Everything was great! I really enjoyed it! The bagel wrapped kosher sausage was crispy and the sausage was flavorful. The bacon egg and cheese on onion garlic was crispy. The bacon was real well done but not bad. Tricky location to spot as it has a low profile and does not have a lot of parking.

What can I say about a bagel shop that smells like heaven every time you walk in? The Hot Bagel on North Shepherd is exactly that kind of place.The staff is incredibly friendly, always greeting you with a warm smile and making sure you're well taken care of. The bagels are consistently fresh, with a delightful mix of a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior. Their cream cheeses are exquisitely delicious, offering a variety of flavors that perfectly complement their bagels.Don't overlook their kolaches or bagel dogs; these treats are equally delicious and showcase the same level of quality and care in their preparation.However, if you're planning to stay in and enjoy your picks, I'd suggest bringing a sweater as it can be a bit chilly inside.

I had been to this place a couple of times and today would be my third visit since I had such a great experience before. I ordered a cheese dog bagel, a breakfast sausage bagel and a Salmon sandwich/bagel. The regular bagels bread was cold, stiff, and there was no flavor in the bread, it was bland, the eggs in the breakfast sausage bagel tasted bland too, and just overall unsatisfying. Here’s where things took a turn for the Worst….my salmon in the salmon bagel was ROTTEN, it smelled too fishy as in it had been out for awhile, or just passed it’s edible date, and the color on many areas was GREY. If I had not opened my sandwich before eating it, I’d probably be poisoned right now 🤮 I was halfway home so I didn’t want to turn back around in Houston traffic, I was hungry too! Looking at an article about this shop on Google made sense to me, seems that the original owner passed away this Year in January….Rest his Soul, THAT explains ALOT. I really enjoyed this shop , idk if it’s slacking, if it’s the staff today, or the new management is such NOT taking care of the quality and safety of the food they are serving ..it’s just WRONG to sell a customer unsanitary food that can harm them. There was too much cream cheeses added to the sandwich, creating this messy clumpy texture & the capers in the sandwich appeared shriveled and old too, who keeps such old food and why? To cut costs?! Pure laziness….YEAH, the standard has lowered, and I will not be returning

Nice little bagel shop in a great area. Was hungry for breakfast/lunch-ish and drove by this place. They close at 2pm and sell out of the most popular items, so go early! The loaded breakfast bagel is quite a mouthful and delicious! It’s a clean place, not very big. Parking out front of building is free.

I was really looking forward to trying out this bagel spot in Houston after seeing all the good reviews. I ordered a couple of bagels from Uber Eats—one plain with blueberry cream cheese and another everything bagel with chive cream cheese. Both were pretty disappointing. The bagels were dry, and they didn’t skimp on the cream cheese—that's for sure. It felt like they dumped the entire tub on there. It was so messy that I ended up scraping most of it off. Seriously, who wants that much cream cheese? And the chive cream cheese was weird too. It was chunky and just didn’t blend right. Overall, not a fan. Definitely won’t be ordering from there again.

Vibe- This was my first time at this bagel shop and it was PACKED! I can see it’s a popular bagel shop in Houston. There’s some seating available inside and there’s two tables outside. Customer service- Good. Food/drinks- I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut spread: it was yummy! Parking- Honestly the parking was stressful, it’s a very tight space. If possible, I would park somewhere and walk over.

The food came out fast and just look at the amount of cream cheese and lox! I’ve been to other shops where I hardly get a couple slices, but this sandwich was so satisfying

The Hot Bagel Shop is one of my longtime Houston favorites. Love the bagels and assortment of cream cheeses. My favorite is cinnamon raisin; today I tried the homemade cinnamon cream cheese. One word - 😋! I’ve not had the kolaches, pizza, breakfast and lunch sandwiches but they look delicious! I’ll have to try those next time. Compared to a popular bagel chain, these folks are welcoming, efficient and so kind. There’s always a line but it goes fast. If bagels are your thing, give them a try!
