One of the best pub lunches we've ever had. Excellent menu choices. Faultless execution. Mains might look a little pricey but actually really good value considering the quality and quantity. Good selection of wines by the glass at sensible prices and service as good as the food. Go ! NB Closed Monday and Tuesday

Great food. Great service. Delightful garden & terrace. Open all day but food hours are limited to when the kitchen is open. Good idea to book ahead for the terrace or indoors over the weekend. Haven't tried the rooms but they look modern from the outside. There's a separate disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

Stopped for lunch from a walk of the local countryside at a pleasant looking roadside inn. Once through the front door we were met by a generous bar surrounded by several rooms mostly laid out for dining ... But a decent bar area as well. Two cask ales available and the one sampled from a local brewery was good and well served. We arrived at a busy time and the service was a little slow for our drinks but food arrived in short order and was excellent. We ended up at this pub because the one down the road that we had booked had no cask ale available even though advertised. Thank you The Hoddington Arms for coming to the rescue 🍻

Absolutely brilliant meal, did not disappoint in any way. The price was a little more than expected but can see why when the plates came out! Food cooked perfectly, lovely selection of vegetables rather than the typical cabbage. A well spaced out table too, usually when in larger groups it's a bit cramped but we were spoilt for room

We had a wonderful evening here! The staff is friendly and attentive! And the food here is very tasty. Each dish is a separate culinary masterpiece 😍

It's not about having mishaps, it's about how you deal with them. The Hodd managed our large, and slightly challenging, group beautifully. Menu is excellent a the staff top notch. Well done.

What an amazing find! Hoddington Arms is absolutely beautiful with a cosy atmosphere. The service we received was fantastic, very attentive and they also brought my brother-in-law a complimentary prosecco for his birthday. One lady in particular, who I believe was the manager, was so friendly and welcoming, was able to give us recommendations from the menu and just really added to the experience. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, compliments to the chef! Some of the best food I've had in the UK. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch celebrating our belated ‘Christmas in January’. Every dish was perfect and the quality of the Sunday roasts were superb. Staff were friendly, genuinely smiley and attentive. Was really lovely cosy and well spent afternoon in this beautiful venue! Well done to the whole team and thank you!

Just a good but ordinary village pub masquerading as a restaurant with prices to match. Go there for a quiet drink and you will be disappointed. Staff and mine hostess are not interested in chewing the fat--too busy serving admittedly tasty adequate meals in a rushed and small bar area.

Champignons! Freshly picked and sauteed in butter and white wine. The rest of the menu was quite good as well, but the mushrooms stand out.

Really nice food and service. Managed to fit us in even though they couldn't take any further bookings for a Sunday lunch after popping in for a drink on the Saturday.
