Beautiful and well looked after - nice big tables well spaced so you dont feel like youre rammed elbow to elbow. Food is absolutely delicious - had their squid, then the chateaubriand for 2, and then the stick toffee pud. All were absolutely delicious and served in very very generous portions. Felt, given the quality, it was really good value for money. Service was warm and friendly - and they dont add the service charge to the bill automatically, which is a rarity these days. We will definitely be back to try out more dishes!

Saturday lunchtime in a beautiful village pub - food top notch, delightful team and service spot on. Coffee hit the spot and was piping hot. Excellent value considering the quality. Thank you for not slapping on the so-called ‘optional’ service charge and for leaving this to the discretion of your customers instead. We’ll come back - and recommend you to others.

Superb dinner for my partners birthday. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent albeit on the pricier side, however this was expected for a Michelin pub. They welcome her with a glass of prosecco at no charge - thank you! Definitely book as the dining area is small and gets busy, great and not too noisy.

One of the best pub lunches we've ever had. Excellent menu choices. Faultless execution. Mains might look a little pricey but actually really good value considering the quality and quantity. Good selection of wines by the glass at sensible prices and service as good as the food. Go ! NB Closed Monday and Tuesday

Service was friendly, food was delicious and very filling. Booked here based off the reviews I'd read on google and TripAdvisor, so I am glad we tried this place. Would 100% recommend and return.

Had a fabulous Saturday night evening meal! Lovely atmosphere Attentive staff! Stayed overnight. Room 5 star comfortable and inviting finished to a very high standard. And the reason we went was because we had won the overnight stay in a raffle at Oakley infant school. So thanks to The Hoddington Arms for donating the prize and thanks for a lovely stay. We will be returning! By the way breakfast was outstanding too! Who on earth eats that much for breakfast!!!!

Great food. Great service. Delightful garden & terrace. Open all day but food hours are limited to when the kitchen is open. Good idea to book ahead for the terrace or indoors over the weekend. Haven't tried the rooms but they look modern from the outside. There's a separate disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

A lovely day/evening had. Accommodation perfect for a night away. Food of a very high standard. If you stay over, include breakfast… it’s incredible value for just an extra £15.

Just a good but ordinary village pub masquerading as a restaurant with prices to match. Go there for a quiet drink and you will be disappointed. Staff and mine hostess are not interested in chewing the fat--too busy serving admittedly tasty adequate meals in a rushed and small bar area.

Champignons! Freshly picked and sauteed in butter and white wine. The rest of the menu was quite good as well, but the mushrooms stand out.

Really nice food and service. Managed to fit us in even though they couldn't take any further bookings for a Sunday lunch after popping in for a drink on the Saturday.
