This shared kitchen space is amazing for local small businesses to kick start their journey into starting and growing their business. They offer a variety of different foods and services. From kids baking classes with My Favorite Cookies, award winning pies Flakey Apple Co, to professional charcuterie board makers and Tik tok famous tacos (tues and Thursdays) from Tacos La Pina. The hood kitchen is such a treasure in Costa Mesa. They are located on Redhill and Bristol and operate 24/7!

Excellent space. We did a corporate team building exercise with HEAT culinary. I would recommend the kitchen as well as HEAT.

Responded to a Instagram post about Puerto Rican food by the name of Savor Up Puerto Rican Delights. My tacos and empanadas were superb. Check them out and get some.

Red Beards is one of the vendors who use this location for production. I ran into them at the oceanside sunrise market. They are selling out in this location and the the others.

Yelp
Got a chance to tour this space today and it is incredible. They have over 150 small businesses licensed to operate in their space, from more permanent clients with dine-in options, to services that exclusively cater off-site. All of the kitchens and offices are available to rent for as short or long as you like, and they also have spaces to host classes and events! Thomas and the team have an incredibly diverse group of restaurants incubating in the space and the food we got to sample was especially delicious. Love the idea of this space making professional kitchens more accessible, and the way they connect with the community as well. Excited to try more of their offerings soon!

Yelp
It has the ghost kitchen concept. They have about 2 or 3 tables outside but that's it for dining. Most of the "restaurants" you order online and pick up or they bring it to your car. I did the Kokonut and a boba tea. Both were great flavors, tastes and so refreshing during the heat. Plenty of parking in the area. It looks like an office building, but once you enter, you have many restaurant stations.

Yelp
We went to their open house and it was wonderful! The appetizers they prepared were delicious and creative! Highly recommend

Yelp
Ordered the Cali Cruisin' Burger. At only $12.95, you get 100% Angus Beef patty, onions and tomato, lettuce, bacon and pepper jack cheese. Ordered mine with regular fries. Drank an Izze - sparkling clementine flavor. I came here with no expectations - and WOW I was blown away by the amazing flavors of this burger! Honestly, the BEST tasting burger I've had in 2020! I would price this burger at $20+ based on the taste and high quality of the product! Will return for sure to try another item on their menu!

Yelp
Kitchen space that's available. There are many appliances and enough space to mass produce food.

Yelp
This business provides commercial kitchen space for food businesses. They are open 24/7 in what I would consider a safe, industrial area. It has an amazing array of kitchens from prep tables to fully equipped spaces. Our group was hosting a fundraiser tea for a local nonprofit. Per the OC Health Inspector, we needed to prepare the food in a commercial kitchen. The Hood worked with us to get the proper documentation since we were not a food business. The price was very reasonable, and the space was excellent.

Yelp
So.... I found this place in costa Mesa on my way to GOOGLE FIBER Its super cute inside and the food was pretty good. I ordered the mahi katsu and the teriyaki beef. I also bought some rice crispy treats that were pretty good as well. The only reason why I didnt give it 4 stars was because the amount of food you get for the price wasnt up to par. There are other Hawaiian food places who give you big food and that's what I was expecting. Anywho. if I'm ever out on the area again I may stop buy!. #imout

Yelp
Unfortunately the staff/ownership could care less about you and your business. It's too bad especially during such a time.

Yelp
I had a very enjoyable corporate team bonding event here. The chefs (I wish I could remember their names ) were extremely hospitable hosts and were very thoughtful and supportive as we did various cooking challenges. Those four hours went by so quickly, I would highly recommend booking this place for work team bonding activities. The kitchen space was very clean and I love that this space exists to support local food startups! Also kudos for being vegan-friendly; while the rest of my company ordered chicken, the chef went out of her way to prepare me a delicious butternut squash dish!

Yelp
The only person who deserves a good rating is the Kitchen Manager Daniel, he was always very helpful & super friendly. All the other staff members, Christie & Shelby, super arrogant & so hard to work with. I couldn't use the kitchen space I rented because a client was still using it, so I asked for a refund, & after many emails back & forth, they deactivated my account. So after making me pay a hefty fee when applying, they just decide to literally steal my money. You trust a business by making payments before receiving the service, they screw up the service, & instead of dealing with it like professionals, they "ban" you. It's actually laughable. Their "event" space, which they call the studio, cannot be separated from kitchen 5. So if you are hosting an event, you have other clients with you in the same room, cooking & prepping with all the noise & scents that come with it. Bottom line, The Hood Kitchen stole my money, when I didn't want to accept that, they deactivated my account. Maybe they'll use the money & attend a class to help them improve their customer service. But probably not, because according to them, they have been in business for 7 years. Like that's what makes a business customer friendly. Arrogant, very greedy & unprofessional. If you can, stay away, if not, be careful to avoid being scammed by The Hood Kitchen.

Yelp
I've been to The Hood Kitchen Space several times now for events and also, to purchase items which some of the businesses who work out of this space sells. This is a spot where aspiring chefs and those who do catering can rent out kitchen space without committing to something on a long term basis. The kitchen is pretty huge and everything is spic and span. Although there is food for sale, don't expect too much because it's not a full-on market and it is not a restaurant. If you're looking to rent space, Shelby and Christie who are the owners are super nice and will be able to guide you towards that decision.

Yelp
Sorry this is a long review but I want to share with you my entire experience to help you decide whether or not move your operation to the Hood or use their other services. We are a cottage food producer based in Irvine(Ashi's Kitchen). As we are scaling, we looked into moving into a commercial kitchen space and we were referred to the Hood by a vendor at Mariner's church farmer's market. There are a very few options in the area so we chose the Hood after talking to the manager Shelby. She gave us a good rate($23 instead of usual $30 for weekends only) and since she said there's no minimum hours, we thought we could try it out. The only catch was, they charged $199 initially. We started our operation on March 30 and after our 3rd experience on April 13 and the subsequent communications with them, we're done and never going back: 1 - On 3/30: We were booked to start baking at 11am on Saturday. Upon arrival 10 minutes prior to our starting time, we found that the time on the board says we're scheduled for 2pm!! and previous bakery was still working. Even though the staff were nice to quickly prepare the kitchen for us and find cooling racks and mixer, the situation and time scheduling seemed mismanaged. We made sure to wipe the floor and all tables we used clean before we left as we were supposed to. 2 - On 4/6: We were booked again to prep at 11am and bake at 12pm. The previous bakers went overtime and since they were rushed out, they did not properly clean up. It smelled of eggs as it seemed something was spilled on the tables. We started a little late again and took a bit of time again to find cooling racks and mixer. The staff again were helpful finding those but with many businesses baking and preparing food at the same time, it seemed that kitchen is heavily understaffed. 3 - Worst experience on 4/13: We were booked to start baking at 11am. Unfortunately the previous bakers were still there and went overtime. They did not have enough time to clean up. We started actual baking at 11:20 when the staff finally brought cooling racks (one tray at a time) and found mixer to bring for us. We usually need 1 hour of baking time. Since there was another reservation right after us, they rushed us but we still managed to wipe clean the floor and tables and we were out at 12:20. We had also booked for a prep station at 12pm. We saw there's a meat produce taking half of the prep station room including ours at 12pm. Obviously there was some mismanagement and we could not use the station as it was being used and cross contamination possibility was 100% in the facility. I'm not sure how health department allows this kind of operation as it is safety hazard. They prepared another station located by the back door entrance(Which did not seem to be a proper prep station and it looked like a storage for unwanted items). After the 3rd experience and even though the managers exactly knew what happened, they sent an email and told us we need to pay extra time!! And also we need to book more time from now on!! I respectfully sent them exactly what happened but unfortunately they try to cover these things up. They claim they looked into the camera footage and there's nothing wrong happened but that does not eliminate the fact that the staff on site constantly apologized us because of the mess. They claim to have served 700 local food producers. With this kind of operation, I highly doubt the quality of the service they provided to the other local businesses. They trick you in with low rates and charge an expensive initial payment so it's hard for you to get out. For our small business quality of the products is of number one importance and with the way Hood treats the businesses, we can never be sure to produce good quality products. I respectfully asked them to refund the $199 but they declined. That's who they are, greedy. They don't want to have enough staff on site in rush hours to properly manage the operation cause they don't want to pay. They pay the staff minimum wage even though they should be heavily experienced and have special skills to manage the day to day operation. They are greedy because they schedule times back to back they don't care to properly clean the area. They just rush people in and out of the kitchen. Lastly, I want to thank the staff on site Daniel who was really nice and helpful and he deserved one star. The rest of the operation including Karen and Shelby deserve 0 stars.

Yelp
Amazing hidden gem, especially for foodies. They have a great assortment of craft foods, ie. sauces, bread puddings, cookies, chocolates, drinks, etc. For lunch they have gourmet sandwiches with salad and chips. Probably the only place around that has a fried chicken sandwich that's tasty and surprisingly healthy - just ate one and don't feel sluggish or guilty at all. It's not a sit down restaurant so be prepared to take your order to go, but there's plenty of things to look at while you wait for your food.

Yelp
Nothing but good things to say about this place. Me and my partner rented out storage and kitchen times to prep food for the UVSA food festival. It was our first time doing it and the hood provided us with equipment to satisfy all our cooking needs. They were so accommodating to our hours ans taught us how to use things such as the meat slicer that I've never used before. Safe to say we wouldn't have had a successful first attempt at being a vendor at the festival without these guys. Will definitely be back for future events!

Yelp
This is hands down the cleanest shared commercial kitchen in Orange County. I highly recommend this place for food producers or events! They rent by the hour and have reasonable prices. They also offer plenty of storage!

Yelp
I had no idea this place was here, but I saw on Facebook they were opening a grab and go style restaurant featuring local produce and products. Im a fatty, so I got the fried chicken sandwich and man....it was freaking yummy in the tummy...I'm not shitting you, try it! They also have all kinds of cool drinks and chips and what not. Ill be back for more because I know Im getting a quality product on my lunch break instead of paying the same price at stale ass Subway.

Yelp
The atmosphere at The Hood Kitchen is spectacular. Walking in the space is inviting and then when the smile of Emily Duke and others greet you, It's an automatic friendship which you know would last forever...especially when it's surrounded by great food that feeds the mind body and soul.

Yelp
We share the same building with these lovely people, and in the short time they have been around, they have been a great help to us. I work and workout at Innovative Results, and when I am not monkeying around in there, I am enjoying the BOMB food from The Hood's market and from The Hood's amazing chefs!! They are a great spot if you are looking for extra storage and cooking space, as well if you are looking for a spot to video your amazing culinary talents!! Thank you for connecting some great culinary masters for Innovative Results Grand Opening, it went off!!! HUGE SUCCESS!!! P.S. Emily is a joy to work with and talk to.

Yelp
I've been working out of The Hood Kitchen for a few months now. It has been such a blessing for my business. Shelby, Christie and Karen are fabulous to work with, as is their crew. David, Daniel and Carmen are always there when you need them. The kitchen is clean and extremely well run. If you are looking for a space to rent, I highly recommend checking out The Hood Kitchen Space.

Yelp
The Hood MRKT opened today and since I work down the street, I decided to check it out. I had previously met the owners Shelby and Christie when I inquired and toured their professional kitchen space for rent. These ladies are great, very nice and professional. Upon entering The Hood MRKT you see the fabulous selection of locally sourced honey, jams, rubs and delicious samples of complimentary chocolate and cookies that I of course had to try. Both were delicious! I was cheerfully greeted by the very nice and knowledgeable gal at the counter. I ordered the mustard and beer braised Zeigler's spicy Italian sausage sandwich. I wish I could rave about it, but sadly I cannot. The sandwich was very small (about the size of a Subway 1/2 sandwich). Nothing is included with the sandwich, no fries, no chips, no drink, and at a cost of $9.00, it's not a good value in my opinion. I could've possibly justified it if it was the best sausage sandwich I had ever tasted, but not even close. The sausage was mushy and too hot for my liking. I was also expecting roasted red onions and bell peppers as it said on their menu, however, they were pickled not roasted. I won't be back for another artisan sandwich, but I will return to try more MRKT goodies and of course those delicious cookies!

Yelp
Best place for small companies, private chefs, and specialty chefs to operate. Also great for well established restaurants to train and experiment. Best equipment. Sweetest ladies in the land run the place.
