First bartender got us drinks, was great. But then said she was leaving and she'd like to close the bill at 5PM. We did, not a problem. Then we continued having drinks, the second bartender gave us a bill, and the bill was the same amount.
There was obviously a mix up, but the second bartender gave us so much attitude and made us feel like it was our fault, that we just paid in full. There was some overlap mistake they did on their end so we probably paid twice for a couple of rounds, but there was no way we could prove it.
Why? Because...
He even knew that there as a mistake and reduced it, but it was not ITEMIZED. The bill we had just had one total on it. The original said $80, everything under it was blank, just a bunch of dashes, then he came back and reduced it to $60, everything under it was still blank. When we inquired, he said that he "personally served those drinks," which was total BS. At that point we didn't care because it wasn't worth creating a scene, but we knew we were being had. That was a lot of attitude from a bartender when he couldn't have just printed us an itemized bill.
If you go here, pay per round, or pay with cash, but don't start a tab and transfer it to the next bartender. It's a loop hole. Especially when they change shifts around 5PM.
