The Inn’s annex nearby, at Via dei Condotti 48, offers some quiet rooms with interior courtyard views and others that face onto the street. The building, formerly an 18 th -century noble townhouse, has been embellished in somewhat generic Old World meets contemporary decor, but there are a few accents that set it apart from the neighboring properties, such as traces of period frescoes in the deluxe rooms and the wrought-iron balconies in rooms facing onto Via dei Condotti and Piazza di Spagna. But it’s not hard to divert your eyes away from the spectacular city views, thanks to the warm reception area and lovely staff, keen to make your time in Rome the best it can be. The atmosphere is traditional but comforting, a bit like stopping by a stylish relative's house. Nice. What’s the crowd like?This is a ‘friend of a friend’ hotel—everyone here’s on a recommendation, or they’re one of that special clique of traveller who only stay at the Leading Hotels of the World. Spot their designer luggage first, they’ll soon follow. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.The Luxury Executive Double Rooms come with polished floors and striped wallpaper. While the rooms aren’t new, they all have some cosy touches, like big leather armchairs, and a decorative fireplace that creates a cozy vibe. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Some of the king-size beds are canopied, but they’re all comfortable, with velour cushions that somehow manage to look good, rather than cheesy. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.The striped wallpaper continues in the bathroom, giving it a wholesome, historic feel.
