Mountain Biscuits Relocating to Dallas, Georgia | Eater Atlanta

"An East Atlanta Village coffee shop made a brief on-screen appearance on NBC’s Good Girls after posting on Instagram that viewers might see it 'made over' into a hipster coffee shop serving hashbrown omelettes. Followers reacted enthusiastically to the idea, and the shop playfully suggested it might try adding hashbrown omelettes to the menu — possibly at a forthcoming Summerhill outpost expected to open next year." - Beth McKibben

Google
What a slice of heaven I found in this delightful fabric/notions/gift store in Salida. Where do I begin? Fabric. For such a quaint little space, the variety and quality of fabric did not disappoint. An unexpected bonus were the many handmade sewn clothing items -- aprons/hot mitts, children's dresses, aprons, bibs, and clothing. As a sewist, I was so inspired by the creativity, quality, and detail (piping and trim) in the handmade clothing items -- all sewn with love in Salida. Fabric prices were comparable to any established quilt store. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the super friendly staff -- Joy & Victoria -- and the handmade fabric bags I received as part of my fabric purchase.

The Hodgepodge is my favorite fabric store. I love the selection of delicious fabrics and the customer service is spectacular. I purchased a few fabrics for a quilt and before I was finished, realized I didn't buy enough. I called Sandi and she and Joy sent me what I needed. They made an extra trip to the post office for $4.76 in shop sales. A huge thank you for going above and beyond! They always remember me by name when I come to the shop as well as my family's names, and I'm not even a Salida local! See you soon, ladies! 💜

This is mostly consignment of crafts, well made useful items that you may want to get for yourselves or for others. There is a section of fabrics, notions, yarn and panels. 10/24

I came in to get some basic black out curtains, and next thing I know, with the support of Sandy, Joi, and Jody and the quality & unique fabric options, I began a whole cute curtain project AND fell in love with sewing! You cannot beat the support of sewing wizards and their years of wisdom that they openly share with new customers. This is the sewing shop I wish was in every town! Y’all are fantastic and you’ve got a forever customer now :)

Yelp
What a beautiful store they have in Salinas. They have wonderful homemade textiles. I bought a beautiful woven scarf that I can't wait to wear for Christmas. If you get a chance stop in and buy something from them. They even send you home with a cute handmade bag.

Yelp
I stopped in to this store today and what a gem. In the front section are crafts. I found very unique items and they were reasonably priced. In the back was a very nice selection of fabric and quilting notions. I was very pleased to find good quality 100% cotton fabric... starting at 5.50 per yard. They have a decent selection of jelly rolls and layer cakes. I bought some Schmetz needles, Bloody Mary mix and homemade soap. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
This is an amazing little store in the historic district of Salida. Almost everything is locally handmade. Everyone that works there are all creatives that are making things. They truly enjoy what they are doing. You are offered coffee, cookies, tea, water. They are so good about pointing out historic tidbits, handing out maps and just making you feel so welcome. The prices are unbelievably reasonable and they wrap everything in these wonderful cloth shopping bags. It is one block off the main shopping district downtown but well worth turning the corner and discovering this gem....

Yelp
Not only are there treasures to be found at Hodgepodge made by local crafters but the warm welcome that greets you every time you walk thru the door makes one want to come back!

Yelp
Worth checking out all that they have. Joi makes the best aprons and beer shirts, lol.

Yelp
This store is a treasure trove of handmade items that you won't find anywhere else! The people are genuinely friendly and love what they are doing....you will feel so welcome here you'll want to spend hours checking out their huge variety. The store itself feels spacious with light streaming in from the large front window and the skylights that make the area seem even bigger. Since they have moved from the small (tiny!) house they were located previously, they have added a fabric room in the back that will please all of us fabric "addicts" to no end. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of the handmade items is excellent. If you're visiting Salida, make it a must stop in your schedule. You can have lunch across the street at Firefly to complete your day.
