What a fantastic Gastro Pub! We'd read an article about the food here and decided we'd give it a go. I was especially pleased, they were open for my birthday. What a find, what fabulous food, what lovely service too. This was faultless. The Sunday lunch 3 courses for £40 is brilliant value, especially as the food punches way above this price range. I've been lucky enough to eat in some incredible restaurants, this one is going on my shortlist of favourites💖

We had a wonderful mid-week get away. The food and service at dinner was faultless. The menu was excellent. We stayed the night and the rooms were beautifully appointed. Really comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was very generous with pastries and cooked breakfast. Staff are so kind, friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend this fantastic pub and rooms.

Beautiful and well looked after - nice big tables well spaced so you dont feel like youre rammed elbow to elbow. Food is absolutely delicious - had their squid, then the chateaubriand for 2, and then the stick toffee pud. All were absolutely delicious and served in very very generous portions. Felt, given the quality, it was really good value for money. Service was warm and friendly - and they dont add the service charge to the bill automatically, which is a rarity these days. We will definitely be back to try out more dishes!

One of the best, if not the best, Sunday roasts i have ever had. Great service and amazing food. Would highly recommend eating here, especially on a Sunday. Children's menu is also good value.

We booked a table for lunch today. We were not disappointed lovely food, good service warm and friendly. My cheese souffle was brilliant. Hubbies cod really good. Will be back very soon.

Saturday lunchtime in a beautiful village pub - food top notch, delightful team and service spot on. Coffee hit the spot and was piping hot. Excellent value considering the quality. Thank you for not slapping on the so-called ‘optional’ service charge and for leaving this to the discretion of your customers instead. We’ll come back - and recommend you to others.

We’ve been coming to the Hoddington Arms now for many years. It’s our preferred “dining out” location near home because it’s so consistently exceptional in both food and service. I’ve never had a bad meal in years, in fact I’ve never even had an “average” meal in years - everything I’ve ordered in probably 100ish visits spread across about 10 years has been exceptionally good and presented with equally good service. This place deserves a Michelin star!

Superb dinner for my partners birthday. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent albeit on the pricier side, however this was expected for a Michelin pub. They welcome her with a glass of prosecco at no charge - thank you! Definitely book as the dining area is small and gets busy, great and not too noisy.

Just a good but ordinary village pub masquerading as a restaurant with prices to match. Go there for a quiet drink and you will be disappointed. Staff and mine hostess are not interested in chewing the fat--too busy serving admittedly tasty adequate meals in a rushed and small bar area.

Champignons! Freshly picked and sauteed in butter and white wine. The rest of the menu was quite good as well, but the mushrooms stand out.

Really nice food and service. Managed to fit us in even though they couldn't take any further bookings for a Sunday lunch after popping in for a drink on the Saturday.
