It's not the most affordable, but is a decent location in Waikiki - quite a few shops and restaurants within walking distance. Valet parking only, unfortunately. Wish they would let you know that they pop in every so many days to pick up your trash. We didn't need or want housekeeping during our stay so we weren't expecting any staff to come in. Good thing we weren't in the shower or anything. Room's a little squishy since they're trying to accommodate upwards of 6 people (in our suite). Very inconveniently and randomly placed furniture, but good thing we're small/skinny people and it was only the 2 of us, lol. Very tight quarters if there's more people. Room was clean and nice otherwise. We didn't have the greatest view, but it wasn't a big deal for us. We could see a peek of the beach. Noise is interesting (it is Waikiki after all) so not for light or early sleepers. The master bedroom area was always freezing for me (which is probably perfect for others - my guess is it was around 70F and I freeze at 75F) and we couldn't figure out how to make it warmer/turn the AC off. The AC would turn off in the living room area, though. Great fitness center! Nice pool on the roof though we didn't partake (or the sauna).

2 bedroom suite was great for our family. On the 24th floor we had great ocean views. One of the bedrooms was huge and had 2 queen beds and a bathroom with bath. The other bedroom was tiny and just for a queen bed with no space to even walk around the bed. The lounge area, kitchen and other bathroom were fine. This hotel is in a fabulous location and has a Denny’s and huge ABC store off the lobby. The front desk staff and the concierge guys were very nice and friendly. The furnishings are straight out of the 80s but beds were comfy and the price is fabulous. Will definitely stay again

The Imperial resort is a large resort located in the heart of Waikiki. It is just steps from the beach. The rooms are well equipped. The air conditioning works great and the bed are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked as well. The pool is a bit small but adequate for a quick plunge. ||The only issue we had was when the murphy bed is in its down position, the legs of the bed stick out beyond the mattress so hitting your toes/foot on the bed post can be a problem. Just be careful. Other than this small issue, the hotel is great. ||Parking is convenient although its a bit pricey at $30 a day. However, all things considered, it is well worth it.

Google
The Imperial Resort was an absolute 10/10 for our first family trip from Australia to Hawaii. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible friendly, welcoming and so easy to communicate with. Every team member we encountered genuinely seemed to enjoy working there, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Our room was fantastic, and the facilities were a huge win for the kids. The pool, spa, hot tubs, sauna, and gym kept everyone entertained and made our stay feel like a true holiday retreat. And the location… unbeatable. Right in the heart of Waikiki with everything at our doorstep including one of the best ABC Stores in all of Waikiki right in the same building. The Imperial exceeded our expectations in every way, and when we return to Hawaii, we will 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!

Google
Yes the rooms are slightly dated but the location, amenities, service, and price are unbeatable. We stayed for a week with our toddler and would definitely come back. The location is perfect for families in my opinion. Beach access around the corner, restaurants and shopping galore. The staff are lovely, too.

Google
The Imperial Hawaii Resort was an excellent family hotel choice for Honolulu. Staff is knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. The ocean is an easy two block walk from the hotel, with a beach that is safe for kids. They allow you to use their designated towels if you like, and even have a place to wash sand off before you go back to your room. Easy valet parking, ABC store on one side with groceries, and Denny’s with a good kid menu and very considerate waitstaff on the other. There are also lots of upscale restaurants, bars and coffee options in easy Walking distance. Free hula and lei making classes were a big hit with our kids. Rooms are clean and comfortable with kitchen options. This facility and location made it easy for us to pack a lot of fun into our short three day visit.

Google
Convenient location hotel in central Waikiki. This hotel is one block from beach access with lots of other amenities around it. ABC store & Denny's attached to it. Everything is within walking distance. I've got mobility issues and all sidewalks are wheelchair access too. Hotel is a little dated but for the price and convenience compared to a Sheraton etc it did the job. Having a fridge, sink, microwave and some with a stove was very helpful. They supplied all the bath towels, paper towels and cloths for dishes. If you need sugar, salt & pepper then purchase it at the ABC store. We also had a small balcony. We would stay here again due to the location, cheaper than other hotels and access to other amenities around.

Google
Great location block from the beach in the middle of the action. Parking $35 day. Rooms and lobby are very outdated. Furniture was old. Our 2 bathrooms were cruise ship size as was the balcony. The sleeper sofas was unusable so we had 2 couples in one bedroom (2 beds). Halls are actually creepy as was the laundry room. The real disappointment was the pool being closed all week. Then they cancelled the activities for the week as well. I’d never go back.

Yelp
I enjoy coming to this hotel in all and it's always a great location and great place to stay with a short walking distance to the beach. I'm happy that the location was renovated with new carpet. One of the hot tubs were dirty and couldn't be used so we had to wait our turn for the main one in the entrance area. That was fine but those hot tubs should of been checked and fixed. All the days we were there thurs-sun it stayed unfixed and dirty. I also noticed that at night in the studio rooms, you have to keep the bathroom door open at night because the door won't close if the Murphy bed is down. That means giving no privacy to the other people inside the room. Now you constantly have to get up to lift to close the door. That issue needs to be fixed accordingly because everyone deserves privacy when entering a bathroom and it shouldn't have to be left open in the middle of the night to pee because the door doesn't fit to close. The first night our water wasn't working in our room so we had cold showers, maintenance checked it out and confirm it wasn't working they didn't understand why. Instead of moving we agree to just wait till the morning for them to look at it because they put in a work order. The morning time came same problem but when we came back in the afternoon the problem was solved and water was hot, other then that everything was great up until leaving when we encountered the rudeness with the lady at valet parking being rude to her employee who was helping us. As a manager your held to a higher standard when performing your duties when clocked in and your attitude reflects regardless if your on the clock or off the clock. Lynette however it's spelled that's a manager where are your morals. Should you be retrained on your work ethics's because that behavior was unacceptable and then when I brought it to the front desk attention that someone outside (a lady was rude) which at the times didn't realize it was management acting that way, he's like oh she's the manager, I'm like so you tellin me that gives her the right to act that way because of her title? Let that nonchalant response you gave me kick in because if you think so that's why she treat y'all that way because you accept it. Her being a manager doesn't give her the right to act any way towards her workers, her workers shouldn't be apologizing for her actions acting that way in front of us especially when he knew she was wrong. You don't snatch keys and tell him go especially if you see him talking to a hotel guest who came for their car. You don't rush someone off have some respect. Your held to a higher standard to treat people with respect and upper management that's above her needs to hold her accountable for her actions because if it happens in front of guest then it happens frequently and no one does nothing because they prolly scared. People need to understand that what you think may be nothing is something to someone else, so as managers, you need to remember that your status doesn't give you permission to act like you better then anyone but to treat everyone equally and with respect at all times. I enjoy this hotel and the workers is always polite and respectful and never had a issue but to see the manager act that way makes you wonder if she's like that all the time to her employees and if she is ask them to do a anonymous survey to get their input because it's unacceptable behavior.

Yelp
LOVE this place! My family and I have been coming here for years since my parents became timeshare owners in 1983. That's a long time! As you can imagine, we have many memories staying at The Imperial, even with the third and fourth generations of family. I've seen the evolution from what it once was in the 80's to what it is now. Year after year, though it's not perfect, I have seen many improvements in recent years. First, location is prime. It's close enough to the beach to where it's easy to get to. I LOVE waking up early, walking to the beach, and watching every sunrise during my visit. The ocean is close. You can get a great view from the penthouse suite on the 26th floor. They even serve free coffee early in the morning. I believe only certain people have access to that suite, except when there are events like lei-making, hula lessons, mai tais & live music, and even Sunday service. They even have massage chairs in the penthouse suite which are so worth it. I liked it best when they had the chairs situation in the main room with an oceanview. However, during my last visit, the chairs were in the back with limited view. There are other amenities like an exercise room and a pool, though I've never taken advantage of them. They do have a coin-operated laundry mat on the 2nd floor. You can buy detergent and dryer sheets there as well. And they have a foot wash area in the garage on the first floor. Another PLUS is that outside the front door, there is an ABC Store. This particular location is especially better than the others because they have a DELI with extensive food choices at the back of the store. They have sandwiches, and daily rice specials, like prime Rib Loco Moco, Teriyaki, and Fried Chicken. They have fresh fruit, and most everything you might need to cook in your kitchenette upstairs. They even have Dole soft serve and Spicy Ahi Inari Bombs. Yay! They just need Portuguese Sausage and fresh garlic to make garlic fried rice upstairs in your room. Save your receipts. If you spend $100 or more, you get a free gift like a reusable bag, a mug, or a calendar. They also have gifts for $300, $500, and $700 in receipts. Great place. Great location. Great memories over the years, even decades, with my family.

Yelp
I am writing this review of the "The Imperial Hawaii Resort" from the perspective of a timeshare owner who was able to book a one-week reservation via an "exchange". I mention this because I am sure you can book a hotel accommodation in this same facility. Based on some observable details, I believe the structure was designed / built in the 1960s. However, the facility as a whole is incredibly well maintained; and I am sure they follow a structured modernization / refresh schedule. Location :: The location of this resort is ideal. If you want to go to the beach, the resort is a short walk to Waikiki beach. If you want to eat or shop, the situs is adjacent to Beach Walk; Royal Hawaiian Center; and walkable to many other locations along Kalakaua Avenue. Parking :: The only parking option is valet parking, with unlimited in-out privileges. They have a daily rate, and a discount for a week. The valet desk is staffed 24 hrs. The attendants are friendly and act as quickly as possible--but there are occasional surges in activity that create back-ups. Registration :: The front desk is staffed 24 hrs. The registration process was fast and efficient. The staff was friendly, and at check in, they provided a very thorough orientation explaining housekeeping options, towel exchanges, replenishment of consumables, and sponsored activities on site. Room :: This resort has five different room options, with different floorplans. In my case, I got an "Ohia Suite". This is a studio unit with one bath--approximately 350 sq ft. Because it has a double Murphy (pull-down) bed and a queen sofa bed in the living room, it can sleep four people. The mini kitchen has a coffee maker, convection microwave, toaster and compact refrigerator. Housekeeping is doing a great job. I am sure that the rooms at this resort see a high occupancy rate. While the room decor is mildly dated, the room was clean and well maintained. The room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. It had a nice ocean view, and some city view. The wi-fi, the TV, the A/C--all performed well. The building has a small rooftop swimming pool and gym. The laundry room has washers and dryers which accept coin or credit card. Personal opinion ~ As mentioned, the room did not have a standard bed. It had a double Murphy pull down bed and a queen sofa pull out. When the Murphy bed was deployed, you couldn't open/close the bathroom door freely. For these reasons, I feel the room was small. But I'm not going to deduct from my overall rating. As a solo traveler, I use the room for sleeping and bathing. In this context, this particular floorplan was sufficient. I can see it being adequate for a couple. It would be cramp for a family of four. I wouldn't recommend it for four adults.

Yelp
Do not go here if you are disabled person and especially if you are an American with disabilities and you have a service animal to help you with your disability. The manager is completely inhospitable and downright mean about service animals and with his behavior towards a disabled person. His gruff and and rude behavior towards me almost caused me to have an episode in relation to my disability. I am fortunate enough that I did not suffer an episode and did not have to call 911 due to the way he treated me But I can tell you that that manager almost caused me to completely collapse due to his lack of discretion ( in the middle of the lobby on a very busy day) and his unprofessional treatment of a visitor to the hotel. It was also an extremely embarrassing situation for me and to my friend who was a guest of the hotel. It still traumatizes me when I think back about this frightful encounter.

Yelp
Good location by beach. Clean room the Bar if you get a chance to visit it on a Friday night is a 10/10. Great view and reasonable pricing. The facility is pretty outdated and could use some TLC but the value was decent in regards to the location. Staff were friendly with exception to the lady in house keeping.

Yelp
My expectations were on par with what I was expecting (first timer to HI here). Arrived 3 hrs early and room wasn't ready until an hr before check in time (4pm). Rooms are older but very clean and quiet. They're a cross between an apartment and a hotel. Views are amazing depending on which location you get and come with a small balcony. We had an issue with the kitchen sink backing up but maintenance quickly came when called upon. Valet parking is only available (35.00 daily) and no public parking close by that I could see. Parking attendants are very friendly and efficient though. If you can get by without a vehicle and staying within the area I'd highly recommend not renting a vehicle as congestion is a big issue in addition to heavy traffic.

Yelp
Aloha I gave a review in 2019 and now were in 2025!. This weekend I am set to go! Everything i said about this great place, location and investment in a timeshare is still true. Even better. Total renovation of units continuously. I have rented other suites for my guests. They were so impressed!. Service and kind people every where you are in the Hotel and great accommodation's. Discounts at a few great restaurants nearby. The Owners Lounge on the 27th floor is so enjoyable and my guests love to run up there to check things out, play pool and enjoy the scenery. It is awesome. All these years I have gone to church on Sunday in the Owner Lounge. Pastor Mark is a true friend of mine. Mahalo and Aloha...

Yelp
I cannot say enough about our stay here. We had a lovely studio rental with a balcony. The resort is right on the corner of Lewers Street across from Roys. A very short walk to Waikiki Beach. I've seen other reviews saying the decor is dated. It's cozy, beachy, and very clean. We had a small kitchen and could buy groceries next door at ABC. We were within walking distance of shopping, dining, local attractions. We had a rental car but there are several local shuttles and tours that are accessible. Everyone was so very kind and helped make us feel welcome. The pool and sauna were very well maintained. We had access to the owners unit and were able to see fireworks and amazing sunsets. We will definitely be back to stay again. Mahalo for a great stay!

Yelp
What a dope hotel. The hospitality, the customer service, the receptionist the valet everyone was super cool and really really nice to us. Thank you. Imperial Hawaiian resort we will be back.

Yelp
This is a great hotel. My room was clean has a full size kitchen and a view of the ocean. It's a block from the beach, right on Lewers street and walking distances from shops and restaurants. They have It has great customer service and really nice staff. There's also velvet parking which is great they are really quick and always have a great attitude. The hotel has an ABC store right underneath which is nice of you need any last minute items. I'm definitely coming back here again.

Patricia N.

Yelp
Omg, it was an awesome experience there. I can't wait to come back. The Imperial hotel is located in the right place in Honolulu.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is okay. It's not bad but it's not five stars. The staff is nice but it definitely could use some updating. It is not a luxury resort but it is family friendly. It has a rooftop pool on the 27th floor and two outdoor regular above ground spas on the 3rd floor by the sauna which is honestly a little strange to me. Due to covid they don't do housekeeping but you can bring them your soiled towels or linens in exchange for clean ones on the 2nd floor. Also a little strange, if not inconvenient. However the location is nice as is the view from our balcony. There is a dennys in the hotel and an ABC store as well. We are in walking distance to the beach and a Starbucks as well as some other food and shopping locations (depending on your definition of walking distance).

Yelp
We booked a partial ocean view on the 22nd floor and were pleased with the room, which came with a few perks. The hotel is attached to an ABC store, which we visited a few times, and is across the street from Roy's Hawaiian, which we enjoyed. The people who checked us in were friendly. The only annoyance was sometimes having to wait in line for an elevator, as only one party would travel at any given time

Yelp
Lately, Due to the Covid19 Pandemic,I've been so miserable not being able to travel and this has been the longest not traveling, so I've been doing more staycations, just to clear my mind and also to spend time with my family. When I saw Imperial Hawaii Resort popped up during my search on Interval International ( a time share exchange) during the Thanksgiving weekend which was perfect, it was a short work week and also my son's B-day. After checking out the photo & reviews, I booked my staycation. I'll give up my week at Ko'olina, never know til you give it a try. I always exchange my week for Ko'olina but this time we will check out Imperial. When doing a time share exchange,Do not compare Imperial Hawaii Resort to Marriott Ko'olina, staying at Imperial is very different but main thing my family I had a great time and we had great relaxing much needed staycation. Important Notes, It is VALET Parking only here, parking is $20. per day or $100. for the week. We stayed for a full week so I opt for weekly parking rate of $100. Although I don't get charge for parking at Ko'olina, I hate having to pay for parking here. I had to double check on room taxes and if I had to pay any additional fees for staying here. If you do an exchange via Interval, it is room tax, parking, and tips for valet service. Regarding Valet parking, I usually don't do Valet but when I forgot to grab my bag in the trunk, I walked with the staff to the car, I can see why this hotel is valet only. The parking spaces are super tiny and limited. Valet staff are on top of it, they are quick, friendly and work hard. They do get busy. The next morning I thought it would be awhile for valet to get my car so I walked over to Starbucks to get my coffee, my car was already ready so the staff had to repark the car again. *note, they are quick so don't try to squeeze in anything like I did. Lol. Please don't block the entrance when dropping off your car, as this is what I did. Can you tell I am a newbie when it comes to valet. I was happy to be on the 26th floor with partial ocean view, We got the Banyan room which is one bedroom, one bath, doesn't come with a kitchen but just the basic fridge, microwave, coffee maker. The room is on tiny side but this is Waikiki. It was just right for my family of 4. This is my first time having a room with a Murphy bed, pretty cool for my 19 year old son. We all slept comfortably! No housekeeping services during our stay but the front desk staff mentioned to call the front desk, We needed extra trash bags, tissue. The pool is on the roof top, we were too busy during our stay we didn't get to utilize the pool, jacuzzi ,sauna, or work out room. We enjoyed hanging out on the 27th floor's owners lounge. The ocean view is Amazing! There is a pool table which my family enjoyed. We also enjoyed using the tables to enjoy our meals. When taking the elevator, take the end one, you can get a nice view of Waikiki going to the your room. What I love about Imperial, LOCATION. Its very close to the beach but we never made it, we walked all over to our destination and it was so convenient. I love Denny's, ABC store, and Starbucks was so close by. Those are the 3 stops I frequented most during my stay. Overall, I have to admit that my kids and my husband enjoyed our stay. We had a nice stay, relaxing and enjoying the tourist life. I do TRULY love staycations, until we can travel again. The question is would we come back again, YES.! My husband said he doesn't mind staying at Imperial again. Ok, let me check my Interval account to see if Imperial is available. Lets do it!
google avatar

Raynita N.

Yelp
Perfect place when you're staying in Hawaii! Great for families with kids because it's close to everything, they have a kids pool, and you don't need a car! This is our go to spot to stay when visiting this island.

Yelp
The location can't be beat -- out the door you're on Lewers Street, with modern shops and bustle just a quick walk from the main avenue of Waikiki. There's also a fancy ABC Stores on the first floor with hot and cold prepared food available. Valet parking is EXPENSIVE at $35/day for guests ($20 daily if you're an owner), and it sucks there is no self-parking option. But the valet guys themselves are very friendly and quick. The room itself was cozy... on the side of compact. We stayed in a suite with a living room, master bedroom, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. We set up both the sofa bed and the Murphy bed in the living room, with maybe half a leg's worth of space between the two. Bathroom 1 was pretty tiny and whenever you open the door the towel you use as your bath mat gets scrunched away. Other than the smaller size, the room has everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn't get to use any of the amenities I.e. the gym. I think the location is excellent but if you're the kind of family that needs floor space and a more "modern" feel, then this place might be too old for you.

Yelp
Let's Start Positive! --When it comes to staff and activities, A+! The staff is lovely and the ukulele lessons I took were my favorite part about staying here! --Owners Suite in the 26th floor has AMAZING views of Waikiki. --Legit amazing location. Honestly can't complain there. --Can get new pool/beach towels pretty easily Now the Not so positive... --Outdated furniture --Sometimes smelly bathroom due to piping (it was clean, just a lil smelly --"Hottub" is above ground and a litttttttle sketch for my tastes, but that's an opinion. --Valet parking and cost. I just personally don't like that but that's just my opinion. Overall: It's hard to complain when you're right on the beach of Waikiki. This wasn't the best hotel I've stood at no, but it certainly did the job. Now, this is coming from a perspective of someone that usually goes to Marriotts and Hilton's, so that may skew my opinion a bit, but it's not a bad spot. Hits at average for me but the staff exceed expectations, they are just so nice.

Yelp
This hotel is gross. Hallway ceilings covered in mold. Hotel room reeks of mildew. We had multiple people staying here and all our rooms smelled of mildew. Rooms are super outdated, furniture is old and musty. The bathrooms are ridiculously small (we were in a banyan room) the place just feels neglected. Great location. Awesome ABC Store downstairs. Everything else needs serious attention and improvement. I'll never stay here again.

Paulo Vitor M.

Yelp
My partner and I stayed at the hotel during Thanksgiving week 2024 from 11/24 to 11/29. We did not order any room service or room cleaning, but someone had access to our room and stole $1,000 from my wallet. We called the police and filed a report, but the hotel did not offer to help. When we went to check out, they said that they would take out the trash even without asking. Absurd.

Yelp
It's all about the view. The building is ok. Everything needs an update. The rooms and building are very clean, and staff is nice. But the layout of our room was only fair. There was space in the dining area, which was nice. But the bathroom next to the bedroom is very weird and small. You can't easily open the door if there's a human in the bathroom. There's no room service, and for some reason housekeeping is still suspended even though COVID is over. If you're staying for a week, however, they will clean your room ONCE if you request it. Something weird also happened. We were in the room when somebody knocked from the staff and just walked in. We could've been undressed. Granted, we didn't have the do not disturb sign out, but it was still jarring to have staff come in to change the garbage without much warning. The real downer was that we couldn't choose the room because it was an exchange through Interval international. As a result, we had the worst view imaginable. We were staring at a wall - not even a hint of sky was visible. It was so bad, that there was actually a picture of the beach on the wall, as if somehow, that was going to make up for our cave of a room. Maybe the hotel is ok for the price, but I'd pay more and see something besides a wall on my only vacation this year.

Yelp
We stayed the week of the 17th. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful, they greeted us everyday we were there. We did bring a car, the price was reasonable. We never had an issue. We stayed in the two bedroom & 2 bathroom suite and it had everything we needed. We were so close to many stores and restaurants. We can't wait to come back.

Judi C.

Yelp
We have come here many times. It is extremely clean and the staff is very accommodating. We look forward to many more visits in the future!!!

Yelp
Convenient location but pricey parking. Stayed in the Palm Suite for 2 weeks. The space is pretty small around the toilets, and the bedroom walkway to the bathroom. Had to book housekeeping 1 day in advance. Courteous staff. Their hot tub is the above-ground kind that you would see in someone's backyard. Several amenities, including free Mai Tais once a week, and coed sauna xD

Yelp
The people and place are awesome, Denny's below us is easy and we are next to the Beach and i recommend..

Yelp
Living on Oahu you know that finding a hotel for New Years Eve can be difficult and expensive. Most average hotel rooms for New Years Eve can run you $500+. I decided to try and find a hotel in Waikiki last minute and came across this place. For just $250 I decided to give it a try. So for the reason of being available and being at a great price, I give it the 4 stars! They have valet parking only but it is super quick and easy. No long wait for your car like large hotels. Check in was easy, friendly staff. Lobby was all decorated for the Holidays. ABC store for anything you need is right downstairs. Open until 1am. The hotel rooms are on the older side that is for sure. Typical 1 bedroom with small kitchenette type of layout. Wall bed pulls out of wall for a full size bed. Easily could fit a family of 5 or so. The location is what makes this place amazing. If you are coming to Hawaii and want to watch the fireworks from the beach and ocean, it is a 4 minute walk!!! You just can't beat it. It is a great great location. Fireworks put on by the Hilton is at 11pm, then at midnight by the Duke statue down by Cheesecake Factory they have another show! For this price, not sure if it can be beat!!

Was a guest here and the security lady kept coming outside the back door and yelling at people while I was trying to relax. It was very unsettling

Yelp
We had to go to Honolulu from Lahaina due to the fire last week. We were lucky to get a hotel as a lot of people were also leaving Maui. We lost all of our luggage in the Lahaina fire and literally had to run down Front Street to get away from the fire. We were lucky a nice couple eventually gave us a ride to the airport. This hotel appeared to be ok initially. However, after a few days, we found: Beds were tiny and hard - my wife and I could not sleep in the same bed (and neither of us are very big) The shower would fill up the tub every time and the water was never hot The safe in the room didn't work The exercise room was dinky But the worst part was after we got home, they called us and accused us of stealing a pair of scissors from the room. We told them we didn't steal anything and didn't check any bags so couldn't have carried them on the plane. Apparently they didn't believe us to charged our credit card $30. We disputed the charges via our credit card. If you have a choice, I would not stay in this place.

Yelp
Few places, locations, and room brings 100% satisfaction! The Imperial Hawaiian resort does all that and more! Lactation, location, location is perfection. We love the valet service...we love we can park our car for $100 weekly. Lastly we love the workers. And a Dennys in the lobby! Love love

Yelp
This is a timeshare condo hotel/resort. The hotel has 27 floors. The 27th floor is the rooftop pool area and level 26 has mainly timeshare owners with a lounge for happy hours and other events. On the 27th floor, there are two condos available for rent by the owner which is the same price as the hotel listing. Even though this is use as a hotel for noon timeshare owners, the housekeeping is utilized like a normal hotel. The room is only cleaned if the guests stays longer than four days. We were not there long enough for housekeeping to come clean our room but a non electric vacuum was available for use to clean the room ourselves. When on vacation, I don't really want to clean up after myself and that's why we stayed at a hotel otherwise we would rented an Airbnb already. The staff are friendly and the location is close to the beach and surrounding shopping. The pool is cold and it was very windy during the times we were there so couldn't make good use of the pool area. The bathroom is very small but glad to have two in our room. One thing the hotel could update on their room is an upper lock to prevent little kids from leaving the room in the middle of the night from night walking or sleep walking. That happened with our youngest daughter who woke up in the middle night crying and started to open the door and went out to the hallway. The door had latch lock but you can unlock easily with the handle. It's nice that the hotel is right next to the ABC store and Denny's is attached.

Yelp
The Imperial is a great affordable hotel sandwiched in between big names like Halekelani, Sheraton, and Wyndham. Less than a block away from the beach and close to all the best restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Tip, they have 2 of the best hot tubs! Good gym. Owners lounge has a nice view so keep an eye out for weekly gatherings they have in there.

Yelp
I'm embarrassed to say I've stayed here, it was given to us as a gift, front desk, manager have no customer service skills, the ceiling was leaking from the kitchen and the bedroom, I have to sleep on the couch. Dirty and rude employees, never ever coming back even if it's free to stay. We've waited til 6pm almost 3 hours for them to have the room ready, but rushing us to get out of the room horribly worst customer service I've experienced.

Yelp
We stayed 10 days Via Airbnb. Everything is excellent. Location, price/quality is great. We didn't drive so no comment about parking. Everything within walking distance. Amenities are pleasant. Pool hot tub and sauna. I did not used the gym though. Staff are friendly. Weekly event is very welcoming. Wednesday Mai tai and Friday firework view from 26th floor is the best. Will stay here again for sure.

Yelp
The best thing about this hotel was the prices in the locations it's in the middle of everything I were highly recommend saying at this facility.

Yelp
Hotel is conveniently located within close walking business to a bunch of shopping and nice beaches. Is a little dated --our air conditioning in our room had foil around the thermostat and a separate fan that did not seem to work all that well. Front concierge staff is very helpful and very nice. Don't have enough people working so housekeeping only came and emptied the garbage a couple times a week** we really could have used a good vacuum since Sand does get tracked in quite often. You can go down and exchange your towels for clean ones whenever you want though which is really helpful since they also Supply Beach towels. Don't really expect to have a view of the ocean as there are skyrises all around but we could see a sliver of a beach from our window. Also the dean and DeLuca is Office Buildings not an actual coffee shop but they do have the best ABC Store in town downstairs where you can definitely get everything you need and pay top dollar. Buy a hula bus pass card at the ABC Store downstairs and load it online to take the bus daily and get around wherever you need the bus system is epic

Yelp
My family and I own a condo in the Imperial for the last 5 years. Every year we're there, there's always a new update! New furniture, new kitchen, new floors, new lan'i, tiles on the floor, new showers, etc. I'm always pleased with the Imperial and have never been let down. The located is PERFECT. A few blocks away from the ocean (Waikiki beach), down the street there is a Starbucks, an outdoor shopping center, The International Market, and so many other stores. There is also a ABC store on the lower level on the outside of the check in office. If you are ever hungry there is a Denny's attached the side of the Imperial. Feeling like dancing? There's also a club called The Cellar! Being a native of Hawai'i, I've never entered any of these places so I cannot say anything about these other businesses. I grew up in Hawaii till I was in elementary school and had moved to the mainland. I occasionally visit and stay in the Condo. There are twenty six floors, minus the thirteenth floor. If you are a owner there is also a owners lounge on the top floor! There are flat screen TVs, Pool tables, Computers that access the Internet, couches, a kitchen and a big ass deck! The view from up top is AMAZING! You must have a key to access. On the twenty fifth floor, there is a pool and hot tub. along with a restroom, vending machines and a little shower for the pool. Every Friday night, if you look out towards the ocean, there is a firework show for the tourists. Other then not getting wireless in the rooms, I say the Imperial has been the BEST hotel I've stayed in throughout my life.

Yelp
The best! Really enjoyed staying here 5 nights. One block away from the beach!! Only downside was the noise from the street at night. Other than that, amazing resort!!

Yelp
Honestly, this place just needs to be gutted. We've been staying here for 10 years -- my husband's grandma owned a timeshare here for over 30 years, and we took it over about 5 years ago. The first few times we stayed here, the conditions of the rooms the were really worn down and dirty. Even though they've "renovated" the rooms in recent years, all they did was put in new flooring (poorly installed in our room), replaced some furniture, and maybe replaced the vanity in the bathroom -- which jets out too far into the bathroom(???). The bathrooms are still tiny and gross. The kitchenette in our room hasn't been updated at all. The beds are still small and uncomfortable. The hallways are still dank and dark. The owners lounge has the original carpet from 1980 -- maybe it's been replaced since then with the same pattern, but it's still very worn out. The kitchen in the owners lounge is disgusting, and there's only one old gross pan to cook with! Oh AND they charge you $7.10/day for a crib!! I have stayed at many hotels with babies and never have I been charged for a crib. Pros: The staff is generally friendly. We don't mind the downtown location as we live in SF so we're used to the noise of busy city life. We like being able to walk to different beaches along Waikiki, and to the zoo, aquarium, etc. I just don't understand why they can't invest more into this place. We've stayed at other timeshare properties before, and they're many steps above the dump this place is. There's so much potential here.

Yelp
We came here spring time!! The place was pretty nice!! We had a view of the street right above Denny's! Right in the middle of town was great!! The employees were nice!! We had a studio for us two!! It had everything we needed!! The owners lounge was huge with a great view for the fireworks at Hilton village !! The pool and hot tubs were ok!!! The only thing I didn't care for was the fee for parking garage! But we got over it!! We will be back again!! Great area!! Close to beach street lunch trucks and always music with in a block!! Love Hawaiian music!!! Real close walk to beach!!!

Yelp
This hotel was very clean and comfortable. My family loved the amenities and our view was good enough.

Yelp
Both lady's at the bell desk were extremely extremely rude. The valet parking was disorganized with each staff telling us different things. The room was fine but would never come back due to rude staff out front.

Yelp
Great people, wonderful locations for Waikiki Beach and central to restaurants and transportation

Yelp
This review is of the bar on the 27th floor. Tom and Leilani are amazing. They are artists of drinks. They are beautiful people inside and out . I've never been treated so well anywhere! What a fantastic place to enjoy a drink. The choco martini tastes like it was made by an angel. An angel taking you to heaven !

Yelp
What saves this hotel is the staff. They are wonderful, all of them. With every hotel there are positives and negatives, what I find negative, you may find positive. First, here are the positives. The service is awesome. They are friendly, courteous and professional. They are very responsive when asked to have garbage picked up or for more towels. The staff is better than some higher priced hotels I've stayed at. The location is great. It feels like you are in the middle of everything, shopping, restaurants and beach. A shopping mall is within walking distance, so you are not left feeling you have to dine out all the time. The ABC store is attached and this store has everything you need for your stay. Across the street is Roy's. The beds are very comfortable and the units were clean. It's a great place to sleep, bathe and eat. Afterall, you are on vacation and not intending to spend a lot of time in the room. Second, negatives. The parking is NOT intuitive. It's actually confusing to find the front of the hotel. Once you do, not a problem going forward. Note that you park in front of the ABC store. The street Lewers is a one way. Be careful with lots of pedestrians, but most get out of your way. You can only do valet. There is no self parking, so once your car is parked, you lose that control of running down to grab that item you forgot. No one followed the regulations due to COVID. Getting on the elevator, you stay to the right. No one did that. And you are suppose to have a limited amount of people on the elevator. Half the people did that. Not necessarily the hotels fault. We had a unit with 2 bathrooms. The water never got hot. It is Hawaii, so I guess luke warm was fine. The area where the murphy bed is kept could have been more presentable. We were afraid of what would crawl up once we lowered the murphy bed. It was rather dirty back there. The units are a tight squeeze. Again, you won't be spending a lot of time there. Just note if you are a family of 5, be patient moving around. The bathrooms were the tightest squeeze. There are things which can be plus or negative. There's no concierge. Everything is online including booking tours. That was a bummer as I like talking to a person. There are not a lot of amenities, so I'm confused where the "resort" came from in the name. There is a small roof top pool with a cool view (not from the pool from standing and looking). There is a fitness room and washer and dryers are available. Other than that, not much else. Larger units have larger kitchens. Studio units have a fridge and microwave. In unit eating areas are provided and the murphy beds (tho again, dirty around the area) were cool when you have children and the couch pulls out. This was an ok hotel as it provided what it said it would do. Again, the location and staff are worth staying here. Oh, one more tip. When leaving for your tour, leave extra early in case there are a few cards ahead of you for valet. Expect that you will have to wait your turn. There is also a Denny's attached to the hotel.

Yelp
This place is way over my expectations! It's my first time in Hawaii and first time staying at a place for the timeshare through Interval. My partner and I was previously booked at a different hotel but were moved to this one which made it better since it's in the heart of downtown Waikiki. The beach is one block away. The hotel provides towels for the beach and there's a foot wash located in the parking lot by the lobby. There are 27 floors. The pool is on the rooftop and there's a large lounge on the 26th where the have special events, a full kitchen with cookware, pool tables, and a sunset view. The building also has hot tubs, a sauna, gym, and gift shops. There's an ABC store located downstairs. Valet parking only - $100 for the week or $20/day. So many shops and restaurants nearby. Our room is a one bedroom with mini kitchen that has dishes, sink, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. Two TVs - one in living room, one in bedroom. A lanai (balcony), pull-out bed in living room, sofa, dining table, safe... so many amenities! I love this experience and Hawaii is so beautiful! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
This place is like heaven and the abc store is right downstairs which is a great place to buy food instead of going out everyday and spending more! The view is so beautiful and it's relaxing to just stare out at the water. Also the service here is amazing and everyone is so sweet and you can tell they actually care about their visitors will 100% book here again

Yelp
While the staff overall is professional, the towel exchange on 3rd floor is an inconvenience. Why make owners waste time getting fresh towels? Further, concierge, Diana, listened to a birthday wish (our birthday gift to a friend) that we had for a party boat "booze cruise" with sunset & food. We paid over $139/per person & did not get what was described. The promise was drinks + live music that would play requests. In reality, there was 1 drink (but more were negotiated from the boat - major inconvenience), traditional Hawaiian music (not what we wanted or were told would be available on this cruise) and definitely not a party boat...just a chill cruise up the shoreline and back. After trusting Diana's expertise, we (too late) learned that sunset party cruises are available for $60/person. We only got $101 refunded. Booo! We were ripped-off. Parting advice: listen to the customer & give them what they want, not what you're told to sell.

Yelp
This Hotel is pretty decent. It's not the Ritz, but definitely not the Pitts! The location is great, and it has definitely gone through some major changes since last year. (I'm basing this comment on all of you who complained about the inconveniences caused by the renovating...I feel your pain!). So this was OUR experience: THE GOOD: Unlike some of the others who have Yelped this location, we were greeted immediately by a very friendly bell hop. We had to wait to check in but it's Summer in Hawaii (I expected it). The woman who checked us in (Sheryl) was warm and friendly. Lisa the Concierge really had our back! She is awesome!! And I'd like to give a shoutout to Michael (who unfortunately as of today no longer works here...Awkward!!). NOTE: Do book everything through the concierge! The location is extremely convenient! NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED A CAR!! Almost EVERYTHING is within walking distance! You will save A Lot of $$$ by ditching the rental!! But if you absolutely must have a car, then expect to pay a lot of $$$ for that convenience! All of the Hotels in Waikiki charge for forced valet! The Bad: We had no access to our laundry room because, you guessed it, it was being renovated. This is the only reason why The Imperial gets only four stars. The Ugly: As for the hotel itself, there wasn't any! The only ugly for us was the Waikiki beach! Now I'm a Southern Californian, so I'm a little spoiled when it comes to beaches, BUT WAIKIKI WAS THE WORST MOST PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A BEACH I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!! It used to be a SWAMP and so the entire bottom of the beach (under the water) is 100% rugged terrain! Our feet were all cut up!! I WILL NEVER GO INTO THAT PART OF THE OCEAN AGAIN!! If you go into the water you better where booties! All in all, The Imperial was a good choice! I'd definitely give it another chance (when I could wash my clothes).

Yelp
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable staff, and good amenities. This hotel sits less than 2 blocks from the World Famous Waikiki Beach. From check in to check out, the staff met every need from towels, extra cups, trash bags, soap, and more with quick service. The hotel has a fitness room, rooftop pool, sauna, and concierge on site to help you enjoy your vacation. No pressure to soliciate timeshare sales as an added bonus.

Yelp
Location and price are the only perks of this hotel. Other than that the hotel is outdated. We found mosquitoes in the room and when we brought it up to management they sent someone to our room immediately but the employee said it's normal to have these types of bugs in the room. I've never been in a hotel that it's "Normal" to have bugs. We were not offered a different room or even an apology at the minimum. Would not recommend unless you're on a super tight budget.
