London’s New Restaurant Openings

"The Italian Bakery is moving. The much-loved Walthamstow deli and pizzeria is taking their meatball pies and pistachio cannoli to Forest Road, a short 15-minute walk away. We recently checked out The Italian Bakery. Read our first thoughts here.    " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The Italian Bakery - Review - Walthamstow - London - The Infatuation

"At The Italian Bakery, there are no queues, there’s no hype, and it doesn’t serve the best Italian food or pizza in London. But that's kind of what's great about this Walthamstow spot. It’s just a warm, friendly neighbourhood restaurant where we pop in for some TLC and bubbling lasagne after a bad day. Children nibble at crisp pepperoni slices, walking sticks are propped up next to seats outside, and the pleasingly chewy Neapolitan-style pies are delivered and dispatched quickly. Our go-to order is a salsiccia and friarielli pizza, a bottle of bitter Sicilian chinotto, and a Nutella cannoli for later. And by later, we mean the bus ride home." - Sinéad Cranna

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Italian Gem – Absolutely Loved It! We visited The Italian Bakery today for lunch and it truly felt like stepping straight into Italy. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, authentic and welcoming. The whole team are Italian, and you can genuinely taste the passion and quality in everything they serve. The menu is varied with something for everyone, including great vegetarian and gluten-free options. Everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the staff were brilliant at recommending dishes — every suggestion was spot-on. The highlight for me was the pistachio tiramisu… honestly the best I’ve ever had! It’s reasonably priced too, and we loved the food so much we even ordered a pizza to take away for dinner. As we’re not local, we wanted to try as many options as we could! The environment is warm, friendly and inclusive, with great accessibility for wheelchair users. The staff were attentive, kind, and made the whole experience feel special. A gorgeous hidden gem — I’d 100% recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic taste of Italy. Thank you for a lovely lunch! 🍝🇮🇹✨

From the moment, we walked in , we were greeted with smiley faces. Restaurant has traditional settings, wood fire pizzas and other dishes on the menu. It was comforting to be in the restaurant. Location is lovely and has suitable background music. The food is « fabulous », and our family are very happy to dine here. Can be busy and I would recommend reserving a table. Thank you for having us and we can not wait to return again.

This has always been my go to spot for pizza, fresh bread and good vibes since 2019. No matter where they go they continue to provide the most delicious food and best service. Proud to see them where they are now, if you want authentic Italian food from lasagna to special pizzas and incredible tiramisu, you can't go wrong with this gem ❤️ Grazie mille!

Discovered this place whilst wondering around the area being super early for an appointment. So glad I did 😁 Neatly tucked away off the main road with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Manola, the owner, is a treasure; I absolutely loved her ❤️ If you're in the area, I'd recommend you stop by 😁🇮🇹

Highly recommend The Italian Bakery! Amazing menu, lovely appetisers, incredible pizzas and desserts. The croissants also are soo good! I went for the Mortazza pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Of course I also had my favourite beer Ichnusa-non filtrata. This is the best place if you want to try authentic Italian food/products, have an amazing time with great atmosphere and be treated nicely! See you soon <3

Lovely place, friendly staff and they have delicious gluten free pizzas and gf beer! They do say they can't guarantee cross contamination because of the small kitchen but I felt incredibly safe. (I am coealiac) Partners 'normal' pizza looked lush and he was very happy too. Lovely atmosphere in there. Fairly priced too.

The BEST pizza in London! I've been going to The Italian Bakery since it was a takeaway. ALL the pizza's are delicious and huge! The salads are great too and now they have their own restaurant we love going here for Thursday night bubbles. Our weekly girls night out for pizza and prosecco followed by one of their legendary cocktails. The owner is so friendly and warm, we feel like family. Love this place

Amazing place for a lunch under 10£. Their 9 inch pizza is delicious. Authentic ingredients and crispy dough made of caputo flour. I ate here a few times already and I will be back to taste all of their pizzas. My favourite so far was pizza with pork fennel sausage. The Sicilian blood orange drink was a great accompaniment to my meal.
