"Nancy Silverton hasn’t opened a new restaurant since 2013 when she debuted Chi Spacca in the former pizza school space on the corner of Melrose and Highland in Mid-Wilshire. Now she’s ready to open the Barish, coming from her maternal grandmother’s name and taking inspiration from the family’s farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. Opening this Wednesday inside the former Public Kitchen space, the Barish will serve a truncated menu on the hotel’s outdoor areas until indoor dining is allowed again." - Matthew Kang

Amazing hotel! Lovely welcome gift of the Maple Doughnut waiting in the room and personalized post card. Rooms had great view and lots of room. Lounge staff friendly and attentive. Front desk staff very accommodating and friendly.

A very nice grand old hotel, unfortunately the part of Regina it’s in is starting to become very rundown looking. Without secure parking, I kind of felt my car was in jeopardy. my room is nice, well appointed, very spacious. The only issue with the room was at the bathroom was through the bedroom, and my children were staying on the pullout couch. Every time to use the washroom it woke me up. The food is at the hotel. The menu is limited. There are a lot of options nearby though. Overall, quite nice place.

The Hotel Saskatchewan is exquisite in every way and the staff and service is exceptional. I enjoyed an afternoon on October 31st visiting with special friends and Jody in the lounge was professional and definitely added to our memorable experience. Every staff we encountered showed class and the great values of Saskatchewan people and humor too as we brought along an unexpected Halloween guest..who seemed to bring smiles and extra laughter to the day. Thank you from Jude..Chris..Darcy and Bonnie the skeleton.

Great hotel - Great hotel staff - Good Food - BUT THE SPA IS AN ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF and ruined our 10th anniversary experience at the property. The hotel property is beautiful, great location and the views from the upper floors are good, if you’re facing the downtown side. The food was good but a limited menu, as one of their signature restaurants wasn’t operating while we were there. The front desk staff and the other staff were very hospitable and always ready to happily assist. However our spa experience was extremely distasteful. The spa receptionist was extremely rude and we were compelled to email a complaint to one of the managers for her unprofessional conduct. My wife was assigned a masseuse who just applied oil to her with no massage whatsoever and ended the session more than 15 minutes before the booking time. The masseuse assigned to me was also not trained but at least made an effort towards the massage, even though my session was also ended 10 minutes before time. The person at the reception ruined our overall experience at the hotel. The person was extremely rude when we addressed the concerns of our sessions not lasting for the time we paid for, and we were literally forced to accept the imposed apology, which was bizarre. Thankfully, I maintained the printed receipt for future references, as they did not even email me the receipt later. It is a third party spa, and definitely does not match the standards of an Autograph Collection Hotel property. With this brand of hospitality one seeks quality in every bit of the service availed with no compromises. Our 10th anniversary celebrations were eclipsed due to our bitter experience at the spa. We received an email that the manager has forwarded the complaint to the dealing hand of the spa, but we’re not sure if that has changed the substandard quality of the services that we paid for.

This hotel shows its age is a bad way. Tiny rooms Walls are paper thin and can hear everything happening in the rooms beside you Bathrooms are small and shower stall was dirty with super cheap plastic shower head which didn’t work properly. No bath tub either Bedding was only a sheet with a crappy duvet in it They charge you to park your car in a sketchy parking lot Not worth the price. Next time we go to Regina definitely going to stay in a newer hotel

Google
A wonderful old world hotel with beautiful touches. The service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend it again. I would just suggest they recarpet and refurbish the elevators. It is such a gorgeous building, but the elevators are quite tired, stained and faded. To redo the elevators could help bring them in line with the rest of the building.

I booked two rooms in Regina for our family stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The double Queen room, where my husband and I stayed, was not clean. The floor carpet had many stains and it didn’t look as though it had been vacuumed recently. The whole room felt grubby. The linens had black specks between the sheets (? Not sure?). The pillows smelled of old man head and further inspection showed the pillows were stained under the pillowcases. I opened a bottle of red wine, and had to wash the wine glasses as one had lipstick on the rim. I could only stomach a sip. The $35 bottle of red was that bad. It had turned so I assume it may have been previously opened. There was no other bottle in the room but I was charged $35 x2 for a white and red bottles. The best part of the stay was breakfast in the restaurant, which was decent and the service was great. The lounge service, the evening before, was meh. After looking over the bill, I hasld to call for clarification of some of the strange charges. Overall, it was a disappointing stay :(

Google
Arrived with my confirmation number and was told "there's been a mistake" and they oversold the hotel. They offered me free drink coupons for the lounge as consolation. I refused and then was told they had a room for me at the Marriott Courtyard down the street. When I went to leave to the new hotel I was asked to wait while they confirmed the other hotel. That took another 30 minutes. Another couple was in the same situation as me and was rebooked at the Courtyard and when they went to check in at the Courtyard at the same time as me they tried to charge them for the hotel and parking. Was told I would have a room at Hotel Saskatchewan tomorrow. I'll see if that actually happens.

Yelp
Just decided to splurge and have our Christmas lunch at the Sask buffet. Us 4 best friends get together and this Christmas lunch was going to be a treat. We we're so disappointed I can't even give a rating. 2salads Rolled Turkey mashed potato pirogies roasted vegetables. Not a choice of dessert just sticky pudding this was good. The Sask used to be such a great buffet we were so excited to have this return post Covid This was what they call a buffet! The waitress was apologetic but not her fault. They should not even bother it was even a sad excuse for turkey dinner

Yelp
The Edmonton Elks football team stayed here before our game in Saskatchewan, and couldn't be happier with our time there. We arrived early, but the rooms were ready for us, and we were also able to use the ballroom to do some group mobility after the plane ride. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the meeting rooms were set up well. Thank you especially to Jaki Minett and Leah Tang to adapting to our group's changing needs with patience and kindness - it can't be easy to manage a group of 80, but they made it all run so smoothly! We all felt very welcome and are looking forward to our next stay.

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel in Regina. It is beyond a doubt the nicest hotel in This town. It is now run by the Marriott as part of their "autograph" collection. The rooms are very well appointed and the rooms have been renovated. However they maintain the old world charm that this hotel needs to be different. One very strange thing is the commode. It is a commercial grade commode, and it just looks strange in a hotel room. The bathroom itself is very small. I suppose this is an artifact of former times. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I had dinner and a couple glasses of wine at the bar one night. The service was very friendly. For a hotel the food was very good. As with most hotel restaurants, it was a little pricey. The bottom line is this is a very nice hotel in Regina. When I am in town, this is where I will stay.

Yelp
The Hotel Saskatchewan Royal suite exceeded our expectations. This was the perfect place for our 30th anniversary. The suite would also be a perfect setting for a small reception. The staff was professional and friendly.

Yelp
Came in on a Thursday night during a Roughrider away game and it was fairly quiet. It's a very nice spot for private drinks and delicious cheesecake. Desserts from Circa27 are all $9. I tried the Sour Cherry Cheesecake which was delicious and a strong 4.5/5. Only wish it was slightly larger. I ordered light drinks since it's summer - the Manhattan was good, their Moscow Mule was refreshing with a very light ginger beer. I had to tell the bartender how to make a Broken Down Golf Cart, which she made to perfection. Highly recommend this spot as a nice date-night upgrade. Lots of secluded tables with comfortable and interesting velour chairs surrounded by a series of curious artwork of rabbits around the room. Dessert and 3 cocktails came to $60 after tax and before tip.

Yelp
This place is my home away from home when I fly to Regina for work. The duvet style bed cover and fresh down pillows that can be sculpted into the perfect sleepy shape make for pretty solid sleep. Despite the age of the hotel, are facilities are modern and updated save the gravity mail slot that HAS to be seen. Each room has modern climate control and variable, 2 head showers with a detachable head. The bar crew (I only drink ginger ale... ask them) are refined hosts that get to know their client and make you feel like you're at home. So many staff have gone the extra mile, from the bell hop, to various floor staff and cleaning staff and leadership - all are totally, 100% customer focused. Of special note - They have some incredible FRESH potato chips that are just delicious. My only gripe - breakfast doesn't start early enough given the fact not many other places are open elsewhere.

Yelp
I reserved a deluxe suite on a high floor with a bathtub specifically. (Shower/bath combination). I received an email the day before I arrived saying I could check in early confirming my check in time for 3 p.m. I arrived at the hotel at 4 p.m. to be told my room on the high floor was not cleaned yet but they had the same room on the 3rd floor. The manager,Poorva, came to tell me and apologize about the high floor. I said that was fine as long as it was the same room with a tub. Poorva said the deluxe suite does not have a bathtub- none of the deluxe suites do and there is not a room available with a bathtub. I specifically wanted a bathtub and told Poorva I was very disappointed and why does their website say this room has a bath tub. She didn't think it did so I pulled up the web page where is says the deluxe suite has a shower/tub combination. She said that was an error on their part. That's fine but although I suggested they should do something for me since this was their mistake - all I got was sorries. Nothing else / no comped night, no free drink or breakfast - nothing at all. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I am seriously disappointed in the web page and the service dealing with it. I expect better. Anyone who really wants a tub better not rely on their site. You will have to take extra time to phone the hotel and find out which rooms actually have bathtubs.

Gregory M.

Yelp
Ive been coming here for over 30 years. the last two visits over the last year has been a bit disappointing with the hot tub and steam-room closed for months and no reason other than cost. The coffee shop in the lobby is not open today and the rooms are getting old. Needs a proactive approach to getting customer.

Eric M.

Yelp
I get it. You're a historical hotel and you don't need to be ADA or disability access compliant -- if you don't do stairs well then avoid this place like its harboring the plague. It's quaint and has nice rooms but the hallway on the sixth floor reeks of deep fried foods, which usually means the kitchen is directly adjacent to an elevator. There are no commercial-free television stations. There is an over priced restaurant so put your walking shoes on and find some good, affordable food nearby. It wasn't bad but there are many more option or bang for your buck in this city.

Mike L.

Yelp
A huge buffet, esp desserts, and sweets, crepes, waffles, whip cream, fruits, pies, cakes, puddings, pastrys oh yeah breakfast items as well as seafood and red meats, veggie and gluten free options, soup and on and on Takes dedication to walk by the salad bar but I did it

Harry P.

Yelp
Really comfortable room clean hotel and friendly staff the only thing I run into in hotels like this is the front desk staff friendly helpful but they are so judgmental I know I'm not a Bissness man and I don't do the suits and tie but I do work for a living and I always we manners yes please no thank you... the restaurant is way overpriced but all of them in the area are .

Joe D.

Yelp
A nice high-end hotel, with nice clean rooms. BUT... A limited food menu, no closets, no laundry service, and very small bathrooms. Service in the bar was great, tho.

Paul S.

Yelp
6th year and last year for Christmas day supper buffet. Half the the hot food was cold, the selection was half of years past. Where they placed the food made for some bad congestion especially if using a walker are other aid. All this and you increased the prices by over 15 dollars a person. My suggestion, bring back the previous managers, and go back to Raddison. It was better quality, better thinking. P.s. why can nobody but front desk answer a phone after noon time?

JR H.

Yelp
This hotel was amazing! This is a very high end place. Being that I've stayed in many many high end places previously, I was somewhat thrown back at the quality and present-ability that I encountered here. I walked in the door and immediately felt like a hobo while only being dressed in jeans and a polo shirt. My only relief was the other obviously US native that was wearing a hawaiian patterned shirt. Everybody in the building was wearing business casual and up. The service was quite quick, enjoyable, and extremely professional on all occurances. The breakfast was great in the King's Lounge and the restaurant alike. An old fashioned barbershop, shoe shine station, and other regal shops were located in the building as well. The Hotel Sask is greatly accommodating, centrally located, and I would absolutely recommend it to anybody traveling to Regina for any reason.

Jason D.

Yelp
Been here twice now on business (during the dead of winter I might add) and I have nothing but great things to say about SK in general, but this hotel in particular. Checking in has never been a problem, and the rooms are decently modern and quite stocked full of the little things that business travellers certainly appreciate (i.e. electrical plugs near the bed, power bar strapped to the desk, and a working IRON and IRONING BOARD). The lobby also serves food and drinks late and is a great place to socialize with other guests all in a beautiful, grand, Victorian-style decor. It even has an old Royal Mail Canada chute near the elevators. PRO TIP: If you're in a hurry for breakfast before heading out to your day of meetings, etc., consider eating in the bar area instead of in the dining room. The menu is the same but the service is quicker because there always appear to be less guests at the bar so early in the morning (unless it was a rough one the night before). PRO TIP #2: If you're having trouble hailing a cab to get to your client site, they have a courtesy van that is able to drive you (within reason) to your destination. It's usually available but gets booked up closer to 9 am. Overall, there are worse places to stay in Regina and I'm pleased with the service I've gotten thus far. Consider this hotel if your next visit has you in and around downtown Regina.

Yelp
Amazing staff, old world charm, wicked food and a seriously must try hotel if you are staying in Regina!

Phillip S.

Yelp
Think of this place as your Royal York of Toronto, but in REGINA. What I most admired about this place was the location since it was central to everything. Just across the street 1-5 minute walk you can pass through rows of restaurants, bars, their central park, and further down to their downtown mall. Built back in 1927, Hotel Sask! has architectural character from its exterior appearance to its luxurious interior capped off with a red carpet and door service. Its service is exceptional and the hotel staff are always kind and attentive to any requests. Their rooms are clean, but not as spacious as hotel rooms are made nowadays! but nonetheless plenty of space for me! What I liked most was the security swip you had to use in order to access your floor which was great! Their workout facilities was excellent, with updated gym equipment, whirpool, steam room, sauna, and locker room with showers!!(I was in paradise) lol.. In terms of food, I found their warm breakfast buffet which included the continental was a bit of a rip off! warm food options were minimal ($20) hmmm? Aside from that our stay was quite nice! and interesting since Prince Edward (Prince Charles youngest Brother) was staying with us, and we were able to get a few photos of him...not with him...

Matt M.

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 days recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel has an old world charm with a classy lobby bar that seems to always be playing jazz. Nice. The bar serves kinda standard pub food but all pretty tasty. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. There is a spa inside it which is pretty handy. They do a great breakfast buffet with loads of fruit. Would gladly go back again. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star review is because the place was freezing all the time. Seriously. I know it may sound silly but everyone of us had to wack up the heat and were freezing in the bar and dinning room. It was kinda hilarious. Shouldn't stop you from booking in then. It's a great place.

Tyson B.

Yelp
Refused to help us with a Hotwire booking when we had to cancel a trip due to family in the hospital. Wasn't really expecting any better from a multinational corporate chain and they really lived up to expectations. Also the place has zero character left after the renovations a couple of years ago.

Alicia H.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed this hotel! The staff is very courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast they serve in the morning is great! Parking is a little tight for a long bed truck and you have to fold the mirrors in, but at $10/day it is pretty good priced for the location. They have a limo/car to take you all over the city as well.

Dorothy R.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Great front desk staff. Lovely room. Excellent service. Friendly employees.

Crystal W.

Yelp
What a beautiful, classy hotel. Earlier this week, I stayed on the 6th floor and ended up with a corner suite. I heard virtually no noise from anyone or anything. It made for a very peaceful, relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable and I was thrilled with the massive walk-in closet. The only downside to the room was the tiny bathroom. I couldn't get enough of the strawberry water in the lobby and I used the gigantic gym every day. Seriously, this gym felt like a club and I've never seen one such a size in any other hotel. It's within the perfect walking distance from banks, coffee and retail shops. I did eat the hotel food because I attended a conference during my stay. I can't say that anything stood out as stellar but I certainly had no complaints. I took advantage of the in-house coffee shop for espresso beverages, which did the trick. One improvement that could be made would be with the hotel entrances. I had a seriously heavy suitcase and had to drag it up a few flights of stairs. Some wheelchair accessibility would have really helped with this. Or a big, strong bellboy.

Ann-Marie U.

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Circa 27. Not only did they (Jodi) treat us like gold (great food) but he brought us complimentary cheese cake and candle. A wonderful place to celebrate with friends. Great service and super menu. Ann-Marie

Janet S.

Yelp
Amazing hotel that brings you back to old world charm and service. The Sunday brunch is amazing. Salmon three ways, made to order omelets, soups, fruits, vegetables, carved meats, and an amazing offering of pastries and sweets. LOVE this hotel

Derek H.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place when I travel to Regina for work. The staff demonstrates true Canadian hospitality. I'd definitely consider this hotel first and my trips to Regina.

Raphaël L.

Yelp
Relative to what's available in Regina... This is by far the best hotel in town. The restaurant is good but the real gem for me is the café, Koko, in the lobby.

Jeff M.

Yelp
the top hotel in regina. with the catch that it's also the most expensive (or was when i was in 'gina). it has a older grande feeling to it, but has been renovated and modernized for the upscale market. the lounge i found to be a little too stuffy and 'open'. the restaurant there, which i can't recall the name of is quite nice inside and the food is excellent, but also pricey. parking i was a little disappointed to find was $10 a night.
