"At last, the Strip’s staple ice rink returns for the 2024 winter season. The Boulevard Pool rooftop hosts all ages and levels of skaters. New to the deck this year is the Coca-Cola Holiday Village, an igloo that offers soda floats and photo ops, along with the rinkside Ski Lodge Waffle hut pouring cocktails overseen by Superfrico’s executive of beverage, Nico Novick. The Chalet will serve bites and beverages set against a rotating schedule of Christmas films." - Jen Avison Smith

cleaning the rink from snow took forever!!! when you charge 30$ entry you may want to consider a more speedy process. It was really annoying standing there for 30 minutes and watching incompenent few people work with minature tools.

As a Canadian, there's nothing quite like sitting by an outdoor skating rink on a sunny Vegas rooftop in a t-shirt, sipping on some drinks in the middle of December. It's free to enter and explore the area. Some sections are by paid reservations only. You get a great view of the strip, the setup of the chalet and bar are quite nice. Very family friendly on the ice during the daytime. If you're not bringing kids, it's much better to chill on the sidelines (with or without the heat lamp on) with your hot chocolate or snacks than trying find some space on the ice for 30$ skate rentals. The only downside if you do choose to skate is that the rink isn't large, so it'll get crowded pretty quick.

I love that you can ice skate on the strip on a rooftop with a great view AND it snows! Just another thing to love about the Cosmopolitan and Las Vegas! And what a way to get you into the Christmas spirit! The rink is so much fun and they also have skate aids that are pretty cool that look like dolphins if you want to push your child around or if you need them to help you skate for a minute. I let my best friend push me around for a minute! Was so much fun! They also have a few cute spots where you can sit around a fire pit and order cocktails that are themed and different delicious food items! Including s’mores! I tried the Jack Frost cocktail it was so good and delicious! All of the people there were very helpful and treated us nicely. Shoutout to bartender Chad! Very cool photo op spots as well! Decorated nicely for the season! Overall this was such an amazing, unforgettable, and fun time! Can’t wait to go back again!

Nice outdoor view in the winter of Vegas. But ice quality is terrible with too many people during holidays. Super crowded with barely any room to spin and jump in the afternoon, cannot even move forward in the evening.

The ice rink is located on the fourth floor of the Boulevard Tower. The pool is turned into an ice skating rink from November before Thanksgiving until January after a few days of the new year. The rink is the size of the pool ,so it's not as big as other ice skating rink. The cost is $20 for all day and $10 for locals and hotel guests. You may bring your own skates. There's snow scheduled to drop starting at 7 pm. We did not get to see the snow, because we were not there at the right time. There's fire pits that you can reserve. The location of the the ice rink is great for viewing the strip. Beautiful photo ops available.

It's a yearly tradition for my friends & I to rent a fire pit & ice skate at the Cosmopolitan as the beautiful ice rink oversees the Las Vegas Strip with beautiful lights & there's so much to celebrate with the month of my birthday & Thanksgiving holidays. This year I rented a fire pit for 12 people @4:30 PM & it was $500 for 2.5 hours. The $500 (excluding gratuity, service fee, & sales tax) is used towards food, beverage (including cocktails), and skates voucher credit. The skate vouchers are also an exclusive offering for reservation guests that include access to the rink & skate rentals for $15 per person which is usually $30 daily or $20 for locals with valid ID so that was a great deal. The servers were also super sweet & constantly checking up on us to inquire if we needed anything. In the end she used my remaining credit to give us bottled waters. I also highly recommend emailing their cabana sales team as they were efficient & answered all my questions/concerns promptly, as well as providing the menu & other information beforehand. Cons: - The snow showers are supposed to happen every 30 minute but we did not see it once during the 4 hours we were there this year. - It also gets busy after 6 pm so I recommend going a little earlier considering the ice rink is quite considerably small & it gets really cramped.

Very reasonably priced. But, this year they are lacking seating areas and portable heaters. Plus the ice rink gets way too overcrowded and you can barely skate. They need a better system.

Celene Gilliland

Google
Amazing! Highly recommend during the holiday season! Rent a firepit!! They have these lil dolphins to push the little ones around if they are too young to skate, my son is 2 and he loved it! Food and drinks were awesome too!

Yelp
I wish I could give it 5 stars because of the views from the rooftop, but I can't.. The ice rink itself was a pretty decent size for being a rooftop rink; some say it's pretty small. I went on a Friday thinking that since I'm a LV resident, I would get the local discount, but didn't realize it was only Valid on Monday-Thursday, and then $30 during the weekends, Friday-Sunday. I don't remember if the website mentioned that. I also give it three stars because there were sooo many people and so many little kids going all over the place! Like it was bad to the point where it didn't feel safe because as you go around the rink counterclockwise (like you should), there are kids skating from your left and right with those big ice skating aides (with the handle and seats to help you balance). You can't peacefully go around in circles without worrying about crashing into people. Like there were no regulations on the ice rink. The workers were basically only there to help those who fell. Nonetheless... i had a good time with friends, as that was our first time going here. We really appreciated the views and the food/drinks! Hopefully next time I go, I'll feel safer hahah. If it's your first time Ice skating, please be careful and stick to the side. There are other people who don't care to slow down.

Yelp
Located in what is normally the Boulevard Pool area of The Cosmopolitan, The Ice Rink is a great place for small groups to ice skating. They have areas with heaters and fire outs to relax and enjoy some food or a hot chocolate. The view up and down the strip is also pretty cool. Definitely worth checking out!

Erika N.

Yelp
The Ice Rink is a yearly pop up that's held at the boulevard pool deck at the Cosmopolitan. For around $20 (with a locals discount) you can rent skates and ice skate your little heart out on their rink or if you're not a skater you can still enjoy the vibes for free. I love the views of the strip & that they play Christmas movies or music throughout. The rink isn't super large so it does get pretty overwhelming when it's peak times. If you're not a pro skater I recommend going during the weekdays to avoid being trampled on. Besides the rink they also offer winter themed food and drinks. Remember it is the strip, so expect the prices to be jacked up. They also do a "snow" fall every hour I believe or half hour which is a cute photo op. Overall it's a fun holiday activity to enjoy with friends or family.

Michelle A.

Yelp
The Ice rink is located where the Boulevard pool normally is, but they transform the area into a beautiful winter wonderland. Not only is there ice skating with gorgeous strip views but also holiday movies, seasonal cocktails and snack/food available. All day skating rental and admission is $30-daily $20-locals, military & first responders with valid ID (Mon - Thurs) And they have skate aids available as well for: $15-skate aid and reindeer rental- 60-minute rental My daughter and I had a blast and took in the gorgeous views. We missed out on the light snow showers, but had some of the best Hot chocolate while we were there topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. Parking was actually a breeze, we parked in the boulevard tower parking on the 3rd level, so it was a close walk to the elevators right up to the 3rd floor. I believe parking is $15 Oh don't forget to rent a fire pit which is great if you're with a small group for roasting s'mores around the fire.

Ann M.

Yelp
It's a tradition that I come here every year for my daughter's birthday. We love everything about this place. Was able to snap Groupon deal to go here. 2 skates plus 2 hot cocoa for $50 is a good deal too! This year is different Better set up but the staffs at the rental skates are so slow! Cocoa is so good when it's windy and cold! They sell these warm white fleece throw for $50. (Sooo soft!) Going on a weeknight seems better than weekends since less crowd, which I love. You can also rent tables for s'mores Located on the 4th floor at the Blvd Admission: $30 Must sign waiver

Yelp
Expensive for such crappy ambiance and gross drinks. Cosmo has gone downhill and this experience and whopping price proves it No where to sit if you don't pay their bottle service prices So over Vegas as a local

Alex J.

Yelp
Even during the day, the Cosmopolitan Ice Rink is pretty cool. You get to enjoy incredible views of the soaring buildings all around while ice skating, enjoying food and drinks, and relaxing by the fire pits or heaters. They also have fun spiked holiday beverages at the bar for the adults (this is Vegas we're talking about!). If you're looking to relax, they also have a lounge area where you can get seated with a server to order food and drinks. It was great to come here for a Yelp Elite event because I have been here previously during the height of the season, and it gets pretty packed on the ice. I brought my own skates, so I enjoyed less people being there for this event.

Yelp
When I think of the holiday season, I always think of The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan. This beautiful ice rink overlooks the entire Vegas Strip and is such an incredibly festive thing to do during the holiday season! I decided to take my husband here for Date Skate because I saw they were playing The Santa Clause and that's one of his favorite Christmas movies. So after he got off work, we drove down there to the Cosmopolitan. Parking is pretty easy, especially since Date Skate was on a Monday night and the Strip is pretty dead on Mondays, as well as the this hotel. We parked near Boulevard Tower, which make it super easy to get to because you just take the elevator up to the third floor, then walk out to the escalators and go up one more floor. Easy peasy! The setup this year for ice skating is a lot easier. They don't have the big Christmas tree, which is kinda sad, but they replaced it with The Chalet, which is this super cute lounge that literally looks like something out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. And also as beautiful as that tree is, it blocks the best view! Now, they have that area reserved for renting your ice skates, and it makes it a lot easier, too. When we arrived, we grabbed a high top table to watch the movie on the screen and then order some food and drinks. We each ordered a cocktail. Mine was like a smores and it was delightful! My husband ordered the pumpkin one and that was quite tasty, too. For dinner, we split the mozzarella sticks and then I had the tomato soup with grilled cheese. The food was really good! And of course you can never go wrong with a craft cocktail from The Cosmopolitan. They always have my favorite drinks. The price wasn't bad at all! We paid $20 per person to ice skate because they give you a locals discount during the week! Score! And to be honest, we got pretty good at Ice Skating which was shocking seeing as the last time we went, we both held on to the side the entire time haha! I would definitely recommend going during the week because I think they get pretty crowded on the weekends. Definitely a festive thing to do during the holidays!

Yelp
Note: this review has nothing to do about skating, but focuses on more important things such as their non-alcoholic offerings and their...cups. It was nice to revisit this place after a couple of years since the last time I stayed at The Cosmopolitan in December. My favorite Boulevard pool becomes an ice-skating rink! This time around, I didn't see a Christmas tree (and I was staying several floors up so I looked for it from above to make sure) but they do have 'The Chalet' now which might have taken up more space in the area? Although you have to pay to skate, there is no charge to simply check the place out, which makes me very happy since they offer some of the best winter drinks here. Let me tell you how good their peppermint hot chocolate was; this was much better than I had expected. Chad was great; he added in some marshmallows since they were out of whipped cream and they were the last treat at the bottom of the cup. I also noticed they had really cute cups this time around. Couple days later, I went back for more but Tyler said they seemed to have run out of peppermint, but he sprinkled on the peppermint topping anyway. When I went to drink this, I swear it was pure peppermint and the machine he used must have been mislabeled or something since there was definite mint in there. Obviously, I enjoyed every last drop. Today, they only seemed to have basic cups but this didn't disrupt the beverage by any means. I would have shown up the day in between, but the rink was closed due to the heavy rain. Next time I show up in December, I'll be there everyday during my stay for yes, a really good cup of peppermint hot chocolate since I don't mess around.

Yelp
Awesome. We are regulars at the Cosmo and especially its pool area. This year they really took the skating rink area up several notches. The check in process is pretty painless , especially for those used to winter sports. A simple partially self populating release form takes about a minute to complete, from there skaters proceed to the cashier and then to the skate retrieval area. The Ice Rink has plenty of skates in all sizes and they vary 1/2 size at a time. The rink itself has the usual public skating quality ice, which helps as many first time skaters are present at every given night. Skating seals are a bit pricey at $15 a pop. The atmosphere itself is upbeat and lots of fun. The music is pumping, the lighting perfect for a rink. Add to that the lights from Paris, Aria, Planet Hollywood and basically the entire strip in either direction. A bar full bar with the addition of hot chocolate drinks and a decent menu is made available, as are private fire puts and the fixin's for Smores. This year the the Ice Rink added the Chalet area which i will leave for another to Yelper to review. Its an awesome night - every time!

Yelp
Ice skating in the desert! Located at the cosmopolitan hotel sitting in the exact spot the pool would sit is an awesome little ice rink overlooking the LasVegas Strip. If you're a local you get a discount on the skating which is a plus. Hit the Groupon special and you get 2 for 50 with hot chocolate included. The bar is full of holiday special drinks to make the Christmas vibe strong. The rink is small and gets a little busy but you never feel rushed. There's no time limit so you can take you're time relax and enjoy the vibe and start the season off on a great note.

Sabrina H.

Yelp
Absolutely hallmark style venue including ice rink overlooking the strip, holiday themed beverages, and quality comfort food. Booked my company party here and was not disappointed! Fantastic turnout and would recommend!

Megan N.

Yelp
This place is a great option for anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly activity. The atmosphere is sure to get you in the Holiday spirit and they have some great drinks and snacks. It's maybe a tad pricy considering the rink is a little on the smaller side and can tend to get a little congested, but overall I had a good experience here.

Jen W.

Yelp
We brought our two teens to The Cosmopolitan's rooftop ice rink and even though the rink is a bit small, everyone had a great experience and we loved having a view of the Strip. There were fire pits you could reserve, a full bar, and great snack menu. We also used an online coupon that gave us a deal on skate rentals and hot chocolate. At the bar we ordered: -Warm, Made-to-Order Donuts (that was the actual name on the menu) w/Nutella dipping sauce -Tater Tot Nachos w/cheese fondue, togarashi spice, cojita cheese, cilantro. -Campfire Delight Cocktail: a s'mores-inspired martini w/reposado tequila, Rumchata liquor, chocolate and toasted marshmallow Hours: Nov. 16 - Dec. 17 | 4 - 11PM (Mon - Fri) | Noon - 11PM (Sat & Sun) Dec. 18, 2021 - Jan. 2, 2022 | Noon - 11PM (daily) Nov. 24 | Noon - 11PM Nov. 25 & 26 | Noon - Midnight Dec. 24 & 25 | Noon - Midnight

Yelp
What a magical time we had at the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink! Located on the roof top of Cosmopolitan hotel, I learned that they turn their pool into an ice rink for the winter. We were fortunate to rent a booth area for the night. The booth seats up to 6 guests for the night. Included in the package is not only the booth, but also ice skate rentals and food/ beverages for the night. We came to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday, and had a blast! My daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed ice skating for the night. We splurged on their food and drinks (which I have to admit was SO tasty!). The girls also enjoyed some hot chocolate and s'mores package. Overall, we enjoyed the night. The girls did not want to leave! Will definitely be back the next time we visit for winter. Shoutout to our waitress, who took such good care of us. I'm so sorry I can't recall the name but hope to see you again!

Yelp
Such a charming spot to celebrate the holidays with a cocktail, ice skating and a spectacular view of the strip! Super cute for families and date nights. We got a fireplace near the ice rink and strip view and started with cocktails. I had the Jack Frost with Jack Daniel's white chocolate, crème de menthe, cocoa, espresso and whipped cream. My girl had the campfire delight which had burn on, toasted marshmallows hot coco and whipped cream. Her campfire tasted better and takes the win, my Jack Frost was very boozy. For bites we split the beef brisket quesadillas, grilled cheese & tomato soup, chicken pot pie empanadas, and chicken hot chicken sliders. The chicken pot pie empanadas took the win! For dessert we split the cinnamon churros with dulce de leche dipping sauce, which the churros had way too much sugar! We also split the Mele Kalikimaka with Dole Whip and rum which was yummy but also very strong! Over all it was a delightful festive holiday spot that I feel could easily turn into a tradition! The ice skating rink was very small and kinda full and way too many kids, but it was still very cute and want!

Yelp
We booked a fire pit for our kid's birthday. It was opening day, and they opened up late so I was irritated that I was not able to have the time I booked. Once they opened up, everyone was very kind. You book the $230 two hour experience and get a $175 credit. We ordered food and got skates and skate aids for the kids. The nice thing about the reservation is that you don't have to get anything, they bring the food, drinks, and skates to you. It was windy but the staff was kind enough to turn on the outdoor heaters along with the fire pit. The skates didn't fit so the host was kind enough to go back and grab different sizes. The kids decided they wanted skate aids and the host was kind enough to talk with the skate aid guy to secure them. Once the kids were skating, the skate aid guy would talk with them and listen to their kid rants with smiles. At one point, my kid's skate was loose and a staff member took the time to bend down and tighten it. The food was nothing to write home about but the kids enjoyed making the s'mores and generally watching the fire glow in the fire pit. It was also nice to have a warm, comfortable place to rest between skating rounds. It usually costs us around $150 to skate here so the price difference wasn't that much especially when you consider the service and comfort. There's a good chance that we'll book the fire pit experience again.

Tenny A.

Yelp
Came up here for NYEs eve and I was not disappointed, lots of room in the ice ring and parking was in and out despite the strip being close. It's definitely one of the best spot on the strip. The staff were friendly and the DJ was on fire. See you guys again next year. Our family and friend's love the experience here.

Yelp
Iiiiiiiiii'm dreaaaming of a whiiiiiiite Christmas!!! You, too?? Head on over to the Boulevard Tower, 4th Floor, to get your skate on at The Ice Rink atop of the Cosmopolitan! What is usually the Boulevard Pool during the summer months, is completely transformed into a skating rink surrounded by fire pits (for a hefty fee), hot chocolate, and adult beverages. The rink itself is small, but still large enough to enjoy skating round 'n round with your fam, friends, and even little ones. Don't forget to look up and around for views of Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Bellagio! Due to COVID, I read the capacity is set to 60 skaters max. Can you imagine if it were pre-COVID? Aiyahhh! I prefer the crowd control. We were pretty lucky with the small amount of skaters when we arrived. Be sure to watch out for the blue seals and reindeer skate aids! But more importantly, try to not take selfie's while skating if you've never skated before. I saw A LOT of skaters fall, slip, and one even hit her head. Owwweeee!! It was pretty chilly when we arrived at 2:00pm, but after a few laps on the ice, we easily warmed up. I'd still recommend you dress in layers and wear gloves. You might also want to bring two masks, because ya know, all that heavy breathing into a cloth mask sure makes for a pretty moist cover. Eww. Hours: Dec 18, 2020: 3 - 11PM Dec 19, 2020 - Jan 3, 2021: Noon - 11PM Dec 24 & 25, 2020: Noon - Midnight Dec 31: Noon - 1AM (reservations required) Prices: $30 daily; $20 for locals, military and hotel guests (Mon-Thurs only); $15 for a skate aid. Note: your ticket is valid for the entire day! Happy holidays!!

Yelp
This is a very cute idea for families, and for those who might be dating or for a group of friends. This is something that I look forward to seeing during the winter time when I visit Vegas. More than anything, it is nice to grab hot chocolate at the chalet. Getting the giant thermos of hot chocolate is a much better deal than anyone will tell you, we also do s'mores. That's always fun. One thing I will say is that ice-skating here is extremely expensive. There are other places that are probably a whole lot cheaper. The skates that are rented out here are terrible. For safety reasons, though, however, I understand. They are not like any sort of real ice skates I've seen before. These remind me more of the practice hockey type skates. If you know what I mean, you know what I mean. The people who work here we're not all that friendly. The ones I am referring to are the ones who were actually on the ice rink or taking care of high top tables around it. The waitresses and wait staff at the chalet, however, were extremely friendly and very cherry. They were so sweet in fact. Basically, coming here for everything except for ice-skating is a good idea. Just the skates alone and rental time is crazy expensive.

Dominique I.

Yelp
My girls have so much fun. They can ice skate all day. Will definitely come back. I recommend it with people with kids.

Yelp
Super cute holiday event to celebrate with the family they have s'mores, ice skating rink overlooking the strip, food and drinks for the adults

Yelp
Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the World. The way things are headed, Vegas will also be The Winter Wonderland Capital of the World. Through November 21 to January 6 one of the headline acts performing is "The Ice Rink at the Boulevard Pool." This isn't a rock band or legendary performer. It is a resort swimming pool above the Strip transformed into a 4,200 square foot ice skating rink. It's performances are as follows: November 21 through December 20 Monday to Thursday: 3 pm-midnight. Friday to Sunday: Noon-midnight. December 21 to January 6 Everyday: Noon to midnight. This is a performance that throughout the Holidays seasons that I have attended. The Las Vegas Strip does such a fantastic job with the Winter Wonderland attractions that if there was a Winter Wonderland fee I would gladly pay it. However to enjoy the Winter Wonderland transformation on the Strip, the fee is walking. That is because taken as a whole, the indivual hotel and outdoor attractions are a joyful and incredible family friendly experience. When I take time to capture the Winter Wonderland Experience of the Ice Rink at Boulevard Mall it is part of a stroll that includes the Conservatory & Public Gardens at the Bellagio to the north and the mommouth Christmas tree in Crystal's to the south. The Ice Rink at Boulevard Pool is on the fifth floor of the Cosmopolitan. The set of escalators leading from the casino to the rink is close to the Las Vegas Strip entrances. The iconic chandelier landmarks makes the escalator easy to find. There is zero cost to enter the ice rink Winter Wonderland. However with a capital "H," there is a fee to skate in the rink. Below is the schedule of costs to rent skates and use the rink. Please note that they charge the same to bring in your own skates: $20 a day. Locals, Military, & hotel Guests: $10 Monday -Thursday. In my case the skate rentals are irrelevant. I am more suited for taking pictures and taking in the joyful environment than taking bumps ice skating. Rising above the iconic Las Vegas Strip, this Winter Wonderland on a casino roof top overlooks the Eiffel Tower, Planet Hollywood, and Bellagio Marque. Only in Vegas does a Christmas tree share the skyline with the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio Marque. It is this magnificent scenery with the Christmas spirit that kept me here for awhile. Under the heaters, I took in guests enjoying roasted smores by the fires with special Holidays beverages while people of all ages ice skated. Complementing the ice rink is the bar, a roof deck with plenty of tables and fire pits. The best time to capture the ice rink is after dark. Then again, isn't this true with The Las Vegas Strip in general? On my visits, something was missing. That was the light snow showers. Much to my disappointment the snow fall was missing in action on my Tuesday visit. I feel that hanging out in a snow shower above the Strip and below the Eiffel Tower would of been an off the top experience. To avoid others the same disappointment, here is the snow fall schedule below: November 21 to December 20. Every 30 minutes. Friday to Sunday 7 pm to midnight. December 21 to January 6 Every 30 minutes. Wednesday to Sunday 7 pm to midnight. When it comes to entertainment, The Ice Rink is a fantastic headliner in the Las Vegas Strip Winter Wonderland Show. It supports the many properties and outdoor places that when added as a whole is turning Las Vegas into the Winter Wonderland Capital of the World. When in Vegas during Christmas and the Holidays the Ice Rink is a Must See with the Conservatory at Bellagio, Crystal's Christmas tree, and several other attractions. The Ice Rink at Boulevard Pool For The World!!!

Michael S.

Yelp
The Ice Rink is located on the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan set high above the Las Vegas Strip! Though the rink isn't very large, it would comfortably allow about 80 skaters to be on the ice at one time in my opinion. The views are outstanding of the Strip, and the location allows for plenty of social media photo ops! Locals can go anytime during the week for only $20, and there is no limit to the amount of time you want to skate! My only real complaint is the food and drinks. Cocktails are $17 each, which is comparable for Strip drinks currently, but their pre-determined drink menu has each drink already made and simply dispensed from a plastic jug! First, that's embarrassing for a swanky resort like the Cosmopolitan! Second, when drinks are pre-made, poured from a plastic container, they are going to be extremely cheap tasting and weak! The round of drinks that I bought for everyone was exactly that! No taste of alcohol whatsoever, definitely a "stale" taste, and certainly not worthy of a $62 bill after tipping!! Though I appreciate the free parking for locals, and the $10 savings on skating, I am embarrassed for the Cosmopolitan for the "cheapness" they display for their food and beverage program!

Yelp
I have had this activity bookmarked for around 3 years now. I bought a Groupon, so finally had a reason to make the trip down. My Groupon included admission for 2 adults with skate rental and hot chocolate. As far as the venue goes, it's absolutely stunning! For one to say that they have ice skated atop a Strip resort is a great conversation piece. The rink is located in the Boulevard Pool area so has great views of the Strip and neighboring properties, such as the Bellagio, Paris, and Aria. With that being said, it's a great place to get some awesome Instagram photos with friends. There are also periodic snow showers for the ultimate winter experience in the desert. There are fire pits to enjoy some heat in the cold as this rink is outdoors. Smores are available as well as other foods. I ordered my hot chocolate from the bar. The bartenders were very nice and easy to strike up a conversation with. This was my first time ever ice skating and it wasn't too bad. The skates were easy to navigate. If you have a little one or are inexperienced, there are little seals and reindeers that you can rent out and hold onto. Otherwise, just stick to the sides. Cons would definitely have to be that the rink is tiny! It gets crowded very fast, so if you are inexperienced, it can be difficult to navigate as people stick to the sides for photos, etc. I had fun for sure, but would check out another rink next time I decide to go ice skating.

Yelp
May I say that the rink at the Cosmo has confirmed my assumption that family fun activities have not totally disappeared in Vegas. Last Sunday my family and I gathered for a bit of booze, snacks and skating. We opted for a fire pit rental after I read some of the reviews on Yelp recommending the pits. I would like to add my recommendation to the list. We were taken of care of from start to finish and in my opinion it made the experience so much more enjoyable. What I loved: - Skates were provided and the fire pit attendant retrieved them so we could relax at the table. - They limited the number of people on the ice so there was plenty of room to skate without bumping into someone (unintentionally). They also rotated skaters every 15 minutes to make sure everyone was able to enjoy the ice. - The drinks and snacks .... the chicken tater tot nachos were taaaasty! The drinks were strong and festive, a winning combination at this time of year. May I recommend the Hot & Bothered as well as the Scrooge. - The skating assistants, especially the seal version which has the allows one person to push/use it for balance while the other person sits and enjoys the ride. My family and I laughed, and enjoyed the time together and will absolutely be back next year (This may just become a new tradition). 10/10 highly highly recommend for all ages!

Yelp
The ice skating is great, but the service is horrible. We rented the chairs with the fire pit. The server is supposed to bring your skates, 35 minutes later we were still waiting. I had to go ask what was going on. We ordered food, same thing over 30 minutes, where is out food! They have a bunch of very young people working there, service was horrible! It really should snow on the hour.... we were there 4 hours it snowed once. Come on cosmopolitan your making $$$$$$ on this!

Yelp
This was my first time going in for the Fire-pit Reservation. The experience is not worth the $423! As were going up, it was very windy and they sat us at the top floor where one of the Patio Heaters fell. The workers were somewhat nice but we got a chicken tender platter, the ranch fell into one of our family members shoes and they took a long time to get some towels even though we had to clean it ourselves. The worker we had left and we had another waitress who was okay. I believe most of the food was decent, most of it isn't worth its price. The ice rink itself on the other hand is definitely worth it, it has a great view while skating. Overall, there were many problems but there were no problems with the Ice Rink itself.

Yelp
Located on the 3rd floor at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. Absolutely beautiful place, wonderfully done for the winter activities. There is NO entrance fee here. The rental fees are very reasonable for the skates. Also, if you like a ringside table and seating, you can call ahead and reserve your fire pit table. It's very enjoyable, especially for marshmallows, hot cocoa, bite size entrees, plus drinks from the full service bar! As a local, I really enjoy going here! The view is beautiful and the service is always great! A little setback is the parking situation with the fees, but I still love the place!

Yelp
Bringing small kids to Vegas is a fool's errand; considering we were compelled to do so recently for my cousin's wedding meant it wasn't our call. My dear cousin, who works and lives in Vegas, considered those of us with littluns in her wedding-weekend event planning, and included a visit to the Ice Rink after the rehearsal dinner. While it was crowded, I was pleasantly surprised! The "rooftop" pool adjacent to the Strip was covered with an ice skating rink... we're not talking ice hockey LA Kings size or anything, but enough to do a loop around with a few hundred of your fellow visitors to Sin City. For the kids, they had little Toto-molded plastic sleds that doubled as something to hold/push/avoid falling. Occasional "snow showers" of soap bubbles, and some insipid holiday music made sure you didn't forget where you were... don't worry, Cosmo, the drink prices at the adjacent bar kept that at the top of my mind. For the wedding party, we reserved a heater/fire pit area, so we had a base of operations for shoes, etc. In defiance of the "What happens/stays" adage, the super race-car driving male model idiot who attempted a triple lutz in a crowded rink with kids who ran into me gave me a nice bruise on my leg to take home. We had words but I don't believe he understood me. Sober up, Björn. Still, The kids had fun, we didn't lose any money gambling for a short while, and we did something I likely never would have done on my own. Good times....

Yelp
The views are great from the 4th floor at the Cosmo - but honestly, that's about it Skating is $30 Monday - Thursday is cheaper for locals/military Wait times can get long - only 60 people allowed on the rink at once. The rink itself is TINY. I get that it's normally a pool - they turn it into a rink during off season but it's crowded & uncomfortable with that many people attempting to skate at once. The ice gets cut up quickly too - making it difficult to skate. Drink prices are steep ($17 for a small mixed drink) - but we saw people bringing their own alcohol... wish we would have known that was acceptable beforehand.

Yelp
After numerous skating visits throughout the years, it's time to give some yelp love. Let's focus on the most recent 2018 visit for this review.. This year, we went online and pre-paid two seats by a fire pit. $130.25 = $100 minimum + $22 Tip (22%) + $8.25 tax bought us reserved seats for 2 hours. Since me & the bbff like to drink and skate, this was an easy choice. Skate vouchers are $10 each and we always rent the kid seal skate seat. One person pushes while the other sits and enjoys the ride. There's a separate check in desk for fire pit reservations and it was VIP service all the way. We didn't have to fall in line for filling out waivers and picking up skates. They were busy so that was at least a 30 minute line we avoided. Our host walked us to the front of the skate pick up area and walked us over to our fire pit area. Super friendly and skipping lines made this so worth it. The skating rink is a pretty decent size but can get packed quickly as this is a popular spot. Artificial snow kicks in every hour (If i remember correctly) and they pump Christmas music during this time. It's well lit and a good time in the rink. Drinks are $15 a hit as well as the food entrees. We grabbed the chicken tenders and the nachos. Both were tasty pool food but you only get 4 tenders in your order. (fyi) The Campire delight cocktail is tastes like chocolate milk with this massive marshmallow. The bar and restaurant by the pool is such a win. Overall I would highly suggest renting a fire pit section if you visit during prime time like we did. (Saturday evening) just on skipping the line hassle alone. (I'm allergic to lines) It's definitely an annual visit and really gets me in the Christmas spirit. Enjoy! =)

Yelp
It's very pretty, I went on Christmas Day so it was very busy. The rink it's self was very small, but had great views.

Yelp
THANK GOODNESS this nightmare is no longer this year. Where to start. 1. Over priced..... way over priced. 2. An ice area about the size of a small backyard that crambed with as many as they can squeeze in. If you have and thoughts of ACTUALLY ice skating... don't bother! 3. For the people who can't, they give then a plastic " helper". Which makes it impossible to skate or move. It like skating in a closet while dodging shopping carts. FOOD 4. 68.00 for a platter of tots with MAYBE 8 oz of dry overcooked chicken. 5. Slider platter was a little better because is was somewhat hot. But again not a good value. 6. A platter of over priced Churros served with a yogurt berry dipping sauce. Maybe a warm chocolate sauce would have saved this choice. SEATING AREA 6. We had a reservation and was escorted to our spot by an employee....and then was aggressively question by another employee about why we were in a reserved spot? 5. The reserved fire pit was too high. When you sat at your chair. The fire was above the level of your head. Overall the set up is a great idea BUT unfortunately an amateur production. If they try this next year. DONT spend the 350.00. Save it for something worth it..

Yelp
This place is cute, but it's extremely crowded to the point where you can't even skate. It is way smaller in person and always packed. However, the view of the Strip is pretty.

Yelp
What a fun time! Heard about The Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan last year, and mentioned it to my husband a few days before our Vegas adventure. I bought the Groupon deal for $35 which included admission, skate rental, and hot chocolate. When we arrived, we signed our waivers and picked up our skates. Please note, there isn't anywhere to store valuables, only little cubbies for your shoes. Once we had our skates on, away we went. The Boulevard Pool is transformed into an ice skating fun for the entire family. They even have little skate aids for kids to hang onto so they don't get hurt. It's not your regular sized ice rink, but still decent sized, and plenty of room to skate. Once we had enough skating, we went to the bar and got our hot chocolate and also ordered beignets. Everything was served piping hot. There's also a winter themed cocktail menu, and other delectable delights. There isn't much seating, but you can reserve a fire pit. All in all, A+ to the Cosmo for a fun holiday activity!

Crissy S.

Yelp
If you're in search of a "winter-festive" activity to put you in the holiday mood between the palm trees and sunshine, this was worth the trek out to the strip for (I live off-strip in LV). They had fake "snow", campfire spots with s'mores, a bar with fun drinks, and was overall a neat set-up. I'd love to go back again if we make it out to Cosmo. Of note: I'd only ever rollerbladed prior to this (and not so great at it) - so if you're worried about not knowing how to ice skate, don't.

Yelp
I love this ice rink ! Perfect place to spend an evening outdoors during the holiday season :) Probably my favorite ice rink in town since it's at the Cosmopolitan and overlooks the heart of the Strip. It's on the 4th floor outdoors. It's pretty small (a lot smaller compared to other ice rinks like the Las Vegas Ice Center) and can get crowded especially during the weekend but it adds to the festive atmosphere. I love how they have fake "falling snow." They also have a full bar and they serve a few food items like hot tomato soup & grilled cheese , and s'mores. I had the BEST hot chocolate here. There's a few "communal" fire pits available , and you & your group can get your own private fire pit. I believe you have to spend a certain amount on food and drinks/bottle service to reserve one though. On certain nights they play holiday movies on the large Strip-side projection screen. It opens around the end of the November until the New Year from 7 AM til 11 PM. 20$ for an all day pass + ice skate rentals. Locals and hotel guests get discounts Monday through Thursday for 10$.

Yelp
Attended during Yelp event with coworkers was alot more than I thought. We felt like kids ice skating, doing s'mores and drinking very good hot chocolate. Cosmos hot chocolate was very rich and sweet one of the best I've tried was not the watered down kind. We tried multiple cocktails and egg nog type warm shot and all were very good! You cant go wrong with any of the cold or hot winter cocktails on the menu. Staff was very friendly would definitely do it again! Great for couples, friends, family and children.

Yelp
Things you take for granted in colder climates, like ice skating, aren't easily found everywhere. On a recent girlfriend trip, we stayed at the fun and glamorous Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's one of those hotels that fits comfortably into the category of a great place for a girlfriend-kind of-getaway. I enjoy this hotel because it's the one I frequent the most when in Las Vegas., and I'm also the most familiar with because of the restaurants that are housed within the property. This property is special because it has a fantastic global selection of food. With so much to do and see in this city....little did we know how much was going on above the hotel's rooftop each evening. Islanders aren't ice skaters. It doesn't come second nature to us. Although, it was nice to discover that most people aren't really experts at it either! It appeared that everyone there didn't really care about falling and was there just to share laughs together! On the last evening, we discovered the Rink. And all things related to winter fun. It was fun traveling to Las Vegas in the winter, but temperatures dropped to the high 30's. Pretty cold by Hawaiian standards. Finding that the Rink offered thick blankets by your Adirondack lounge chair to keep you warm was comforting. Hot foie gras pop tarts, warm oysters rockefeller & spiked hot cocoa keeps you from thinking about going back indoors. Along with all those other winter beverages... blissful hot toddies or boozy hot butter runs. a cup or two of any of these cozy mugs will cure nearly all your skating bruises. End your evening on a sweet note, with s'mores by the fire pits. A common thing to do all over the US but these types of winter activities we never grew up doing, so it's fun. Even if you don't ice skate it's a fun place to just hang out. After all, ice skating takes talents you may not possess, especially after a few adult beverages. Keep that in mind before you rent the skates. Much to the delight of everyone, the crowd had many spectators, not expert skaters. Many of whom were entertained by witnessing the agility of the young skaters, some of whom looked like they have probably never been upon ice skates, enjoying a lot of laughs just trying. I saw that you could also rent a chair on the ice. This is where one partner skates and hangs on to the back of a chair, where the other partner sits and is glided on the ice. Just in case one partner doesn't feel as comfortable on skates. They think of everything! Everyone seemed happy, some, exhibiting a gracefulness in their evolutions that without a doubt they learned from childhood. With a bunch of folks falling now and then, reminding those who were content to remain as spectators to do just that. After all. you don't have to be a super skater to enjoy this activity; as I saw, on many occasions the worse you are, the more fun you'll have! It's a million times more beautiful to ice skate in a more natural setting without the crowd and city around you but it is only $10 if you stay on property, and conveniently located one escalator ride up to the rooftop. You can also guarantee your friends it will snow while you skate because it falls every 30 minutes!

Yelp
This is a must-do, every year, if you tryna get festive. Every single year. I always recommend it to out-of-towners. There are always ice rinks throughout Vegas and some suck, some are very meh. But nowhere else in the world can you ice skate under snowfall, lights, and the Eiffel tower peering at you on the roof of the coolest hotel on the Strip. It's just really neat ok. They have firepits with s'mores kits, games, and a photo wall, and a Christmas DJ, and martinis with toasted marshmallows in them. There are a few other options around town where you could go ice skating but they just don't really compare to what the Cosmo offers. Even when it's crowded or you think the martinis are expensive. Just take a deep breath and look around when you're up there.

Yelp
One star for having decent rental skates. Another for food. The rest of the experience, from price to ice, was atrocious. When we arrived the ice was already completely torn up. Two hours later, the Zamboni still hadn't moved and the ruts were deeper than ever. But for the majority of the crowd, that totally didn't matter, as they were much more interested in stopping - seemingly at whim - to take photos of the experience. I get it, kinda. The actual skating was so awful that any photo would be more enjoyable, but still this meant anyone trying to show a kid how to skate had to deal with a bunch of arseholes with iPhones If your goal is to spend a pile of cash for Selfies On Ice, then this place is for you. If you like skating go somewhere else

Yelp
Super super fun and beautiful location!! The ice rink was amazingly beautiful and the entire place was so nicely designed and decorated. The hot chocolate was amazing! My all time favorite was the snow. It made me feel like I was in a movie living the winter wonderland dream. Haha

Yelp
This was my first time ice skating which is unbelievable since I am from Wisconsin originally. I am grateful and proud that I did not fall on my butt or at all for that matter. Located on the 4th floor of the Cosmopolitan Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas strip. Provides magnificent views of the Blvd. Normally this area is home to wild pool parties and debauchery and mischief but during the off season they have an ice rink covering the main pool. What fun! At times they even have a manufactured snow store to make it feel like a magical winter wonderland even though the outside Temps are much warmer. When I went it was in the 60's and some were even skating in shorts. The new equipment made it easy for all skill levels to enjoy an evening on the ice with beautiful views of LVB. The staff was very friendly and we're even providing guidance and coaching to those in need. When adults and children fell to the ice they were there to assist and make sure guests were ok to continue. Also available were plenty of fire pits to keep you warm an toasty and even s'more's kits to roast marshmallows in between laps on the ice. Food and alcohol were available for purchase to provide nourishment and energy. Cocktails to warm you up and numb the pain if you crashed on the ice. What a great way to spend an evening outdoors with the family during the holiday season. Without the bitter cold of the upper midwest. Enjoy! I sure did.

Yelp
Always a good time here! The views are amazing, the hot chocolate is delicious, and there is snow every half an hour! It can get a bit crowded and there are more kids than I would think would be there but for someone like me who isn't the best skater, I was just fine going slow because of the crowd. If you are a great skater, I wouldn't really recommend coming here unless it was for a romantic night out because the space is pretty small and with it's popularity, you won't get much speed lol. I went on a freezing cold night with very high winds which made it a bit uncomfortable but once you get moving you get warmed up and honestly, the atmosphere was so great that you forget that you're cold because you're just enjoying yourself and the space around you.

Yelp
We had our second visit this season to the rink the day after Christmas. We went at opening in hopes that it would be less crowded. Apparently, I was not the only one with this idea. The skate payment line moved relatively quickly. And the bonus for coming earlier was that my daughter got to choose her skate aid (seal vs. Rudolph). She chose the seal because it is slightly bigger and it has the ability to double as a seat for a friend to push. The girls had a blast on the ice, but a couple of fails and friend's mittens were soaked. Not sure if the nicer weather caused it, but the entire rink had water puddles, which also made it slick. Past season experience renting a fire pit spoiled us to servers coming and bringing food and beverages. We had to hit the bar to get freshments. Hot chocolate is good. The local special during the week is much appreciated!

Yelp
In winter this cosmopolitan balcony pool overlooking the strip is turned into a winter wonderland with ice rink, fire pits, and great hangout place in general for drinks and socializing. On New Year Eve, this has an excellent view of fireworks on the vegas strip. Direct view of Planet Hollywood fireworks and up and down the strip, without the crazy crowd gathered one the street below. A few minor complaints: 1. When entering the staff directs you to walk all the way around the cabanas/jacuzzi area just to check your room key, and only then can you continue to walk back to the strip side. This is even AFTER they have already checked your room key TWICE: once before coming up the escalators, and next when you reach the top of the escalators. Perhaps to get everyone to pass by the bar and skate rental area to spend more money?? 2. when exiting the area after the fireworks, they closed all the exits and directed everyone again towards that one escalator: resulting in a long line that is entirely unnecessary and avoidable.

Yelp
Ice skating on top of the Cosmopolitan is a beautiful midday activity with the family. We took our six year old, and she had a blast. The skates are poor quality for the price of admission, though. Also, when they close the ice to resurface with the zamboni, it literally takes over thirty minutes. I don't understand why, except maybe it's outside and needs more time to set? It was fairly cold out when we went, so by the time they reopened the ice, we were ready to go. We used a Groupon deal, which came with hot chocolate, and that was so good. It was the baby's first cocoa, and she laughed after every sip. It's a memory we'll always cherish.
