This is THE PLACE in Wichita Falls. Good people, good drinks, good music. Anytime I end up in North Texas I stop here and it never disappoints. The crowd and atmosphere are what make this place! It has a "local music" and "everyone's welcome" atmosphere. Love this place. Don't change.

We attended Desperado concert event and wow what a great place, great show, met Jenna and she is the bomb! So attentive to customers and friendly as were the entire bar staff! Well done Iron Horse Pub!!

Nice, they have two pool tables but ,don't go there for a game of pool, and you're good. The atmosphere is friendly, overall a nice bar/pub.

Awesome place to go hear live music and hang out. They have every kind of music play just depends on what night you go. The staff is super nice and the place is clean. Plenty of parking all around outside.

This pub has a very laidback, Cheers type of vibe. The bartender was very nice and we had a great conversation. The bar was clean and the lighting was perfect. There were a lot of locals in for a drink and that really contributed to the hometown feel.

This place absolutely ROCKS! The few negative YELP reviews are surprising and definitely the exception. The staff is really friendly, even when they are bombarded on live music night. Most understanding guests expect to wait a bit when the house is packed. The owners bring in all types of live music to provide a variety to eventually please everyone. Thus, something for everybody from Caribbean, Country, and Tribute bands, to a rocking Dueling Pianos Show. Pick your night - there is something for everybody...

Awesomeness incarnate. I miss the spicy unshells peanuts from years gone by. AC/DC tribute band played, destroyed the place, mooned the crowd. Slayed the place.

By far the best place in Wichita Falls for live music!! They bring in some of the greatest bands available for your enjoyment ... Kris Lager, Del Castillo, Wes Jeans, Malford Milligan, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights. They have some great tribute bands in the round too ... Queen For A Day, Back In Black, Rock N Roll Over to name a few. I don't drink alcohol so I cannot comment on that part of the venue. I can say the employees there are some of the kindest folks in town. The place will be even better now with the new Non-smoking City Ordinances in place. Drop in to Hargrove's next door for a quick bite ... love their Pork Chop dinner.

This place black smokes for itself. Not irish , not irish, again Not irish in any sense, but average, live music may be the only reasonable catch

They have a decent selection of beer and the bartender was cool, BUT, how in the world can they classify this as an Irish Pub?? Being Irish and an ND grad, I can say with conviction that if you're looking for a real Irish pub, keep looking. This is just a bar with Guinness and a couple of shamrock lights

I probably shouldn't even review this bar but will drop a quick note. We were in Wichita Falls for just one night and we wanted to run into a happy hour to have a beer before going out to a nice dinner. We stopped into this bar about 5:30 pm on a Thursday and we walked right back out because the smoke was so thick. It was a dark bar (with no windows, I think) and the smoke was too heavy to enjoy a beer. We are non-smokers, so this might be a great bar for smokers to enjoy.

Wanted to go listen to live music after dinner with friends in the downtown area. This was my SECOND time there in a year, walked in and paid the cover charge. Waited at the bar to get drinks. Stood there for about 20 minutes with the bartenders filling orders for waitstaff, a few bar patrons. We went back to bouncer and got our cover back and left! If you're going to have a band on a Saturday night and charging a cover, you need more bartenders. Anyway, won't be back. Tried twice.

Absolutely love this pub. My husband and I are relatively new to Wichita Falls and we have the very best time at the Iron Horse Pub. everyone is super friendly, the serve is great, the bands are amazing. We always look forward to stopping in for a night cap. I especially like that the owners are in their business, they are constantly talking to customers and asking questions. It shows they know how to run a business.

So, the beer tastes like every other bar, of course. Here's the problem: ENTRAPMENT The bouncer stands 5' INSIDE the legal area where he can tell you he CAN'T allow you in IF you already have a beer in your hand when you approached the establishment. Word to the wise: make sure you don't accidentally walk over from the Art&Soul Festival with a Miller Lite in your hand and walk 1' into his "designated area" or he won't allow you into his bar. The thing is: my Friend dropped her empty beer can into the trash as soon as he said he couldn't allow her in because of her beer but he still said he couldn't allow her in. Really. This guy should stand at the area where the "outside drinks" are not allowed and then let his patrons throw away their drinks legally and enter. What is WRONG with these bouncers???? Fun place if you can get past the low IQ bouncers. Apparently, THIS is their piece of CONTROL in the universe.

I will give them they had the best Guinness that I've had in a long while. I don't have anything really negative aside from the fact that there were some drinks I thought they would have had but didn't. The bartender was friendly, but the place was noisy-at the same time it's a bar. If you complain about the noise, or smokiness of a bar, then you've never been to a bar before. No music on that night, so I was glad not to have to worry about any cover charge. You know what, I think I would definitely come here again

Among my favorite places to visit when I breeze through town. The craft beers are fantastic! The live music on Fridays is totally worth checking out. The servers and bartenders are fantastic, but Angela is THE BEST!

It's always a good time at The Pub. They have a great selection of brew and the only nice place that you can go a listen to great live music and still be able to have a converstion with your friends

I go into this establishment everytime I go out there to visit. There is a really cute blonde server chick named Angela and she is hands down the best at what she does. I love this place becuase of her!!!!!

Visiting from California looking for some local flavor and we found the Coolest bar in Texas. We got there about 5 for happy hour and the locals were extremely welcoming. Beer was ice cold and Nicole behind the bar was a sweetheart. It is an Irish/Texan bar with a great feel and they have an awesome venue in the back for music, meetings or whatever. I recommend a local favorite of coffee flavored tequila floated with Bailey's. it is called a mini-Guinness and it does look like a small Guinness. Served ice cold and really tasty. Might be slightly dangerous they are so easy to drink. Definetly will return.

The iron horse pub is a great place to visit. I love their selection of craft beers on tap . Happy hour is amazing and so are their daily specials. Tuesday has an amazing special for industry folks as well. If you love live music i would def recomend visiting any friday or saturday night as they are always featuring new artists , local and out of town bands. Their staff is always friendly , accomidating and knowlegable .

I recommend this bar to anyone who wants a good time.the bands that were there were there were both cover bands but were both really good.i spend $60 but well worth it. I gotta say, I had a good time. I'll be back.

Walked in and smelled the cigarette smoke and immediately walked out. Even though it's against the law here, everyone was smoking. This is a bar for locals who like to smoke, that's it.

This is actually a pretty sweet little TX bar, with a big stage and dance floor and nice selection of brews on tap. There's plenty of seat space, great bartenders and a really accommodating doorman who waved the band cover charge for us since we were just stopping in for one after-work-beer. Thanks for allowing us to celebrate a stellar work day, in a good old fashioned southern dive bar.

You know, this was easily my favorite bar in Wichita Falls during my 6 month stay in the area. I enjoyed the music mainly because places playing Rock music in Wichita seemed few and far between. Some nights the cover was kinda pricy, but the atmosphere made up for it. The real reason to go here though, was the beer selection, the Iron Horse easily had the best draft selection of any of the bars I made it to. The staff was really pleasant and quick, even when it got busy, and it does get very busy some nights. Now that my friends and I are gone, we still sometimes talk about how nice it'd be to grab a beer at the Horse.

Well, was really digging this place until the bar manager or the owner, not sure which, decided to start talking trash and trying to belittle me because evidently he thinks he knows more about beer than me. All this after I tried to give my thoughts to another guest asking my opinion of a special $13 beer on the Oskar Blues tap takeover menu who didn't know if he would like a beer this style. Who would of thought, he thought the beer was too bourbony. I'm glad you know so much about beer, go spread your wealth of knowledge at someone else's bar or stop shitting on your own customers at your own bar.

Had a wonderful time here, came on a Wednesday and they had a open mic, the singers were funny and very good.

Cool bar, it hurts to be dead plays here from time to time and they are awesome!! Anytime you see their coming to play you need to be at this bar! Aside from that they showcase a lot of other local bands and get some cool ones from out of town. Want to see a cool band in Wichita Falls? This is one of the places to do that.

Great drink prices, great staff, but everyone was smoking. I could hardly breath. I real shame.

As far as a great dive this place has everything other than communication if ur gonna reserve a table don't be surprised they forgot to put it down

Daniel Ahearn is doing it right. Open 10+ years, he and his staff take care of their customers and that's why they've been around so long. Live music, full bar and great atmosphere. My only complaint is excessive cigarette smoke but WF is going non-smoking so one day, that will change.

Pro's; Just a great overall place to have a beer or mixed drink. Good bands on the weekends. Friendly atmosphere. Pool tables. friendly staff. Con's: location could be much better.

I went to see a band there (it hurts to be dead) super cool place. Waitresses were on top of everything and the prices were fair.

If you find yourself looking for a pub in Wichita Falls, you must go to the ONLY one that redeems this city. They regularly have live music, a couple of pool tables, friendly staff, a properly poured cocktail, good beer... I really have no complaints here.

This bar is truly as good as it gets in WF. As other posters have said, they often have live music (with a cover), and the bartenders know how it's done. Their beer selection is quite good, and they do carry a few wine options. I don't do mixed drinks or cocktails, but my friends who do always seemed happy with their drinks. If your looking for that classic pub atmosphere found in bigger cities, this is THE place to go in WF.

Iron Horse Pub has been in Wichita Falls over a decade. Great drink specials and excellent selection of bands. Lots of regional acts from DFW play here. Drawback? The ventilation system is not that great so there's lots of cigarette smoke.

The management were very kind enough to give me a refund later that night and got in touch with me afterwards to apologise and let me know that they would re-train their employees on how to handle their customers. More businesses should respond in this manner.

My wife and I came here for our birthdays. When we asked our waitress if they did any special birthday shots or something she said no, but she would buy us our first round. Very cool. PBR for $2 every day all day and shiner for $2.50, not bad at all. They also have a fairly large variety of beer which is awesome. We saw two bands play here that night and they were both great. All and all a very enjoyable experience. We did have to pay a $15 cover charge, but I understand that went to the bands which played for around 4 hours. We will definitely be back.

Easily my favorite bar in town. The beer selection is one of the best in Wichita Falls, and the atmosphere is really relaxing. You don't feel like you're in a meat market, and the crowd seems consist of a lot of people that didn't just turn 21, so things are less obnoxious than at say a larger bar or club. They have the best open mic in town, you can see a lot of really talented local performers and there is no cover charge. They get a nice variety of bands that play different genres on weekends, so you could see a country show on a Friday and a blues-rock band on Saturday. Cover is reasonable, especially considering a lot of the bands travel pretty far to get here. Service is great, there's plenty of seating, and they even take reservations if you want to save a table when a popular band is playing to ensure you get a front row seat. Plus, an actual Irish guy owns it, it doesn't get more authentic than that here in Wichita Falls.

The Iron Horse is a great place to meet friends for drinks and always excellent bands !!! The most important thign is they serve GUINNESS !! Why would any one want to drink anything else????? Like the first time visitor to the USA when he drank his first American beer. He said" Put it back in the horse !!!"

Fantastic food, great ambiance, and lovely staff. Highly recommend for a night on the town or just a regular night out. We had a great waitress, I think her name was Angela, she was positively wonderful. Great service! I will be going back again and again!

Best bar in Texas. Danny , John, Ronnie and the crew will take care of you. They are big in the community. Also have local and national talent that gets the party started.

Best bar in WF only place to get a proper Guiness as well as other seasonal and international beers on tap. Good music, friendly regulars, and very friendly staff
