The Hiramatsu Hotels & Resorts Sengokuhara (Hakonemachi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Within the spectacular natural refuge of Hakone is Sengokuhara, an Edenic enclave that’s long been among Japan’s most desirable destinations. Here, the Hiramatsu Hotels & Resorts Sengokuhara departs from local tradition and instead follows the model of a French auberge — though the presence of a spring-fed onsen bath in every room is reassuring. Each of the 20 rooms is laid out in a Western style, some with views of the Hakone caldera, while others overlook the lush greenery of the surrounding area. And the cuisine, though crafted from painstakingly sourced local ingredients, is European as well — chef Suguru Urushibara specializes in the French and Italian culinary traditions." - Tablet Hotels

Small luxury hotel. Beautiful surroundings very peaceful. Dinner and Breakfast are wonderful!! There is an onsen available in the room but you can also book a private onsen which is very nice. Room size is spacious fit 3 people comfortably. Highly recommend. Date of stayed 28/2/24

Amazing! This place was founded by a restaurant group and so it’s no surprise the included half board breakfast and dinner were Michelin level multi course meals that blew me away. Shout out to Shuto Ishii for providing incredible service despite our two raucous toddlers. The rooms were very spacious with spectacular views (especially on the higher floors of the residence building). Furniture was antique and mid century which contrasted nicely with the modern exterior. They included nice little amenities and diaper pail for the kids. Service was excellent and they arranged taxis and luggage service for us as well as massages and open air bath reservation. The included bath is pretty nice as well but is a part of the bathroom.

Absolutely amazing experience at Hiramatsu Resort Sengokuhara! The serene surroundings and breathtaking views of Mount Fuji made for a perfect getaway outside Tokyo. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff and exquisite dining experience. The onsen is a must! Highly recommend to book a private section. The room and common & dinning area were beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone seeking relaxation and luxury!

We had a wonderful experience at this property. Our family enjoyed the stay very much. We stayed at the annex block which is more private and we have a view of Mount Fuji. Onsen tub is in the bathroom and the water is of very high quality. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Spa, however is average and it is outsourced. I do not recommend for the price charged. Parking on the property is complimentary. This property is very near to the tourist spot, Owakudani.

We loved our stay. We had room 301 which had its private Onsen. Huge spaciousness in the room. Food was absolutely phenomenal all throughout our stay. Staff is super friendly and help. Plus, we loved that there is a free laundry self service. Would totally come back!

Beautiful hotel. Staff were incredible Rina was super helpful on email helping us plan our stay. We were also very impressed by assistance received by Yiu and another staff member who had been there for over 20 years, cant recall his name. The food was superb! Different menus each night. The whole experience was so good, we decided to stay here for an extra night rather than heading back to Tokyo for one night before catching our flight back to the UK. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel was stunning on good weather days and the hotel is very near the sites (rope car, cable car, boat trip etc.) Easy transport link just outside the hotel (local bus) however, very easy to use and regular etc.

Was trying very hard to get accommodation for our last minute trip. After adjusting dates and reducing the number of notes, we finally grab the last rooms of hiramatsu. Browsed through the website but due to fear of not getting a room, we just booked it anyhow. I was expecting the typical ryokan with a wonderful spread of Japanese dishes. It turned out to be italian/French cuisine! And from a restaurant which was named Michelin for 2024! Every dish from the first night to our last night was so beyond words. Totally enjoyed our 3 nights dinner though we didn't get our traditional Japanese meals...😅 the meals were just beyond words. Only the tongue can find the words for them . The room is spacious and wonderful. It was facing the hills with the autumn colors 🍁🍂.. and on top of that, a clear view of mount Fuji! We are so glad we stayed in that room as we spent a day in the room due to rain. But it was nice waiting for my. Fuji to appear behind the rain clouds..🌫🗻🌧🌫 😅. The room is so comfortable with the hot tub facing the beautiful view. The beds were so comfy and we slept well for the 3 nights there. Service from the staff was exceptional. They remember your preferences and will make sure you get your warm water, seating the next day.👍🏼☺️ Fantastic holiday. Thank hiramatsu for giving us so many wonderful memories

Only downside was that breakfast wasn’t very good, neither was the service. Japanese guests were treated better.||The rest is fine for a short stay, nothing notable. Our rooms was on the small side, did not try dinner bc of the price and not walkable.
