"Two-for-one wells, wines, and drafts during happy hour pair well with rotating food specials like fish and chips, Irish nachos, and buttery pretzel bites served with an alarmingly yellow (yet delicious) cheese sauce. Mellow diners are advised to avoid the downstairs dance crowds and sit on the upstairs patio. Extensive seating and multiple heat lamps make the upper deck an ideal spot for afternoon drinks and bites, no matter the weather." - Camila Navarrette

It's okay, but there are better places around I think. I ordered the sampler and it was okay, the wings were dry. Best thing was the chicken tenders. Wife ordered Fish & Chips and had no complaints. It's not bad, but not really good. I'd recommend checking out a different Pub if you want a more authentic experience. Service is also slow, but they're nice so it evens out.

Google
This pub is one of my top picks in Denver. The Guinness is always fresh, and the food never disappoints. My group enjoyed burgers, fries, hummus, and a variety of drinks—all of which I highly recommend. The atmosphere is relaxed but livens up in the evenings. The servers are friendly, and the overall vibe is fantastic. Don't miss out on this spot. Additionally, it's an excellent venue for corporate meetings, wedding receptions, and other private events.

Google
It's an Irish pub with a nice selection of Irish beers on tap. Only had Finger foods, but they were very good. And the service and atmosphere was great. Plenty of room for our large group. You won't be disappointed.

Jon Smith

Google
Had fish and chips and curry sauce. Chips were a tad (very) salty, but had chips three times on a trip to Denver and 3 out of 3 had salty chips, so assume it's a regional thing. But the fish was really good. Small, but cooked well, tasty and moist. And having curry sauce was icing on the cake. Again, very good. Service was great and we had the cider which again was very good. Will happily return here again.

Came here because it's a rooftop pub. Great for watching people and the sunset, (when the weather is good). Half off wings on Wednesday were a great deal, cooked just the way I like them. Happy hour drinks were good. Best part of the evening was the server, Emily, who was very attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Service almost always makes the visit, and in this case it absolutely did.

Google
Came on St. Patrick’s day for the first time, and was not disappointed. Yes it was crowded when we got there around 1pm, but that was when the CES Pipe Band was there and playing (they NAILED it by the way) so people were crowded trying to enjoy the show. After they stopped playing it thinned out a bit more. The service was good and reliable–especially considering it was a very busy day. The Irish egg rolls were super tasty and the food came out pretty quick! The rooftop deck is really nice, and the vibe overall was very positive and chill. If you’re searching for a classic pub, you’re definitely in the right place!

Google
Corned beef egg rolls were absolutely amazing. The Ruben is pretty darn good as well. The staff is friendly. You have to check out the rooftop patio. It's great!

Curry fries on St. Patrick's day is one of the few things I can remember from that night. The place was packed staff were flying around everywhere, but the curry fries were absolutely amazing. Would definitely crush some drinks and food on any day.

Yelp
Enjoyed going to Irish Rover Pub immensely! Their Taco Tuesday deal is so incredibly hard to beat. From 3pm-10pm every Tuesday enjoy $1 delicious tacos, what a steal! Definitely try out their rooftop for a different kind of ambiance from their main level. The rooftop has lots of seating, fire places, and heaters! Their servers were also super nice and accommodating, even being so kind as to turn off the heaters as it was getting a little too toasty with them on. Will definitely be going back for one of their other weekly special nights!

Allen C.

Yelp
Decent pub with plenty of seating space and lots of areas to spread out if you're in a large group and want to catch up w/ friends. Decent drinks and beer selection as expected. There's a nice upstairs patio area that's covered (although no heating was turned on and no firepits were available), with plenty of seating and additional bars to order your drinks. No live music the night we were there, but they're definitely set up for fun events and large groups. Servers at the bars and doing rounds were decent, friendly folk.

Yelp
This place is a local gem!!! Absolutely love this bar - the vibe, the staff, the prices... and even the food! Made our first stop here New Year's Day eve... just out walking the neighborhood checking places out and stumbled across it. And how lucky are we... it was open mic comedy night! We had a great time... had a few drinks and a few laughs. Talked to the staff and loved them... and decided we'd definitely be back for one of their many other events. Oh, and did I mention they have a heated rooftop? What what?

Devon D.

Yelp
Irish rover is simply amazing, so many good options to eat! Spinach avocado omelette if you want light, shrimp tacos if you want something middle of the road! Without a doubt our fav brunch spot! Mimosas are a great libation upgrade if you want things boozy!

Tony M.

Yelp
Got a mezcal marg which was delicious and strong to cool down on a Sunday afternoon. Bartenders are great and friendly. Service is great and amazing roof top bars

Edie A.

Yelp
What a deal! $10 bottomless mimosas with the purchase of an entree. No wonder this place made Westword's 100 Bars We Can't Live Without for 2023. Service is fast and friendly. Brunch has several, tasty options. I went for the Sassy Eggs which was a plentiful, spicy option of chorizo, jalapeños, potatoes, red peppers, and eggs your way. Nice chill place to spend on a Sunday morning.

Beka R.

Yelp
ALL 5 STARS FOR TACO TUES HERE! Might regret this bc I don't want this place to get tooooo crowded. But on the other hand, everyone deserves at least one taco Tuesday here. Our faves are the shrimp and steak tacos but honestly they're all BOMB. Staff is incredible here too - we love seeing Sam on the rooftop every time we go! That rooftop is also perfect for summer (and winter since they have cute fires to sit around). There's a ton to do within a few blocks if this spot too! Cutie shops, desert and cocktail spots, a stellar goodwill, so many things

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in Denver. The Guinness is fresh, and the food is good. My group had burgers, fries, hummus and a few drinks - all highly recommended. The ambiance is pretty laid back, and gets pumped up during the evenings. Friendly servers and a great vibe. Don't miss visiting this pub. They also are a great corporate meeting venue in Denver, and have space for wedding receptions and other private events.

Yelp
Six of us brunch regularly on Sundays on the roof patio. The staff has always been fantastic, the food good and the bottom-less Mimosas come in a carafe since several of us are partaking. Last Sunday our waiter Orin was so rude we actually thought it was a TIkTok spoof of something. One of our party's food came with the addition of a half-dead fly that would not be fly off the food and kept walking around the plate despite trying to push it away. When we asked our server about it, he said "you're eating outside". True, but there was no acknowledgement that a fly stuck in the food was unacceptable. When asked if he would have eaten it, there was no response. Orin became surly (feel sorry for him as he must have been having a bad day) we finished and left. The fly person didn't eat anything fearing waiter retribution. The carafe of bottom-less Mimosas was a warm pint glass of orange juice and champagne, shared by two of us. Please Irish Rover straighten out what is going on. We have always loved this place but can't bring ourselves to come back.

Trish A.

Yelp
Looks like they have a nice variety of food to choose from. We didn't order food, but would like to try it. We were upstairs which is a nice area. It is a bar, we were carded and it was noisy. The waitress did come over, but we ordered downstairs.

Amy V.

Yelp
New to Denver. Wanted to find another local brunch spot. Food was excellent and the staff even better. Ian talked with me the whole time, even though he took great care of his tables. I will be back!

Stefanie C.

Yelp
This bar is known for their trivia and comedy nights. I came here with my best friend for a few beers (and fries) while we waited for our dinner reservation at Uncle. We sat at the end of the bar and experienced decent customer service and selection of booze. Typical neighborhood pub in Denver. While it's not my favorite bar on Broadway, I'd come back for the reliably laidback environment and try more of their food.

Robert K.

Yelp
The food was delicious. I found myself wanting to order more black pudding, for take out. My wife loves her skillet and the kids were a fan of the chicken tender meals. The waitress was very professional and courteous. My only problem here is the parking. Felt like a vulture, circling and waiting for someone to leave. Chill environment and several TV's to watch which ever sport you want. 100% highly recommend this restaurant

Shin M.

Yelp
Came here for Monday comedy night. Got here around 750pm ish and was able to snag a table by the stage. Performance started after 8. Most of the comics were not very funny, but I applaud them for getting up there and trying! I recognized a couple from comedy works new talent night. I got a Shirley temple which was mostly just sprite ($3). Servers constantly checked in and were friendly. The $1 sliders were tempting! Overall something to do on a Monday night!

Quyen N.

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly service. It's a pub. What else do you need? They have daily specials so check those out. I love their fish & chips.

Savannah K.

Yelp
Went to the Irish Rover for Trivia on a Wednesday night which is also wing night. The trivia was very well put together, the bar had lots of TVs to watch games, and good food and drink options.

Phil A.

Yelp
Sassy eggs on top and the chicken and biscuits for me. (Camera did not eat first) Recommend this spot again Had Sam for maybe the third time and he's amazing. Sit upstairs and ask for him

Sage K.

Yelp
Definitely my least favorite bar on this section of Broadway. They always have cops inside so you immediately feel unsafe. The pickle shots are really sweet, they don't have any spice so you end up tasting just vodka which ruins the point of a pickle shot. The vibes are also super off, the DJ only plays songs that are about 5+ years old literally. If you go two nights in a row you'll probably hear all of the exact same music in the exact same order, it's just an old outdated playlist that shows they don't really care about people having a good time or returning to the venue. I would go to Dougherty's if you want an Irish bar vibe that does everything a lot better.

Alisa J.

Yelp
Such a great bar with amazing food! We went here for our night out in this area. The bar looks small when you walk in but when you go upstairs where they serve food it's surprisingly very big. The heaters are great and the tables with the fire pit things are so cute. Lighting is also cute as well. Our server was nice and it didn't take too long to get our orders in. I decided to get a martini on the rocks for some reason which I never do and it wasn't great lol. My friends got some kind of whiskey coffee drink off of the pretty big coffee drinks menu they had and their drinks were really really good. I also had the Reuben egg rolls and they were so so good. I was happy with this portion as an entree for myself even though it is an appetizer. They are surprisingly big and filling. And they came out piping hot. I would definitely get these again. My friends got burgers and loved them. Overall we were very happy with this place. Warning they don't accept discover credit card here!!!

Rachel S.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is an amazing deal at Irish Rover! Every Tuesday they offer $1 tacos so a great price and delicious dinner. During winter they have the upstairs outside heated and covered so you can go any time around the year.

Max B.

Yelp
I don't write reviews, this is my first ever, but I was so disappointed with the Irish Rover. Just moving here and living a block away I saw an Irish Pub and needed to stop in, I love my Reuben's. Stopped in on Sunday looking for a couple beers and some food and the downstairs bar rail was full, being a bartender myself I like to sit at the rail, so I went upstairs to find it relatively empty with 3 tables and a couple at the bar. Got a beer and asked the bartender if I could get food up there and she answered yes. Then didn't hear a word for the next 30 minutes and 10 of those minutes with an empty beer until I just asked to pay up. I sat there with an empty beer for 10 minutes while 4 different employees were behind the bar, it was a little mind blowing. Went to The Historian down the street instead that was twice as busy with one bartender running the whole place and had killer food and better service. I'll give the Irish Rover another try, but that was disappointing.

Yelp
I'm not even too sure where to start. We rented the Rover for a private party and from the gorgeous event room, to the utterly amazing staff who were always within reach anticipating all of our needs without ever being in the way, the great food, the seriously affordable price, the immaculate facility, the incredibly kind owner... I don't know if I've ever had an event go more smoothly or been happier than I am with the Rover. The crew, including the kitchen staff, whom I wish I could have thanked in person, took our evening to a new level and you all have my absolute gratitude.

David P.

Yelp
I have been going to the Irish Rover for more than 15 yrs. My favorite bartender was Danny. I got into conversation with someone whose political views were very conservative. We talked, without rancor, for about an hour. Then we were asked to leave. Apparently some employee was hurt by my political opposites views. I am now banned from the Rover. What kind of an "Irish Pub," is that where differences of opinion can cause the help to get one thrown out. Ironically the action by the Rover's management served to emphasize the conservatives viewpoint when it came to the,'cancel culture.' Pathetic.

Morgan A.

Yelp
We came in for brunch and sat on the upstairs patio. I was very pleasantly surprised with the spacious covered patio. Once it warmed up a bit the patio covers were pulled back and we got to soak up the sun while enjoying our meal. I got the steak tacos and a bloody mary. I previously was under the impression that the Irish Rover Pub was just that a pub. Coming here for brunch completely changed my view of this spot. The steak tacos were simple and delicious. Corn tortillas, steak, white onion, and cilantro were exactly what I was in the mood for and the salsa was delicious as well! I love a good bloody mary and the Irish Rover once again impressed me with a pretty well-balanced bloody that wasn't too thick or briny. Service wasn't anything out of the ordinary and leaned toward the slower side. We didn't mind since it was such a beautiful morning and the outdoor patio was kick ass! All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit and will come back to enjoy the patio again.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Total disclosure: we spent HOURS here, lol, one Sunday afternoon. And we had a great a time. The bar staff is friendly and accommodating - we moved locations several times, just to mix it up, and your tab can move with you, or you can cash out like we did and start anew. We enjoyed lunch right before coming to The Irish Rover Pub and so didn't immediately order food. Hours later, though, we share some pretzel bites. These guys were really tasty and cooked well. Drink prices were affordable (did I mentioned we stayed for hours - this should speak volumes all by itself, lol) and their selection was diverse as well. Be careful though, you may find yourself there all day!

Crissa P.

Yelp
Nice Irish pub with a decent selection on the menu. The veggie burger patties are top notch. It tasted kind of like a crunchy stuffing which was a nice change from most veggie patties. They also offer brunch.

Emily G.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch/lunch on 12/3. Service was fine for drinks. I ordered the Avocado Burger off the menu. When our food arrived, the server said "here's the Avocado burger, no avocado. Sorry we're out." No other explanation, and he just puts the burger on the table. You would think that once they realize one of the main ingredients of the dish is out they would relay that to the table's waitress, or even the customer, but there was no communication until the food was already on the table. I would not have ordered just a plain hamburger. We asked our waitress about this, and she offered 1 shot because of this. No comped meal or anything, just one free shot which I was not interested in. Pretty bad communication and service all around.

Yelp
Get yourself out on a Monday night to the Irish Rover Open-Mic comedy show ......the place was packed with people when I went. There was a perfect variety of amateur comedians ....no worries if you don't laugh at one cause 3 minutes later a new one come on stage to entertain you..... it is frenetic but somehow it works .... It's easy to talk humor outside as the comedians gather there before or after their bits. Give it a try...

Angela H.

Yelp
No idea about these categories, but if you want to eyeball adorable staff ... good spot. Bloody Mary and cider are delicious ... don't ask me about the rest.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Went here for the first time recently. We tried a variety of items from the menu. The Irish egg rolls are unique and a must-try. Everything else was delicious, too, and service was excellent. I also got a chance to see the Limerick Room for private events. Amazing space and reasonable rates. Highly recommend!

Rosa R.

Yelp
Best Irish pub my friends from Iowa state would love it so much. If they were in the mood for any fun.

Anastasia O.

Yelp
Love this place. Our server was so fun and cute- I think her name was Madelyn. She had such a vibe and was attentive to every detail and need of ours. 10/10. Would go back just for her.

Toba Z.

Yelp
Still the best pub! Great staff and libations. The Guinness and the curry sauce are perfect.

Sid R.

Yelp
Irish Rover has free stand up comedy every Monday night at 8 and I absolutely love it! I've been going for months and it is a guaranteed way to chuckle. They also have $1 sliders!!!

Cameron V.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is elite!!! You honestly can't beat the deal, especially for that level of quality.

Brenda R.

Yelp
Ok food. Egg white omelet & Irish breakfast. Very filling. Bottomless mimosas were ok, great service!!!

Leah S.

Yelp
The irish rover is exactly the kind of dive you'd expect it to be, greasy okay food, dark enough lighting not to see the stains on the walls, a horrible weekend crowd of the drunkest people you've ever seen listening to really bad early 2000s music. The bartenders do their best considering they are using fabulouso to mop up the bathrooms constantly also the bouncers are really kind. the only real highlight is the comedy night on Mondays, otherwise don't waste your time.

Eilen S.

Yelp
So I did not get a chance to have their food, although the menu looked delicious and prices seemed decent. This was actually our first place we have visited after quarantine restrictions have been lifted and we will definitely be returning. We got to sit upstairs with a view of the streets in a cozy spot to chat and it was a nice relaxing night with good beer and good vibes. Dont Forget to wear your mask or u will not be allowed inside.

Abigail W.

Yelp
We stopped in on a stupid hot day and because they were having an event downstairs, we were directed to the rooftop seating. But it all worked out - thank goodness for the water misters they have running! Our service was quick and friendly and the food was really good! We expected more beer options but I tried my first Guinness and only regret it a little.

Tacos T.

Yelp
Holy jeebus. This menu is about as Irish as a Chinese menu would be. There's two dishes on the entire menu that can be identified as food you'd find on a traditional Irish pub menu: fish and chips and shepherds pie. I'll give them a the burger and maybe the corned beef egg rolls, since most Irish pubs do serve a burger and least corned beef is traditional Irish fare, albeit not in egg roll form. Where's the finnan haddie, the chowder, the bangers and mash, Guinness or lamb stew, colcannon, boxty, soda bread etc.? Go get a cookbook.

Ashley K.

Yelp
You have to have Madeline as your server!! She's absolutely incredible and personable and so fun! We love her!

Melanie W.

Yelp
Totally wish I could give 4.5 stars. After an extremely long day sightseeing we came back to town to get Voodoo donuts and find something to eat. This was close and not busy so we grabbed a table. Let me just say our waitress was excellent! I wanted a local beer and to told her my likes and she recommended the Avalanche by Breckenridge Brewery. So good! We enjoyed their pretzels as an app then my husband and I both got their Blackened Chicken Salads while my son got a burger and my father Fish and Chips. That fish was the bomb! My son raved about his burger as well. This is a hidden gem so make sure you give them a try.

Kayla K.

Yelp
I have come to the Irish Rover for drinks on the roof top for years but had no idea I would enjoy their brunch so much! I love all of the delicious foodie brunch options in Denver but sometimes the scene is exhausting. It is nice that this is a place you can just walk into on a Sunday with no line and no reservations needed. The drinks and food are delicious and the prices are great. It is always so wonderful to sit on the rooftop on a nice Denver day. Just don't forget a hat or sunscreen like I did (not associating brunch with sitting in direct sun)!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Stopped in on Saturday for a drink and snacks around happy hour time. We grabbed a table and were greeted by a server pretty quickly. The Rover is a pub and definitely feels like one. It's a bit loud and a little on the dark side. It was pretty cold so wanted a hot drink with a nip. Ended up with the peppermint cocoa. A few sips warmed up. We ordered the hummus plate and pretzels w/ dip. The hummus is okay, but those pretzels right out of the fryer should be criminal. So damn good! After our first round of drinks were served, the attention got to be a bit slow. Our food was served to another table who seemed perplexed before we waved the food runner down. It took quite a while to be able to order a second round of drinks. To be fair, next to us was a large table of 8 folks or so piled together so they were requiring a lot of help. We gave up trying to get the 3rd round of drinks and just got the check, which sat with us until I took it and the payment up to the bar to settle up. It wasn't that busy, so perhaps they were just a little short staffed that day and trying to multitask. I wouldn't write them off and would come back again.

Karina M.

Yelp
I liked the happy hour here! Burger sliders were 1$ for Monday's and 1$ tacos for taco Tuesday !!! For happy hour it's from 4-7pm 1$ off the drinks. Only thing I did not like was that my bartender had said he did not have time to put salt on my moms margarita. Other then that he did a good job! Will recommend to anyone wanting to go to a Irish pub !

Mark C.

Yelp
Cool place, nice upstairs patio. Crap Rap music playing the whole time. Motherfr this motherfr that. Irish pub on the outside, garbage music inside.

Isaiah C.

Yelp
Superb! We went during the free comedy night on Monday night. $1 sliders and super cheap drinks! And the comedy show was free!

Christina V.

Yelp
Best food, great service. Had my wedding reception here yrs ago. They helped sooo much. Omg those Irish egg rolls!! Large variety of drinks and food. Day and night it's also a bar, the roof top is wonderful. Great staff. Clean and friendly environment! Love this place.

Evangelia S.

Yelp
This Irish pub is always a safe choice. We love going there for brunch and having their breakfast skillet and the Irish breakfast. The dinner menu is also decent and their rooftop patio is always nice in summer nights.

Snow K.

Yelp
Was once a good or even great Irish pub, but a few things drag it down bigtime. Although the service and ambiance is not bad upstairs (no hip hop thankfully up there), around 9pm the place starts to become some sort of creepy hip-hop "night club," such that the best place to have dinner is jacked up with weird club lighting, and music that has no place in an Irish pub. It also looks like the original side of the bar (just north) is not being used. And, sadly, the ultra-mediocre-to-bad/weak Breckinridge line of beer dominates their beer menu. Not good. Good bars don't serve that crap (better to drink regular American beer, or some real craft brewery's stuff that cares about quality to an honest degree).
