My husband and I had dinner there on 2/15. Outstanding! Hands down the best Italian and one of the best meals we have had in Charleston. Each course was perfectly executed and delicious. The cozy atmosphere made you feel as if you were at a friend’s house having dinner. There is no denying that Chef Anthony is extremely talented. We cannot wait to return!

This is a one of a kind dining experience in Charleston! I love how small and intimate this restaurant is at night. There are 4 courses, so come hungry! The menu changes every month. The food was absolutely delicious. The presentation and the entire experience was wonderful. Chef Anthony puts his heart and soul into his work. We can't wait to come back for more!

We loved being able to talk to the chefs and staff as the courses were being prepared. Everything was so fresh and delicious! If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll leave this place delighted and full.

But while the vibe is old-school Italian, the menu surprises you. Each course offered a classic dish with an unexpected and delightful twist. The flavors were thoughtful and exciting. Our favorite? The sandwich course—a perfect tribute to the shop’s daytime roots. It was so good, we already plan to return during the day just to see what else they’re crafting between bread. We can’t recommend Italian Boy After Dark enough. The food, the chef, the atmosphere—it all adds up to an experience that feels both personal and unforgettable.

With only one seating per night, the five-course menu allows for a leisurely pace, so you can savor each dish without feeling rushed. Our group of six enjoyed every course, particularly the sandwich and pasta, and I’m still reminiscing about that meal. Anthony and his team truly go above and beyond to make this a one-of-a-kind and memorable experience. It’s a must-visit in Charleston.

6 of us had dinner at The Pass and I can’t say enough great things about the delicious food and phenomenal service. My husband loved the sardine appetizer, the sandwich appetizer had the best combination of flavors and the pasta entree was “lights out”! Henry did a fantastic job of serving. I highly recommend making reservations for dinner. Anthony, the owner/chef is so talented. Can’t wait to go back again.

Our group of six had a fantastic dinner experience with Anthony. I'm not sure what the reviews complaining about not enough food are talking about - I eat a ton and couldn't finish it all. Come with the right mindset and you will have a unique, excellent experience. This is not the touristy East Bay, Southern charm restaurant. Anthony (the owner) is old-school, Philly Italian. Engage him in conversation and you will have an amazing experience.
