The Woodhaven MI Home Depot had the Blink cameras posted on sale for $199. The cameras would not ring up at the sale price because the sale had ended 2 days prior. The manager would not honor the sales price as posted on the shelf. I asked the manager about the MDARD law, he still refused to honor the price. I had a picture of the price marked on the shelf. I wasn't about to argue, I left the other products at the register and walked out. Home Depot lost my business!

The team at this store is unbelievably disrespectful. When trying to figure out why the delivery was not made today during the selected window. An associate (who stated, with a huge attitude, she just came in for the day ) said they would get a manager to help. This is the second time dealing with the store today, the first time was lengthy as well. I guess they just want you to hang up rather than helping you. As after an hour, no one assisted. Just have the decency to, I don’t know, do your job?

I went in to purchase a new dryer. First, they do not have dryers on display to look at. You have to shop on line in the store. After selecting one, I asked for a new all metal vent. I was very clear that I did not want the vent that looks like it is made from aluminum foil. I asked for delivery, set up and for them to haul away the old dryer. All of which are additional charges. When I checked the receipt they emailed to me, I found the very vent I specifically said that I did not want. I called the store. They canceled the vent but that also cancels installation. I went back to the store. First to get the right vent and see why the installation was canceled. They were unable to add the installation back in without also adding the wrong vent back into the order. I canceled the entire order. I will never go there for an appliance again!

I love going to this Home Depot because of their staff. However today I went to get an item 20 minutes before closing and the older lady with white shoulder length hair reminded me that the store would be closing in 15 minutes. Only for the time to be 9:40pm, not quite 15 minutes. During the quick procedure of grabbing my item and checking out I could help but notice the attitude on this ladies face. I have always been taught treat your last customer like your first, I hope that lady gets the customer service training that she needs.

I bought a new Maytag washer and dryer on January 6, 2025. I am 76 years old. No one said anything to me about copper piping. The delivery man came to my house a week later never said a word about copper pipe. They told me that my hoses that I purchased were too short. They couldn’t install. They left the brand new washer and dryer, in the boxes, in my garage. The next week they showed up at my house earlier than they said they were going to be at my house and I did not hear them. They left. The following week they came to install. This crew told me that they could not hook up to copper pipe for semi. I heard about it. I had to have a plumber come and change to black pipe. The machines were in the boxes, in my garage for 2 1/2 weeks before I had them installed. I finally got to use them. The washer had a horrible smell. The dryer sounded like a freight tree going through my house. I called immediately to the store and told them and they said they couldn’t do anything because it was past 48 hours. The 48 hour rule should never have applied to me because of the situation where these machines were in my garage for 2 1/2 weeks. I have gone through so much with your customer service and your platinum factory service people. It is now April 10 they were supposed to come and repair these machines today. Another day that I had to get up at 6 AM so that I could make sure that I was ready for them to show up at 6:45 or 7 AM. They called at 8 o’clock and said that the parts that we’ve been waiting eight weeks for were damaged so they had to cancel today I have had enough. I am tired of them ramming down my throat that I have to have these machines repaired. I paid $2200 for new machines, I feel like I’m getting refurbished machines. I told this to them the whole time. I’m so unsatisfied with Home Depot and Maytag/whirlpool. I will never shop at Home Depot again. I will never buy a Maytag again and I have bought them my whole life and so did my mother. My bank gave me my money back because I disputed the sale. We’re waiting to hear from Home Depot. Again, I say they are trying to force me To accept repaired merchandise!!!! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. I will call all the television stations next. I do not want to be on television, but I will tell my story to all of them. I have all the dates from January 6 until today, all the phone calls, all those people that I have spoken with, I’ve even called whirlpool and I have gotten no satisfaction for 16 weeks! This whole debacle is unacceptable, unimaginable and unforgivable!!! If I could give zero stars, I would!! Negative stars would be too good for this company , Whirlpool and Platinum Factory Services!!! Oh, by the way, I did have the tech come out, because they made me, and he told me that he would need two men to repair the washing machine and they would have to order an overhaul kit for the dryer. How would you like to hear all of that when you just paid for brand new machines This has been a horrible experience for me in so many ways and so many levels!!!!!

About 3/4 of the plants, shrubs, and trees were fully dead or dying because they had not been properly watered in days. Tens of thousands of inventory lost. The manager of the garden center department should be fired. This was very depressing to see all these wasted specimens. The employees did not seem to care either. I went to Lowes where the whole stock was fresh and was being watered as I pulled in!

Terry from the tool rental helped me with my rental and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. Great employee and great service!

Google
Absolute worst app and in store experience for contractors. Our company has used this HD since 2012. The app is a disaster and glitches constantly. In-store staff appear confused or whole-sale unwilling to complete some transactions. I would rather pay 20% more at MANS lumber or lumber yards than deal with this garbage app and uninformed staff.

Yelp
I mistakenly had my items shipped to this HD. My eyes saw Allen Rd and instantly assumed "Allen Park". I was nervous after seeing the reviews and tried to change my orders location. I was told attempting the change would require a full cancellation and need to reorder. I moved forward with this location and was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by three staffers at the door who directed me to where I needed to go. Upon walking over to customer I was kindly greeted by more staff. I called for my order and two gentlemen assisted by placing my order of two heavy toilets into my crossover vehicle. From what I saw the store was very clean. Though my time in the store was short and I only picked up items, I saw it befitting to highlight my experience which was contrary to the reflection of this store's low stars.

Yelp
I don't like this Home Depot. A lot of staff but not helpful. The staff is also rude. This Home Depot is located at the intersection of West and Allen and it is very busy, not easy access. There are some better home improvement stores in the area.

Yelp
BEWARE PULLING INTO THEIR PARKING LOT. This business does not keep up with cleaning their parking lot even down the curbside pickup lane. Last week I visited this store and had a huge nail completely damage my tire. It's been clear since the incident happened that they were refusing to do anything about it. Not even a reimbursement! I am beyond disappointment with Home Depot. We are cancelling our credit card and taking our business elsewhere.

Yelp
I picked up a large toolbox top and bottom combo. Two very polite young men named Dell and Colleen loaded it in my truck for me. They were very cautious not to scratch the toolbox or my truck. This wasn't an easy task because this toolbox was very heavy. They got it loaded without a problem. I offered them a tip but neither of them would accept it. Very nice experience

Yelp
Ryan I had quite a list of things to get and we found them at our new homebase Home Depot. If a very friendly and helping guide us directionally and we are satisfied for quality vs quantity.

Yelp
Carpet installation nightmare--- Think twice before getting carpet installation... Short version - day of installation we prepared everything for the installers including moving furniture and ensuring carpet was clean. The moment the installers ( Home depot uses contractor CFI ) arrived , you could tell the gentlemen were unhappy with the profession. He tore up call our carpet and refused to haul it away (carpet was on great shape) due to it being dirty. I politely asked why didn't he ask before he tore out all the carpet that he wouldn't be able to haul it away. He immediately became upset and literally left the job with my house tore apart ,carpet rolls in front of the yard and new carpet not installed... We were left like this for over a week. No support from Home Depot corporate down to the local store. For the nightmare we were offered $200... I would not recommend Home Depot for carpet installation.

Yelp
Worst experience ever today. Purchased some deck stain a few days ago no problem. Came in today to get some more. Asked the paint department for assistance and an older woman was rude and condescending towards to me. I asked if any was going to come in stock and if she could look of another store had any. She told me no and refused to look if any other store had this item in stock. She told me if they were out then everyone was out.

Yelp
I was painting a porch today so I stopped into home depot to get some paint and supplies. I tell the paint guy I want a five gallon bucket at a specific color. Okay, no problem he says, I just have to use this premium base paint. Don't worry, it's only $26 more expensive. So I'm picking up some scrapers when he tells me that actually, they don't have any more five gallon buckets of the base paint he recommended so they will have to put them in one gallon buckets. Don't worry, it's only $12 more expensive. So I'm looking at some paint rollers when the paint guy tells me that actually, there's only three gallons left of the base paint. Don't worry, the paint guy says he has already called ahead to some other locations where I can get the other two gallons. Get out of here. If my grandfather was this bad at his job I'd be writing this review in Japanese.

Yelp
Spent 5000 dollars on carpet. They advertised they would tear up and remove existing carpet and pad and also advertised they would move furniture. They didn't do anything like that. My wife and I had to remove 2000 square feet of carpet and pad ourselves and move all the furniture into storage. Long story short we did half the job for them. In addition we had to roll all carpet up into 3 feet sections and tightly secure each one with string in order for them to pick it up at all! In the long run they only offered us a 200 dollar gift card for the headache and nightmare we went through. This place is ludicrous and completely unprofessional. The managers are worthless and don't deserve to have this job!

Michael P.

Yelp
Unprepared and clueless! Makes want to give up my Depot card. The parking lot next door is being resurfaced. Leaving one opening to get in and out of the Depot parking lot. Cars are backed up the length of the lot. Accidents are happening and people are getting extremely angry. I called the store from my place in line to get out, and there is no answer. I don't want to loose my spot so I text a message. They said to call the manager. This is the worst Depot I have ever been to. No plans to address this issue ahead of time.

Yelp
Ordered a Door there in September 2020. The took the money and still no door. Management not help and forget trying to get a hold of corporate as they do not answer also! March 5th out $1000 and HD will do nothing. Shop somewhere else. Once a great company is now dead.

Samantha R.

Yelp
Horrible customer service! Everyone stands around and talks to each other and offers no help! Young kid behind the paint counter was unhelpful and moved at a very slow pace! Will never go back.

Yelp
I NEED A SCREW! I NEED A SCREW! Don't scream that out in the middle of the aisle, it gets you in trouble.. Head on over to the hardware department. This store you have to do that yourself. Nobody around to help. You have to find what you're looking for. This store is slow to respond. You could stand there all night and nobody helps you. They're turning off the lights, must be closing. Found what I was looking for and I was cashing out. They asked me if I found everything I needed, nice time to ask as I am walking out the door. CUSTOMER SERVICE! You need some.

Cassie N.

Yelp
Absolutely ridiculous business. We ordered a window through them, had a guy come out and measure then tell us he'd order it and it would be ready in a few weeks. Heard nothing after 3 weeks so I called. Apparently they cancelled the order bc our gutters were in the way! WHAT?!?!? We told them we were removing them!!! They didn't call us, didn't email, didn't contact us at all, just cancelled!! I have now called 4 times to have the order re done and every time, I get stuck with someone new who's supposed to call me back and doesn't. I will NEVER do business with Home Depot again and I will make sure any and everyone I know hears this. That's terrible business. Home Depot - I'll be sending this along to the BBQ. You don't treat people this way.

Yelp
I'm writing this on behalf of my sister. She had a refrigerator delivered and was left, wrapped in the middle of her kitchen floor. She want to unwrap and put in place herself. After unwrapping and pushing into place the refrigerator did not fit. It was beyond the counter width by at least 7 inches. Home Depot would not take this refrigerator back, she went as far ad she could up the ladder as possible. Needless to say, customer service is everything these days. This incident did not go unnoticed by our family and friends, needless to say Lowes is now our hardware base store!

Yelp
I give this one star because well that's the only option. Let me start with saying we are new to the area and went to our new local Home Depot to begin renovations to our house. Well let's say it's been an adventure. You start to learn whose willing to help you and who doesn't. In the paint department we lucked out with a lovely lady named Julie, she is a wizard at figuring out paint composition. Oh but wait there's more, on one occasion I was sent to Home Depot to find 5 items, I had to ask 5 people for each and not one actually showed me where things were they pointed and directed. So lost, the worst one was when my partner asked someone for a tool that Home Depot carries but he was unsure where it was located. So he asked some very disgruntled employee (redhead) in the carpeting department where the tool was that removes staples from flooring. He stated we don't carry that, my partner was like polite and asked more questions knowing Home Depot's product supplies better than the employee. The employee stated to him, " do you speak English, I said we don't have that." Lucky for him that my partner kept his cool and continue to look for that tool that was right behind the employee. I would say overall my experience with Home Depot has been a horrible one, if you can afford to go elsewhere I would and quick.

Yelp
Just spent 25 min. trying to get simple question answered . When will my washer and Dryer be delivered. Talked to 3 people was hung up on 2 times talked to unlimited recordings. Worst customer service ever!!!!!!. After they get your money they don't CARE. Recomend you go to Sears, Penneys, Lowes, Any where else for your appliances Don't shop Home Depot!!!

Yelp
When purchasing an expensive item as a $2500 Ryobi tractor and paying for delivery and requesting assembly, I honestly expected them to READ and follow the manufacturers assembly instructions, spent over an hour to find out they did not fully assemble or safety test the thing before it was delivered. Took me longer to troubleshoot than if I were to put it together myself, the department manager couldn't even find the assembly instructions and was lost in how to fix the problem. Whatever happened to good old fashioned quality control?

Yelp
I orderedblind for 5 windows and 1 door wall on Oct. 30th. I spent $2200 for nice wood ones. They told me 3 weeks. After 3 weeks they called me and said they were in. I went to go pick them up. When I got there, they only had 4 of them. They looked for an hour and finally figured out that the other 2 were not shipped. I got a call 2.5 weeks later saying that they were in. Got them home and opened them up to find out that both verticals were hinged. Meaning, the long slats that go from the top rod down to the floor could be folded in half 4 times. After some investigation I found out they only come like that so they don't warp. I was not told this, and hated them. There is a small crack at each hinge that lets light in. Called Home Depot, they do not have a return policy on special orders. WT#.......I just spent $2200. I went back to the store and they did help me reorder vinyl. I really wanted wood. They put a rush on the order. 2 weeks later, I got 4 of the short ones in. Had to wait 1 more week for the long verticals. I had to return all 6 before I could get a price difference credit. So I had no blinds for about 2 weeks, waiting for these blinds. Home Depot did give me $50 off the order. Big deal. I recommend spending a little more to go to a blind store. I will never order or recommend Home Depot to anyone doing a special order. I just installed them Dec. 18th. Wow!

Yelp
Ordered carpet on 10.2.17 and install was to occur on 11.2.17 and not enough carpet delivered to site. 2nd batch came and seams heated too much, not cut right and pattern not aligned. Sadly, they want to try a third time. My patience has been tested and will no longer do business with this Company. There has been zero feedback from Home Depot in Woodhaven and this has truly been the worst customer service experience I have ever been a part of. They have monies, service/work not as described and horrible at calling back to finalize this process. Shame on you Home Depot...lost a lifelong customer!

Andre A.

Yelp
Normally I get good service at this location, but something has changed. Either its just poor customer service training, bad employees or worse...... My last experience was just terrible. It was like they didn't want my money, nor did they care if I ever came back, so guess what, I am never going back.

Dana G.

Yelp
Shame on you Home Depot! Our dog has been coming with us into Home Depot since he was 8 weeks old after we learned another dog has been coming in for years--not a service dog, just a wonderfully behaved dog. After 6 and a half months we are now being told he is not allowed. One associate said it was because of the food cart and the FDA would shut it down (really?) and another said that NO dogs, not even service dogs were allowed in (against the law). Our dog is a training therapy dog and has not even once barked in your establishment. Home Depot is also listed as the top place to bring your dog, I would suggest you Google this. I did speak with the manager, he seemed confused about the entire situation and did say service dogs were allowed (obviously). I prompted him to educate his employees. Your employees mostly give wonderful service, and I have never had a single one not stop to pet our incredible dog. Most of your appliance and kitchen department hunt us down to say hi to him. Dogs give an establishment a home, welcoming feel and you just took that away. It has been documented that places who give you a sense of home, patrons spend more and stay longer. You officially made your store cold and uninviting, and no longer somewhere that will make up our Saturday mornings. Once again, shame on you. Luckily there is a Lowes, right around the corner.
