The Iliad Bookshop

Omg... This place is a book lovers paradise! I've always wanted to stop in here & I finally had time! If you love to read or just love nostalgia, you need this bookstore. They have EVERYTHING. Floor to ceiling shelves overflowing with books of all kinds on every subject you can think of. Old books. New books. Things that are WAY out of print.. like "The Joy of Crock Pot Cooking." Lol... It's just a lil slice of heaven. They even have a readers nook where you can come & quietly enjoy your book treasure in peace & comfort. It's seriously never ending... I just love it.

I love coming to the free book boxes located in the parking lot! It’s a great spot to find material for collages and art. Found a few college textbooks and books I would’ve had to buy for a class.

For many years, Illiad Bookshop has remained an oasis for book lovers in Los Angeles. The staff is both professional and friendly, with Iliad being a required stop for me. Though now living overseas, I always make sure there's room in my suitcases for the wonderful used book treasures Iliad always has.

Come for the books. Stay for the cats and the reading nooks. Good people. Better cats. Grand (...150 of them, more or less) selection of books. Ever want to see walls, floor to ceilings covered in books? Ever want to see so many books in your book store, they completely line the walls appearing as "wallpaper"? Ever want the Dewey Decimal System back? Well, I can't promise about that last one but they've got some epic wonders and literary journeys for you to explore in this eponymous book store!

The coolest bookstore ever! There’s a parking lot so it’s easy to stop by and hang out. I love the couch and reading area. The cats were sweet and friendly. The store has a good selection of classic literature with unique covers. The selection is always changing so it’s hard to reliably find the book you’re looking for, but you’re guaranteed to always find something great.

So many books, and great quality reads! Staff were all super lovely and very helpful. Also two super cute cats that are very friendly!

This. This is a real book store. Fantastic staff. Look Ole Harlan Ellison himself used to visit and prank call. Do you like bookstores? Do you? Do you love them? And you haven't been here yet? I don't think you love it like you say you do.

If you love used books shops, this is one of those that you don't want to miss! Great selection for every taste possible, combined with the right vibe! And there are cats for those who love them! Used books shops are our regular stops in every city/town we visit, so we've been to quite a few, this one is one of the best.
