This has been on our "to do list" for a while, but you know... Covid. As we were out running some fall errands, we happened to be on Western when the majority stated that they were hungry, the majority being the 5 year old and the hubby.
It was Sunday, around 11 am, so brunch or lunch would be perfect. I remembered that Hutch was on this stretch of road and a way we went.
Remembering that this is in Nichols, I was a bit concerned that we were not properly dressed; we were in various combinations of t-shirts and jeans. I was relieved to see that the casual crowd was mixed in with those in more formal/church attire.
We were quickly seated and given menus. True to the name, the dining area is cozy and warm, dotted with rabbit themed art throughout, like so many hidden Easter Eggs.
The service was quick to bring out coffee and water. We took a minute and ordered the following:
Kids Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, Half Belgian Waffle, Side of Fruit & Bacon. My daughter enjoyed this and ate/tried every bit.
Eggs Benedict: Mixed Greens, Hollandaise, English Muffin, & Breakfast Potatoes with choice of meat or mushrooms; I selected the Smoked Salmon. The presentation was pretty impressive; the size was odd. It was basically a half order, which made the plate a bit pricey at $18.00. Maybe the "English Muffin" was too literal, as it was one half of the muffin. It was still filling, but just odd.
Omelet: Smoked Gouda Pimento Cheese, Bacon, Breakfast Potatoes, Arugula. It looked pretty and was enjoyed.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal. I would likely order something else next time and would like to have drinks here soon. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Somewhat family friendly.
