My server Robert took care of my order and understood a good cheeseburger should be pair with a good cold beer. Definitely will be making a return trip soon!

My girlfriend is a Packers fans so we went here to watch the Sunday night game New Years Eve. The staff was great and so were the Packers fans that came in. The food was great, we got fried cheese curds and I got the Southern Living burger, pimento cheese and bacon, so good. The building and the bar itself has a nostalgic feel that I cannot put my finger on, if I lived in the area, this would be my hangout.

The Imperial is a great local pub with patient & kind staff, great food, and an environment where everyone can feel welcome and accepted. It's my favorite place to have a drink or a bite after a hard day. Also for the triviaheads out there, they are one of the hardest places to play trivia in the area on Monday nights.

Took my date here. We both had a great time. The servers were attentive, bar tender was skilled, food was fresh and tasty. The homemade pizza rolls filling could use a little improvement but the concept and portion size were definitely a hit for me. I also had a burger and it didn't disappoint. Nice char outside perfect temperature inside. Good work. Will definitely revisit.

One of my favorite new places in Decatur! The food is excellent and many local beers are on tap all the time. The wait can be long sometimes, but the waitstaff is always very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Came here during ATL Burger Week, but wasn't able to try the burger offered. So got the fish sandwich instead w/ baked beans. The fish sandwich was huge, and was excellent. The tartar sauce had great flavor as well. The baked beans were standard, but good. Sat at the bar. Service was okay, but they were completely packed & slammed with large parties on the outdoor patio. Furthermore, they had a small amount of staff to get orders cooked, so I understand. I'll come back. The menu is decent, but not too diverse.

The waiter was kind and the service was quick. My salad was moldy hiding under chicken and the toppings. I did receive a refund but I winded up feeling I’ll and throwing up later. I don’t feel this is a place for Poc to come hang out.

I came here to get a moment to myself and it was very chill. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and listening to the music. Everyone there was friendly and the service was great. I didn’t eat though because the kitchen was closed, but I do plan to visit again. Also, wine is 50% off on Wednesdays!

Service is fine and I like the neighborhood ambiance. New grill cooks though and you notice it. Lemon pepper chicken wings almost inedible. Stick with the burgers. BTW, Lemon pepper chicken used to be delicious!

Great neighborhood pub vibe on a November Friday evening. Food was terrific, the beer was cold, the room was warm. We canceled plans for a more expensive dinner elsewhere to soak it all in for another couple hours. It was clear staff and owner knew their customers, and vice versa. We're less interested in food service as theater and increasingly searching for places to call home. Could not have had a more joyous evening in the company of family and friends. We were at home.

Great draft beer. Love the atmosphere. The staff and owner aim to please. My favorite Happy Hour Spot!

Cool night spot to grab brew. Bartender was cool and gave great options for beers. I only had two but I'll def return to try out food next time.

Wanted to stay close to home and a neighbor suggested this as we were in the mood for a burger and Bourbon The the old brick building is great and the patio was awesome as it was a nice evening. Our wait staff will not win Miss Congenital as she had the personality of a wet sock on a cold day. When we walked in she just looked at me and didn't say a word or comment what the sitting sit was. In a Short staffing situation I give restaurants a break but they weren't busy. She ain't nice. The hubby got a burger and broccoli and I had the Chickpea Burger which was excellent with a side of green beans which still had a great snap and was grilled with soy sauce. Chickpea burger had a great crust and was larger than I expected. Hubby didn't comment on his food which meant it was adequate. The Manhattan's were good especially seeing they were just 10 bucks. Would go back again on a week night, but I only in a pinch. Would maybe come back on a week night, but only in a pinch.

I don't come here too often but when I do I am often pleasantly surprised. It's a small and fairly typical menu but the food and drink don't disappoint. The ambiance is great and so are the people. They have good happy hour specials at a time when many people have done away with these (half off beers I think before 6). We sat outside and enjoyed some creature comfort, lagunitas, and root beers for the kids. Food came super quickly. The pretzel is huge and comes out piping hot. The accompanying cheese dip is good but very heavy and less appealing over time. The wings though were excellent and worth the temporary price increase. They come with a lot of meat on the bones and the sauces are tasty. I also got the homemade bbq brisket sandwich (also generous portion and pretty good) and sides of baked beans and fries. Fries taste homemade and are good even without ketchup. For an affordable night out and if you are looking for good bar fare I'd come here again.

I actually had a very fun time at the imperial for after work drinks. We unknowingly went on trivia night. Definitely added fun to dinner. I thought the menu could've had more options; it was a bit limiting. I ordered a grilled pimento cheese sandwich. The pimento inside the sandwich was still cold. I was looking for a melted pimento cheese sandwich, so for me, it missed the mark. The waitress recommended a jalapeño beer, which was the highlight of the night. I also hate that I had to get up and deliver my answers during trivia. But I'd come back, but I'd skip trivia.

We've been to the Imperial on many occasions, but I have not yet written a review. Here it goes... Last month, we walked over on a Wed evening for the 1/2-off wine bottle special. Didn't need parking, but there is a lot adjacent to the restaurant, and there is street parking in the vicinity. We were able to score a high-top table near the bar area without a wait, and the server and bartenders were friendly. We nibbled on a kale salad, and tried a cup of the soup of the day, with a bowie Q sandwich. Really liked the kale salad and the sandwich. Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant is calm enough to have a conversation and hear what is being said. The bar is full, and the menu has enough variety to have something for most folks. Lastly, the patio is great on a nice night. Check it out...

Recommended by my daughter and son-in-law, we went there the other night and really enjoyed the beer. They have quite a selection and variety we should satisfy anyone. Three of us had different types of burgers and we found them to be all very good. If you order it well done, it will be well done. My wife got the chicken fingers and they were good too. The only thing I would avoid is the "charred" broccoli. It is exactly what it sounds like. They take partially cooked broccoli and char the tops. It really wasn't very good at all. If they are reading this post, I would recommend simply roasting it and not trying to give this singed taste. It was more burnt than cooked. However the beer and the burgers were very good and the service was excellent. We will go back and just avoid that side item.

Nice staff. Glad they were able to stay open during Covid. Our tabs were a complete disaster. Tried to pay several times. Was told my tab was added to my friends and she had paid. So I owe her the money. After I left another friend was given my tab? He paid it? So I owe him the money tooooo?? Went back and was told there was another tab open from another friend. Called him and he had paid cash. One Waitress running around hugging all customers. No boundaries even though it was uncomfortable and dangerous. Tables were spaced out that was nice. Great broccoli salad .

This is a great neighborhood bar & restaurant in Decatur. If you live in the area, it's definitely worth a shot! This was my husband's and my first visit and really enjoyed how low key the whole experience was for a Friday night. Service was great, honestly. I wish I had taken down our server's name, she was so cool. It's one of those sit yourself type of places but the staff is paying attention of newcomers so we didn't wait long until someone came over to give us a menu and walk us through what was available. There's also seating in the patio and if you're lucky you can snag a propane heater for those cold nights. We ordered the pretzel with cheese sauce to share and it was so good, kind of reminded me of being at a fair (something about fried doughy goodness always brings those memories). For the main event we had the chicken Philly and southern dog with pimento cheese and bacon, each came with a side. The meal was tasty, no frills, just simple good cooking. Really looking forward to going back and trying out their burgers!

Great bar, best burgers in Decatur and they are NFL friendly. Packers bar but they also show Falcons games.

This seems like a locals only bar. The bartender and cook dominated the bar with their banter and the bartender seems to think patrons enjoy her off-key vocals. When I cashed out the bartender said (not asked) "together yes?" And handed me the check. Any seasoned bartender knows each stool is treated like a table, one bill per stool. I said seperate the bills and she gave me attitude. There were 6 peole in the bar and it took her less than 30 seconds to split the bill Im glad she was safely back on her phone as we walked out.

Everything I want out of a neighborhood pub. Super cozy, the staff was friendly and the service was excellent. We got burgers and some apps. The food is very good quality for the price. Nothing fancy, but excellent comfort food in a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again!

This is a great weeknight spot if you are a local (or in town for a bit)! The atmosphere is very lowkey. My favorite is sitting on the patio where dogs are welcome (the twinkle lights at night make it fun). "The beer we got" is cheap and makes a fun time if you split a pitcher with friends, however the other beers are pricer. The food is decent. I included a photo of the pizza rolls we ate. Apparently, they sell out of these quickly because of how popular they are. In my opinion, it wasn't really a pizza roll (there was hardly any cheese), but it was still really good nonetheless!! Overall, I'd say the Imperial is a great neighborhood hangout!

Food and service are excellent! Servers and other staff are friendly and give good recommendations. Awesome trivia on Tuesday and Monday. Parking is easy. Missing out if you haven't been!

Great local hangout with delicious burgers, local brews, and friendly staff. They have a number of seating options including inside restaurant style, by the bar (if you are trying to catch a game) or outside on the patio (don't worry, there is also a tv if you are trying to catch a game while enjoying the nice weather). The burgers were very good and they also a run a number of specials. Worth checking it for a laid back dinner, friendly atmosphere, and good drinks and pub food.

First, This place is just about a 3/4 mile from the square by Agnes Scott good area. Not bad on the prices of beer or cider. I wanted to try a few things because I like to give the place a couple chances to impress me, so I try a few things on the menu at once. I wish I could say one thing was bad and the rest was good but no I can't. Fucking pimento cheese is first supposed to taste like pimentos are in the dish. Thiers however had no taste of pimentos or cheese for that matter. The saltines that accompanied the dry bowl of pimento cheese were good. How the fuck can you mess up this southern staple. Mushroom swiss burger tasted like a dish rag seasoning was sprinkle on it. It tasted like a earthy soap burger. the poutine didnt taste like gravy or pimento cheese just tasted like wet fries without salt. The cold cucumber soup was ok after salt and pepper was added. ahhhh the mac and cheese, first your spoon is not supposed to stick to your lips as your trying to pull it out of your mouth after depositing the mac in it. It again needed salt and pepper. I love mac and cheese but damnit they couldn't get it right. A bar trying to be a restaurant or a restaurant trying to be a bar. I don't know, but get some new recipes for the food you serve. I sigh, I wanted to say " damn this shit was tasty great place. It was average with just a pinch below average bar food.

The Imperial is a casual neighborhood spot that surprised us with the quality of ingredients. It was obvious that this kitchen only uses high quality ingredients. The burger was juicy, flavorful and done exactly the way I like it. The bacon was crisp and lean. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions and bun were all fresh and contributed to a great tasting burger. The Mac and cheese side dish contained real cheese and it was plentiful. I don't get cinnamon on French fries but the quality and crispness of the fries were very good. Service was slow and nonchalant. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our bill and felt like no one had responsibility for our table. Overall, a good experience and we will be back!

Wow! What a place. Went for a weekday late lunch with my daughter who lives in that neighborhood. The place is small but has character. They serve a great variety of burgers and sandwiches and some great beer. I ordered the Holland burger with Sweet Potato Fries. I could hear the burger sizzle on the grill. The burger was simple, cooked to perfection and stacked well. The fries were freshly fried and plenty. My daughter asked for a beef and chedder sandwich with regular fries and half of it was taken to go. The service is excellent. Overall a fantastic experience!

I was pretty happy with this place. We sat on the patio. I actually got a little sun burn because depending on the time of the day the umbrellas only throw shade on certain seats. They had a good draft beer list and a surprisingly expansive bottle/can offering (Including Natural Light tall boys!). I opted for a 'wrap' which was actually on a grilled pita wrapped in tin foil - much like a gyro. On the inside there were two sections. One was a fully stocked bar with what seemed to be a dedicated group of locals. The second area was a neat dining room area. While it wasn't fancy, I don't agree with the other reviewer that it had a chain restaurant feel. I didn't get that whatsoever. I also don't get any 'not worth the money' comments. I found both the food and drinks to be very reasonable and a few ticks below other Decatur spots.

This neighborhood hideaway is an incredible spot with delicious bites, expert-level cocktails, and fantastic ambience. The stars of the show are the incredible bartenders, Elyse and Angie. They always make me feel completely at home and provide stellar service. They make this one of my favorite Atlanta spots!

I ate lunch at The Imperial today after driving by many times and envying the people chilling out on the patio. Although there was space on the patio, the slight fall chill and wind sent me inside to the bar. The restaurant is bigger and prettier than I expected. This is a good place for groups of 6-8 with the food selection and ability to push tables together. The bar was spare but sufficiently stocked. For a cocktail I had the Look Sharp which is a tequila concoction with rose liquor, bitters, and grapefruit juice. I really liked it and it packed a punch. I started with the pimento cheese - this appetizer has become a favorite of mine, and I really enjoyed The Imperial's version. It's a less creamy pimento cheese, and I prefer that. The serving size is huge - the size of a cup of chili/soup and plenty for two people (see photo!). I ended up taking more than half of it home. I ordered a plain burger but added bacon and American cheese. (Yeah, that's what I did.) The burger was decent - perfect for the price point and cooked at medium as I requested. It was still juicy and had a slight char from the grill that I enjoyed. The tomatoes were fresh and firm, the bacon was crispy, and the cheese was that fake American flavor we all love. For my side I had the cup 'o salad which was filled with large tears of greens which made it awkward to eat but I was glad they didn't skimp on them. The portion sizes were great for me - enough to eat and fill full without worrying about being wasteful because I didn't eat the leftovers. Service was fine; it wasn't crowded but the person working the bar appeared frazzled at times. I felt lucky that I wasn't eating during a busier time. The Imperial isn't fancy food trying to win you over, but it's solid food with a menu that has something for almost everyone (even vegetarians...not sure about vegans though!).

Great food served quickly. After a Grub Hub debacle that left me $50 poorer and starving, we decided to give this place a shot. The food was delicious and ready by the time we drove there to get it. What an inviting looking place. I'm looking forward to going there and enjoying a meal

Lord why does this place exists ? Horrible smell in parking lot mixture of dumpster and oil box. You would not believe of sever quality. Do yourself a favor , don't even get close to this place.

Nice space, convenient, friendly folks, good food, a worthy beer list. The patio might be a nice hangout spot. Burger was above average, if a bit small. Cole slaw might need a kick. Broccoli salad excellent. I'd have rated it higher but for one thing: after we arrived (before 6 PM), sitting at the bar, they cranked the music up to the point it was difficult to carry on a conversation. I think the music is for the staff, because I didn't see any of the customers grooving to the tunes. Particularly not us or the couple of tables with small children.

The Imperial is a gem. Great place to see the sun set, just far enough from downtown Decatur that it's not mobbed 24/7, cheap beer. Both times I've been there was no wait for a party of 2, or party of 4. Parking was easily available. The food is pretty good. I've been here twice and gotten 2 different burgers, both of which were delicious. I'm a sucker for blue cheese so I got the Buffalo Blue. It was tasty but the buffalo sauce was a little mild so it needed some Tabasco. The regular fries were nothing special, but the sweet potato fries were amazing. They also have $2/glass $7/pitcher PBR, which is the price it should be! They also have a good selection of craft beers if you want to pay a little more. Service was excellent. Overall very enjoyable for a simple dinner and a couple beers with friends.

I've been wanting to visit The Imperial since it opened (I live about a 10 minute walk away), and finally I went for the first time tonight! It's honestly exactly what I had envisioned: super warm and welcoming, great food, and relaxed atmosphere. The bartender was super nice. I'm annoyed with myself for not making there sooner. They have trivia on Thursdays, FYI, which just adds to the community vibe. While I was there I got my favorite: the impossible burger (yes, as I type this, all I have to do is type 'impossible' and my phone suggests 'burger'). They also have fresh cut fries, which were delicious (brought some home). Overall, if you watched Cheers or Murphy Brown go to Phil's and wanted what those characters have, Oakhurst/Decatur has it in The Imperial.

It's sad since I've driven by The Imperial several times without noticing it, and it took ATL Burger Week to get me to check it out. My friend and I went one weeknight, and the place was full of patrons. Not sure if this is typical or it was due to Burger Week. Since it was a mild evening, we lucked out and snagged a table on the patio after being told by a staffer we could sit anywhere. Like Brick Store, we didn't seem to have one dedicated server but a rotation of various people who were attending to us, some a little more outgoing than others. The Damn Gouda burger wasn't bad on its own but paled a little in comparison to subsequent Burger Week burgers I consumed. But for $5, you can't complain. It certainly was a messy tower of beef, fried onions and pickles, plenty of bacon, and gouda cheese. The toasted bun was a nice touch. Because of all the burger in the bacon, it was a good thing we didn't add said item to the La Poutine de Georgia ($7.25) then. The poutine was my favorite aspect of the meal. I love pimento cheese so adding it to gravy-laden fries is brilliant. My friend and I happily noshed on the poutine while waiting for the burgers to arrive. Parking: There is a free parking lot behind the restaurant, with spaces on the eastern side. And I saw a cat in the lot! Also, lots of street spaces available. Maybe not mindblowing food, but a strong local vibe pervades at this Oakhurst bar and grill.

This is a neighborhood bar, and a funky one at that. If you are expecting something different, you will be let down. If you are looking for a comfortable place to have a beer and some pub-grub, this is pretty all right. Having just moved from So Cal, I wanted to find a comfortable place to walk to so I can watch baseball and sip decent beer. I tried the other places in Oakhurst - which are all OK - but this place is my favorite of the local selection. Nice folks working there, VERY relaxed atmosphere, decent food and beer. Do I think that their tap selection is JUST A BIT too heavy on overly-hopped beers? YES. Do I understand that they have to offer what sells? YES. I get that I'm not the average beer drinker today (I loath IPAs) - so I won't gripe overmuch. They always have Guinness up, and usually something else I'll like, so I'm good there. And they offer the bets Trivia game on Monday night that I've encountered. So go and have fun - just don't walk in expecting a swanky, upscale experience. It's good just the way it is.

Honestly, I have no words to describe how good this place was. I would rate this place 6 out 5 Stars! The Mac attack was soooooo delicious! I would say one of their most popular and best burgers! My friend had the Mac attack while I had the old fashion burger with extra cheese and you can always add toppings of your own! I also had the Mac and cheese it was super good and really really cheesy which I'm sure those who are cheese lovers would def enjoy this place! Loved the service and the location. We sat in the patio with pretty lights! Great to take pics and a really casual chill environment! Def recommend to go here!

Packers bar in the heart of Atlanta! My wife and I tried the Imperial for the first time tonight and were happy we did. The Packers were playing their divisional playoff game that drew an energetic crowd to watch throughout the restaurant/ bar. There's a variety of craft/ domestic beers to choose from that would satisfy any pallet. My wife ordered the traditional burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The sweet potato fries were delectable with cinnamon and brown sugar that left you craving more with each bite. My Cuban sandwich was delicious that paired perfectly with their hand cut fries. Check this place out the next time you're looking in the area!

Been to The Imperial twice now. It is a great Decatur spot due to easy parking (lots and street parking). There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They have heaters outside when it gets chilly. The menu has a nice selection of salads, burgers, and sandwiches. They also have some other items. Look out for the specials! On my first visit, I had the special burger of the week. You can't get that all the time.. why not?! I can't recall the toppings at this time! But it was pretty good. On my most recent visit, I was debating between a burger (again) or the Flounder sandwich. Though our waitress doesn't like fish, she said alot of people come in just to order that sandwich. Ok, I will give it ago. I got it with a side salad. They give you a HUGE piece of fish on the sandwich. Only half of it would fit one the bun if you wanted to really eat it as a sandwich. So I cut it - ate half with my fork and the rest on the sandwich. It was a decent sandwich, but I don't get what the hubbub is. I would get a burger next time. The side salad is nicely sized as a size. Overall, decent food that is served up quickly by nice staff.

It was a warm spring evening in Atlanta and Woo Hoo! Atlanta Burger Week! (atlburgerweek dot com - a yearly event that offers up $5 specialty burgers around town) My 7 friends and I had 50+ places to choose from and we decided on The Imperial on 4/26/17. Because it had a big PIMENTO CHEESE BALL! More on that burger in a minute.... here's some other important news you need to know first. Happy Hour 4-6 weekdays: really good specials on shots and beers. $2.25 basic domestics (Bud, Miller, etc.); $3 pints of "IPA of the moment" And some snacky things too, I believe, but didn't pay attention to because I knew a big burger was fixin' to be ordered. Just make sure you watch the clock: 6pm means 6pm! Wednesdays: Wine Wednesdays! 1/2 Price bottles of wine every Wednesday The Parking Situation: Free! There's a rough (unpaved) little lot in back that actually can fit a good number of cars if people don't park like idiots. When they do, consider back in the neighborhood on Mead Road if you can't snag a place out front on College. Or take MARTA to the East Lake station and walk three blocks east. We manage to grab a spot on the outdoor patio, which is lovely. They have enough awnings and umbrellas so you don't have to melt out there in direct sunlight. We figured that it might get busy because of Burger Week and it did. But we went about 6pm and it didn't start getting too crazy until an hour or so later. The food was delicious. Have I mentioned the big PIMENTO CHEESE BALL? All of us had the burger offering, which was The Pimento Smash Burger (description in photo). Burger, fries and a "What We Have" beer (also a standard staple on the menu that changes up periodically) = $7.50. Quite the deal. I can't speak on anything else or their every day sort of offerings, so I'll have to make a return visit on a normal day. If their food is anything like this special offering though, I'll be super jazzed to go back. The patrons there were also lovely. Everyone was very nice, conversations were had across tables, everyone seemed to be in a very good mood. One couple even shared a glass of their wine with us when we oohed and aahed over the label and they decided we needed to taste it. The staff was a little less friendly, though: not very conversational, and I'm not sure I saw our server smile once. She had a little bit of an attitude and she did mess up our tabs at the end (though this being a busy week-long event, I'm totally willing to give her a pass -- we were able to sort things out among ourselves). The only other mishap was a friend having part of her beer spilled on her by the owner who delivered it. I think it would have been nice had she received that for free since it was quite a spill all over her shirt and jeans (I assume the owner has the ability to make those decisions). But of course that was just an accident too. And the big PIMENTO CHEESE BALL made up for any unhappiness!

Nice little neighborhood joint. Every time we've been, the service has been great. Servers are pretty attentive to making sure you are happy. It's pretty standard pub fare, so don't expect anything to blow your mind, but they are consistent. I've had many of the sandwiches and appetizers, and so far they've been pretty solid. Can't speak for the burgers. Patio is dog friendly. Beer list is extensive, fair, and ever rotating. Always a good game on the outdoor TV (Atlanta United, Braves, etc.).

My dining experience occurred during Burger Week on the second day. Upon arriving it was unclear as to whether we should sit ourselves or not as there was no signage. After a few minutes or standing awkwardly awaiting some sort of instruction as to what to do, I went to ask a waitress what to do after she had finished speaking with a table - only to be ignored. Our burgers arrived about 45 minutes after we sat. The burger was decent but completely smothered in Gouda, so it was hard to distinguish what we were tasting. If you're looking for a place to sop up what you've been drinking all day, this is the place for you. Anything past that, you may wanna adjust your expectations.

For living less than a mile away just across the tracks, it sure took me a while to try this spot. Thanks to ATL Burger Week, we gave ourselves an excuse to come out here when a friend visited. The pimiento cheese smash burger was a cool concept, and tasted good enough- nothing crazy, but solid. The sweet potato fries had a bit too much sugar on it, and the poutine paled in comparison to what one would get at The General Muir. It was obvious that the place was packed out a bit more than usual, resulting in slow beer/food service, and sometimes the exasperated waiter. Understandable, and excused this time around. I can definitely see the draw of the outdoor patio just off the street for those who want to catch the sky at dusk with a reasonably good beer selection at your disposal.

The Imperial was a pain to locate - with no signage in an obscure location, navigation was just barely enough to get me here. The bar is unlike anything I've encountered thus far in the Decatur area. Alas, I do not say this as a good thing. Decatur is known as a vibrant hipster scene peppered with hip restaurants that feature creative, yet approachable, cocktails and foods (that generally are amazing). In comparison, The Imperial feels rather... pedestrian. The beer selection was adequate, but not impressive. The atmosphere felt horribly disjointed - rickety wooden tables and chairs, stained glass window accents, old brick, eclectic artwork, and an odd floor layout to fill the space. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt (since they opened not too long ago) - but even then, I can only go so far. We weren't served by any one waiter or waitress - just whoever so happened to be walking by at a particular time. Service was sloppy. When we ordered our food, my wife asked for no tomato or pickles on her Roast Beef Po' Boy. Guess what she bit into when she got her sandwich? Yup, pickles and tomato. My wife reports that the Roast Beef Po' Boy, after removing those pesky pickles and tomatoes, was only "ok" - average at best. I ordered the Buffalo Bleu Burger. It too, was only "ok" - I scarfed it down alright, but you won't see me adding it to any "best burgers in Metro-ATL" lists anytime soon. The ONE thing I can do to sing The Imperial's praises is tell you about their "La Poutine De Georgia". A-MAZING. They take fries (which are pretty good on their own), ladle on some po' boy gravy, and top it with pimento cheese. For an additional $1.50, you can get it with bacon. Do it. The bacon is entirely worth it. Yes, it is a heart attack in a bowl - but a guilty pleasure worth having. It's too bad that the poutine didn't make up for the overall lousy experience. With so many other restaurants in the area that have their act together, I don't really see myself coming back here.

They can put beer in a glass. Patio area is nice. Building and interior have character. We got tacos, Philly cheesesteak, wings, and poutine. All were pretty weak. If you want better pub food go nearby to Thinking Man. We had great food there. Ale Yeah a hundred feet away has better craft beer. And if you want to go fancy go to Wahoo.

I ordered a salad and they were missing 2 of the main ingredients. They brought it out to me and didn't even tell me they were out. I had to flag down the waitress to ask about the missing ingredients. She went back and checked and said they were out of 1 of the 2 missing ingredients. No apology and no discount for serving up a meal that wasn't complete. And if you can't even get a salad right that's saying a lot about this place. I'm giving 2 stars because what I did eat was good.

Don't come here for trivia if you want to enjoy yourself. Obscure topics with obscure questions and obscure answers. Food was decent and good price but the service was abysmal. Might be good for lunch. maybe.

World's slowest service and then bill inaccuracy, but by that point, we just needed to get going so whatever. You can have dogs on the patio for those of you who care. The server was friendly, just not on-point. The food was also kind of weird. I got the beef and cheese sandwich with imperial red sauce, which was described as a bbq sauce of sorts. The sandwich was served open face with a HUGE unappealing blob of cheese on top of the roast beef (which was of decent quality) and tasted very bland. This imperial red sauce was barely there. It needed to be the other way around - more red sauce, less (and different) cheese. The sweet potato fries had cinnamon sugar on them and were tasty. Pork rind appetizer tasted fresh, but bland. Fried pickles were fine. Just not very impressed.

Yep, been here plenty of times and always enjoy it. We continue to like the $3 off burgers on Monday but we don't mind paying full price either. The $3 IPA rotates monthly and is worth checking it out from 4 - 6 PM or 10 PM to close each day. We had Sunday brunch recently- tried the ham & cheese omelette as well as The All American (eggs, grits, bacon, pancake and toast). Mmmmmm goood! Would I go back? You bet!

I have eaten there three times, and the third time was the... uh... whatever the opposite of charm is, that's what it was. Curse? It was like a curse. A curse from Sauron himself. There is no way that I am ever going back to this place. If anyone ever asks my opinion about this place, what would come out my mouth would make Andrew "Dice" Clay blush. The service is fine, the room is cramped and weird, the outside area is good, and there's a little bit of free parking. None of that makes up for how sick the food made me, my child, and at least 15 others on the same day. Stay away.

Love this place! Had the pimento cheese and the fried chicken sandwich w/baked beans; all awesome. Others had the fish, which was good as well. Oh, and great politics :)

These guys are doing it right by the diverse quality of drink and delicious food. Really, really great cheeseburger, pot roast sub, philly steak sub, etc. Mac n cheese gives Steinbeck's mac n cheese some serious competition. But regardless of food n drink, its the atmosphere. The place is on the smallish size, but come warm days, you will find it ever so difficult to leave their patio once the warm temps come back. Service is trending to the positive though they are still establishing best service methods. I say this bc a bud of mine got items mixed up on his bill. Bottom line, one of the owners took the time to review and basically said "I owe you $9. Let me make it up to you." Wait staff is friendly and they will try to take care of you, but I do foresee challenges when the crowds really ramp up. But in my heart of hearts I truly believe they will make the necessary adjustments given their infancy to the hood. That said, go to the Imperial. Then go again and again. If you're off the wagon, get back on by getting your belly full and order a club soda. If you choose to stay off, order a round for you and your friends, but make sure to call your sponsor after you've tipped the wait service.

I've been to this bar dozens of times, and I've always had great service and great food. I'm not sure why other people are knocking off a star because the food isn't that interesting. This is a neighborhood/pub place, not some kind of fusion-y experiment arthouse kitchen. They (mostly) serve things you've eaten before, and they make them all really well.

I ordered the Kale Salad (which I've had before). This week, 2/13/19, the kale was whole, thrown in a bowl, lots of it, not cut or marinated in dressing. You can imagine how bitter and dry it was, topped with blackened chicken. The chickpeas that we're in the salad were hard and old, and the chicken was very tough; Extra dressing didn't even help the dry and bitter kale. Worst salad I've ever had! I was with other people so I didn't complain. I will never go back. The first time I ate there, it was decent and served like it should've been. Not going back. Very disappointed!
