The food is 👌🏾 and the owner is so sweet. The vibe inside is welcoming. The music is great and the food is even better. You don’t even need to have other people with you. You can come in by yourself and have a great time and get some good food. (Menu included in a video.)

Was invited out to the bar for the first time and didn't know what to expect I was pleasantly surprised that there was karaoke and it was pretty good! Very enjoyable evening! The place was packed when I got there probably close to 10:30. I lucked out and got a table with several seats in the karaoke area after a gentleman saying and him and his friends all left afterwards. It seemed to be an ebb and flow to the crowd throughout the night so you could get a seat at different times. The other side is a bar and there's also some tables on the side. And also on the karaoke side there are several tables and a pool table in the back and one loan little couch lol. I didn't see the regular menu but they even have a late night menu that's pretty decent. They have specialty drinks but can probably make just about anything.

Enjoyed my time and would definitely go back. I did experience some unfavorable service from one bartender but that was made up by the other and a manager. I look forward to trying their happy hour.

Google
Cool happy hour spot with pool tables, wing specials and nicely poured drinks. The service is great. They have experienced bartenders who can pretty much make anything. The ambiance is cool it's semi older crowd. They have nice music at night which creates a different atmosphere and also have some special events like comedy shows occasionally. Parking can be tight sometimes. Once the other stores in the shopping plaza close the parking opens up.

Had a great time. Fries was off the hook!! Drinks were good too. Service was quick and cool. Went on a Sunday at 7pm. They were doing karaoke 🎤... it was lit. Thanks for the good vibes!

Google
Service is always friendly. I had the Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap and it was really good. I also enjoy the house margarita. The Dj that spins on Tuesday’s for Happy Hour is really good as well. I feel safe when I go there and always meet other friendly people.

Nice chill spot to go to for a good drink and wings. Owner is friendly, fun, and has awesome suggestions on cocktails to try. I will revisit.

Google
So came here on a Wednesday night and came for the enjoyment fo karaoke which was great. But when trying to order a drink from the bar. The female bartender she provided the eorst service tonight! And was too busy having social conversation with her girls rather than handling customers and taking orders. I waited for a good 10/15min until ahe was done laughing in the corner before i asked a second time for my order! Definitely wont return. And its not even busy in here for this poor service

Yelp
I pulled up to the spot for a birthday gathering after hearing a few people call The Hideout the place to go, and they weren't lying. You come for the drinks, but you'll end up staying for the atmosphere. The pours are generous so if you're coming with friends, bring a designated driver. You'll definitely get your money's worth. I ordered the fried deviled eggs because so many people recommended them and now I get it. Crispy, seasoned just right, and way better than I expected. They went real well with those strong drinks. I hear the wings are really good as well! The crowd had real local energy in the best way. No pretentious vibes, just friendly people and a laid back atmosphere. It feels like one of those "if you know, you know" spots. If you plan on stopping by, come early. Parking fills fast and once the bar gets moving seats disappear

Yelp
5:00 on the nose and the bar was full, SHEESH! And it's not on the smaller end either, it seats like 15 people. I had tried to come to this bar one night because I knew they were doing karaoke, and that was a mistake... the parking lot was completely full. I didn't even realize how large it was -- I had to park somewhere in the back and walk over. I had a friend go on ahead and he said it was completely packed in there. Fast forward to more recently, I planned to meet up with friends there, and that's when I was surprised to see a full bar at 5:00. There are some high tables around the bar and even those were occupied. There's a second room with several more high tables, a DJ booth, and a pool table. That side was completely empty, so that's where our party of 4 had to go. Regardless of where you sit, you must order at the bar. Their happy hour is a pretty darn good deal -- eats start at $3, and strong drinks like long islands are only $6. I got the mango habanero wings -- that's a favorite flavor of mine that never lets me down. And flavor aside, their wings are great! I was surprised when a DJ took over around 6:00 on a Tuesday! We were sitting very close to the booth, and once he started, it got REALLY loud. Thankfully, we were able to move to the other side near the bar when a table freed up. The place is definitely a neighborhood staple and a total vibe, but I do not recommend showing up at a later time. It's going to be packed! And from what I can tell, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is.

Yelp
Able to figure out it is a very popular place from my 30 seconds there. Full by 6pm on Friday. Patrons are not welcoming to give you any space, even if there are open spots, claiming all open spots are only for their friends. Don't go if you're not local or not meeting someone people there know.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice lil hole in the wall happy hour spot. Great drink prices for bottom shelf. Lemon pepper wings weren't bad. My key take aways are The DJ sucked. Played nothing but old people cookout music. I couldn't get jiffy with it. They literally have one person working. My man was taking orders, making the drinks, cashing people out, and running the food out. Severely short staffed.
google avatar

Lienne L.

Yelp
I will start this review on a positive, the food at this place is excellent. Especially for Bar food, some favorites are the deviled eggs and the wings. Drinks are strong and priced well. I went on a Friday night around 10pm and it was busy. My friends and I initially grabbed a space at the bar to try and order food but this proved to be a lot harder than we thought. Bartenders need to work on their customer service. Waiting 5+ mins just to be acknowledged whilst they stand in the corner is disrespectful. Additionally a lot of them seemed under the influence. I can say that I will give this place another try because of their food and beverage but for no other reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice bar with good food. Definitely loved the fries, chicken wings and fried mushrooms. Had a decent experience with the price paid.

Yelp
Best wings in town!! Hands down.. The now have karaoke nights which was pretty cool. Drinks were ok nothing to rave about. But those wings were delicious cooked perfectly.. a little pricey for 5 wings but they were worth it. Small spot with a bar, pool table, several high top tables, DJ Check them out they have open mic comedy nights every 1st Thursday of the month too.

Yelp
BE CAREFUL of the rift raft. I was attacked and jumped inside and outside of this bar on friday. I had my gun stolen and security shady. Dont think you are safe because the cameras inside dont work. I believe they saw me by myself and saw an opportunity to steal from in an unprovoked altercation. Security targeted me instead of the aggressors and I feel it was a setup. I know the security gaurd with the dreads stole my gun, just found this fools flashlight in my purse. This clown made a whole lie of claiming it fell out of my purse on the ground. Turning it into the police. God dont like ugly! This bar is not safe at all. Tried to speak to the owner and she doesn't care. I bet she is in on it too. Why you aint got the cameras on? No one deserves to get jumped and their belongings stolen... and stop lying about what happened and quit trying to tarnish my good name. You will get sued for defamation. Try me. Keep my name out your mouth. I hate cowards and thieves. Tell your little friends who jumped me they better lay low...police is on yall behind.

Yelp
We went to the Hide Out as an impromptu date and were not disappointed. The place was crowded, but we could still order our drinks and wings without a long wait. The DJ was good and played songs that made me dance and reminisce on my old college days.

Lex W.

Yelp
Stay away from the hideout if you want a drink and a bite to eat. It is chaotic and significantly understaffed! Ordering a drink requires much effort and involves jockeying for position to get the one bartender's attention, which takes a long time. Good luck. Oh, and the one bartender also serves the food for the entire place, so there is no one at the bar half the time. So bad. And don't even make an effort to order food. Ours never arrived after waiting for an hour. We finally had it and checked out; of course, our food order was on the check and had to be removed because, as I said, we were waiting for an hour and got nothing! There are much better places that are adequately staffed, where you don't have to fight to order, and where you actually receive what you ordered. Imagine that.
google avatar

Yelp
The wings!!! Just come where for the wings - you'll be in heaven! The place is nestled in a hidden location between warehouses and autoyards but worth it. The service is quick and food fresh :)
google avatar

Yelp
This is the definition of a hole in the wall. It was a bit chilly inside , limited seating, and could use a bit of updating. I was there to celebrate a friend's birthday and they had a comedy night. The redemption was the beautiful bartender and the burger I had. Not sure if I would go back again but overall I did enjoy myself.

Yelp
Sharina was our bartender. This is a place for locals and regulars which was very obvious however we were truly welcomed from our bartender buying one of our apps for us to try to the gentleman who covered a round. If this place wasn't so far from my job it would become my regular after a long stressful day of work. I ordered the jerk chicken tenders with rice and broccoli. I appreciated how everything is fresh including the pinwheel fries and mushrooms. I love hot food. Sharina was attentive and makes a great drink. Also the food is priced well

David D.

Yelp
Great place with awesome food. Bartender was great she recommended the wings which were awesome. Courtney rules

Yelp
This spot is definitely a "hole in a wall" place. Drinks were great...food was good... but there didn't seem to be any servers... the table tops were dirty when I got there... cleaned it off myself. I took off two stars just because of that. The vibe though was 10/10. I think I'll give it one more shot... maybe it was an off day.
google avatar

Yelp
Got here at 9pm. Got a table that was dirty with another groups checks and old drinks on the table. Husband got drinks at bar and was told someone would come and clean our table. At 10pm exactly the waitress comes to our table and says they are no longer offering the full menu, only the late night menu, which was significantly smaller and didn't have the entrees and appetizers that we wanted. How convenient. Can't review any food because we never got any. Oh and our table was finally cleared at 10pm as well.

Yelp
I've been scoping the place since the beginning of the pandemic after moving to Laurel and wanting to find a local bar. I finally made it out and had a good time! It's clear they have regulars and everyone was having fun. Happy hour prices are great and even though I don't usually eat meat, I tried the wings because of the reviews and the lack of menu options for me. The flavor was good, but I wish they were fried harder. Will make the request next time if I order food, but will likely eat before going. Our bartender was really nice and My friend and I have decided to make it our new spot for music and drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
The lemon pepper wings were delicious, drinks were mediocre, service was ok, nothing special about this place
google avatar

Tonja H.

Yelp
Came here as a recommendation from a friend. It's a neighborhood staple for several years according to the locals in there. They have karaoke and pool tables but the best part was in my opinion the food! Ordered lemon pepper wings and seasoned fries; the wings were seasoned to the bone like they were injected with seasoning or something , crispy like I like them and overall outstanding, the fries were seasoned as well. My friend ordered the fried deviled eggs which to her they were okay but the total effect wasn't tasted with one bite. The drinks are definitely good I hate ghat I don't remember the bartender she is one of the reasons I will return. The hideout gives me Cheers vibes where everyone knows you. Well worth the 30 minute drive and will be returning soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Love it here the wings are the best. Such a good vibe reasonably priced drinks and food
google avatar

Yelp
Black owned and operated. Great place to see some local and new faces in the area. In house DJ and karaoke. You have to try the fried devil eggs! Parking isn't always the best but once you are there you are gonna want to stay.

Yelp
So glad I came here - a friend told me about it a few months ago and I had it bookmarked! I must say, this place can be a lil hidden if you're not paying attention...my GPS kept telling "you have arrived" and I did not see it at all (also it was pretty dark out). Parking in front of the bar is tight, but there is actually additional parking around the back which I didn't see until I parked a lil further down. I was starving after a long day and I ordered a chicken quesadilla appetizer and some wings. The quesadillas were a full meal size! The wings were delicious - yummy in my tummy and no it wasn't because I was so hungry. They really were that good! The happy hour actually goes until 8 p.m. Our server, Femi was awesome - very attentive and personable! Kudos!! Can't wait to come back here. They have a DJ and there are also pool tables! And they serve breakfast here - this is going to be my new spot : )

Yelp
WORST BARTENDER SO RUDE AND SEXIST YOU WILL ONLY GET GOOD SERVICE HERE IF YOU'RE A MAN. As a Laurel native I was so shocked that I have never heard of this spot! I saw they had a decent happy hour so I decided to check it out. WORST SERVICE EVER. The woman behind the bar had an attitude (only with me) from the moment I sat down. I ordered a drink and didn't like it and she told me she "can't do anything about it, the most she can do is add cranberry juice". At this point it was clear she didn't care to serve me or make my first experience there a good one. So I just ordered my food and waited. The bartender brings me my bill before my food even comes out... I look around and see she hasn't done this to anyone else, so I'm confused. I just let the bill sit there until my food comes. At this point I'm just trying to eat and go. So I do. I put my card down on the bill and all of a sudden her urgency is gone. I'm waiting to pay and she's walking right past me for about 7 minutes, but I wait patiently. She finally swipes my card when I notice that she charged me an extra $10??? When I try to get her attention to ask about it she pretends like she can't hear me. So then I ask a man standing behind me it automatic gratuity is a thing, just so she doesn't try to gaslight me, he says hell no. He also says that he's been going to this spot a while and noticed the bartender isn't very attentive or kind to young women who come in the bar. Now I look around and notice that the bar is full of older men. I thank him for his honesty and basically have to yell "EXCUSE ME" to get the bartenders attention. I point out she overcharged me and she pretends it was an accident (I've worked in the food industry, I've seen it all). She then tells me she accidentally put the man at the bar next to me's drink on mine... he had a rail drink which was $6 so that can't be true because you charged me $10 extra? She also charged the $10 AFTER I gave her my card and it was so clear I only ordered one drink and one sandwich. I would not let my husband go here after this experience. Somethings off.

Yelp
This is late night local bar , try a drink Called the Hydrate its a secret mixture . Some days the hydrate is white , but our favorite is the red flavor hydrate drink . The wings are everything we had the honey garlic , they are always fried to perfection and full of flavor .
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
I had the deviled eggs with no bacon. Very different and good. The drinks were really good and reasonably priced. I also had a veggie wrap and added salmon. They had an excellent DJ and it was Karaoke night. A nice place to hang out.
google avatar

Blue C.

Yelp
The mambo wings, tenders, potato skin, etc. Is delicious. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is pretty chill for a local bar. Everyone knows everyone which means less drama. The service was great all the way from the security, DJ and servers. I def recommend this place if you are a local or not to go and hang out with friends to eat good wings and nice drinks.
google avatar

Alexis H.

Yelp
This place is a nice hidden gem. The thing that has them falling short of 5 stars is how tight it is inside. You can really breathe or sit near the bar. The room that they have on the other side is more comfortable to sit and enjoy yourself (but you still have to walk over to the bar to enjoy). Other than this the food that I got was delicious. The drinks were also strong and you really can't beat those happy hour prices. For these reasons I will definitely be going back to the Hideout!
google avatar

Yelp
On a Friday night (11:30PM) I was invited by a friend I havent seen in 20 years to join him to have some drinks here. I arrived not knowing what to expect. I thought it was going to be a Country Music/Biker Bar with locals. The exact opposite they had a DJ playing Trap/Hiphop music. They had flat screen TVS and pool tabes. This is one of the places you cant judge on the outside. The security at the door was cool and the bartenders were friendly. I dont remember the drink specials. I was tipsy when I left so I will be back to do another yelp review. Priorto coming I heard Yelp reviews that the Fried Devilish Eggs are a must eat... Yes they are a must have. Highly Recommeded I will defiinitely go back for them and try some other bites. Delicious Great Bar food.
google avatar

Frankie M.

Yelp
Just your average bar to watch a game. It's pretty small inside. I didn't try any food so I can't rate the food. The drinks weren't that pricey. I had a crown royal on the rocks ran me about $7. I went here on a Saturday afternoon it was pretty dead. Good music playing though. 90s hip hop I grew up on that. So that was a plus. All in all not a bad place to watch a game and grab a drink. Next time I will have to try the food.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
The Hideout is the right name for this bar and grill. Tucked away in a shopping center, it's not very well lit or marked, so you may miss it. However, it was a cool vibe to get some drinks and bites with friends. Small bar area, a few tables and chairs. The other side had pool, but we didn't check that part out. The drinks are STRONG! You definitely get your money's worth and then some! The food was decent, nothing special, but it got the job done. Service was pretty good and definitely friendly. I hear they have a ladies night on Saturdays, so if I'm back in the area, I'll come check it out.
google avatar

Ebony M.

Yelp
Vibes upon vibes in this place! I went on a Saturday night, it was kinda quiet but great for what I was looking for that night. The bartenders are amazing, very friendly and attentive and makes great drinks! The music was good and it was a great crowd! I ordered the fried deviled eggs with bacon and it was so amazing, unlike anything I've ever had before. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Gita G.

Yelp
I went there, to meet a friend and check out the place, it was ok, kinda small, there was a dj that started playing around 10am, the bartender was really nice, made me a drink, I don't know what it was called I really don't drink, so I asked for a drink that was more on the sweet side than alcohol, it was a Kool Aid type drink very good, food was very good, wings were piping hot would go back again.

Sasha G.

Yelp
I've been to this place a few times and every time I come in the food is amazing and the customer services is great. They have an variety of flavors to choose from for the wings and the fried Devil eggs are great. They have karaoke, a live DJ, pool table, and comedy night every first Thursday of the month. It's a black owned/women owned business. Looking for some good food and good drinks it's a great place to go.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
I found this spot by accident, and I'm glad I did. It's less than a mile from my house. I ordered breakfast, and was very impressed. The French Toast was moist and fluffy, and the Omelet was very good. The prices are great as well. I went to another minority owned spot for breakfast, and portions sucked, and prices were way too much....not the Hideout!!! The prices and portions are great, so If you're in the area, stop in to this bar....I am sure you'll be impressed. I didn't get a drink, but they have lots of TV's and a Pool table. I will be back.
google avatar

Maurisha M.

Yelp
Strong drinks, great happy hour prices, and really good wings...what else is there to say! This place is a nice little bar with good vibes. I've been twice so far and enjoyed myself each time. I'm glad I found this place in Laurel, and definitely plan to keep it in the HH rotation.
google avatar

Leon M.

Yelp
I love it small, intimate, great crowd that's like family it's cheers in Laurel... Customer service is awesome.. Good food and drinks I'm there at least once a week..
google avatar

Demond S.

Yelp
The Hideout is just that, a low key, but semi-classy roadside bar, tucked away in a strip center. You my drive by it and never know it is there. To start, let me say, it would be wrong to judge this book it's cover. Once you walk into the bar, you are greeted by the bar staff. The drinks are flowing and food is fresh and hot. Any bar where they hand pour the liquor is my attention. The bar is fully stocked. Happy is everyday at the Hideout. Moreover, their apps are devil-licious, especially the fried devil egg appetizer. The Tuesday Taco special is fantastic. Fried taco shell with rich Mexican spices. The fried pickles are a nice change up. I here many of the other menu items are sensational too. What is also a nice plus is that they host venue of entertainment. So basicly, there is always something need exciting happening at the Hideout.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
Came here for the comedy. The comedy was good. The place was nice and the food prices were very reasonable. I liked the atmosphere and the service was good. Will be back.
google avatar

Mimi R.

Yelp
Amber, the bartender/server, is a doll. The jerk wings and mozzarella sticks were delish. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Tanesha F.

Yelp
A neighbor gem! Food is delicious and served hot, drinks are strong and the vibe is just right. If you're looking for a bar where everybody knows your name then look no further. Service can get a little hectic, but the bartenders are sweet and still seem to juggle the chaos quite well. Come here for HH, to play pool or watch the game i bet you won't leave here disappointed. I'll definitely keep the hideout in rotation! This place is budget friendly without skipping on good food and cocktails. You know sometimes you get one without the other. The wings, garlic fries and Quesadillas are delicious! I'll be back very very soon

Yelp
Great local bar. Very friendly environment, diverse menu for a bar and the staff is extremely friendly. This has become my favorite spot to hit after work

Yelp
Honey Old Bay Wings were amazing and the breakfast burger was good and fulfilling Would highly recommend! Also, they have a DJ during the week starting at 6pm and drinks were solid. Feeling good as I type
google avatar

Yelp
Very cool spot. Great vibe. Good happy hour prices. Food is typical bar fair, but serves its purpose. Parking lot is a little tight, but plenty of room inside. DJ played great music, really good time. Great spot to bring or link up with friends. I will definitely be back.

Candice H.

Yelp
The first time I came here my experience was flawless! So I live in the area and decided to come back; my drink were good. I ordered food for myself and a friend as I was leaving I specifically asked for beef nachos everything on the side as I knew I had a ways to go before I reach my destination. the kitchen put the protein in the cheese on the tortilla chips, which when I got to my point of destination they were soggy. Then to add insult to injury I ordered wings which were great the first time around but I guess tonight there was another Cook. I ordered wings, grilled lemon pepper, and the attached is How they came out they were burnt on the flipside the chips was soggy, so this didn't make for a great 2nd experience, especially being that I had to feed the alcohol that I ingested while I was there. I also call once I reached my destination and someone picked up and put the phone down then after holding for four minutes I hung up I called again several times for the line to be busy so if I could give a minus on customer service communication I would.

Yelp
'd discovering this Amazing Black owned gem tucked away in the cut of Laurel, MD. The bartender was a delight, the food was delicious (do yourself a favor and order some fried pickles), and the trivia game night was fun!!! Will definitely be back for more :-)

Yelp
Excellent little bar in Laurel. I stopped by at the recommendation of a friend while in route to Baltimore on a Friday night. I had a glass of wine but was more intersted in the food. I had old bay wings and the fried deviled eggs. WOW. FRIED DEVILED EGGS. They are a must have in this place. We stopped back on Sunday when leaving Baltimore to grab two more orders. Also, drinks are good and inexpensive. Good food, a nice vibe and drinks at the right price. This place is a true five star!
