The Pepita milk ice cream needs to come back it was the best! The pea protein isn’t a clean vegan option and hurts the stomach - I heard there are several people complaining! I have been supporting the hop since 1993! Please bring the other options back- I send most of my students who are children and their families to you. Several of them have dairy allergies- the new formula tastes good but tastes artificial -I do not have a an allergy to peanuts or pea protein either. Not sure what the ingredients are - can list them?

Hands down the BEST vegan ice cream we’ve ever had! And it wasn’t just vanilla like most places offer, they had about 9 different flavors just in their vegan section to choose from. Everything down to the maple walnuts and whipped cream (also vegan) was absolutely amazing. Lots of locally sourced ingredients, too! Service was also top notch!! Andrew was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed passionate about their products despite being the only one there while customers just kept rolling in. Had the Fudge Brownie CBD, Cookie Butter (great suggestion, btw!) and Mint Royale.

The ice cream is second to none. Many vegan options. Most of the servers are both fun and professional. We enjoy The Hop experience. I loved The Hop back when it was in the small deco building on Merrimon. I miss the kooky creatures that were featured on the mural inside the drive thru of the old location.

Used to love coming here. The ice cream is indeed delicious, however, I'm not sure it is one person specifically cutting the portions or if that's the new standard, but they are charging full price for a scoop the size of a damn golf ball. Three bites and you're done. It seems to be the same guy that always is so stingy with the ice cream. I told him I didn't order a kiddie scoop and he said that was a normal size. No it's not! Been going here for yearsss

Nice folks, lots of options(vegan too), kid friendly, owners do lots in the community. Lucky to have such a nice neighborhood ice cream shop.

We absolutely enjoy their milkshakes, however we got an ice cream “cake” for a birthday and were severely disappointed. There was absolutely no cake, just a thin layer of crust. It was a round of ice cream covered in frosting that tasted too strongly of coloring. We paid extra for decorations, and based off the images on their website I was expecting a lot more.

this is not the traditional fun ice cream shop to bring the kids to that we were hoping for, it felt much more like a vegan, hippie, flower power, agenda pushing business that has non-traditional ice cream.

I love the Hop. I always recommend it to people looking for ice cream in Asheville. Always great service and great ice cream choices. Not expensive either.
