I had my wedding reception at the Inn and I am elated that I chose this venue. Shiobanne helped throughout the entire process of planning, she was incredibly helpful and it all felt seamless. There was very intentional thought in each detail and ensuring I had everything I wanted. The food was amazing, and importantly it is sourced locally. It was especially meaningful that during our reception they asked to drop something in our room, to which we found a framed photo from our ceremony. The room itself was beautiful with high quality amenities. I felt so well taken care of and the location is a perfect distance from everything. I strongly recommend this location for vacations, or events.

Google
We've visited The Inn at Hastings Park before, and a return visit in early December did not disappoint! The inn was decked out for the holidays, and the warm ambiance, fabulous food, exceptional staff and cleanliness made our visit perfect! They found two absolute last minute seats for us at their holiday high tea, and it was an extraordinary experience. |For history buffs, the inn is perfectly situated between historic Lexington and Concord. I can't wait to return!

I’m only rating the Inn by my visit not stay. My aunt stayed there the night before her wedding. I visited as I helped her get ready for her big day, and the family took pictures outside. What I experienced was brief but still, I got to see how nice the room was especially the bathroom. The service seemed efficient however, the location not so much at a very busy intersection. I wasn’t too crazy about the huge US flag on the wall but I must say the room is clean and comfortable.

We were there for dinner only, And the moment we pulled in...you start to enjoy the experience. The service and dinners were wonderful but don't fill up too soon... There's dessert!!

The Inn at Hastings Park is absolutely top-shelf. The accommodations are tasteful, immaculate, and supremely pleasant. The bar is cozy and well stocked and serviced, and the restaurant is delicious. The staff bends over backwards to make sure that you're enjoying your stay.||My daughter and I stayed in the king suite in the main house while we were on a Boston-area college tour. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent rooms, excellent food, and some of the best service we've ever received. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it. I would recommend the Inn at Hastings Park to anyone. Downtown Lexington is great and only a short walk, and Concord is only a short drive. It may sound silly but the park in Concord where the Revolutionary war started is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in the summer, a giant open field full of wildflowers.

ok|here’s the deal - this place is nowhere worth the money |we called to book a room asking for quiet|Nancy the manager neglected to tell us that there was extensive construction going on outside the hotel starting with paving trucks at 6 am jack hammers at 630 am and road closure by 9 am ||what kind of upscale inn does this ?||the dining room looked cold and soulless - the bar has no lager beer or chardonnay- the fish dish was one of the worst ever and could not be eaten - the list can go on - but don’t make the mistake made - save yourself money and stress |go anywhere else

Yelp
My wife and I had Easter Brunch here after hearing a lot about this place over the years. This is what we thought: Staff: Greeted us very warmly, expressing appreciation for us choosing to spend Easter there. Waiter: Top notch. Friendly, accommodating, attentive, professional. Food: Perfectly cooked. Beautiful brunch buffet with very fresh selections. Would have preferred a few more traditional entree selections. Coffee wasn't very good but it's hard to serve fresh brewed coffee on days when it's so busy. Very cute and tasty desserts. Mimosas were fresh and tasty. Atmosphere: Very clean, warm, traditional New England charm. Extremely comfortable seating. Restrooms were equally clean and well kept. Value: Brunch was $300 for the two of us which included a 20% gratuity. You can't really complain about the cost when you know what you're paying beforehand. Paying staff to work Easter Sunday is expensive. Sourcing local ingredients is expensive. Using fresh ingredients is expensive. We view this experience as a one off. Glad we went but at this price it's hard to justify going back again, for Easter anyway. (Regular brunch is far less expensive.) Overall: Couldn't have been much better to be honest. But, wow, pricey for what are essentially breakfast foods.

Yelp
What a quaint colonial inn with a wonderful restaurant! The Inn oozes history and the dining room is very reminiscent of a revolutionary period from the past. Sitting next to a nice fire, at a colonial styled dining table and seating, the menu at the Inn seems early American with a nod to today. We started with a cocktail service. For dinner, I had a cauliflower soup, garnished with peanuts and chili oil. For my main I had a pork shank with grits and bok choi. My colleague had a quarter chicken and brussels sprouts. We shared a dessert, a piece of rum pie, reminiscent of a cheese cake. The service was great and the ambiance was lovely. I'd return and consider staying here.

Yelp
Afternoon tea was such fun and many little delicious bites. Highly recommend. The decor at this hotel is stunning.

Yelp
I had high tea at this location yesterday. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly, I also felt as though they had plenty of parking. The grounds in the in itself are also very well-kept and very well decorated. The tea was delicious, and I felt as though they had a variety of flavors. The food was outstanding as well, I will definitely be visiting this location again, and I highly recommend it.

Yelp
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - Several of us nieces took my Aunt to High Tea to celebrate her 100th birthday. Upon making reservations the hostess assured us they would do something special to recognize the momentous event. The Good - The Inn was lovely, the pastries delicious. The Bad - the scones were stale, the sandwiches were nothing special, service was poor. The wait staff did not return to refresh our tea pots with hot water. The bill came to $82.50 per person, with a 20% gratitude the restaurant included. At that price, which was more than double high tea at other local establishments, I expected white table cloths, real teapots and china, and exceptional service. The Ugly - No recognition of my Aunt's birthday. I wrote a letter to the Lexington owner and never received a reply. In contrast, we just came from the Alcott House Tour where they gifted my Aunt a tote bag filled with gifts. We spent $15 per person there.

Yelp
Love, love, love this place. From how beautiful and meticulously they've restored the place, to comfortable beds and rooms, to farm to table amazing food I love everything about this place. I've stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints.

Yelp
I went to the Inn on a Saturday afternoon for high tea with a friend, who'd made the reservations for us. The time for our reservation was 12:30pm, and I arrived a little bit early, about 10 minutes or so. When I checked in with the hostess, she informed me we had porch seating and that the table was not set up yet. That seemed understandable, since I was early. I sat down and waited. At 12:30, they brought me to our table... which was indeed on the porch. The front porch, right next to the front door. It was also about 50 degrees, overcast, with a bit of wind. For some reason, I had pictured a 3-season porch, but this was fully outside. They offered blankets and to turn on the heater... however, I didn't feel that would do the trick or be enjoyable. My friend showed up right at that moment (walked up the front steps and saw us communicating about the chill) and was quite surprised to see me sitting right there. She asked us to be moved inside, so they checked and said they had a spot for us. That was a small issue, but not a big deal - my friend had booked the porch for us (also thinking it would be more of a sun porch situation), and they had just been fulfilling her seating request, so we brushed it off. However, the rest of the tea wasn't great. The server was fine, but I am not sure she knew a lot about the food and drink she was serving. I ordered a champagne tea that also had citrus... (completely forgot that it shouldn't have dairy added to it), and she asked if I wanted cream for it. I said yes. Once I added it, the cream curdled. So I had to swap that out. The server also said one of the sandwiches we had was egg salad, but it was chicken salad. The food overall was mediocre, and there wasn't much of it. We've done high tea at other places, and for comparison, the high tea at the BPL has far superior food/ambiance! There are many other places that offer high tea that are better in every way. I'd skip this place.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed on X-mas eve on the worst mattress ever. and for $600.- for the night! What a shame for a relaix/chateau. Don't stay here! Cheap,. terrible beds!

Yelp
We held our wedding at the Inn at Hastings Park and it was incredible. The food was elevated and the vibes were on point. I was planning the wedding during a really difficult time--my mother passed away while we were planning our wedding--and they were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Honestly, choosing them as our wedding home base was the best choice we made in planning our wedding! I recommend them for any of your milestone events.

Yelp
Fantastic tea Saturday afternoon - everything was delicious, and it is a lovely modern New England setting.

Yelp
Really a ton of money for absolutely nothing. Two sit at the bar for a cocktail and its 60 bucks unless you give zero tip. Food is ordinary and service is indifferent. We have not slept there. Never will

Yelp
Maybe a high end visit. But they just tried to screw daughter over Thanksgiving dinner. Charged her $150 for T-Day buffet when the online post was $125 and sold out. Watch your back. They backed down when they got the trashing they deserved.

Yelp
We went in for brunch after going on a little hike with our 4 and 6 year old. It was a fixed sample menu - $65 per adult and $40 per kid. Super expensive but we decided to go anyway. Restaurant was clean, staff was great but I can't even believe they charge these prices for the food that we received. For adults it was pretty average, definitely not $65 per person. What really blew me away and was the tiny single, ego waffle with a couple strawberries that each of my kids received. My son was still hungry and we had to go get a bagel somewhere else. Really outrageous that they thought that was ok. I really want to support our local restaurants but I will never go back here. It just feels like they are trying to take advantage.

Yelp
Our "kingsize" room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. 4 Pillows on bed were also "king size" and rock hard. Asked if could get at least 2 softer and hopefully smaller. One pillow arrived-only to be replaced next day by previous hard pillow. Not ever able to get softer pillows. Breakfast service was very pleasant- but "continental breakfast" very limited- and same every morning.

Yelp
Super weird vibe here. Walked up before noon there were two tables eating, asked if we could have a seat for breakfast and told that they were full. Obviously not true but ok maybe they need advance notice. Called them a bit later to see if they had availability for the same day and sure enough no problem could join for the $65 champagne brunch. Dunno, the place was creepy. Not sure why anyone would stay there when it's loud af right on mass ave.

Yelp
We recently decided to splurge as an extra special treat for ourselves and our friends at the Inn. For the $65. per person, we expected the presentation, the preparation of the food, and the service to be stellar. It turned out to be mediocre. First, there was no maitre'd. We walked around the Inn several times trying to find someone to acknowledge our reservation and seat us. It took fifteen minutes to get settled. At first, the staff was very apologetic. We were quietly offered "something" for our trouble. When finally served, the food was ordinary, not any more interesting than served by a local luncheonette. The Buffet table was underwhelming tiny plates and morsels of fruit too small to pick up easily. The miniature cupcakes were placed in a dark corner behind the table. It seemed like they were trying to prevent guests from actually eating too much. When it came to the bill, there was no adjustment. For a special occasion, I recommend somewhere else.

Yelp
Had high tea today with a friend. somewhat disappointed in the size of the food selections for the price. each finger sandwich was about 1" square. the cucumber was ever so slightly bigger. Each had one thin, thin slice of cucumber, roast beef, or smoked salmon or 1 tsp (not tablespoon) of chicken salad. $65! A scone the size of a large walnut. We've been to other teas that were much, much better and substantial. our waitress was inattentive. Tea selection was nice. atmosphere lovely, although the utilitarian white coffee cups used for tea didn't fit.

Yelp
We only had brunch/ dinner and the experience was okay. It was a lot of fun, we went because of the igloos and wanted to do a fun Christmas/ holiday celebration. When we began with getting the reservation, it was a very odd experience. It originally started at a very high price and then it was chopped down by $100. The only reason we knew it was cut by $100 was because when we were looking at the menu, it was peculiar because no one told us that the prices were reduced. Then when we called again, someone who worked there said something like: "by the way if you want you can order off the Christmas brunch menu instead." The menu was significantly more substantial and had a bit more options which was great for the members in my party. The original menu was limited and drab, pork or a vegetarian pasta dish. I'm so glad we were able to have more of a variety for options For our experience in the restaurant, the first part of the appetisers were good, there was a tower of different options, with fruit at the top, meat and other poultry in the middle and shellfish at the bottom. 3 of the guests in my party are the meat and they said the Turkey was spectacular, as in the best Turkey they've ever had. I was impressed. I ate a majority of the shellfish and it was really good. Unfortunately, everything came out too quickly and were unable to notify the staff since I'm not a huge fan of oysters, and would've much preferred more shrimp or something else but there was plenty of it so I'm not mad though. Then before we even finished eating with the other part of the appetisers came and it was a bit overwhelming since we were in the middle of eating it came. Then shortly after we had our second set of appetisers, our main course came and it felt like every few minutes we were getting another course and were constantly taking our masks on and off, off and on. For my main course, I got the eggs Benedict, and my partner got pancakes, my cousin got the beef has and my mom got the salmon. My partner liked the pancakes but one of the then was completely uncooked And was completely raw. My partner even thought/ was wondering if it was stuffed with something because they were so shocked. My eggs Benedict was pretty bad, the eggs were completely over cooked, to the point where the yoke was just a ball, and then the whites were just a goopy and weird. The English muffin was over cooked and felt like it had come out of the microwave or something. The potatoes that came with it were okay, I was hoping it would be better but they were fine, nothing spectacular but everything did feel very rushed at first and would've much preferred if there was more time in between each course. I also got an old fashioned, the cocktail and it was really good. I'm not sure what made it so good, but it was spectacular with generous portions. Although my cousin and mom really liked theirs, I was a bit disappointed. Then the desserts came, they were really good but we only had a little bit before we took the rest home. The waitstaff were really sweet, one person even helped my mom entirely with making sure everything was to our satisfaction and we really appreciated it. The igloos were really cute and decorated beautifully. It gave it a really nice cozy but comfortable atmosphere for the 4 of us

Yelp
First I have to mention that my communications with Rob who works at the front desk made me feel very comfortable and welcoming. As soon as I went to the Inn Rob was one of the first people that I met and he wanted me sit and relax while waiting for the rest of my company. He even came back to make sure everything was OK while I was waiting. Our table overlooked the Angel Whispering Garden with a beautiful view. We ordered our entrées that were brought to our table. We Also had a tower of oysters, shrimp, fresh fruit and cheeses and crackers that was delivered to our table as well. Peter worked with our table and we could not have asked for anyone nicer. He was professional, accommodating - just great - I Just can't say enough about him. He made us all feel relaxed, comfortable, answered all our questions and wanted to make sure that we were happy with our choices of food and if anything else needed to let him know. I found the food that I ate to be very fresh. That's very important when fruits and salads are part of the menu. I enjoyed the sweet ending with George Howell full body smooth coffee and gingerbread cookie as well as either a coconut or macaron cookie with chocolate drizzle. When we finished our brunch we went out to the Angel Whispering Garden and was surrounded by so much greenery and beautiful seating space that really makes us feel we would like to have an event there in the fall. What a beautiful extension to our day. Rob and Peter thank you for making this day possible for us.

Yelp
Very nice venue and dining. First came here while with an up and coming pharmaceutical company in Lexington in '02. Clean, neat and very nice staff. Well stocked snacks and beverages, as well as fine dining. Love to stay overnight, as it seems like a quaint place to rest. Parking is somewhat limited, best to car pool.

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews but my experience at Sunday brunch last week really warranted one. The brunch is nice, but at $65 per person, it's outrageously expensive and overpriced for what it is. It's not special enough to be that expensive. The bill for 4, without any alcohol - just coffee and tea, came to $338 including tip. I knew the price when I made the reservation so shame on me. I picked up the tab but I'll never return.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at The Inn at Hastings Park last month while visiting family. It was a great experience. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, and the service was excellent. Everyone we encountered from the owner through the restaurant staff and the housekeeping staff were helpful. There was a problem with the shower in our accessible room, but they are aware of it and stated they intend to fix it. We hosted a family lunch outside on the front porch which was convenient, delicious and comfortable in the midst of Covid. It helped, no doubt, that it was a beautiful New England fall day. However, we were offered freshly laundered blankets if we wanted them for warmth. My husband and I also availed ourselves of room service twice, and both times had the best room service food we think we have ever had anywhere in the world, comparable to eating in the restaurant. We absolutely intend to return when in the area!

Yelp
This is a lovely place to stay. I am pretty sure they would have carried me to my room had I asked. My guest room was large and beautiful. The bed was comfortable and cozy and the bathroom was very clean. Fine accommodations all the way around.

Yelp
I stayed here for a quiet birthday weekend getaway. It was the absolute best ever. I very briefly mentioned that I was there for my birthday and maybe an hour later champagne arrived to my room. The Inn was even nice enough to let my boyfriend take credit for getting the champagne - he only later told me that it was all them! Since we stayed in February, we mainly read by the fire and explored the Inn. It was the coziest, loveliest wintertime retreat. Also, a big shout to the restaurant onsite. It is truly delicious - everything from the lunch grilled cheese to the dinner steak. The details and attentive staff make every meal a pleasure. I cannot recommend the Inn at Hastings Park more. I tell everyone and now I'm telling you!

Yelp
*UPDATE* Responding to Trisha P: I have no doubt in my mind that the bug bites came from that room. Perhaps the bed is not the culprit. Maybe the carpet? The carpet had several stains that I took note of. The day after check-in I left a note saying pls change the sheets and vacuum (as I saw multiple debris left on the floor including a dead wasp which I also mentioned in the note) and housekeeping should be able to recall that note. Perhaps the room being so close to the back forest area means that there should be better insulation via the front door? There's always a first person to complain... --------------------------------------------- *ORIGINAL REVIEW* Let me begin by saying this "room" cost $500ish a night. After an Airbnb fell through I called ahead to ask them if they allowed an ESA dog. I have a note from my health provider and everything, some people may think ESA dogs are bs, mine is not, enough said. They called back and said, we'll allow it but you must pay a $125 cleaning fee. I agreed. They did not tell me that along with that cleaning fee they would put me in what must be their worst room which they refer to as a "suite." It's room 10 FYI. Basically they shoved my husband and I in the kids corner because we had our 14 lb Maltese. After a night of nonstop noise from the kids upstairs I asked to move, they very nicely said sorry but we are making an exception even allowing you to be here with a dog, this is the only room for you. Do not make an exception. Either take the $125 cleaning fee and then allow me the courtesy of all other guests, able to switch rooms due to noise etc, able to go anywhere on the property or do not make an exception. Either you give every guest the same treatment or just don't allow dogs of any kind, there is no middle ground. I don't have pictures of the room, too depressing to take any, it was dark ( if you kept the shades up you'd see kids right there playing outside 1 foot away) and on the bottom floor facing the woods, the bathroom was minuscule, I found dead insects in the windowsill and there was an odd smell to the room itself. ******* The cherry on the cake is that they absolutely had a pest problem. My husband, myself and even my dog left with bug bites. I told the Inn about it after realizing we were covered in bites and they denied they had any and I never heard back. ****** If you need to stay in Lexington I don't know what to tell you but if you have flexibility stay at Clarendon Square BNB. It's in Boston, the suite there is actually a suite, it's wonderful - huge bathroom, insane closet, lovely room, and it's $100-200 cheaper. This is a Relais & Châteaux property. We were going to book another Relais & Châteaux property The Point in NY for the Fall, but after this experience I won't, and I'll contact Relais & Châteaux and let them know how badly this reflects on their whole brand

Cindy G.

Yelp
We were NOT impressed with The Inn at Hastings Park! Information on the website/amenities was deceiving, 'complimentary snacks' are billed at $18 a day, not exactly complimentary! Complimentary snacks were not stocked daily-disappointing! Once I called the front desk requesting snacks, they were delivered! The complimentary continental breakfast consisted of over-ripen bananas, marginal store bought sweet bread (not exactly indicative of a $450 a nite room), ok yoghurt and ok granola. Staff was pleasant, rooms were nice, location good but DEFINITELY NOT worth the price!

Jillian K.

Yelp
Wonderful experience at Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington. We are not comfortable eating indoors, I totally respect that some people are but it's not the right choice for us We rented an Igloo, you can reserve online. Brunch is $200 minimum (pre charged) for upto 6 people. We had 4 + a 3yo. The 4 course brunch (menu in here) is $50pp and kids 3 and under are free. If you wanted unlimited bubbly it's $60pp or you pay for drinks a la cart. Igloos are well spaced apart, the wait staff comes to take order and drops food but does not hang out. Food was amazing, igloo was comfortable (heater inside) but not super warm For $50pp it was a great value. Highly recommend especially for a special occasion. They did a lovely happy birthday on the dessert plate.

Paula D.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Inn at Hastings Park for beautifully COVID compliant lodging and dining! Warm inviting spacious rooms some with a fireplace. Amazing fine dining options with comfort food appeal. The outdoor igloo dining experience was amazing and so comfortable With mid 30sF temps and we sat for 3 hr brunch without coats ... the setting was lovely and cozy. Trisha Kenneally and the entire staff treat everyone like VIP guests. You're very comfort is attended to! Had the best time and can't wait to do it again! If you want to get away without really leaving, look no further.

Yelp
This place is so, so special to us. My husband and I were married in September 2014 and stumbled across the Inn at Hastings Park online while scrambling to figure out a nice place to spend our wedding night. We loved it so much that we stayed 3 nights in mini-honeymoon fashion, and we plan to return on our anniversaries in the future. My husband surprised me with a stay there for Valentine's this year as well. Both rooms we have stayed in so far are absolutely gorgeous -- immaculately clean and well-appointed with lots of New England character. Everyone we have met who works at the inn is so personable and accommodating. They always want to make our special occasions extra memorable. Of course, I have to mention Artistry on the Green. We enjoyed cocktails in the lounge of the inn before the bar was able to open, which was so comfortable, private, and romantic. We're psyched because we hear the bar is now open as well! We also have indulged in a few dinners and brunches at Artistry on the Green and agree that they have been some of the most delicious meals we've ever had. On Valentine's in particular, the special prix fixe menu with wine pairings was worth every single cent... Beyond yummy and a really special memory for us newlyweds. We are so excited to return next month for our first anniversary! :) Don't hesitate, just book it!

Yelp
We had a disappointing stay at the Inn this October. Our room was clean, but the refrigerator was unplugged causing everything we put inside to be thrown out the next day because it was not refrigerated. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. The most frustrating part of the stay was the parking situation at the main house. We got back from a dinner out and had no where to park for the night. We had to call a number we had been given numerous times, after looking for someone to talk to inside the Inn (no one was there). After being told to check another lot, we ended up being told to park in the handicap spot, go to our room and watch out the window for something to open then go move our car. We would not stay there again.

Kate W.

Yelp
We recently hosted an event at the Inn for 35 people. The Inn's event team took our vision for the event to the next level and was able to deliver a memorable experience while not exceeding our budget. Every consideration was made to produce a festive event (beautiful décor, delicious food) and the team also incorporated all of the necessary measures to make the gathering a healthy and safe environment for our guests. I look forward celebrating other special meals and milestones there in the future. I couldn't recommend the Inn at Hastings Park more highly.

Yelp
I have nothing but praise for this lovely & unique gem hidden in one of America's historic sites -Lexington, MA. A world renowned Relais & Chateaux that offered the best of everything. We were greeted by Christa upon our arrival and shown to our gorgeous boutique room especially chosen to even make our Chili Rose welcome with green space just outside our door. Everything about this place was warm & inviting. We enjoyed bevvies at the bar with Tom the bartender, who stayed later so we could enjoy visiting with local friends & a lunch that was out of this world! We travel all over the world and enjoy many nice meals ... the Artistry on the Green offered an original and artistically tasteful menu which we could not get enough of & was by far one of the best meals we've had the pleasure of enjoying! There was not enough time to take in all the great aspects on the fun little INN. We look forward to returning! Thank you to Trisha, Christa, Tom and the rest of the staff that made our stay the best!

Yelp
What a little gem tucked away about 25 minutes or so outside of Boston. Worth every single dime. I booked about two weeks ahead of my trip. A few days before, something came up and I had to reschedule my one night stay. I was nervous they weren't going to be able to help me, but the staff immediately accommodated my needs with warm email exchanges. I should've known that from that point on I was in good hands! After a long and exhausting day exploring Salem/Boston, etc., I headed over to the Inn to check in. The Inn looks like a beautiful New England home, and has two smaller buildings on it's property which also houses more rooms. The lot (free parking, btw) is in the middle of the main building and side/apartment style buildings, and surrounded by rose bushes and trees. Just a very gorgeous ambiance from the get go. Check-in was seamless. I was personally escorted to my room, and was shown how everything worked, where it was, etc. Room service ran until 10pm and I was STARVING. As a person who eats strictly paleo, I knew already my dietary selection could be a problem. Not here! I called over to order room service and they were so incredibly accommodating!! Literally was blown away by how nice the gentleman on the phone was. We scrapped the menu options and he cooked up a 'made to order' meal just for me, and personally delivered it to my room! If that's not service, I don't know what is. Ok now for the room: uh-mazing. I had a corner room on the second floor looking over the parking lot/main street area. It was a beautiful wallpapered damask print design, with what must've been a california king bed with a gorgeous beige linen frame, and the most comfortable plush pillows, sheets, comforter, etc. I haven't slept as well as I slept at this Inn in ages. Even my own bed. It was a dream. My room had a closet filled with extra blankets, pillows and robes, which came in handy since I like to lower my room temperature. I cozied up, turned on a movie, set the TV timer, and slept like a baby. (side note: bathrooms are gorgeous too. marble and tile, chrome finishings, giant shower head, includes hair dryer and tons of free little amenities-- even a nail file!) Check out was also seamless. I love that pretty much every person that works there has the most welcoming, accommodating, and cheerful disposition at every moment, no matter who it is. It was just really uplifting to have that type of customer service. Complimentary breakfast was amazing! What I love is that it's not some crappy continental breakfast, but a full service, menu item breakfast served to you as if you were paying at any upscale breakfast joint. I had their omelet special, which consisted of salmon, shallots and creme fraiche with a choice of side. Topped that with grapefruit juice and hot coffee-- perfect end to send me on my 4 hour car ride back to NYC. I cannot stress enough how much of a GEM this place is. DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK HERE. I am most definitely going to return, and I'm actually coming up with excuses of how I can get back up here, and for longer this time!

Yelp
Had breakfast at the restaurant here this morning and it was delicious. The Inn looks amazing too. I love the classic New England decor. I would highly recommend staying or eating here for anyone visiting the Boston area.

Yelp
Truly wonderful experience staying in this place! Despite being from Massachusetts, I felt like a true New Englander while staying here... the fact that it was built in the 1800s and is down the street from the Statue of Paul Revere takes gives you that atmosphere. Aside from the historical context, the inn is absolutely stunning! Whoever their interior designer is, please come and redesign our townhouse! All the rooms are very new-era Americana and boasts tons of sunlight. The beds felt lavish to sleep in and the rooms/bathrooms were kept extremely clean. Their service was also commendable. They believe in customer service and went out of their way to making our stay worthwhile! I'm definitely booking this place when I bring my Southern boy home to meet the family!!

Yelp
Thought we would walk from our home in Lexington and have dinner, sitting at bar. Ordered Caesar salad (4 lettuce leaves) for $13. The burger was great; fries could be crispier. The coup de grace was the scallop entree at $38. Three, yes count them, three, small scallops, and a few veggies. We complained to no avail. The overworked and overwhelmed bartender did his best.

Yelp
We had to wait over 10 minutes when we arrived to get a cup of coffee. I was so sick of waiting that I went out to the hostess to request a waitstaff. The food was good but for $35/pp I felt they could have included mimosas or bloody marys. There was no fish, i.e, shrimp, white fish. The ambience was delightful but I felt the staff spent more time making sure the tables were cleaned than on the customers in the restaurant itself. I also asked about dessert because with it being a brunch I felt that a dessert should have been offered. Would I go back? Not for brunch - I feel it's too expensive for what you get but I would try dinner.

Yelp
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Inn/restaurant last weekend. Crista, Daniel and Stephen did a superb job managing the event. If anything went wrong, my guests and I certainly wern't aware of it. Crista assisted us every step of the way from the timing/flow of the reception through set up and menu selections. The servers and staff were wonderfully acoommodating and anything we asked for, if it were within their power, they made it happen. The dinner was delicious, every single one of our guests commented on the presentation of the plates and overall taste, saying how exceptional everything was. I think we were their 3rd wedding as the Inn is still within in it's openning year, and you never would have known it. Stephen assisted us with our wine pairings which we also received delightful feedback on. The cake was made and designed in house with very little direction from me and it was beautiful. No one left hungry or thirsty! The Inn was more than accommodating for all our wedding related needs as well. The entire staff bent over backwards for us and truly made our special day unforgettable. The decor and ambiance were perfect for our event, elegant and timeless style without pretention. We had full creative reign of the dinning room, but since it was perfect already, we really had very little to do in that respect. Thank you all so much for such a wonderful day, it really was perfect!

Yelp
I almost never write reviews but our stay at the Inn at Hastings Park was so extraordinary that I had to do so. Our room was beautiful- spacious and with every need anticipated and met elegantly. The staff- to a person- was gracious and went above and beyond to make every moment of our stay a delight. As for dining, our dinner experience could not be better. My wife put it best during dinner when she remarked that every bite was "an explosion of flavor." It's location within walking distance of Lexington Green and on the literary route to Concord make it ideal for anyone interested in American literary or political revolutions. It's access to major highways make it convenient for visitors to Boston as well. Put simply, this is our "go to" oasis in the Boston area.

Yelp
3/17/14- We had the pleasure of spending a night at the Inn at Hastings Park. Our suite in the barn was beautiful and comfortable, the gas fireplace was cozy, and the large bathroom (with huge walk-in shower and deep soaking tub) was luxurious. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable as well. I was delighted to be given a tour by the owner, Trisha Perez Kennealy. The common areas and all of the guest rooms are impeccably decorated. It is obvious that much thought & care went into restoring the property, as well as selecting the furnishings & decor. The staff was welcoming and attentive to our every need. This property is unrivaled in the area. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Incompetent Staff We arrived to the Inn and promptly asked the wait staff @ 9:25 pm if we could something to drink at the bar. We are told they closed at 9:30 pm and that it would not be possible. Then we asked if might sit in the dining room and were told the dining room was closed at 9:30 pm. We asked the bartender and the hostess where we might get a bit to eat and were told by both women that they did not leave there and did not know the area. Luckily, the House Manager heard the conversation and offered us a table for dinner. The next day we arrived to the restaurant to have lunch and were told that it was closed due to a Memorial Service. We asked the male manager if we could suggest a restaurant nearby. We were told that he didn't know of any. And just by chance, someone on staff overhead us, and said "you can have lunch in the living room." Great..........and we did. However, no one seems to know anything at the Inn about surrounding area or the Inn policies. We asked for directions that afternoon and again no one had a clue about the surrounding area. Later that night, we stopped by the bar at 9:25 pm and were told the Bar was closed, but that we could order room service for 2 drinks. Really? The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed our weekend stay but were very disappointed by the incompetency of the Staff.

Yelp
This place was great! The building and decor were all top-notch and the amenities provided in the room were very nice. Having the excellent Artistry on the Green attached to the Inn is a nice bonus -- we had a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and deftly met a handful of special requests we had. We would definitely stay here again if we were coming through Lexington.

Yelp
This place is pure gold. The staff members are all so professional yet friendly and helpful. They all seem sincerely interested in making your stay at the Inn the best it can be..and they did. The Inn is charming and clean. It is a lovely place to spent a few nights or a week if you have the time. The complimentary breakfast at the restaurant is fabulous. The food is terrific and all the servers are kind and thoughtful. We loved everything about the Inn.

Yelp
From the moment we talked through the front door and were greeted by the friendliest voice saying "Hello, Welcome to The Inn at Hastings Park" we knew this was going to be a magical stay. The front desk agent who greeted us when we wondered in the door around 8:30pm knew exactly what we wanted; we wanted to get to our room after a long day of travel from the west coast. She quickly went over the details of our stay while pointing out some of the amazing amenities the Inn had to offer. She covered all of the information we needed and nothing that we didn't. Breakfast was included in our room rate and on the way to our room the times and location of the restaurant was provided. The front desk agent showed us up to our room and offered us several menus if we wanted to order dinner, which could be delivered to the room. They had set up a pack 'n' play for our 1 year old son and had even included a diaper pail for use during our stay. When we arrived in the room they had a stunning amenity located on the desk which my wife and I quickly enjoyed. The room was an lovely combination of historical touches along with modern design and amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept on and the chairs in the corner of the room quickly became one of our favorite places to site and feed our son, read a book, or just enjoy a glass of wine. One of the items that we had forgotten to request when making the reservation was a mini-fridge for our son's food. When we called down around 9:30 pm requesting this be brought up the same lovely front desk agent was quick to oblige. It took no more than 5 minutes for the fridge to arrive. When it was all set up, it was discovered that it wasn't as clean on the inside as the front desk agent would have liked so she took the fridge away and brought back a new one without hesitation. The next morning we woke up and went to breakfast before our day of exploring Boston and the surrounding areas. The breakfast we had was amazing. They even brought some toast and fruit for our son who had recently developed a love for fresh blueberries. The staff in the restaurant was amazing and provided us with everything we could have wanted to start our day right. After a day away from the Inn we returned around 6:00 pm and were informed of a concert in the park taking place across the street which we quickly went out to enjoy. We also asked about ice cream in the area and we were informed that there were 2 little shops in downtown Lexington which was only a 10 minute walk from the Inn (through the Lexington Green and by other historical landmarks - which is REALLY cool for us west coast people). When we were forced to leave the following morning our whole family was sorry to be going but so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at one of the best properties on the east coast. We look forward to returning on our next east coast trip and we will be encouraging everyone we know who is visiting the Boston/Lexington area to stay at The Inn at Hastings Park.

Yelp
I spent a lovely weekend in Mass here at The Inn. It was a lovely stay over all and if I would have absolutely given it five stars if it were not to some minor flaws. When we arrived the front desk was attentive and kind. Our room was not ready so they sat us at a table at the Artistry (which was absolutely wonderful) for lunch. After lunch we were shown to our room. Here is where we had one of the minor problems, we had asked for two beds instead of one, yet we were given a room with one king. It was a minor miss and easily corrected but it was just a little detail that would have been nice. This lack of attention to detail followed for the next three days. Every night the bed was nicely made but our towels were never replenished. In the morning, guests are given breakfast at the hotel restaurant. However, the were also serving non-hotel guests at the same time. While normally this would not have been a problem, the restaurant seemed to be understaffed and every morning it would take us around an 45 minutes to an hour to get seated and be served our food. On a positive note, the entire staff was more than kind and always accommodating. They gave wonderful recommendations for activities and it was a lovely treat to always have hot coffee and tea just outside our room. Also, the hotel is very close to the Alewife T stop which is great for commuting to Boston for the day to avoid parking fees. Overall, the room was lovely, the bed was fluffy, and I enjoyed staying here very much. I plan on coming back next Columbus day with high expectations and I would recommend this Inn for anyone headed to the Boston area.

Yelp
In March, I came to the Inn for dinner and was delighted not only by the meal at the Artistry on the Green, but the ambiance of the entire property. The wallpaper's character, welcoming staff, and quaint aura will certainly bring me back.

Yelp
STAY AWAY! We recently stayed at the Inn for a friend's wedding in the area. The wedding party had a large number of rooms at the Inn and after the wedding Saturday came back to enjoy the rest of the night. The manager continuously threatened to call the cops on us despite no complaints from other guests, no music playing, and the noise level quieter than a TV. For ~$300 for less than 24hrs of stay it wasn't nearly worth the rudeness.
