The best Greek restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The Hummus Factory went from food truck to restaurant in 2016. Owner Tony Tabet serves chicken kabobs with a bed of onions and zucchini, lamb gyros, hummus sliders, eggplant dishes such as crispy eggplant fries, falafel and more. Even shawarma makes an appearance in the sliders. Vegetarians can try the stuffed grape leaves or the falafel plate. Frarej, a chicken dish baked with potatoes and tomatoes, as well as kafta and kibbi also make the cut." - Susan Stapleton

My wife and I realized that we had not thought to stop here in quite a while and so we stopped for lunch today and we were immediately reminded why we like the food here so much. I like the chicken kabob wrap and my wife typically gets the chicken bowl. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is consistently good. We will definitely have to keep the Hummus Factory on our regular list of places to visit for lunch and dinner. A photo of the chicken bowl shows just how appetizing it looks.

Google
My expectations and all I got was a bunch of rice and carrots with 3 pieces of chicken. This is false advertising

Google
Small Mediterranean/Mexican place with a short fresh menu of Greek/Lebanese/Mexican dishes. We went for a late lunch so it was pretty empty, but it had seating for over 70 and separate kids tables. The Appetiser Combo was almost a meal for 2 on its own, the Gyro (beef) was excellent as were the kebabs (chicken & beef). All sorts of sides topped of a great lunch. 4 Mexican beers available, didn’t see any wine choices though. Too far from home for me to go regularly but if you are in Downey (LA) area you can get a really good meal at cheap eats prices.

Google
Got the chicken kabob plate and it came with rice, salad, peta bread and the chicken. To be honest it was okay. My favorite part from the entire meal was the hummus. Not sure if it was underwhelming because it was almost closing time but it wasn’t what I expected.

Google
Hummus factory, you should stick to hummus ONLY. I decided to do something nice for my brother that’s in the hospital not far away from this location and I regret it. I’m not complaining bout the price, price itself is reasonable if we are talking about the portions on the plates but like any other restaurants, taste is more important and that’s where they lack. Hummus was good and so was the salad as it was fresh. I ordered two protein plates that came with chicken and beef. My chicken was over cooked and dried and absolutely no salt in it. It was so bland, you could only taste what it seemed to me cinnamon and maybe coriander but no SALT to it. Did I say it was dry? Because it left me wanting to drink water . Plain water has more taste than this plate. Rice was cooked ok but also missing seasoning. The beef was somewhat well cooked. I should have known this place would be a bad idea the minute I realized they also serve a small menu of Mexican food. You absolutely can’t combine two different styles of dishes in one place unless you actually know how to do it well. Another clue I should’ve known, it was dinner time and it only had two customers eating. I’m very surprised and disappointed this place gave me bland food to go considering they have several locations like in Mahattan Beach and for that reason I blame not necessarily the restaurant but management who’s in charge of training the cooks to cook good food. I’m sure this isn’t how the food is supposed to taste. For me to take the time to write a review and tell people to skip this spot says a lot about what I was giving to eat. My total was around $45.00 dollars this evening and all I enjoyed was the salad and hummus on a plate they have name as the “protein plate”.

Google
today i went to the hummus factory with my wife - in Downey location. we got the chicken plate. and honestly the quality of the food was very high. excellent standard. the balance of the flavor is excellent. the flavor of the chicken is amazing. the presentation of my plate was super decent 👌👌. i have been in different Mediterranean food services but this place is one of the best places to enjoy the Mediterranean Cousine. we had a very nice moment. and the guys are very kind. everything was very fresh and super delicious. Thank you guys.

Google
I checked this place out for the first time today and I decided to order the chicken kebab wrap. I waited 15 minutes for my food and when it was finally ready it was literally ice cold, as if someone took it out of the refrigerator, and just placed it in a bag. After notifying the woman at the register she told me they can “warm it up for me” that’s when I requested that it be remade completely since it wasn’t made correctly in the first place. She told me it would be another 15 minutes … 3 minutes later she hands me another wrap that is warm to the touch, i inspect it before I leave and notice it’s the most sloppily made wrap I’ve ever seen, the lettuce was hot, the pita was soggy and falling apart, and it was clear that they simply warmed up my wrap instead of making it the correct way. I 100% will not be visiting this restaurant again. Terrible experience. They’re also extremely overpriced and the chicken was bland and over cooked

Google
A fav place of mine to go other than Green Olive. Here you get more chicken and portions plus the garlic paste doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg extra. It’s complimentary. I always order the Chicken Kabob plate. Their side salad is delicious. That dressing they use is so good. It’s always fav of mine to go to. Parking is the only issue. Sometimes it can take a min to find parking and the lanes are narrow.

Yelp
Delicious meal here. We had the gyro bowl, the chicken bowl, and the chicken kabob plate. If you're not starving, I highly suggest sharing the chicken kabob plate! I also enjoyed the little surprise that was the fried Pita shell that accompanied the bowls! It reminds me of a tostada salad, and I LOVE IT!! We must've come in right after the lunch rush, I expect because there was no one in, so the wait for our food wasn't long at all. Place was clean and lots of seating for big and small groups! Just a note, parking can be a bit tricky on busier days/weekends, so just keep an eye out for that!

Yelp
First time here and it was great! Wanted to give kudos to Silen who took our order and even checked in as we were eating how we were doing. She was so friendly and warm. She recommended the chicken kabob plate and it was such a great deal for the amount of chicken you get. Everything is cooked to order so your food is fresh and hot. Takes about 15-20 minutes so be aware! Great options and easy parking in the back. Silen's wonderful customer service really was the cherry on top.

Yelp
It was my first time coming here and Marvin was more then helpful. Not only did he go over the menu but he also brought a separate plate for my daughter for us to put her food In & checked on us various times(: the food was so so delicious and definitely worth it. Overall customer service was great, food was amazing and the ambience was also great too. There's many little shops when leaving as well. If you're reading this Marvin, thank you again (:

Yelp
New to the area, and was in search of a Mediterranean place, and after being influenced by the reviews and somewhat decent pictures I placed an order. I had only had breakfast, so I was eager to eat! At first glance, the food did not look as appetizing as it did on the webpage, but looks can be deceiving so in I went for the first bite, and alas! it was game over! I ordered the Lula kabob plate, my son ordered the beef shawarma, and my friend ordered the chicken kabobs. The Lula kabobs looked like minced hot dogs and texturewise it was tough! I couldn't even cut through it with a fork! Flavor wise ,It was insipid. The rice seemed to be just plain old steamed rice, flavorless as well. The hummus and garlic butter were probably scooped from a Costco size jar! So disappointed! The chicken was drier than the Sahara desert, flavorless as well, and my son whose birthday meal wish was to try shawarma was utterly disgusted and disappointed. For the price point, and the raving reviews, my expectation bar was set pretty high. I was pretty disappointed and upset that I spent a pretty penny on a meal that left more to be desired. My mama always warned me to be weary of restaurants that carry the word "factory" in them. Should have listened!

Yelp
Right by the Downey commercial district next to Southgate where we had to visit our priest. Straightforward Mediterranean fare. With a Hispanic inspired menu option (burritos, etc). Salad tastes clean and fresh, service is friendly. Could do with a bigger lunch crowd since the place is huge. So go. Support your local eateries.

Edwin N.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the service outstanding! I recommend the chicken kabob plate. Huge portion, very health for the soul and delicious!
google avatar

Gab R.

Yelp
The food was way overpriced especially for how much flavor it lacked. Almost $30 for a plate. Would not recommend or go back again.

Yelp
Great professional and cordial service. Freshly made. And delicious. A perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Yelp
My friend and I ate here this evening. To be honest our intent was to grab some sushi but as we walked by The Hummus Factory a complete stranger said that the food is of the charts, especially their combo meat plate. I truly believe it's a testament of the quality and taste of the food for someone to feel compelled to make a word of mouth recommendation like that. When there is a large graphic on the window that says "BIG PORTIONS, GREAT PRICE" you better live up to that claim. The Hummus Factory did not disappoint. I had the three meat combo plate with beef shawarma, beef gyro and chicken kabob. I'd highly recommend it. If I wasn't just visiting for the weekend, I'd eat here more often.
google avatar

Eric A.

Yelp
The food was very bland. We ordered the protein kabob combo, grape leaves, and Greek salad. The chicken kabob and Lula kabob were very dry and bland. The beef shawarma kabob had some flavor but was also dry. The grape leaves (aka Greek dolmades) had a weird tangy tasting sauce soaked into them that was not good. The tzatziki sauce was very watered down, which is sad because I paid extra for the sauce. The pita bread tasted like it came from a bag and was not toasted. The salad and hummus were OK. I would not waste your time and money coming here.

Yelp
Idk how I feel about this place. I want to like it, but dang. Literally the only saving factor is the customer service. The lady at the register was super sweet in dealing with me and my gift card. Parking - SUCKS when rush meal times. BIG YIKES. Food - very forgettable and bland. I got the Falafel plate with brown rice and there was barely any flavor in anything, even the falafel! Very sad. The hummus didn't have any saving grace and the pita bread was cold and flat. Pretty disappointed with the food. Idk if it's because I got brown rice, or if the maybe the chicken/beef was way better and I should've gotten that instead, but idk. I wanted to like it, but just couldn't get myself to finish the meal. Also, price. $18 for a pretty bland Falafel plate is too steep.

Yelp
The sign on the front door said it all... Great portions at a great price. And the food was fire. Dude at the cashier was hella cool, awesome service. More people need to be in here.
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
Went to try it on my lunch break and it didnt dissapoint. Loved the chicken with the hummus and rice. Will definately be coming back

Bronco L.

Yelp
Hence they open at 11am. I went in at 11:06 am and the cashier told me that they are closed. I told her that it's 11am and she told me that they cooks are too busy. That is the weirdest interaction I ever had at a restaurant. She definitely needs to be spoken to by management. What an odd way to speak to a customer

Alma F.

Yelp
The friendly service, when undecided they recommend. Food was perfect temp, portions awesome, flavor was great! I would recommend this restaurant for a great healthy meal! Thumbs up for me!

Yelp
This place is conveniently located in a small plaza that has plenty of parking which is always a plus in Southern California. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The place seem clean, organized, and well kept. It was my first time here and when I saw two different menus from two different places, the cashier explained that it was two restaurants in one: Mexican and Mediterranean. How cool! I choose from the mediterranean menu and purchased a "Chicken Kabob Plate." It was DELICIOUS. It was a very large portion but since I was hungry, I had no problem chowing down on a fresh and tasty meal. The plate comes with chicken, salad, hummus, rice (choice of white or brown) and this white cream that had a nice flavor to it. All of the flavors blended beautifully. The rice was a teeny tiny bit dry but definitely not a deal breaker. The service was amazing! The cashier was friendly, helpful and attentive. She dropped off pita bread and utensils before my order came out and she came to check on me in the middle of my meal to ask if I needed anything. I noticed she speaks English and Spanish so that is a plus for Spanish speaking people. This place is also family friendly. In the center of the dining area, you will find tiny tables and chairs for any toddlers and young children to sit in which I thought was very cute. Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Lindsey H.

Yelp
The food is extremely bland. If you're looking for that Mediterranean savory taste, do not come here. The chicken is really dry, and the food has zero flavor.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
Paying almost $20 for super burnt chicken is crazy. It was over cooked and dry. I usually come here and love the food, but this time it was ridiculous. It was not even busy so I don't get how they messed up so bad.
google avatar

Paulo blanco ..

Yelp
It's kinda hard to make a decision on what is best choice between Mexican food or hummus and pita
google avatar

Judy C.

Yelp
This is my go to place for lunch at work , today 11/12/23 busy day at work and the team and I ordered $80 worth of food . Unfortunately , it was not good like normal week days . Not sure who was in charge of the food today but was very disappointing to receive blocks of rice and the chicken was cold. My manager got the shawarma plate and it was the same
google avatar

Yelp
Silene came by to deliver our office order. She was very kind and attentive. Arrived on time and prepared. The food is delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Yelp
One day f the best beef swarma places I've ever had. In my top 3 if not my number 1. Had to come back for a second one. Either fries or salad. Can't go wrong with any of their sauces either. Service was really really good and nice

Yelp
Mediterranean cravings!!!! Made a quick stop for lunch. Been on a pita wrap craze. My route took me in this area today. Based on other reviews, it looked promising. So I gave it a try. I didn't know which wrap to get so I asked the cashier which one she recommended. She said the chicken. She was right! Bomb! The place is clean, huge (if dine in was allowed), and in a good location with good parking. Even though I came here for the wrap, the fries deserve an award! They were the perfect texture, size and color. Easy salt made me enjoy them more because some places just over salt their fries and that's a big no in my book. Back to the wrap. Chicken was soft and succulent and flavorful. The sauce they use was amazing. Pita wrap was superb! Only downside was not enough chicken lol I need that protein lol it was only $11 which in my opinion was well worth it for a quick lunch stop. I'm not looking to get full or get a full course meal. Just give me a good lunch and impress me with service and I'll come back if I'm in the area. And I definitely will! Service was 10/10 because the young lady was polite. And that's a big + in my opinion. Thank you for the good experience =)

Yelp
PROS: + Delicious food and great service!! + Chicken kebab plate comes with rice, hummus, pita bread, and salad. I definitely want to come back to try other items on their menu. + Lots of parking (located right across the street from Porto's) CONS: - My friend ordered the baklava, and it was the tiniest portion! I wish it was served bigger considering the cost. - It's a bit pricy, but I think it's worth the money.

Yelp
2/5/2021...my brother, buddies and I just played golf over at Rio Hondo and had Hummus Factory bookmarked for lunch. We got there at 1055am and waited in the front for them to open at 1100am. Right at 1100am one of the staff member comes over and puts a note up in the front of the door saying "We Open at 1145 Sorry" (see picture). Epic fail. We dropped $60 at the Mexican restaurant next door.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I don't like the parking lot of this place. They should really remodel it cause the asphalt is a mess. I found this place years ago through a Groupon deal. The food use to be good and decently priced here before the pandemic and I would visit maybe once a month. After the pandemic I made my last and final visit. I was shocked at how the prices had jumped and the portion sizes were smaller too. The chicken kabob was TINY and the salad that came with it was so disappointing. I remember feeling extremely ripped off. The food always takes long to come out, so call in to order or be prepared to wait more than 15 minutes if it's during the lunch rush.

Yelp
Came in here to try this hummus factory that I had seen before. Never been here before, so I did not know what to expect. The cashier, was super nice. And super helpful. We ordered the Gyro with fries. That's a wrap with meat. They come fully loaded. Lots of meat. We also got the chicken kebab plate which came with rice, salad, and hummus. Excellent. We also got a side of hummus. The cost is seven dollars for hummus but it is a good portion. It's worth it. Very tasty. Service here was excellent. The restaurant is clean and tidy. And the music is soft in the background. We will definitely be back here again when we are in the mood for hummus, etc. Thanks for the good eats...

Yelp
Very yummyyy!!! Big portion. Place was literally empty so I was a little skeptical but didn't regret it. I left satisfied.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
I love good food, and this spot has it. I have always been loyal to the Green Olive on Lakewood and Gallatin but this spot is real good and the portions are large enough for sharing. (Not that I did). I do enjoy the green sauce at GReen Olive which The Hummus doesn't have. Grapes leaves are yummy and the variety of hummus is awesome.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Nice people but this could have been so much better. 2 sandwiches and a side salad and hummus was $43 and it just was not great. Mediterranean food is very special but it has to be seasoned correctly and this was not. To be fair the hummus was decent. Get that and a side of rice with some bread and call it a day.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Can't wait to go to this place direct. I happened to try their garlic hummus and chips through AZ Market to Door. Sooo! good, I just wish they also offered their pitas! Nothing like a warm pita to go with hummus. The chips were really good too, I just prefer pita. The garlic hummus is truly for garlic lovers and the texture is spot on. My new go to hummus.
google avatar

Miguel M.

Yelp
So far so good!! I has ordered a couple times - the chicken and meat flavored are so good, hummus the best! Naan are serve warm. They served with a generous portions. Recommend it for Mediterranean lovers!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Amazing and yummy food ! Love the customer service here ! It is my second time here and will be returning !

Yelp
So we found a Groupon for the Hummus Factory and decided to try it out! The place is located in a cute shopping center and the staff are super friendly and nice! I ordered the falafel wrap with a side of hummus and he ordered the beef plate. Beef plate has a LOT of food! He really liked it and it filled him up. I honestly really loved the hummus and it tasted authentic and healthy. The falafels were also really delicious (I've had some not so good ones in the past) so def recommend the falafels and hummus here! Pricing was also very fair! We ordered the $20 Groupon voucher for $14 :-) FYI: It's split into 2 -$10 vouchers that you have to use separately IG for more reviews: Hungryhungryrach

Yelp
I've eaten at this establishment before. It was 5 star. 1. The service isn't like before the staff seemed miserable. The plates where not as well presented. The chicken seemed chewed. My daughter got sick after eating here and had to be taking to the emergency room. 45 mins after ingesting food. Also gave bad stomach pain to adults.
google avatar

Ahmad R.

Yelp
Food was delicious! The salad has fresh veggies. Crunchy lettuce, crispy tomato red tomato, juicy cucumber, and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the dressing was the right Mediterranean dressing!. The side of hummus is a must if you getting a salad to fill you up. Everything was delicious. Not to mention the place is very clean, and the customer service was to remember! Beautiful people and very courteous always anticipating your needs. I'm happy I came. Thank you :)
google avatar

Alan K.

Yelp
I was disappointed at my chicken kebab dish. I was expecting an authentic Mediterranean kebab dish, but instead got fillers. If you want fake Mediterranean food, you can come here, but it's not particularly great. There are plenty of surrounding restaurants which serve authentic Mediterranean dishes at the same price point.
google avatar

Jailene S.

Yelp
Soooo good, pretty consistent on flavor && the garlic sauce is delicious mixed with their sriracha. Wow! Last time I ordered a chicken kabob plate & it was scrumptious.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
04/11/2021 I got the chicken kebab plate with regular hummus and salad. The chicken is well marinated and cooked just right. The humus had a good flavor and wasn't too garlicky, just right. The rice was plain white rice. I felt like it needed a little flavoring to tie the whole plate together.

NaTasha W.

Yelp
Everything was so good Angeles I can't wait to go back. Customer service was great as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Deliciousa on a sabato! Wow, now I admit I'm a Green Olive fan in Downey, and I decided to give this place a try & I am so glad that I did. This tops it. This is gonna be my new go-to. When we came in on Saturday after day before day lights savings it's almost as it was nuts- packed! I ordered: 2 chicken kabob plates with white rice 2 beef kabob plates with white rice = $60.50. It's expensive but it's worth it. Healthy, fresh, large portions and lots of meat !!!! Lots of parking. Made fresh :) what a goos tasting dinner! The hummus was a large portion and salad was delicious & thick tomato pieces. The dressing is so good- sweet tangy taste. Friendly service.
google avatar

Khem B.

Yelp
Great food-big portion sizes! Flavor of their meats delicious!! Appetizers samples was the first time, I have seen something like that size and variety of flavor combinations sauces. Love it all!! Atmosphere was friendly and inviting, amazing customer services, lady had so many recommendation. It was on point!
google avatar

Albert C.

Yelp
This place is better than several neighboring Mediterranean restaurants (ie. The Olive, which is bad). Good hummus, evenly dressed salad, long grained white rice, and well seasoned chicken kabob plate for $13-14. However, the chicken was a bit crunchy in a rubbery sense. It wasn't pink, so perhaps it's overcooked. Some pieces were fine, but others were crunchier. If they can improve this, I'd give them 5 stars. All items come with 2 colors of pita. And the garlic butter was actually pretty light and delicious. I usually don't like garlic butter at all. Overall, the food here feels refreshing and quality, just the chicken was oddly crunchy.
google avatar

Rena S.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp. Food was o.k. Not great and not terrible. Portions were very small. The chicken was a tad on the dry side. Pay attention to your receipt!. We ordered a small lentil soup and was charged for both the small and large both. When I looked at my receipt and brought it to the attention on the associate he refunded my money and said he had to re charge me. When he did, it rang up both again. He said it was a glitch in the new computer system. Sorry bud but that isn't my issue. We ended up having to not get the soup because he couldn't figure out how to charge me for just the small one. How many other people have gotten double charged??
google avatar

Helen M.

Yelp
Very good food and customer service . Big portion. Reasonably price. They also have Mexican food and salsa bar.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
Went to this place on a whim, and was happy to have found it. Food was very good, and portions were descent amd at a fair price. I had the gyro bowl which was very good, and also ordered the Mediterranean hummus which was their hummus with olives and feta on top, delicious.

Yelp
Five stars for the girl behind the counter taking our order. She was soo helpful and friendly and went out of her way for us. Thank you!!! The first time I went to HF -when it was new- i wasn't impressed by their hummus at all. And i never went back. But my husband has been pushing for us to go here when i want mediterranean, so i caved this time and we went. Unfortunately...yeah the hummus just is not good. I dont know what it is about it, but i was raised on The Green Olive's hummus and Marketplace and I just do not like this one. It has like a pickle flavor if that makes sense, but it DOESNT make sense for hummus to taste like pickles!! The beef was full of flavor if a little overcooked, and Ive had their chicken before which was fantastic. Good portion sizes and if you dont want salad they'll give you more rice which is always nice!! HF also offers mexican food and my husband got the nachos - he loved them and there was enough for two meals. He'll probably come back, but i'm just not feelin it. Sorry, HF.
