both were amazing! I chose the Elote Taco. It was served on the same hand pressed tender blue corn tortilla and was filled with Anaheim chile, bell peppers, corn, onion, garlic, melted Havarti cheese, a crunchy cabbage slaw, avocado, cotija, tajin, cilantro and two Hidden Kitchen special sauces. I can't begin to explain the quality of the food, it was fresh, and filled with passion. Every bite filled us with blasts of flavor. What a true gem! Wish we had a Hidden Kitchen near us, I would be there daily.

Ashlea P.

Yelp
An easy to find spot along the main downtown area of Cayucos. I had never tried a savory waffle until I ate at Hidden Kitchen, and boy did it not disappoint! My go-to is the San Luis Sunrise, but the last time I went, they had a monthly special of a "jalapeño popper" waffle, so I decided to switch it up. It was the perfect amount of sweet, spicy, and savory, I wish they made it a permanent menu item! Maybe one day I'll try a sweet waffle or even the tacos, as I hear those are delicious as well. We just don't make it to the coast very often, so I default to my tried and true favorite. We sat out front, where they have a few tables set up, but they also have some indoor seating and seating out back where you have a beautiful ocean view. Parking can be rough to find, especially in the summer time, as the coast is always busy that time of year. Weekends are busy as well. Don't let any lines scare you, the staff powers through them rather quickly. Prices are a little steep, but you are paying for high quality ingredients along with fast and friendly service. Let's face it, eating out anywhere is pricy these days. Living in that area also isn't cheap, so I'm sure rent space isn't either. I like guess they pay their employees fairly as well.

Tyler B.

Yelp
If you're in Cayucos, Hidden Kitchen is definitely worth checking out. We tried the Morro Melt, Bacon Bri Bliss, Avila Avo, and Carnitas Tacos, and all of them were fantastic. The Morro Melt had great flavor, and the Bacon Bri Bliss was simple but really satisfying. The Avila Avo was fresh, and the Carnitas Tacos were super tender and flavorful. Everything lived up to the hype and was unique in its own way. Definitely a great spot to try!

Hilary D.

Yelp
We were super impressed! Tried 3 kinds of tacos and they were all fantastic , berry smoothie was the best I've ever had, Fiscalini and Sunrise waffle were also delish! Service was great. Don't let the line scare you away, it moves fast!

McKenna H.

Yelp
So glad we stopped here for food! The line to order was about 50 people long at 10am on a Sunday, so we called in our order to go and ate on the beach. This was one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten...the Monte Cristo waffle is to die for!!

Kristin R.

Yelp
Go! Food is fabulous ! Employees busy, efficient, and polite!! You order at counter then pick a table inside or outside! They bring you food. We had breakfast tacos. We recommend. They also have blue waffles. We did not try but watched several people happily eat theirs.

Michael G.

Yelp
This was a new location for breakfast for us. I The uniqueness of using blue corn for their waffles (and tacos) makes it unique. The waffles we both had were Amazing! The flavor of the blue corn along with the toppings made a great savory dish as well as sweet. The atmosphere is so relaxing, even with a cold breeze coming in from the ocean over Plexiglas. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone... including kids and dogs.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
I'm visiting from Oregon and dream about the amazing blue corn waffles here I want to come here whenever I'm in the area! You order at the outside window, then find a table. They bring your food to you pretty quick. I love the outside patio which overlooks the beach it's the next best thing to having a picnic on the beach. You still get the fresh ocean breeze and sunshine. There are a few tables with umbrellas and indoor tables that fill up last. We had the Bahn Mi special waffle and the Elote waffle both equally yummy. The menu is extensive enough to keep exploring

Anna S.

Yelp
The blue corn waffles are soooo goooood, especially for it being gluten free. The SAN LUIS SUNRISE was topped with bacon, avocado, and eggs...the hk sauce is delightful. The gentleman taking our order did not have the best attitude, everyone else seemed great. He seemed annoyed and not approachable. It's an order first and seat yourself type of establishment. You pay for coffee, and it's self serve. We also tried the REEF RANCHEROS and CANYON CARNITAS tacos. They were good, but it ended up being blue corn overload...still worth it. Would probably try MONTE CRISTO (something sweet) or a bowl next time. My favorite was actually the smoothie ISLAY IMMUNITY. It is composed of pineapple, turmeric, ginger, banana, orange juice, bee pollen...the bee pollen was atop the smoothie, unsure if also blended within. Regardless, it was deliciousssssssss, thick, need a spoon at first. Seating inside and outside on the patio. Bathroom outside on the patio.

Ali V.

Yelp
Very popular with locals, and always busy, Hidden Kitchen in the heart of downtown Cayucos, right on the beach (bring layers of clothing as you ma be sitting outside). Savory waffles are delicious, as are their tacos.

Rachel G.

Yelp
Hidden kitchen has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot on the central coast! There is always a line, but it moves quick and is definitely worth the wait. You place your order at the counter, take a number, and seat yourself. There's indoor seating and outdoor seating right by the ocean. The blue corn waffles are delicious and super filling. My favorites are the San Luis Sunrise with crispy bacon, avocado, and an over easy egg, and the Rancho El Churro with cinnamon sugar. We typically order a few and share to try all the different flavors. I recently just tried the Carnitas Tacos which were amazing! I would recommend ordering the waffles if you are sharing, and ordering one or two tacos if you want something lighter. I left very full and satisfied. Hidden Kitchen is a central coast staple with delicious food, friendly staff, and a great vibe. We love coming here to try different menu items and to check out the cute trinkets in store. Highly recommend to make a stop here and try it for yourself!

Wendy Y.

Yelp
We went there on a Sunday noon and there was a good amount of people. You would order your food outside and then you find a table. There were still a lot of tables available when we arrived. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but indoor seating can be limited. The outdoor seating leads you to a beach view. I ordered the monterey mushroom waffle and it was so good. The waffle was a lot filling than I thought it would be.

Monique G.

Yelp
This place is hard to beat. I hate to rate it high as a local since it is already so popular, but it really is such a great place that I have to. Locals and tourists alike love this place.

Tony D.

Yelp
A great little place in Cayucos. It was our first trip to Cayucos, so we just trusted that everyone in the long line knew Hidden Kitchen was the place for lunch in town. The food and service were great and the lengthy line to order moved quickly. Everyone enjoyed the combination of waffles, tacos and smoothies for lunch.

Mary F.

Yelp
We love Hidden Kitchen!!! The food, the people, the view, the vibe, the specials.....mmmmmm it's all so lovely and sweet and beautiful and awesome and YUMMMM Thank you to all the sweet peeps and the nourishing for our belly and heart and soul too Love ya!!!

Joyce Z.

Yelp
Although I'm down in the Central Coast on average twice a year, it has been a good 10 years since I've been to Cayucos. Although not as busy as Pismo or Avila Beach, it is no longer the sleepy town it use to be and the food offerings have definitely gotten better. Look no further than Hidden Kitchen for hand pressed blue corn tacos like this trio of Elote ones that are definitely fork and knife tacos, it is so loaded followed by blue corn waffles like this Weirdos Waffles of fried banana, peanut butter, bacon ends and maple syrup. Superfood Smoothies like the Gorda Greens that taste more like a soft serve ice cream than a smoothie that is good for you is just icing on the cake. It was enough to bring me back in 2 months later, this time for two Canyon Carnitas Tacos, the Elote Lovin' Waffle and another Gorda Greens Superfood Smoothie. I have found the sweet spot of the perfect amount of food for two to enjoy on their outdoor patio without feeling like I needed a workout at Cayucos Beach across the street afterwards.

Ryan And Katy S.

Yelp
Holy crap this place is good. If you're a foodie, and like breakfast food, this is a must. They're known for their blue corn waffles and breakfast items, but just about anything you pick is going to be delicious. The back outdoor patio area faces the ocean, so weather permitting, you should definitely try to sit there. And the staff is super kind and helpful!

Jana P.

Yelp
This place has the yummiest waffles! I got the waffle with strawberries, bananas, whipped cream and syrup. I've been there twice and ordered the same thing. I love eating on the outdoor patio.

Brandon W.

Yelp
After three visits, always consistently excellent. The HK sauce is mild in spice and everything tastes unique. I have tried elote tacos, elote waffles, canyon carnitas, weirdo waffle and they are all excellent. My only mistake was trying to eat a taco with my hands. I had sauce all over my face and both hands were saturated with finger licking good sauce. The Gorda greens smoothie has been the only drink I have tried and I would recommend this one. Parking can be a challenge on weekends, there is indoor and patio seating. Bathroom is in the back patio area. self serve water is next to the coffee station

Rachel J.

Yelp
Nothing invigorates like breakfast on the beach. Although this place is more like breakfast on the patio facing the parking lot between you and the beach. But it was still a pretty good time. The food was pretty tasty, maybe not $18 tasty, but I did enjoy the different flavor of the blue corn waffle. The margarita was pretty standard, but the Bloody Mary really stood out. The mix is very tasty and the accoutrements were fun and complimented the drink well. They must charge extra to afford the rent at a place so close to the beach, because it was definitely the most expensive place we ate during our entire time in town. The staff were great though. Helpful and jovial, they provided prompt service and even cleaned our table right away after a bird decided it was actually a bathroom. Luckily this was before any food came out. Just one of the perils of enjoying patio dining. Too pricy to go all the time, but delicious enough for it to be a treat.

Shadi A.

Yelp
I think solid breakfast choice in this area. First you wait in line and thereafter you can go inside to find a seat. Don't worry somehow there's always plenty of seating! Plenty of parking too even on a Saturday when I went. Patio has nice seats but of course shaded one's are more desired. Patio seating is cute but there isn't really a view but close to ocean. Fiscalini Fruit Waffle--5/5 a must! Looks so plain in photos but I think they douse this gluten-free waffle in butter and it was amazing! Probably best waffle I have ever had! San Luis Sunrise Waffle--3/5 contrary to reviews was not great. Looked amazing presentation wise but flavors were not cohesive. Bacon wasn't juicy and fresh iono wouldn't recommend. Lucia Taco-4.5/5 yummy you can order 1,2 or 3 tacos! Bishops Buzz Smoothie 3/5 It was alright coffee banana blend. Oceano Orange Smoothie 4.5/5 Great portion size. Can easily share and all smoothies have creamy textures so comes with with a spoon too. Something weird is that you bus your own table yet they ask for tip... And by bus I mean clearing your whole table and putting your utensils, plates, clearing food in the bin etc. It wasn't a big deal but it was gross seeing everyone's food piling up in the bin etc. I don't think they get a chance to wipe down all the tables either. Overall, would recommend!

Pat M.

Yelp
First time visiting Cayucos. We ate at The Hidden Kitchen. We ate carnitas tacos on a blue corn tortilla with BBQ sauce, Cole slaw, and pickled onions. Sweet & savory delicious! For dessert, we shared a blue corn waffle with pecans & whipped cream. It was heavenly! You get in line & order/pay for your food. Then you find an empty table to sit at. They bring your food to you. We sat on the patio overlooking the beach. I will definitely come back.

Amelia S.

Yelp
Very delicious superfood smoothies. They are a bit pricey but they are thick and creamy. The staff recommends having the smoothie with a spoon, and I can see why! We'd like to come back and try some other items, as the menu looks really good. The store has some seating indoors but the patio is big and spacious. This would be a good place to enjoy brunch on a nice day. Staff is very friendly.

Christa B.

Yelp
I was super excited to eat here. Gluten free kitchen with vegan options, yes please! The waffles couldn't be made vegan. There were two taco options that could be made vegan. My husband enjoyed his tacos, served flat on tortillas that seemed handmade. My tacos were also served flat, heaped with greens. When I looked closer, all I could see was black pepper. I had the slice of avocado off the top and saw the pepper was mixed all through the dish. Pepper is painful in my mouth, and I can't eat it. My husband was finished with his meal before anyone came to ask about our food. He was able to wave someone down for me to get something I could eat. Seems like everything is heavily peppered, so l left hungry. Staff was nice about the situation and refunded the dish. I've been trying to eat here for a couple years, and I planned to eat and enjoy a meal. When I finally to order, it was rough. Two options for a vegan.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Finally tried this beautiful spot known for their blue corn waffles/tacos by the beach in Cayucos. We got there 10 mins before closing and still were able to order which i appreciated. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and has indoor and outdoor seating. You are supposed to order before you sit down and then waiters will bring your food over. We got the Elote Lovin and San Luis Sunrise (blue corn waffle) paired with Islay Immunity and Baywood Berry smoothies. I'm not sure how the San Luis Sunrise tasted but my Elote Lovin waffle was amazing! Everything paired so perfectly together making the most immaculate bite. The salsa with the grilled bell peppers, onion, and garlic paired so well with the corn and cheeses on top of the blue corn waffle making the most immaculate bite. The smoothie I had was the Islay Immunity and this was very ginger and turmeric forward, and didn't taste too strongly of ginger which was a plus for me. This meal is filling and left me very satisfied, I would get the same waffle again however try something new to drink alongside it.

Alex H.

Yelp
Don't let looks deceive you - this place looks tiny from the Main street but once you go inside there is a cute bar with seating, indoor tables and ample outdoor seating that has views of the ocean. We came here on Thursday after surfing when they have their "community night", and there was live music outside until 8pm. For entrees, we ordered the protein bowl with carnitas and the carnitas nachos. They were both a absolutely superb!! Would come here again and again for the food, it was to die for! They have three beers on tap, and a wide variety of canned and bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well. We ordered our local favorite, the Big Sur double IPA (YUM)! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming - Definitely will be visiting this place frequently! Thanks, Hidden Kitchen!

Yelp
This is a Cayucos must! Probably one of the best corn tortilla tacos I've ever had! I'm a big fan of blue corn and to see a small, healthy business hand, pressing homemade blue corn tortillas is absolutely outstanding! Everything from the smoothies to the tacos in the service are wonderful! The only thing I'm bummed about is only getting to come here once on vacation. Definitely a great place to stop after the beach for sure! Super cute awesome location and really adorable seating area inside too

Yelp
The hidden kitchen is such a gem. The waffles taste so delicious. The blue corn brings a nutty flavor, the texture of the waffle is chewy, it's a great combo. Our entire family was fan. My husband who was dubious of how good a waffle can be was so impressed, he ordered three more to go for our drive home. The ambiance of the restaurant is very chic and Bohemian, definitely a great coastal vibe. The service was speedy and the staff are welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be going back next time when we're in cayucos!

Yelp
Great food. Had the Cayucos Cowboy savory waffle and it was perfect. Just a hint of sweetness to satisfy. Loved sitting on the back patio with our dogs, feeling the ocean breeze and looking at the sea.
