THIS WAS THE NEW ENGLAND CHINESE FOOD WE HAVE BEEN YEARNING FOR! My in laws used to live in MA and haven’t been able to find the same taste anywhere! I’m from Miami and I’ve never had anything like it - the Crab Rangoon, AMAZING Chicken FINGERS covered in duck sauce (completely different from the tenders I know) and Jen the bartender made these to die for scorpion bowls. Then once you’re liquored up- they hired a HOST to help with KARAOKE 🎤🎶 we sung Pokemon and lived our best life. 10/10 recommend - more people need to go here!!! I’m just sorry we inhaled the food and didn’t get to take photos!!!

I brought a couple of buddies from out of town into Boston and took them bar hopping, hoping to end the night here! Instead we were turned away at the door for apparently being too intoxicated despite the light, rational conversation I just had with security. I'm not sure what kind of power trip this guy was on, but we just went next door to the Wild Rover, which also does karaoke AND has HUGE $1 drafts. The staff at this place were going around and giving out VIP cards to bypass the cover for groups of 6 for LIFE. Seems like a much stronger business model to me. I guess that's why some people say things happen for a reason, because had this guy not turned us away, the night just might have been ruined by the longest waits for bar service I have experienced, and their very small, unclean bathrooms.

Google
We were in town for business and found this GEM of a place literally a 2 min walk from our hotel. We went on a Tuesday night for Karaoke and some noodles. We had a wonderful time. The local crowd was amazing and loved singing along during karaoke supporting each singer. The bar staff was attentive and drinks were wonderful! Only critique is a minor one…they need to get a second microphone for duets.

Google
Walked in with full birthday gear on, ready to start our party night, but nobody greeted us, we sat at a table but nothing happened. Then my friend went to ask about karaoke, he said it's right over there there's just no singers (saw no evidence of that). So after a few minutes we left and went next door where the service was phenomenal and friendly.

Google
Good vibes for karaoke nights with pretty good Chinese food. Had been coming here sporadically from Providence and the last time my friends and I showed up we were denied entry due to an ID situation. All of us had our ID’s…so we were confused. The crowd that goes there are primarily white people, we are black. I never had any issue with entry up until that moment. Not sure what their deal is but they’re making entry tighter than fort knocks and this isn’t even an upscale restaurant. We were all well over the age of 21 so that couldn’t have been it either. If you are black and want to enjoy this place just make sure you have the proper identification and prepare to get told no.

Google
HORRIBLE SERVICE!! We went to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the waiters were extremely rude, throwing our beers at us and asking for a bigger tip, even though we had already left a 20% tip. Also, the people around keep shushing us and screaming at us. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. Save yourself a bad experience and DO NOT GO!

Guillaume H.

Google
We came as a team after work, excited for karaoke. Others in our group had already entered and started ordering. I was asked for ID at the door; I presented an official digital ID, then, a couple of minutes later, my passport. Despite that, I was told to leave. I’m well over the legal drinking age, so this felt confusing and unnecessarily hostile. Policies are your right, but clarity and tone matter. Please post clear “physical ID only” signs and train staff to apply rules calmly and consistently. As an international visitor, the experience felt unwelcoming, which is a shame because we were ready to spend the evening here.

caitlin C.

Google
We decided to try this bar out, we are from out of state, and had a HORRIBLE experience. Things started off well but the waitress refused service because we didn’t tip enough (tipped $1 on a $7.50 tab). We had closed several tabs through the night and tipped well and over 30% each time. We will never be back if we return to Boston am hopping people see this to deter them from coming to this establishment as after reading reviews this is a common practice.

Yelp
Was this my favorite spot in all of Boston during my visit? Why yes, yes it was. I live near another famous Hong Kong in Tijuana, Mexico (IYKYK) so when my friends and I saw this same-named spot, we had to stop in even for just a couple of pics. Little did we know it would turn out to be the most fun we would have on our trip!. This dive bar has it all - chinese food, tiki drinks (you can take home the glass!), karaoke, amazing bartenders, and the absolute best vibe. We met so many fun, friendly people and we surprised to find a spot in the heart of a tourist destination that had so many local regulars! I had the Mai Tai, the Scorpion Bowl (shared, of course), and topped it off with an order of fried rice. The food is perfect for a night of drinking and was actually pretty good! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a fun, divey vibe. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again!

Yelp
Went to an after conference party. Karaoke DJ was awesome, environment was fun. Bartenders were good, food was OK
google avatar

Shammy S.

Yelp
The ambiance was really nice, friendly patrons, attentive staff and the kareoke dj until 10pm was amazing. The one afterward was way too loud and disconnected from the patrons. They have pub food, which I'd rate as 3 stars. They messed up my drink order but were quick to remedy it. I'd go back for another fun night of kareoke!

Matthew N.

Yelp
My first time there. I was on Vacation and wanted to do some karaoke. Mind you I was alone. Never really done a solo trip before. Both Bartenders were super nice. Couldn't have asked for better service.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm visiting friends for the Celtics NBA FINALS & I was hungry. My friend took me here. When I pulled up, I was like ewwwww. I'm like, let me give them a chance & there weren't a lot of food options opened. Security checked my ID & when I walked in, I was like, ok, typical bar. They had karaoke night going on & it was packed. I ordered chicken, fries, crab ragoon & this big drink I forgot the name of it. Overall, the food was descent, however, that Scriopion drink was fireeeeee... I ordered 2 & I was fuck up. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because they could wipe down the tables & clean up after ppl left. Eventually, security finally cleans up, but it shouldn't have to take that long to do so.

Yelp
Fun! Went for a Thursday night and it had a good vibe with decent food, drinks and service. Staff was really nice.

Yelp
This place is so fun! It wasn't super busy when we went but it was early (10pm). Why I'm writing this review is purely off of the service. We went to celebrate my cousins 60th birthday and she wanted to relive her days at the Hong Kong. I reached out about a balloon drop and Tedd was so responsive, friendly and so helpful via email. He really made sure the night was special! When we got there, the gentlemen at the door and upstairs were sooooo nice and soooo helpful. Being from the south were pretty friendly and would say they were not just "nice for Boston" but great anywhere - that's a high stamp! They made sure my cousins birthday was executed perfectly, ballon drop was so fun and they really seemed to care and have fun with us! Thank you for creating such a memorable night! Worth every penny for the ballon drop!

Yelp
I have been here many times before and each time its been fun. This time I got to see it for what it is. Its like a real life Cheers. They are a family there, each one with their own personality. It is always fun to sing karaoke, I don't know if they have a limit on what song you can sing cause I've heard everything from Milkshake to Brick House. The food is good, the drinks are made well. What's not to love here?

Emily D.

Yelp
Came here with my friends and we're denied by the extremely rude bouncers saying we were too drunk to get in. We were sober. He claimed to have seen my friend stumble as she got out of our uber. it was an uber XL and she was crawling out of the third row??? pretty sure there is no graceful way to do that. Not to mention it was a literally snow storm out and ice everywhere....obviously it's slippery. Bouncers were beyond rude for no reason. I've heard this a common experience here. Will not be back.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. This place is hilariously amazing. Karaoke? Chicken skewers? Tiki bowl drinks? What more would you need? My absolutely favorite part about this place is the teriyaki girl. She's literally just a woman who walks around the bar carrying a bucket of chicken skewers. You just need to pay her $1 per skewer (cash only) and they're so good too. If that isn't enough of a reason to go, go for the vibes, the fun people, the drunk karaoke, and the shareable tiki bowl. 10/10 please go if you're wanting a fun night out
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE THIS BAR. I've been going to Hong Kong since I've lived in Boston for the past three years and it's always a good time. We went later at night when it was busy and they have a $5 cover. The owner of the bar literally finds you a place to stand and brings a sever over to you in a packed bar. The scorpion bowls are only $18 and I highly recommend to get the chicken on a stick for $1. Even if you come when it's not as busy it's still a good time. Upstairs in the dance floor for another $5 but it's just as good downstairs listening to everyone do karaoke. I've never gotten food here during the day, but it's definitely more of a nighttime crowd.

Yelp
Absolutely a wild time. Chicken Terriyaki, Karaoke, Scorpion Bowls, and one hell of a ride. Love this place and will come back. Haters don't like it because they don't realize how good the Scorpion Bowls are. Enjoy the karaoke and fun ride!

Yelp
Classic MY ONE THOUSANDTH REVIEW!!!! This adventure around the country started in with a classic in my home town called The Beef Barn and come full circle with a review of an establishment that I used to frequent in my college and young professional days. The good old Hong Kong. First my suggestion as a man in his 40's, I would visit this place earlier in the night because during college season this place is packed with drunk kids looking to blow off some steam. This can be overwhelming. If you hit this spot right after work or daily while your visiting Faneuil Hall in Boston, you'll enjoy yourself. This place has tiki food/drink specials everyday for happy hour. Tip: Try the Beef Teriyaki skewers, they are always on sale and they are a signature item. Tip 2: No food item is over 8 dollars Tip 3: You have to try the Scorpion Bowl, take it from an expert, this one is the best. Oh Hong Kong, it's been so long since I visited and I will make sure to visit every time I'm in Boston. Always the Best! Thanks

Yelp
This is a small bar yes it's small and noisy that's to be expected- the negative reviews on that are silly. I had the BEST time here on a Friday night!! The entire staff I encountered was a serious pleasure to meet! The servers, dj, door guys, and owner who walked around with fresh meat skewers for sale. The vibe here was just awesome. I didn't partake in the kabobs but it's a pretty cool set up/ she walked around with an insulated cooler. I sang some T Swift karaoke and enjoyed watching people sing their heart out! When I visit Boston again I will be back here!

Yelp
Dive Bar. Karaoke Tuesday Nights. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Pretty darn full bar. Jello Shots. We were in town on business wanted to sing Karaoke. Went to this place because someone on our crew suggested it. Such a Fun little dive bar. Wish the hot air wasn't blowing straight into the "stage". But hey... it's cold outside. Filthy is a super energetic and talented host/rapper. Made us Hawaiians feel right at home. Bartenders are consistent with drinks. All around fun place to hang out. Thanks!

Yelp
Ratchet dancing, a bunch of drunk ppl singing karaoke, and cheap ass food and drinks... I say this is the perfect place for some drunken debauchery. My friends and I came here (sadly a little too sober lol) and felt a little out of place because everyone was super drunk. So morale of the story: come here absolutely shit faced if you don't wanna miss out on all the fun lol The best part of the night is the free appetizer if you check-in through yelp (PRO TIP)!! Luckily one of my friends is a fellow elite so we were able to try the BBQ popcorn chicken and dumplings for free lol. Were they good? Absolutely not... but they were free & we were tipsy from our two fishbowls so we didn't care haha The only thing we didn't like is it was a bit of a hassle to avail of the yelp offer. My friends and I literally had to track down the manager (which is hard in a crowded place) because the employers at the counter were hesitant to honor the deal, but luckily the manager was really nice and accommodating once we found him!! Overall probably won't come here too often, which is why I give this place 2 stars (but for a place that is known for its ratchetness, maybe that's a good thing??? lol) I would only come here during those nights when we're in the mood for an extra level of ratchetness ha ha ha

Yelp
I have never written a review before but it's time to do it for this amazing establishment that feels like home to me. When it comes to non stop fun and drinks like no where else.. this is year 4 for me. The best scorpion bowls in all of New England. The tastiest chicken with the most delightful rice. The friendliest staff Boston has to offer and the most pure hearted manager you'll ever meet. Every single customer is different and adds their own flare to this all in one restaurant, bar, and club. The vibes are unmatched. I'm talking anywhere in Boston you go you'll never find better. North end, back bay, Fenway, Southie, you name it and this beats it 10X. This small hole in the wall will have you quitting your job in LA to move across America to Boston and probably even rent an apartment across the street from this heaven on earth. Do NOT walk past the yellow sign on Chatham street without trying beef on a stick, a test tube shot of vodka, or a massive scorpion bowl from the best of the best, the one and only... Hong Kong at Faneuil Hall.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Went here for a Bach party. Vibes were great bartenders were fun. The manager was a dick tho. Chicken skewers r good

Yelp
We came in for a drink and stayed for the $1 meat skewers. Late night fun was had by ALL. My boyfriends family has been coming to this place for ages. It was my first time and I can't wait to go back. Ohh and when you too big, they do fun things!

Yelp
Great Karaoke, Cheap Beer. Avoid the food, except for the appetizers whic are OK.

Yelp
BEST PLACE IN BOSTON FOR DRINKS AND KARAOKE! I work at Faneuil Hall and it's so nice to stop by after work. Staff are super friendly and I love the kitschy vibes. The teriyaki sticks and crab rangoons are AMAZING!!!! Affordable prices too among all the other tourist traps in the area.

Siobhan M.

Yelp
My cousins and I wanted a funny night out singing together... theres almost no one in the bar which is actually grand for us. we put our names in for songs, 3rd on the list. 4 people go, we think we gotta be next. then two bar tenders that are supposed to be working are singing for two different songs. We are thinking we have to be next but no they call this guy that walked in no more than 5 minutes ago. We had been there for an hour at this point. We decided to leave after this. Also, a man that worked there was off shift but was very clingy towards our group which is putting it nicely. (the bouncers that were working the door very nice 10/10) Bartenders 6/10 Dj 2/10 Guy off Shift- dont drink where u work will not be coming back
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
A few friends and I came to this bar on a Friday night. There was no line as it was still relatively early. The drinks were OK but the chicken teriyaki sticks were perfect. Music was subpar. Probably would come again if in the area.
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
I love it here. I love Nick and Leona. The staff are great and everyone works hard. I'm happy they are back and they make my day brighter. Plus they make one helluva drink! Go here. Its great! Oh! PLUS KARAOKE!!!!!!!

Yelp
Oh, how to describe a night at Hong Kong? Some of my favorite nights out have taken place at this one of a kind establishment. I think it's impossible to go there and not have fun. I didn't know what to expect the first time I went to Hong Kong. My sister tried explaining that we were going to spend our Friday night at a Chinese restaurant that has karaoke and fish bowls. Needless to say, I was confused, but intrigued. There always seems to be a line out the door to get into Hong Kong, but it moves quickly. There is an adorable woman, who I assume to be the manager, that runs the place like a champion. She moves quickly through the bar making sure that everyone is happy with a drink in their hand. Hong Kong is always full of enthusiastic patrons. The bar is in the middle of the room and there is a stage for karaoke in the back corner. There are plenty of tall tables and chairs for groups to sit and sip on their drinks/enjoy their food. My friends and I are always lucky enough to get a table for our group. It is a lot easier than carrying around the massive Scorpion bowls- which I will explain in a second. The bartenders are extremely friendly! Hong Kong serves something called a Scorpion Bowl that is delicious, but also the reason I always leave the bar very drunk. It is incredibly sweet and you can't taste the copious amounts of alcohol in the bowl. It's great for splitting with a group of friends! They give you 5-7 straws with each Scorpion bowl. The karaoke at Hong Kong is my favorite! It is run efficiently. The DJ has every song that you could ever think of. The sound system is great in that the music is loud enough throughout the whole bar and also drowns out any terrible singing. The whole bar always sings along with every performance. The top floor is an actual nightclub with dancing, but we never go up there because the karaoke party floor is way too much fun. Lastly, the food at this place is pretty great. During karaoke, amidst all the drunk people and singalongs, there are servers walking around with skewers of teriyaki chicken for $1.00. It's the most bizarre thing, but they are delicious! I realize how strange this place must sound from my review, but trust me, it's a great time! I love it so much.

Yelp
Haha writing this review has me laughing and reminiscing about all the great nights I had here :) Stayed at Ames (across the street) and came here 2/3 nights. I'm not a beer drinker so the nights ended HERE after our pub crawls. Maybe it was the abundance of hard liquor (for me) and beer (for my friends) that had us karaoke-ing our lives away. Bohemian Rhapsody. Guns and Roses. Sir Mix -a- lot. You name it -- we sang it! Both nights, we saw the same couple ppl and got to sing with them, too. We were like a karaoke gang! Haha if there's such a thing - hogging the mic and ish! Came here on a Friday after a wedding and what a difference weekdays and weekends are; we weren't able to go inside it was THAT busy :( which I was pretty bummed about cuz I was hoping to sing my birthday away! lol
google avatar

Shatara C.

Yelp
I love this bar!!! I brought my mom for her birthday the other day and we had a blast. They have karaoke, which is my favorite thing to do; upstairs they have a club and a dance floor. They literally sell the best scorpion bowls!!! And the bartenders are not afraid to give you your money's worth of alcohol, winning!!! It is a very small space, so it gets crowded quickly. The waitresses had positive attitudes the day I went, it was so hectic in there I definitely appreciated their patience. I ordered house fried rice and they sell $1 chicken teriyaki sticks that are super yummy. The food was pretty good for a bar. They also had a woman walking around with $2 tooters, which are colorful shots in tubes; they were so strong. This is not and elegant place but if you want to hear good music and have a good time, you should go with a group of friends and turn it up!
google avatar

Jennel N.

Yelp
It is Epic. A spot to know, a spot to say you've been, a spot worth remembering. Before covid this place was happening every night. An after hours dive bar feel, where anything goes. A staple of Boston. Into karaoke, cheap beers and bad food!? Head here!!
google avatar

Lin G.

Yelp
The night called for a stroll down memory lane and some drunken debauchery. Hong Kong, here we come. Wednesday night was packed with an interesting and diverse crowd. A huge group of BU physical therapy students. Birthday queens. Persian chicks who didn't give a fuck (she sang like a dying cat at max decibel), and a few creepy single old dudes with greasy long hair. Beware! Men: shirts must have sleeves. They have a ban list! Imagine the level of shame and ratchet level one has to reach to be listed by name on the Hong Kong Ban List. There's about 80 people on there. I want to know ALL their stories. Scorpion bowls are the way to go. Granted, they're not that strong and very sugary, which gives you bad breath and does nothing to numb your pain from the horrible singing. But it's fun to share! And even more fun to drink out of really long straws and a noodle bowl. Karaoke was interesting. If you plan to sing put in your name immediately because the list is LONG. Wait was an hour or so for me. Otherwise you just have to find amusement from the crowd, which does not disappoint. A bunch of white guys singing songs by black women like TLC and Faith Evans. WTF. Many picked really difficult songs to sing. A few were great! Most were horrible. It made me lose a little faith in the world and feel as if I should take more chances in life. Everyone screams into the mike with their dirty mouth so the microphone is turned down really low and you pretty much have to scream into the dirty mike to be heard. EEWWWWWWWW. My lips touched it and I lost my voice. A small price to do justice to the Little Mermaid.

Yelp
Love the Beef Teriyaki! This place has become a go-to when we want good drinks, and beef teriyaki. The drinks are a bit on the expensive side, however they are good. ALL the staff from security, wait staff, servers, bartenders, etc are great. The atmosphere is fun.

Russell L.

Yelp
The place was way over crowded. Vibe was one of 21 or younger. Not a fun karaoke bar we were looking for.

amanda w.

Yelp
BEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!!! Food, karaoke, vibes, drinks, dancing, cheap cover. Everything is so cheap but of quality. Manager is so nice and welcoming at the door. Highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Hong Kong has its own charm that makes you feel that Boston energy. Whether it's the questionable meat, the karaoke or the scorpion bowls something about the place feels right. Fanueil hall in general is as Boston as one can really get(kinda) and Hong Kong is a good time if you want to just drink and not worry about the stresses of life. Honestly just stop by with some friends and enjoy your night. Life is short and you'll regret not going to these types of places when you've settled down.

Nickie M.

Yelp
This place was great! We didn't eat but the beer was reasonably priced and the karaoke was a ton of fun.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
I love it. Grungey, dark, loud, and full of men watching the Celtics play with more men karaokeing in the back on a Saturday night before Christmas Eve. When you check-in you get a free app. We got the popcorn chicken with spicy peanut sauce. Not very good and the peanut sauce was hoisin sauce with peanuts, but hey it was good to try. Angry orchard was $5.75 a bottle. Meat on a stick for $1.50. And cajun fries for $5.50 that were perfectly fried and seasoned. Someone bought a round for the house. Heard some great throwbacks. Watched the Christmas train on the ceiling go round and round. Perfect location for drunken debauchery indeed.

Maddy F.

Yelp
If you're looking for a lit scene this isn't it. If you like karaoke, this is the place for you. They should really give every guest tomato's to throw at people because some of these performances are awful. The host isn't funny. This is the place for people that peaked in high school.

Yelp
Where do I being? There is an old saying "Strangers are just friends you haven't met" The recipe for a perfect Sunday afternoon... karaoke, scorpion bowls, and awesome people! Mix them all together and you have an instant family of fun! I was showing a friend around Boston and totally forgot how fun this place is! They carded me so it's extra magical ;) Yes, the place does look like a bar Carrie Bradshaw would come to get wasted after a fight with Mr. Big on Sex and the City, however this bar has so much character and a cast of characters you will be entertained!!! This is a no frills bar located on the edge of the tourists traps in Boston. They offer karaoke seven days a week. Yes, I got some liquid courage and sang a ditty or two. By 7:30 pm everyone in the bar was having a giant sing-a-long and dancing away. This place feels more like a family reunion than a regular watering hole. People basically come here for the bowls, however they do have your standard Chinese food. This isn't Nobu or Mr. Chow's, it's better!!!! If you want to a have a great time and meet some amazing people The Hong Kong is your new BFF!!!
google avatar

Ewa T.

Yelp
Fun place on a Saturday night. Crowded and fun people plus they have snacks being served around no wait. Unfortunately one of the waitresses disliked a friend of mine so my party was told it wouldn't be served other than the people they didn't like. This was after paying a fee to get into the door. Service was great until this point. Wouldn't come back bc I'm not sure what the problem was.

Levi K.

Yelp
I tried going here for my 23rd birthday. Had a group of 6 with me but another 20 people planned on meeting me there. The bald bouncer refused to let my out of state RealID in because he thought it was fake. I've never had a problem anywhere else in Boston. He was incredibly rude and kicked my friend out after she tried defending me. I took my entire party next door to Wild Rover instead and had a fantastic time. You're way better off going there, drinks are cheap and the music is great. Don't bother with Hong Kong if you want to be treated with any amount of kindness or decency.

Yelp
So your looking for a fun night out to have some drinks, listen to terrible karaoke, have some chicken on a stick from the teriyaki man or have a bit of a dance, this is your spot! This isn't some sexy elevated club, it's a small dive bar filled with 20-somethings who are totally wasted screaming into a dubbed down microphone. So at least your ears aren't on overdrive. Don't come here if this isn't the atmosphere you want! We loved it and went with a small group. We drank, had some apps at the small bar, sang, went upstairs and danced, and had some chicken on a stick. We did it all. This place is perfect for a night out. Only flaw was the upstairs DJ. The crap he was playing couldn't keep us in the space. We did about an hour but couldn't take his terrible 90s groove music anymore. Get a new DJ and this space would have been our place til close!

Christopher B.

Yelp
Friendly bar staff and cool atmosphere! But... If you are going to enjoy some karaoke with friends, I wouldn't recommend. The karaoke host we had would himself sing with the microphone on full volume. When it was our turn, however, the microphone was turned off completely. We might not be the best singers, but we aren't terrible - and the point is to have fun! We were disappointed when we asked the karaoke host to leave the microphone on and he said it was not turned down, even though we saw him adjust the levels on the audio interface each time our group was handed the microphone. Just not cool! Plenty of other karaoke bars in Boston that deserve your patronage.

Luke H.

Yelp
NO NOT GO HERE. Trust me. Terrible everything. Awful service and house manager enabled it. Please for your sake, DO NOT GO HERE.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Very fun time and the most unique Chinese food places I've ever frequented. The upstairs is where it's happening with a definite club-like atmosphere. It's a hopping spot with loud music and great drinks. It's also a nice addition when they come around selling beef & chicken teriyaki to inebriated patrons who are looking to absorb the alcohol from their potent drinks. It's small and gets very crowded so you have to be into that kind of vibe to enjoy.

Yelp
Fun, fun, fun!! Drinks are reasonable, there's a fun cocktail, open mic karaoke, and a fun crowd. This place is by far posh. But you can leave that snooty attitude at the door, go in and have a good time! I was on vacation traveling alone. One of the few places recommended to see was Fenueil Hall. It was a Wednesday early evening, I walked around and saw the yellow and red awning that screamed "HONG KONG" and decided to check it out. I heard the music and the laughter that drew me in. There seem to be a set of regulars. I walked in and up to the bar and they made a space and even pulled up a chair for me. The bartender was friendly and engaging. Helped me pick out a local craft beer, because I need to be one up on my friends with our variety beer log. As I sat there to observe the energy, the crowd was fun and friendly. They explained to me how the karaoke singing system works. These guys know how to have a good time! There's seemed to be a first come first serve to who gets the mic, the song comes on randomly picked by the karaoke host. And the singers seem to know it and sing. And I think it was fun that everyone sang along! There's a food menu and it all seemed to be a good price for food. Drinks are priced well too. It was that drink that comes in a bowl with fruits and an umbrella that caught my attention, it was big and it looked like it was to be shared. I'm sure I could've had it by myself and thought I was a small town girl living in a lonely world. I did need to take a train back so I limited my drink. This place takes me back to college days, or a bar I would hang out and not have to worry about dress code or breaking the piggy bank. If you want to have fun, sing your heart out and leave feeling a bit tipsy and happy, then you should definitely check this place out!!

Yelp
I came here with a few friends a couple of months ago and it was a pretty cool time. Hong Kong has a very dive-y feel to it. We crammed into a small table in the back (near the 'stage' where the karaoke happens) and browsed the Happy Hour menu (which happens from 5-8PM from Sundays to Fridays). We had a few orders of spicy fries and nachos. The serving portions were fair, given the price! They also have an extensive regular-priced menu which offers everything from lo mein to rice dishes. You can also order beer by the pitcher. The turnout was really good despite the fact that it was in the middle of the week. There was a packed house about an hour and a half in! The atmosphere was lively because everyone was singing along to the songs blaring overhead. It was a little dark in here, so taking pictures/videos was pretty difficult (iPhone 5 squad unite), but that didn't ruin the fun!

Yelp
Terrible. The manager decided he saw my husband and said his behavior was "inappropriate". Who are you to judge? Good luck ass

Yelp
F this place! They DECIDE if you are intoxicated or not. God forbid, you trip on the brick sidewalk, they tell you you're drunk! 100% sober and wouldn't let us in. It's a filthy sh**hole!

Yelp
this is a niche bar for those who pine for kitschy dive bars of yesteryear, particularly tiki bars with pu pu platters. The scorpion bowl is what they're known for and they make a solid no frills scorpion bowl. It ain't freshly squeeze juice and it's gently tossed between two shakers rather than shaken but you're not here for a craft experience, let's be honest. It's not just pure tiki though - they have TVs and a solid selection of beers for people who just want to hang out as well. They're open when everything else is closed on a slow Sunday too which is much appreciated. The only thing missing is indoor smoking and you'll be transported back to the late 20th century. The food menu featured many different appetizers at very reasonable prices. There is a special during off peak hours of 1 scorpion bowl plus pu pu platter for 25 bucks which is a great deal. I ended up ordering the pu pu platter because eff it, I was on vacation. Well, don't. Because it's just a greasy, flavorless mess. The dipping sauce for your deep fried nightmare is essentially thickened sugar syrup. Even the crab Rangoon which is usually savory and umami was just sweet. If I had to say anything positive about the food was that they were generous with it but that doesn't make me want to eat it unfortunately. If I considered the pu pu platters flavor into the rating it would be a 3 or worse but just stick to drinks. They're stupid cheap especially for such a posh location. When everything around you is being gentrified until it's sterile, soulless, and unremarkable, it makes you want to hold on tighter to these type of dive bars.

Yelp
This bar is literally perfect. From the dollar chicken to the free karaoke. Don't get me started on their amazing staff. From amazing people that will greet you when you walk in (Ted and Jill are two people that come in mind) you are just greeted with the smile. Even the bouncers are dope and crazy nice. I remember I was there for 2019 New Years, and there was this crazy nice guy Michael who was just crazy nice. I literally just cannot say enough nice things about this gem. It's literally my favorite bar in the world.
