The Ingham Swan

We went before last year and had a great meal so this time returned and booked both Bed and breakfast with evening meals. The prices have gone up a lot. We were woken up at 6 a.m by the farmers loading HGVs with sugarbeet which went on until 3pm that afternoon. The female owner ddidnt really seem to care, she apologised but she wouldny accept that the sound proofing of room 6 in the cottage needs resolving. (You can hear everything) there was no touch of finesse or empathy with regards to our noise issue. We paid over 700 pounds and not even a courtesy drink for the inconvenience. Its not the hotels fault rrgarding the works in the adjacent field, we didnt demand anything but we were rudely disturbed all the same and felt it needed to be politely mentioned. Kindness costs nothing. Bella the daughter was very accomodating likewise the waitering staff and kitchen staff. The owner needs to take a step down in humility and remember that the customer is why she is where she is. The food was amazing as always and so was the wine. Sadly my money will be spent elsewhere next time. Bella sold the Wilderbeast so well too. Such a shame.

From walking in we were made very welcome by the staff. Nothing was too much for them to do. A very clean and not stupidly overcrowded seating area. Plenty of space. For my wife the wine was pleasantly cold and my beer perfectly kept. |We had decided to look at the Menu du jour and what was on it pleased us both. Very well presented food from start to finish. The chef must be brilliant because I ate some cabbage and enjoyed it (a new thing for me)! Throughout our time there, there was no pressure to hurry up and the staff were pleased to pass a little time talking to us. Will definitely return soon. Well recommended!

Came here to celebrate an anniversary and opted for the dine and stay which came with the 7 course tasting menu. We decided to go for the wine paring which complimented every dish. The food was simply impeccible, best we have ever had. We were blown away by the snacks, pre-starter and pre-dessert as well as the optional cheese course, although all the courses were great, these were outstanding! The gentleman serving the wine was very knowledgable and all the servers we had were just amazing and made the night! Can see why this place has 3 AA rosettes and is in the michelin guide. It deserves every accolade! For my palette, the langoustine cream on the fish course was delicous, but it overpowered the delicate scallops for me. Would 100% recommend, worth the travel and price. If you have a special occasion or celebration. This is worth your consideration!!

We stayed here for a Saturday night last weekend,its very rural so don't expect a walk out to any shops. Once checked in we went to our room which was one of the cottage rooms,and had explained various things within the room,all straightforward,the room had a nice cosy feel. The Bathroom was a lot cooler,the room has under floor heating which was easily adjusted.The room has a nepresso machine & biscuits,a large bottle of water. The bathroom products are of a good quality. We had a decent night's sleep,at first being by the main road we thought it would be noisy,it wasn't. There is a very small seating area if you wanted a drink downstairs in the main building. We had the 7 course taster menu and it was really good. Breakfast was very good with eggs poached perfect & the warm croissants,home made bread. Overall a really good time,the staff were very attentive & could not be faulted especially when it was so busy.

We have just returned from a wonderfully restful and enjoyable overnight stay at the Ingram Swan. The room we stayed in (room 1) now has excellent Wi-Fi and was spacious, immaculate and beautifully refurbished. Care and attention had been given to even the smallest details; we could fault nothing.||We had decided to spoil ourselves with the evening tasting menu in the restaurant. It was superb and well explained by the staff on duty, thankfully without the intensity which so often accompanies such fine dining description. Everything was cooked to perfection but the apple soufflé was to die for!||Then came breakfast which was carefully sourced and prepared; again the staff were excellent.||In summary, we have eaten at much more fêted restaurants and stayed in grander hotels in the area but would rate the Swan over these any day of the week.

The food was outstanding, and the service was equally impressive. As a coeliac, my wife often finds dining out to be a challenge, feeling like a burden when requesting gluten-free options. However, tonight was a refreshing change; she was given a delicious meal that didn’t feel like an afterthought. We can't wait to return! Thanks again

Great service, large portion sizes, food very tasty. Excellent value (restaurant month menu). Drinks were sensibly priced.

Standout experience of a recent trip to Norfolk. We'd been sleeping in a van and so were dressed far from fancy. But made to feel so very welcome. The service from entering to leaving was sublime. Attentive but not overly over your shoulder. The staff were all incredibly knowledgeable of the food and the menu itself. So much choice, from really affordable set menus to taster experiences to a comprehensive a la carte menu. Everything tasted incredible and was beautifully presented but not overly fussy. It doesn't matter what we had, as im sure whatever you order is going to be sensational, but I'll share some pictures.
