The Hiramatsu Hotels & Resorts Ginoza (Ginoza, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ginoza is a small town on the east coast of the island of Okinawa, and the Hiramatsu Ginoza is a quietly secluded villa-style resort on the point of its own peninsula, tucked into a wooded area that separates it from the town. This is a low-key escape, to be sure, but a luxe one all the same, made up of a mere 19 rooms in plans that range from twin rooms to self-contained villas. At all levels you’ll have a jacuzzi on your private terrace with a view out to sea, as well as access to a spa and a restaurant that combines Okinawan traditions with French and Italian flavors." - Tablet Hotels

Everything was so good, this hotel is truly a food lovers heaven. we didn't want to leave! Dinner was outstanding (especially the Motobu picanha) and the standard wine pairing portion goes well. Breakfast amazing with the delicious pate and great selection of juices. Room feels quite tropical. Definitely get a room on the 2nd floor, as the room at 1st floor faces the pathways and there is no privacy for these rooms

Highly recommend this hotel! Beautiful ocean views, very comfortable/large rooms and amazing service. The infinity pool is breath taking. You can hear the peaceful sounds of the waves crashing throughout the property. The staff were what really made our stay special, they were extremely attentive and flexible to our needs! Service was likely the best i’ve experienced during 15+ visits to Japan. Special thanks to Ryoga who truly made us feel taken care of throughout our entire stay!

What can I say, this place was simply lovely. From the attentive service to the beautiful ocean views, to the exquisite food, this hotel epitomises what a resort of this calibre should be. We will certainly be back!

We had a wonderful time staying in this hotel with super friendly staffs and highly professionally services. We happened to stay six nights in this resort with an extra night due to the typhoon but the hotel just charged a portion of the original cost for hat extra night as they know we can not go anywhere. The staffs served us free lunch and provided us refill of amenities under super windy condition and that really warmed us. We stayed at the villa suite with separate living and dinning room. Every morning the staffs would prepare our breakfast at the dinning room with different styles such as western and Japanese alternatively. This is a small luxury hotel with only 20 some rooms as I remembered. We happened to tried the Italian restaurant at that night of the typhoon and the food is up to the standard for a decent quality restaurant. The pool inside our villa is nice to have fun with the kids and the big hotel pool is good too. The location of the hotel is a bit remote and quite a drive from the downtown. However, it is quite near the famous aquarium. The ocean view is excellent but the beach down the cliff looks dirty from a distance, so we didn't bother to get to it. Overall, this is a luxury hotel come with a price, but other than the money, the service quality an hotel condition are excellent. Great for family and couple that want a quiet remote location.

If you want luxurious accommodation (including a jetted outdoor bathtub on a beautiful balcony that catches the sunrise) overlooking the Okinawa sea, fantastic in-house cuisine incorporating Japanese and French ideas, impeccable and unobtrusive service... and if you don't really care about doing more sightseeing than just wandering along a rocky beach and picking seashells and looking at crabs and fish in rock pools, this is the place for you. It pretty much defines a getaway. But it really puts the away in getaway... unless you have your own car and an indefatigable appetite for not spending time in the lap of luxury that you just paid for, there's not really much to do in the vicinity. The beach right outside is not for swimming unless you're a turtle coming in to lay eggs (which apparently happens in the season!) but there is a traditional sandy beach close by, although that seems to be mostly for water sports. I saw some kayakers and some power boaters but no swimmers. I didn't come here to do stuff but to just look at and listen to the sea, and be pampered on the ground. And that explains my five stars for location... It's not a great location in the sense that most people would understand, although everything else about the property is objectively top-notch. As it is, I absolutely love it and I'm planning to be back here again.

My stay was extended for 3 days because of the 3rd largest typhoon in the history. But I’ve truly impressed kindness and hospitality of all staffs while this unprecedented time. Dinner is not only just delicious but also delighted our eyes. Definitely will come again.

The 19 room high-end hotel is exactly what you would expect and more. It was much like staying at an Aman hotel. ||We had a nice ocean view room with our own jacuzzi. Hiramatsu, whose origin and forte is in the French restaurant business in Hiroo Tokyo, served up wonderful meals. We spent our first night having a course dinner in the restaurant. Each dish was carefully made and with some type of surprise, be it in presentation, preparation, ingredient, or spice, and with some dishes served in authentic Japanese serving ware juxtaposed with traditional French. The second night we ordered room service on our outdoor terrace watching the stars to the sound of waves, after a long jacuzzi. ||They will cart you around the hotel premises and arrive at your villa exactly to the minute you request (punctual like a Shinkansen train).||(For wine lovers: Their wine list, while short, is eclectic and diverse comprised of high level wineries that are not of the highest level names, which is a good message about the extensive knowledge of the sommelier and therefore the selections are mostly rare wines. Most of their wines are imported directly as you will not see the importer names on the back label. You should also try an awamori which is a local Okinawan rice-based distilled spirit. 15+ year aged are as smooth and glycerol as outstanding aged whiskies/brandies)||Could keep writing about the relaxing experience, hotel & hotel grounds and service. But you really should go there to experience it for yourselves. Truly a top level hotel. You will want to spend much of the day at the hotel, pool, spa, and private beach rather than touring about.||In short it was the best hotel in Japan to date! And again on the same level with Aman.

We spent three nights at hiramatsu and we would give the place high marks. If you stay with hiramatsu you are expecting fine french meals and they certainly deliver that. The only drawback would be is perhaps more than three nights in a row for wonderful six course dinners would have been a bit much. We stayed in on of the pool villas (501) which was very secluded with a wonderful view and great feel. I would definitely recommend one of the cliff front villas over the rooms in the main building. I would think the first floor rooms lack much privacy. the one problem with the location is the beach in front of the hotel while nice to look at is not swim friendly. if you compare to the beaches on the other side of the island the water is not as clean and inviting. On the other hand, the beach is totally empty lending itself to long walks and beachcombing.
