I made reservations for a loved one birthday. We were a party of nine and everything was amazing. The customer service was superb. The drinks are spectacular. You will definitely be feeling good after one drink. The food is flavorful and delicious. We all had something different and everything tasted Insanely good. I highly recommend this place if you live here or if you’re in town visiting, you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t take many photos because we were having such a good time but I managed to get a few.

I when in for brunch, the food was very delicious. We got the mimosa flight it was good but the same time to sweet cuz all the syrup when down to the bottom. The chicken was so good and juicy. The only thing I didnt like is that they didnt tell me that they already had TIP THEM SELF 18% percent. So I didnt know so I tip 20% more. So the waitress took a 38% tip just on my check.

This place was fantastic! I went in around 3:00 pm for a late lunch and the entire staff greeted me upon entering. I was quickly seated and my drink order was taken. This was my first time here and Jose was my server. He was extremely helpful when I asked for suggestions on food and I was sold on the pasta. It did not disappoint one bit. It was exactly what I needed! Flavorful and the portion was huge that I had plenty left over for dinner. He also suggested a new drink that he was adding to the menu and it was delicious. The music selection in the restaurant was fun throwbacks. Personally, I enjoyed the vibe and the energy of the staff. I would definitely (and most likely) visit this place again! Thanks Jose for your help! It was exactly what I needed after a hectic day.

The food and drink were acceptable. I had the chicken and Waffles along with a frozen margarita. The 2 chicken tenders were not over cooked (one of them was a little dry but only part of it) and the spicy/sweet sauce that came with it was a nice compliment. The dish doesn't come with a side of syrup apparently because I had to ask for it. It wasn't a regular syrup. It had a flavor to it. Very tasty! They filled the margarita glass to the brim and the flavor of that was tasty as well. HOWEVER, service and wait time was HORRIBLE! I was there well over 5 minutes before catching anyone eye about sitting down. Then another 5+ minutes before anyone acknowledged that I might want to order something. But that was just an acknowledgement. It still took time to have someone come bring water and take my order. When I finally wanted my check I had to flag down a different staff person to ask if I could please get my check because I'd watched the gentleman who should have brought it walk by me SEVERAL times with and without orders in his hands after I'd asked for my bill. That was UNACCEPTABLE. Yes, it was busy, but I watched the other waitstaff close out table after table. Bringing my bill should not have taken so long. Greeting and taking my order should not have taken SO long. Even though you're busy or may be arranging tables for a large group, it doesn't take that much effort to shout out, " Welcome in! Someone will be with you shortly " That goes a long way. I was there to support a friend who was a poetry group there that day. The atmosphere and clientele were not my vibe, but the decor was nice and many others enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends or colleagues nor will I return.

It was just ok. Waffles definitely were not freshly made. Didn't attempt to order a drink since the food was mid Please don't go here thinking the food gone look like the photos. Oh there was two in my party and he automatically added 18% gratuity. Sucks for him because I'm a big tipper. Try it for yourself but I have high expectations

Honey Drip offers an interesting but ultimately inconsistent experience. The location is not ideal, and the decor choices felt somewhat disjointed. Upon entering, the ambiance aimed for a hip and quirky vibe, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. The glass decorations on the table, which were difficult to clean, detracted from the overall cleanliness and presentation. The service, however, was pleasant. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, with one server engaging us in conversation about promotional ideas for the restaurant. While their effort was appreciated, the overall atmosphere felt like the establishment was trying a bit too hard to be trendy, which may not resonate with all customers. As for the food, it was satisfactory but not remarkable, and the prices seemed higher than justified, particularly for the quality offered. The restaurant seems caught between trying to be an upbeat fusion spot and a more casual, homestyle eatery, which led to a confusing dining experience. However, the mimosas were excellent and were a highlight of the visit. Overall, Honey Drip has potential, but it would benefit from focusing more on its food and less on trying to create a trendy atmosphere. It may be a good option when other places are busy, though it remains to be seen if the concept will resonate with a wider audience over time.

I came on a Sunday evening with my kiddos. I had seen Honey Drizzle marketed on Instagram and my son is a chicken & Waffles lover.. I however am I sucker for pasta! The restaurant was pretty easy to find, however come ready to pay for parking. The decore was cute, but the music was loud! They had a great choice selection of music though. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the prices were a bit high! My pasta with the fried shrimp was really good!! My daughter is a picky eater and rated her lemon pepper wings a 9. My son sadly was not very impressed with the chicken and waffles. He said for the price, he expected more waffle and more chicken and felt like they were more worried about presentation than filling someone’s belly. I did taste the waffle and thought the flavoring was on point. I also got the Blueberry mixed drink, it was good and strong. This was a nice spot to try, don’t know that we will be back.

This was exceptional experience. The music, food, drinks (lemonade, mojito, & even down to the freshness of the water), & aesthetics of the restaurant (definitely IG worthy) created an overtop atmosphere. Literally exceeded my expectations from walking in. All of the staff were so pleasant & welcoming. One of the best places to visit in Houston (hands down) & we will definitely be returning before we leave and anytime we return.

I'm going to try to be as kind as I can because I know this is someone's dream maybe. Unfortunately when we walked in there wa no one there which may have been an indication of the future service. Nevertheless we were greeted and brought water; sad to say that was the best part. The server took our order but I ordered mimosa flight with light flavor because I know it can give me a headache; she didn't know what kind of champagne or sparkling wine they served nor did she attempt to find out. Then said she would have them put less flavor but the drinks came out with a ton of syrup at the bottom. Actually only one person at the table even finished their drink that's how bad they were. Then the food comes out, I ordered shrimp and grits, and the other two people ordered chicken and waffles. My grits were cold, unsalted, and seemed old; we had to keep asking for more water, and she only brought two silverware's for 3 people. I would not recommend at all.

Today was my first time at The Honey Drizzle in Houston, and I came with six friends who were all first-timers, too. We walked straight into what can only be described as pure chaos--apparently one of the cooks and a server had just quit right before we arrived. Even with the meltdown happening behind the scenes, we decided to stay and honor our 12:30 reservation, hoping the experience would be worth it. That's when Trey stepped in as our server. He was clearly stressed and literally doing everything himself, but he hands down was the epitome of customer service. He stayed professional, patient, and somehow managed to make all of us forget the mess we'd walked into. Despite the rocky start, our food came out really good and was presented nicely. We didn't love everything, and a few sides were forgotten, but Trey made sure we weren't charged for what was missed and apologized more than once. Overall, I'm giving The Honey Drizzle 4 stars because of the initial craziness and the hiccups, but Trey deserves the highest award possible for going above and beyond. He found a way to keep us comfortable, fed, and not agitated. That alone made the experience worth it.

We went a year ago!! They needed to improve staff and culinary skills. When arrived for a bridal trip just to have fun & enjoy the scene. We rolled up on this restaurant from searching online. The type was not reached, we couldn't order drinks b/c the liquor stock was out. I ordered salmon and eggs but the eggs were watery. The salmon was a very slinder piece and over cooked. The wings in the back were good but small

Cute place, friendly staff; good food, affordable and downtown. Plus Southern cuisine. What more could you want. Worth popping in and giving a try. Located close to the Chevron building. Not a lot of food options in this part of downtown. It was halfway between where my friend works and I'm at. Came in for lunch during the week. We shared the drizzle sampler and waffle flight with hot honey and garlic honey. We plan to come back and try some of the meals. And trying the fried cabbage side is at the top of my list for the next visit. This time we just split the appetizer samplers for lunch.

The vibe is real cute, very aesthetic for a girls brunch. The customer service needs some work. We were not greeted right away with water or utensils. It was about 15 minutes before they took our order. The WAIT for our food to come was ABSOLUTELY INSANE, we waited an hour 30 minutes!!! Though the flavor of their food is good, the meat and chicken came out pretty dry. Aside from the wait time, I had a pretty decent experience for what it was.

It's located downtown with a few parking spots along the street and a paid lot across from it. I visited to support the local comedy scene on their open pic night. I got a chance to meet the owner and learn more about the place. There were $1 wings and the drinks were reasonable. My overall experience was good and I can see a return visit.

Honey!! Honey...honnnneyyyy!!! PLEASE give this place a try! We were in town for a volleyball tourney and found this place by pure luck and we found hidden treasure. The service is 10/10!! The entire staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. They are just so sweet and make you feel like you have a little piece of home here. The restaurant is decorated so unique and stands out. It's unforgettable and def has a cute wall for a nice photo op. The bathrooms are clean and cute as well. Now for the finale...the FOOD! Everything was mouthwatering. We ordered all over the menu and every dish was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and were stuffed when we left. I can't wait to return here.

Food was OK but felt a bit overpriced costing almost $100 for breakfast for two. Overall was a decent meal but again on the pricey side

The food was decent. Had a chicken sandwich and tried the honey chicken and Mac n cheese egg rolls not sure if it's still on the menu or not. The place was empty on a Friday night we thought they were closed.

18% automatic gratuity on my to-go order! I only noticed it on my receipt. I don't think I will be going back.

I decided to give this place a try and must say that I was disappointed. Not because of customer service, the customer service was excellent. The environment was nice and I enjoyed the music playlist. Now the quality of food is what has the rating so low. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was under the impression that I would be receiving some waffles and chicken wings. Perhaps I should have asked, but I received a waffle that was tough and overcooked. I also received two chicken strips that I must say was seasoned well. But overall this was not worth 20 dollars. I also tried the pancakes and they were very dense and not fluffy. I was warned that the grits were "gritty" but I did enjoy them. I think the final thing that sent me over the top was that as a person that believes in leaving tips, being forced to pay the 18% gratuity at 10:30 in the morning on food that was not good. I did look at the menu and would like to try some of the lunch items, but brunch disappointed me.

My family of 5 had not so happy experience with the food and service. We walked in and was told that there where no eggs, or lamb chops. Mind you we went for brunch. We ordered our food we found out that they had no lemonade nor turkey bacon. Also, the drinks were ordered and never received. We received the salmon bites and they were soggy and not cooked fully. However the wings were good. When the food did arrive the french toast was cold. We decided to just pay for what we ordered and left.

Vibe was great, the dj Mickey Mike was We ordered the mimosa flight & a regular OJ Mimosa to start. Food we ordered French toast, Chicken & waffles, bacon & grits. We finished 4 mimosas before our food came out. I am a sloooow drinker too. The waitress said the reason our food was taking so long was because there was a large party that was here. However, the restaurant was below half full. This is a brunch place, why isn't the kitchen prepared for brunch? The music kept us entertained, but that can only last for so long. We kept seeing people getting their food & eating that came in long after us. Which is unacceptable. There was no apology only continuous blaming the kitchen. We ended up taking our food to go & that was after 1.5hrs of wait, I wish I was exaggerating. The owner offered no apology for anything & I literally had to demand for it to be comped. I had really high hopes walking in here. It was such a fun feeling & I love to try new places. However, I am so disappointed with the kitchen. They have to get it together ASAP or they will continue to fail.

The food was AMAZING! I highly recommend the lamb chops, French toast, and the jerk chicken! The lamb chops were a little sweet and garlicky! Best lamb chops I've ever had! They had no gamey taste to them. The French toast was sweet and delicious! The jerk chicken had so much flavor! It was sweet and the perfect amount of spice!

First time here and i got the San Jacinto Omelette w/ French toast w/ potatoes and my mom got the lamb chop & waffles. The eggs were cheap and tasted powdery , my potatoes were cold , only thing that was decent was the French toast. My mom gave the lamb chops a 6/10 and her waffle was decent. It was 1:00pm on a Sunday and the place was empty (should've took it as a sign) & they had the music so loud we could barely hear each other talking. For the price we paid I'm definitely not satisfied w/ the quality of the food or service and wouldn't recommend anyone eat here. If the quality of the food or prices doesn't change this business will not be here for long.

Food was mediocre at best... service was good; yet slow AF.. DJ was a playlist... Either they're new to the food service business or the in/out of Houston clientele is what's keeping them afloat... Some brunch spots are worth the wait... This one, I'd pass! Will NOT return!

The reviews are not wrong at all. I tried to give this place a fair chance despite all the negative reviews because it is black owned and black-staffed, however, the experience was genuinely just trash. -Very very understaffed. We came on Saturday morning so obviously it's busy but they literally only have 2/3 servers. No hosts so you kinda stand there awkwardly before getting sat. -Server seemed young but for the price of the food you would think you'd get some more energy. -Bar drinks took 25 minutes after ordering, yes i actually timed it. I'm a bartender so I could tell that they were struggling. Drinks were not shaken enough and was room temperature -Food took over 35 minutes to come out. It was not hot, obviously very pretty presentation. -Food was aesthetically beautiful but "mid" is the best way I could describe it for the price. ($15-30 for a single entree) -18% tip gratuity is not mentioned to guests!! -No silverware or any condiments or napkins on table. Everything was plastic or given in plastic cups, not even ramekins. Be careful of accidentally tipping more than you want to. Again, i really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but I just can't fathom spending so much money for a place that could barely compete with waffle house. i am so serious.

I can't explain how good the food is at this restaurant , the service was immaculate there wasn't really a wait time , as soon as i walked in I was greeted and they really made me feel at home . My food came out hot and it wasn't long before I got it that made me really happy overall I will be going back and recommending this to people of Houston Tx

Went to the theater and was looking for a place to eat. Saw this online and figured we would give it a try. The jerk chicken was amazing. Super flavorful. The cabbage was cooked just right. The drizzle shrimp had a nice balance or sweet and spicy. They have only been opened a week. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only thing the need to add is outside signage but besides that excellent. Will definitely be back.

Omg! The food at this place was so good. Service and atmosphere were great as well. We definitely recommend.

Went on Monday for brunch which was the holiday. The waitress was by herself, she did as best as she could. However the bar was bare and they ran out of what we're drinking. The drinks themselves could use a little work. The bathroom was clean and so was the dining area. The food was just okay...

I waited over an hour for a simple waffle. As customers started leaving, they clearly gave us another table's order because our full meal was missing. We ordered turkey bacon and never received it, and the server never bothered to check back. Complete lack of service and organization. Avoid this place at all costs!

WAY OVERPRICED. Ordered the French toast knowing it was $25 and felt overpriced. Also ordered iced tea not knowing how expensive that would be. $5 for made from concentrate iced tea, waitress asked if I'd like a refill and I agreed. Got the bill and was charged $10 for 2 glasses of not so great iced tea. Add in the 18% mandatory gratuity and I was at $45 for a very mediocre breakfast. Will not be back.

Food was good, but drastically overpriced. Service was top-notch, but I I'm always pissed off when the establishment adds 18% gratuity. TIPPING IS MY FU¢KING PREROGATIVE, and I normally tip 20 - 25 %. The milk that I asked for to whiten my coffee was SOUR. The RAP MUSIC was too loud, and not appropriate - - - we heard VERY EXPLICIT lyrics, featuring the words FU@K, PU$$Y, and SU@K MY C@CK, numerous times. There is no nearby free parking, and though this business is located on the ground floor of a parking garage, they do NOT validate, and it cost us $16 for parking. WE WILL NOT RETURN.

The food was amazing ! The people there are so sweet and kind. We did wait 15 minutes to get our drinks, then waited 40 minutes to get our food. There wasn't that many people there either but food was good. They did charge us gratuity and it was just me and my girlfriend.

Got there early one morning as soon as they opened. Staff were super helpful. They helped me pick out my order and the food was AMAZING. DEF RECOMMEND

The food was SOOOOO delicious, I couldn't imagine a better quality of food. I started with the egg rolls, it was HUGE so of course, I split it with my family. It was so good. 10/10. Then me and my family split two trays of the salmon bites, again 10/10. For my entree, I had the waffle platter, my mom had the pancake platter. Both were EXCEPTIONAL. On the side, I had fried potatoes and grits. Potatoes were perfectly seasoned, perfectly fried, and the grits, don't get me started with the grits, the grits were my favorite part of the meal, they were so cheesy and warm, those were the BEST grits I EVER had. 20/10. The service was amazing. Our server, Taylor, was phenomenal, she made sure we had everything we needed. We also got a chance to meet the owner and I was really glad to see that this successful brunch was ran by a black brotha!!! Even the bartenders and other servers were really nice to us and kept the good vibes going. And you know the music was good cause the bartenders were dancing lol. The over all The ambiance of the restaurant was very vibrant and lively. The music was great and the DJ knew exactly what to play.

We waited 45 mins for our mimosas that came out room temperature. Waited 2.5 hours for food that came out subpar. One guest of our party received their food 20 mins before the rest of our party.

We sat for 20 minutes with 5 people in the restaurant. Finally someone took our order, 20 minutes later they come and say they don't have what my wife ordered. Horrible service and communication

the service was a little slow. waffle was every thick and tough. the steak and cheese eggs rolls was not good was not fresh and very salty.

Got chicken sandwich for lunch. $31, thought "what the heck, this might be a mind blower". Got chicken tendies in spicy honey sauce with a tomato and a kraft single on 2 slices of toasted sunbeam bread. Not gonna lie, only going 2 because the proprietor was so damn nice.

This was my first time coming To this place.there was only one waitress who was doing there job right the drinks where disappointing and the food was ok but not the best the service was horrible our waitress was only 17 and like why are you working at this age. The food doesn't look like the picture on instagram we also asked our waitress for the tower drink and he said no we don't have it but then some other waitress came out with the tower make it make sense the food was cold and we were waiting an 1 hour for food.

I want to start out by saying that the waitress Taylor was amazing. She was apologetic, nice and honest with us. Ok, here goes. We didn't even get to try the food. We got there at 12:15pm! The restaurant was full but I called and reserved a table of 7 in advance and they got us right in. We sat there for about 15 mins before we got to order our drinks and food. He didn't get the drinks for another 15 mins after. As we sat there having our conversations, we steadily saw people leaving that hadn't been served food and only one table out of all of the tables in there had food on them. We finally asked the waitress how long it would be. She told us that there were about 4 or 5 tickets ahead of us and this was after we had already been there waiting for an hour. Well, we finally decided that we weren't going to wait any longer after asking Taylor again if they had even started on our food in the back and her telling us they're still working on orders in the back. We left at 2pm and tables that came in before us still didn't have their food. We had high hopes and were hoping that we got to taste the food and now we are driving to the next restaurant still complaining about the wait experience. The owner has to understand this is VA. Houston is a different ball game so they need to staff this one better so customers don't have to experience this. I had to come over and post this review here to after I just posted it on google. That's how disappointing this experience was.

Stay away! The service is poor. We sat down with a party 9 at 12:15pm (reservations) and it took 40 mins before we got a waitress. Once we did get waitress, she brought only 4 menus, she did not bring any cups of ice so we could poor water, no plasticwear. It took another 30 mins before she came back to take our food/drink order. Keep in mind, we still have not received any glasses of water. Another 15 mins went by still no water or our mimosas. We had to stop another waitress to finally get some water/ice. It is now 1:32pm and we still haven't received our mimosas, lemonade or tea. The atmosphere is ok but loud and they only had two waitresses. We finally got up and left..several other guests walked out as well.

Food and service was not good. We arrived at 7:00pm, we were seated immediately, we sat for 30 minutes before our order was taken. It was close in to an hour before half of our food was brought to us. Food was cold, two of our party orders were never brought out. No utensils were provided and we received plastic utensils, drinks were canned & flat. Canned drinks were $5.00. We were not given napkins. Our server was very nice and understanding. Other customers returned their food and walked out because they did not receive their food.

This place is not worth the $$. The grits taste like they are a few days old and are not freshly made daily. Lamb Chops are not cooked properly at 38.00. Cabbage is not seasoned correctly. They are understaffed and over rated. Go elsewhere!

Horrible from start to finish. Not enough servers. Drinks not mixed well. No flavor to them. Food not worth the price. Don't waste your time, energy or money. Black establishments already have a hard time remaining open but this one puts the ice on the cake. Unprofessional to say the least. They won't be open long.

Yeeeeees it was amazing. The pasta is out of this world. The shrimp and grits were amazing as well

Let me start with this: IT IS HOT IN THERE and the staff is overwhelmed. No one greeted us at the door, then once we were seated, we did not receive a cup of ice for the room temperature water for 30 minutes. The waitress was nice and she let us know there would be about a 45 minute wait for food because they "have a lot of people" although there were lots of empty spaces. We had a reservation for 12pm and left at 1:40. At that point we ONLY HAD WATER. (We never received the juice and soda ). Although the water is free the sodas and juice was $5.00 and you do not get free refills. Our table ordered 4 mimosas and the drinks sat at the bar for at least 15 minutes before the waitress got to it and it was served warm. The waitress comped the drinks. At no point did the manager come out and apologize to anyone nor say anything about the wait. When we walked in, the customers that were seated DID NOT have any food nor drinks. Please avoid this place and go elsewhere. I would give .2 star if I could.
