This place was wonderful!! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect! The wine was delicious. My friend and I shared the beet salad. I had the chicken piccata per the waiter’s recommendation and she had the veal marsala. Last but not least was the limoncello cake for dessert. Also per the waiters recommendation. I wish I knew our servers name because he was hilarious and very helpful w menu choices. Live piano music was a delight! Will definitely return if I’m in the area.

Amazing restaurant! This is always on our must eat list. The food is incredibly delicious and the service is top notch. Have never had a bad meal here. Recommend reservations. Our server Mike was fantastic and was very attentive to our needs and a great conversationalist. Recommended a terrific limoncello cake; out of this world! Rosina remembered us even though we hadn’t been to Scottsdale in almost a year. She made us feel like family and is a gem of a person! Thank you for making us feel at home and we will continue to recommend this wonderful restaurant. Can’t wait to see you on the next trip!

Atmosphere was very elegant. Great place for a birthday dinner or nice lunch. Menu had a great variety and the dishes were a good size for what you're paying for. Service was good as well. The Mezza Rigatoni and Meatballs was yummy and very filling. The tiramisu tasted like it had come out of the freezer and had that refrigerator taste, so wouldn't recommend that dessert.

Wow!!! I am very happy to have experienced the Italian Daughter. My family and I often fine at fine Italian restaurants and compared to one in Gilbert (that shall remain nameless), this establishment went above and beyond to not only accommodate my party of around 20 but did so in the most professional manner. The food was good, all brought out at the same time. Never had to ask for refills they were on it! The drinks were strong and the absolute catering to our party. We thank you very much. I know we had a bunch of calls and rescheduling but this night was perfect. Will for sure be spending more money here. Thank you for the perfect night wishing my mother a happiest of birthdays!

We dined at The Italian Daughter on a very busy Sunday evening around 7–8 PM, and the restaurant was absolutely packed — a mix of locals, snowbirds, and holiday visitors. Despite how busy it was, the service never skipped a beat. Our waitress, Karmin, was exceptional. She was personable, attentive, and handled a full dining room with ease. I made a point to tell her how wonderful the service was, and she kindly asked if I’d be willing to leave a review — which I was more than happy to do. She truly earned it. The rest of the staff was just as impressive, working seamlessly as a team. The food was outstanding, and the ambience was warm, lively, and inviting — exactly what you want from a great Italian restaurant. Huge kudos to the entire staff and to the owner/manager for clearly training and retaining such a strong, hospitality-focused team. We will absolutely be back.

It was my first time at Italian Daughter. The food was just alright to me, nothing to write home about. I had the chicken parmigiana dish. There were healthy helpings, and I appreciated the value. The ambiance is nice, and there was live music on Friday night. The servers were prompt and friendly.

Last night we celebrated my Birthday here at Italian Daughter and it’s hard to put into words the experience we had! A table of 15 adults and three children under the age of 3, and the way our Server Carmen made us all feel like we had just all flew home for the holidays is indescribable! The food was outstanding full of flavor and would just melt!! The desserts are top tier and I can’t say which is my favorite because they all were! Just like having Sunday family dinner our plates were circulating the table for everyone to try because what do you do when something is amazing you share with those you love. The atmosphere was perfect, and the music was soothing. Carmen was on top of every detail, I didn’t have a chance to say I was ever in need of anything because she was on it! The presentation was phenomenal, the Manager Rosina would circle the table to ensure everyone was taken care of as well as the rest of the other tables. By the end of the night we didn’t feel like we went to just a restaurant, we went to eat at a families house. Can’t thank them enough! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!

Total gem find!! Italian restaurants are such a hit and miss!! We really loved the food, everything, from the complementary bread to the calamari (Francesco's Frittura), Brown butter seared Scallops, ot Fresh fish of the day, halibut. The service was great! Tommy and his assistant really took care of us for our anniversary. The atmosphere was nice and well suited for the meal. Everything we ate and tried was awesome! we will have to come back and try other stuff for sure!!

Yelp
Service: Just wow! This was an all around fantastic experience for our first time in. We went to celebrate my birthday, so they put a birthday notice on our table which meant all staff members wished me a happy birthday. Our waiter was excellent! Wish I could share his name for kudos. Food: For apps we chose Francesco's Frittura. We enjoyed it but it was large and more than we probably should have ordered because we also got the Bruschetta Board. Out of the two, I highly recommend getting the bruschetta. We went with the Feta & Green Apple, classic Tomato & Basil, Wild Mushroom & Gorgonzola and the Prosciutto & Fig Jam. We wouldn't change a thing! But I think the prosciutto one was my fav. Dinner was veal parmigiana, meatballs and rigatoni and scallop risotto. All a thumbs up. Dessert was a gelato sundae, tiramisu and carrot cake. The tiramisu was one of the better ones I've ever had. I don't like carrot cake but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Warning: the gelato sundae is no small dessert. We would have been totally satisfied with that one dessert for all three of us. We ended up having to take the carrot cake and tiramisu home. Ambience: Lively but not overly loud. Live music singing the classics. Fairly dark in there. People seem to like sitting at the bar.

Yelp
I almost hesitate to leave a review because that will mean they'll have even more traffic into their fantastic restaurant. The food is divine, the service is beyond belief in excellence and the fact that they have music to entertain you is just so special and it really is a delight. Thank thank you thank you thank you we come very often with friends and it's our go to spot.

Yelp
A Neighborhood Gem - The Italian Daughter The Italian Daughter is exactly what a great neighborhood restaurant should be -- a welcoming, family-run place that serves rock-solid Italian food every single time. It's one of those restaurants you look forward to returning to because it always delivers. I usually go straight for my favorite: the Spaghetti Carbonara. It's consistently excellent -- rich, comforting, and perfectly prepared. Their appetizers and desserts are just as impressive, and I have a special fondness for their Limoncello Cake, which is light, bright, and the perfect ending to a good meal. They offer a strong wine selection, terrific mixed drinks, and a nice range of local and imported beers, so there's something for everyone no matter what you're in the mood for. Service is another standout. Our two favorite servers, Crystal and Autumn, always strike the perfect balance -- warm, attentive, and professional, but never overbearing. They make every visit feel personal. All in all, The Italian Daughter delivers a great evening every single time. We love this place, and I'm confident anyone who visits will love it too

Yelp
Let me start by saying, I don't usually love Italian. I usually feel disappointed--like it's nothing more than what I can make myself. That said, I really enjoyed Italian Daughter! Everything was top notch. Great atmosphere, great service (Payton was our waiter). After a wait, we were seated on the patio which was pleasant and warm (despite the cold). The waiting area is a bit uncomfortable and this is an area for potential improvement. Dinner was devine. The dishes were delicious! We started with Tomasas tomato and cucumber salad. So light and refreshing. It was a perfect starter. I had lasagna with a meatball. Don't usually like meatballs (they're usually ok) but it was good!! The lasagna had a good amount of cheese and sauce (I like food saucy). And the sauce was so good. My husband had the chicken parmigiana which he enjoyed! Finished with a delightful tiramisu-- so light and yet decadent. Also so good and exceeded expectations! Finally an Italian spot we can frequent! We will be back!

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday for my wife's birthday dinner. Had prior reservations, which was a good thing because this place was packed. Still had to wait a brief amount of time until our table was ready. Menu had numerous choices and plenty of familiar classics. Started with the Prosciutto di Parma, Surf & Turf Skewers, Scallops, and Lobster Bisque. The scallops were uniquely delicious! Our mains were the Pork Tomahawk, Carbonara, and Bolognese. All three mains were nicely done and left us very satisfied. Big portions in our opinion fyi. It was hard to find our server at times for refills, but it was quite a busy night. Live music was a nice touch and further added to the nice ambiance. Dessert was a NY Cheesecake with a birthday song from our waiter. Will definitely return for another run at their other menu choices.

Yelp
Came with some friends for the first time. We had a reservation and our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Wonderful little place, located in a mall of other businesses and they have a great little outdoor space that is separated and well decorated. The indoors is like walking into an Italian cafe with lots of photos and lights and just really cute decor. They have a large bar area and it looked like you could sit and eat there as well. The tables are covered in white linen and they offer linen napkins. Fancy but comfortable and welcoming! I took photos of all of the dishes ordered and overall everyone loved their choices. Review includes more about the dishes my wife and I enjoyed. We started with a Caesar Salad and Cheesy Garlic Bread, which we ended up sharing the bread with everyone! It comes with a bowl of the most delicious marinara sauce, which we both loved. The salad was great and included pistachios, which was a first for us. That will be an addition we include when making Caesar at home! The crunch it added was a perfect little salty bite that set off the salad. I had the Linguine Vongole (Linguine and Clams (white sauce)), with pasta cooked to perfection! Just a tad over al Dente so it could soak up all of that luscious clam and garlic sauce. There were several whole clams and the sauce itself was packed with shelled clams. The dish was served along with a bowl to capture the shells, which is classy! We had read that they are known for the Gnocchi so she ordered the Black Truffle & Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi. Wow! Pillows of soft potato in a rich, creamy truffle sauce. Tons of flavor and so good! We ended with an order of the Spumoni, which was in a ball coated with chocolate (hence they call it Spumoni Gelato Bomba). It was good but I think I would order something else next time just because I didn't care for the chocolate. I also have had a bit more flavorful Spumoni elsewhere. Five star place for sure! Great for friends, date-night, and a place that serves legit Italian food! So yummy!

Yelp
Looking for Italian Take out and found the Italian Daughter. The Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza was delicious. We couldn't taste or see the hot honey which can be hard to see, but we couldn't even taste it. That was why we got it & we love the combination. No honey no problem. This is still a bomb pepperoni pizza. We loved the crust. I loved the sauce and cheese. This is a perfect meal itself. We also got the lasagna with meatball. The meatball was solid and delicious. The meatball lived up to the hype and was fantastic and flavorful. The lasagna was just average for me and fell short. Just didn't have any of the flavor and no cheese pull. I like a very good sauce flavor, al dente noodles, cheese and whatever else goes good. The noodles were limp and the sauce, the Sunday sauce was missing. Went on vacation I guess, it fell short. Would return for the pizza and hope for hot honey that brings that sweet heat that pairs so well with pepperoni. They came up short this time, but solid potential.

Yelp
This place is exquisite. Period. Everything about the experience was first rate. We arrived without a reservation and had a short wait before being seated. Our table was perfect, we could watch the team work and view many of the dishes. Let me tell you, the team hussles, all of them. The problem with The Italian Daughter is the menu is too big and there are too many fantastic dishes. (Joking) Our server, a gentle giant of a man with a good sense of humor, guided our tour. We could have ordered every single dish on the menu. Absolutely fantastic options. We started with crusty bread and a delicious garlic butter. Our starter was the Surf and Turf - 6 modest shrimp and 4 small pieces of filet on skewers. Nicely prepared and flavorful, but a little skimpy for my liking. Dipping sauces were garlic butter and creamed horseradish. Appetizer choices were plentiful. Next time we will try an another option. Wifey had Linguine with Clam sauce. The dish was beautifully prepared and adorned with shelled clams. The serving was very generous and would normally yield some take home, but it was so delicious the meal became a member of the clean plate club. Beautiful dish. I went with the Linguine Oleo Fruitti Di Mare with squid ink pasta. Seafood components were superb; shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari prepared perfectly. The gravy was spectacular. I topped with a good portion of graded Parmesan and began the attack. Absolutely marvelous dish. Used some of that crusty bread to mop up the sauce. Highly recommend without any reservations and give a 5+ star rating. My only disappointment was not meeting the owner who was at their new Pizzeria location. Great meal - great service - great dining experience, and an absolute pleasure watching that team work.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely loved going to tomaso's and when they shut down for a moment we were so disappointed. It was the best place for Italian food! When the Italian daughter opened up, we decided we would go for my husband's bday to see if it would be comparable to tomasos seeing as it's owned by the owners daughter from what I read about it. We made reservations for 5pm on a Saturday and I put a note in that it was my husband's bday. Once we arrived we were seated right away, the space looked almost the same but more ambient lighting which is much more relaxing than it was before. They also had a happy birthday sign on the table which was a wonderful touch. I did ask for a booth thinking they'd have private type booths but their booths are actually the long seating with regular chairs on the opposite side which, if I knew, I would have picked a regular table which would be more private as the same between patrons on the booth was so close we could really hear their conversations hahaha but it was fine for the evening. The calamari (it's called something else on the menu but I forgot) fritto I think... was freaking amazing and the aoli was a perfect balance. The veal was so tender and flavorful and the clam linguine was incredible. We loved every single bite! And the butter for the fresh bread was delicious as well!!! I got the daughter drink and my husband got the margarita and those were also delightful! The Nutella pizza was on the house for the bday which was a very very very kind gesture! All that to say, we love this spot and will continue to celebrate special occasions here and even date nights! We've already told our friends and our parents about it! Planning on taking my in laws here for their bdays too!

Yelp
In response to what I feel is a "sorry you feel that way" non apology from the owner: I absolutely did not ask for Alfredo sauce, I asked for alla Gricia but was offered Alfredo as an alternative. I asked the waiter for an off menu sauce, alla Gricia, and he said he would check. Instead, the manager responded some time later with a "no" and offered me what she could. So I stand corrected on sauce options, and yet the answer to my request for a simple 4-ingredient sauce was turned down. Also, you might say that you don't discriminate on how a patron is dressed, but wearing Levi's after a long day of work, I was treated rudely and waited for a few minutes to report a mess that I found in the restroom. And the table base still didn't allow me to get comfortably close to the table. Your answer seems arrogant and argumentative, so...We won't be back. In my opinion, Spiga's Italian seafood is better, and they offer more seafood choices.

Yelp
Bartender couldn't have been better. Amazing service! The lasagna and the wine were top notch! Ambiance- needs a young crowd to come in and give it some life!!! Only reason for only 4 stars.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant is every bit of 5 stars from start to finish! We made a reservation, highly recommend otherwise you'll probably be waiting for a table! We chose the enclosed patio which is a very lovely space & for us a little quieter for our autistic son... inside they have live entertainment which is very nice & you're able to also hear the music on the patio! Once we settled in our server greeted himself & we began with a bottle of Chianti which was a great choice to go with our entrees! Shortly after appeared this amazing Sicilian Tasting Board, arancini 2 kinds, eggplant, stuffed squash blossoms, Italian stuffed peppers, panelli & whipped ricotta topped with hot honey! Okay the only way to put it.... All amazing but personally the ricotta & the blossoms were my fave! Then appear our entrees, well they did not disappoint at all... my carnivore hubby was in beef heaven, pure perfection.... fork tender beef sitting on a bed of silky whipped potatoes! Then as for seafood stew, the broth was unbelievable & the seafood all perfectly cooked, they cooked it in stages as they are supposed to! If you love Cioppino then look no further you must try The Italian Daughter's! To finish our meal we decided on some cheesecake & an espresso martini, both of which were very delish! The cheesecake was definitely creamy not dry all & my cocktail was perfectly made! The Italian Daughter was a wonderful evening out with a great selection of food & wine to choose from, top notch service from everyone & amazing food!

Yelp
The service was impeccable. We were seated in the lounge with Ben Bolt playing singer/songwriter classics. He is fantastic. Our server, Harmon was enthusiastic, informative, and attentive. Our table had the arancini appetizer and it was delicious. Could have made a meal out of them. The short ribs were melt in your mouth delicious and the chicken parmigiana was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
I've become a regular at Italian Daughter, and for good reason! As a woman who travels frequently and often dines alone, finding a welcoming and safe place to enjoy a meal can be a challenge. However, at Italian Daughter, I feel completely at ease. The atmosphere is inviting, especially at the bar, where the staff especially Sal the bartender who goes above and beyond to treat patrons like family. He remembers my drink preferences and always engage in friendly conversation, making me feel right at home. The food is nothing short of exceptional. From the pasta to their yummy pizzas. If you're looking for a place that offers both outstanding service and fantastic food, Italian Daughter is the spot. I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
We came for dinner to celebrate a friend birthday. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The area in the restaurant is nice, even the outdoor area was nicely covered and cool. They brought fresh table to the table and that's always a super win. The bread was good and so was the garlic butter that came with it. The calamari was delicious! The gnocchi and the short rib pasta was also so good! The tiramisu was great. All the flavors and the texture was perfect. Overall a great place to have an Italian meal.

Yelp
Another amazing Happy Hour so I figured I should finally review. We came for "martini Monday" $5 martinis???? Yes please! But the icing on the cake? It's the lounge menu!! The food is AMAZING, every time. Tonight we had lamb chops, spicy shrimp and something that was heaven! A beef tenderloin with mushrooms, sauce, potato's, OH MY!! They have a new GM and she is rockin it!! Say hi to Rosina when you are in!!

Yelp
Was here again with a group of 10. Service was good and food lived up to its reputation and was all good. Did notice (I did not order one) their smoked old fashioned was still being smoked for only 5-10 seconds. Should not call it a Smoked Old Fashion IMHO, or at least warn you its more show than flavor.

Yelp
This was my second time coming here. Nice restaurant. The bar area is nice but, not enough chairs (move the condiments off the bar counter onto an inside New moveable island. The restaurant is spacious and the entertainment music was excellent & heard at all tables. The 1/2 Caesar salad was good, the short-ribs & scallops entrees were good. I had the scallops cooked well done & added pepper flakes to the risotto in with the scallops. Our Drinks were prepared correctly and the tiramisu dessert was good. All in all, it was a good meal. I didnt give 5 stars because the scallops were good, but fishy tasting.

Yelp
My husband surprised me by taking me here for my birthday. It was very crowded, possibly due to the long weekend. For those who love fine dining and Italian food, this is difficult to get into so book in advance; as it's spectacular.. It's a perfect spot for date night or special occasion with family or friends. Portion sizes are huge, but delicious! Drinks are outstanding. Since it was very crowded, service was a bit slow.. We ordered the Osso Bucco which can be shared, due to portion size. The seafood ravioli was amazing. The fried calamari was the best, and so was the garlic bread'!! The drinks were spot on. They have an open bar so can order out or the menu as well!

Yelp
The food and service were amazing, however through Open Table we let them know it was an Anniversary dinner. Not once did they mention it or wish us a Happy Anniversary? Poor communication.. other than that the night was great!

Yelp
Having dined here several times, I can confidently say this restaurant continues to impress where it matters most -- the food. Each visit reaffirms its standing as a place that knows how to deliver bold, authentic flavors and a well-balanced dining experience. On my most recent visit, every dish from our table was spot-on, beautifully prepared, and deeply satisfying. The kitchen remains the restaurant's strongest asset -- consistently turning out vibrant, flavorful plates that celebrate Italian cuisine without pretense. The cocktails arrived promptly and were well-crafted, setting the tone for an enjoyable meal. The wine list deserves a special nod: it offers a thoughtful selection of Italian wines that are both excellent and reasonably priced -- a rarity that regulars will appreciate. Ambiance can vary depending on the night. At times, the tables feel a bit tightly packed, and the noise level can climb higher than comfortable. This visit, however, was more balanced -- the addition of live music created a warm, convivial atmosphere, and conversation flowed easily. Service, unfortunately, remains the restaurant's weakest link. Our server spoke so quickly that explanations about the menu were rushed and unclear, and attention throughout the meal was uneven. While this lack of polish doesn't overshadow the exceptional kitchen, it does detract from what could otherwise be a near-perfect dining experience. In short, come for the food -- it's worth it. The culinary team continues to deliver excellence on the plate, making this a restaurant that earns repeat visits. But with a bit more focus on service refinement, it could elevate from "very good" to truly outstanding. Bottom Line: Food: 9/10 - Consistently excellent, authentic, and flavorful Drinks: 8.5/10 - Strong cocktails and a well-priced Italian wine list Ambiance: 8/10 - Lively, sometimes loud, but charming with live music Service: 6.5/10 - Rushed and inattentive; room for improvement Overall Value: 8.5/10 - Excellent food at fair prices Verdict: Go for the cuisine -- and hope the service soon matches the kitchen's brilliance.

Yelp
First time here and we were not disappointed. Carmen was our server and right away she made us feel like family. She was warm and friendly. We had an appetizer of Calamari and it was delicious. Perfectly crisp with very flavorful sauces to dip. I had the seafood risotto and all I can say is abundant. Amazing seafood, perfect risotto. It was delightful. We will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Popped in for an early dinner with husband and college boy. We had no reservation, and it was before 530 on a Tuesday with nothing available on open table. I checked in at the hostess station and they had one seat left in the lounge. Companions were skeptical about sitting in the lounge, but I insisted we needed to try the happy hour menu. And I am so pleased that we did! Live music started about 6pm, before our meal was finished, and was a pleasant guy with a guitar. Wine selection was reasonably priced. Server was spot on, all the time, even though they were packed. Wow, how have I missed this restaurant on my happy hour rotation? Perhaps I was deterred by the pasta rich menu, as a GF gal? Well no worries, they have GF high quality noodles! I ordered a smoked salmon pesto cream pasta with sun dried tomatoes and it was superb! The GF penne were even firm when left over, so impressed! Husband had a calzone from the HH menu. It was HUGE, not a small portion at all for $13 and loaded with Italian sausage and peppers. Son ordered the same, and thinking it would be small, also ordered a small chicken Alfredo rigatoni pasta bowl. Needless to say, we had leftovers! Everything was delicious. I will definitely be taking friends here, and looking forward to patio dining!

Yelp
We chose The Italian Daughter for my wife's birthday dinner. As a vegetarian, it's often challenging to find restaurants that are both great for special occasions and offer good vegetarian options. Given the limited choices, we decided to make the drive from Chandler. Parking wasn't an issue, with plenty of spaces available. However, the service was painfully slow. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan pasta (with the chicken on the side) and a vegetarian pizza. While waiting, we were served bread, which was a bit hard. The Chicken Parmesan was decent, the pasta was flavorful, and the pizza was also pretty good. Despite the food being satisfactory, the service left much to be desired. It took an exceptionally long time to receive complimentary ice cream scoops as a birthday dessert, although the server did sing "Happy Birthday." Unfortunately, it also took forever to get the bill and have our card processed. I'm not sure if it was due to the late hour or being short-staffed, but the slow service made the experience less enjoyable. Given this, I might not return as the overall value didn't meet my expectations.

Yelp
Great appetizer & service a few months ago... So I immediately thought we should return ASAP. CALLED ON A Tuesday at 4:30pm to make a Saturday reservation or at least ask if I need one... but spent 14 min on hold- without any greeting from the "gentleman", only to be hung up on. Called back to be put on hold without a greeting by a woman.... 30min... still on hold. Maybe they just don't want or need my return business.

Yelp
The Cioppino is off the charts! I had a late lunch there this week. I ordered the Cioppino and was floored by the size and quality of the dish. It was a huge portion with an incredible amount of seafood in it. I ended up taking half of it home. I've had Cioppino all over the world, and this is by far the best I've ever had. Tasted just as good, if not better the next day as leftovers. Needless to say, I'm a fan!

Yelp
Arrived at 2:30 on Monday with no reservation here is my thought. It's hidden off Scottsdale Rd & North of pinnacle peak. It is absolutely beautiful inside. It is warm & inviting with a gorgeous bar! Hostess was friendly and asked if we had a reservation we informed her we didn't she was very polite and asked us to chose a table. The server was attentive we ordered 2 gin martinis dirty and Our entrees. She attentively suggested a side salad and we obliged. Food- I ordered the half beet salad which was absolutely delicious and my husband ordered the half Italian salad. His entree was shrimp fra diavolo which was huge and delicious. I had the Eggplant Tarte which was the most exquisite eggplant I have ever had. Thinly sliced, light, hand breaded, sauce to breadcrumbs was perfect! SO delicious Overall... hands down the best true Italian food we have had since being here in Scottsdale! Absolutely delicious!

Yelp
My husband and I came for restaurant week and had a delicious meal! We had the fried lobster bites and meatballs to start. The meatballs were definitely the fav! Couldn't really taste the lobster after in the bites much. The chicken parmigiana was delicious and a HUGE portion with the side of pasta. I took about half home for another meal!! The sea bass was also delicious - the risotto was pretty dense and heavy but the sea bass was cooked well. The dessert was my favorite (per usual). The tiramisu was delicious and had a deep coffee flavor. The cannoli shell was a bit thick but still complimented the cream filling. Service was just as good as the last time we were in!!

Yelp
This restaurant is extremely hostile to younger, single women, that just want to spend their hard earned money. They treat you like shit if you were under the age of 70. When I arrive for my first visit, I sat in part of the bar area and was passed off to three different servers in which I waited over 35 minutes for an appetizer and an additional 20 minutes for my check. The snobbery of the employees is next level. These people will never see another dime from me again. Stop treating your customers like crap and maybe you won't keep losing them. But don't go here if you're a single woman by yourself, they apparently think your money is worth less.

Yelp
This was our first visit to The Italian Daughter and it did not disappoint. The hostess and server were very polite and knowledgeable. The meal started with a nice portion of freshly baked bread and butter. We then had the Caesar salad for 2 and it was excellent. The pistachios put it over the top. It had the right amount of dressing and cheese and truly is one of the best I have ever had. The inside of the restaurant was spotless and had an intimate feel. The Mezza Rigatoni with Meatballs was fantastic. Sweet with a lot of flavor. Rigatoni was fresh and cooked Al dente. But the rockstar of the night was the Braised Short Rib Tortellacci made with burro fuso, Gorgonzola, and walnuts. The flavors dance together like lovers on starry night. If you try nothing else in Phoenix, you must make the trip to North Scottsdale for this incredible dish. Overall it was an outstanding evening. "FIMP" Food is My Passion

Yelp
Wow! Totally blown away by the fantastic food and service we received tonight. Our first time and we were celebrating two birthdays. They treated us both to desserts! Mark was our server and was nice and laidback. All the staff were welcoming! We've been to other Italian restaurants and this one is on level above others. Ingredients and presentation were perfect. I appreciated that there were many seafood dishes on the menu. Would highly recommend for special occasions or anytime you're craving homemade, flavorful dishes at a reasonable price. Don't wait too long to make your reservation especially on a Saturday.

Yelp
I was a big fan of Tommasso's. Was sad to see it close down. But to hear about this place, I was excited to give it a try It did not let me down. Good wine selection, reasonable prices, amazing food. We had the antipasto board, meatballs and bruschetta mix. All solid. For dinner I had the veal scallopini. It was delicious. Service was great, and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. They even had live music. But not too loud to where you couldn't have a conversation Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
As frequent Italian eaters, I can easily put this as top 2 italian restaurants in phx. The carpaccio wasn't anything to write home about (avg) but everything else was. Complementary bread w herb butter - great! My fiancé got the lasagna which was actually the best we ever tasted. The trio of cheeses + red sauce and meatball on the side was fantastic. My veal parm with red sauce was great but maybe the best item? The side of vodka pasta. So creamy and delicious. Live music is a plus. We'll be back!

Yelp
I really wanted to love The Italian Daughter. The vibe is great--super aesthetically pleasing, and the live music was a really nice touch that made the atmosphere feel special. But unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the setting. I started with the meatball appetizer, and honestly, it reminded me of frozen meatballs from Trader Joe's. Same texture, same flavor--definitely not what you'd expect from a restaurant that calls itself Italian. Then came the chicken parm, which was just... meh. It was such a tiny portion--like maybe a quarter of a chicken breast, and you could literally see where it had been sliced to stretch the serving. Not only was it small, but it just lacked flavor and authenticity. All in all, this place is great for a night out if you're looking for ambiance and live music, but if you're craving real, quality Italian food, you might want to look elsewhere.

Yelp
Happy hour review at the bar. Was hopping early 4:30 on a Friday, place is popular so plan accordingly! We had the red and white rotating wine for 6, generous pour and both were good value! Had the sautéed shrimp and calamari and 1/2 lettuce salad, both excellent. We will be back for dinner when!

Yelp
The 4 of us, two couples, had a fantastic dinner last night. My girlfriend ordered the cioppino and it's spectacular along with my bolognese which was very good as well. The other couple ordered the branzino and said it too was great. Service was excellent, manager was very kind and stopped by our table to check on us and see how everything was. Portion sizes are very generous. Definitely, this is the best Italian restaurant in the Valley hands down and a memorable experience. 100% will be going back..much sooner rather than later.

Yelp
During our vacation in Scottsdale, Arizona, we dined at an Italian restaurant. The meatball appetizer was delicious, and the staff were both attentive and courteous. However, given that it's an Italian restaurant, the music could have had more Italian flair. As for the chicken scarpariello, the sausage was too hard, and I was surprised to see it served with mashed potatoes instead of the more traditional roasted potatoes. Having grown up working in Italian restaurants and spending five decades around friends and neighbors who are deeply familiar with Italian cuisine, I believe I have a good understanding of what the dish should be. Overall, it's a good restaurant, but I think that particular dish could benefit from a few updates.

Yelp
This place is simply awesome! We took my parents there for my mom's birthday and she loved everything. Mike our server made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. He gave me a wine sample so I could order the perfect one for me. He answered a lot of questions about the different options and all four of us loved what we ordered. I had the linguini with Alfredo sauce and chicken. My mom is the queen of sides, she loved the side salad, side of spaghetti with marinara, and a grilled chicken breast. The ice cream with a chocolate shell was delicious. My husband loved the rigatoni with meatballs, and my dad had the lasagna. The manager Rosalina came over to make sure we were having a great meal. The whole experience leaves you happy with choosing a family owned restaurant that has handcrafted pastas and amazing service!

Yelp
What a night to remember. Hosted a business dinner here, from the greeting from Rozina at the front to the amazing delicious food, to the incredible fun service from Carmen, great, great, great! Very reasonably priced, incredible, authentic Italian food, with ambience and hospitality to boot. Traveling from out of town but will recommend and visit next time in town. Hats off to The Italian Daughter!

Yelp
We loved our date night dinner! We sat in the corner half-booth and loved how quiet and intimate it was. Ate the Cesar salad with a crusted Parmesan bowl and it was fantastic!!!! Drink was the daughter. Not pictured was the lasagna, delicious and had leftovers for the next days dinner! & Our server was amazing!!!

Yelp
This restaurant is great! The food is delicious and authentic, the ambience is great especially if you like to enjoy live music, and the service was top notch as well. They also have a covered patio if you enjoy eating outside, however, the tables have a big base so you can't pull your chair in and are at an awkward distance from the table so wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner, Italian Dinner team! From the top notch service to the birthday sign at the table and complementary dessert with candle, you made the evening such a special one for us. We were in town for the weekend and in search of the perfect Italian food spot to celebrate at. I couldn't recommend Italian Daughter highly enough for such an occasion! Service was warm, welcoming and attentive from the start, providing helpful guidance on the deliciously extensive menu. We enjoyed the complementary bread basket while waiting on our mains. The Spaghetti Carbonara got top marks from the birthday boy. I went with the Four Cheese Sachetti after much deliberation. Pillowy soft ravioli-like rectangular morsels were enveloped in "lick the plate, it's that good" creamy, herbaceous pesto sauce. The pasta itself was cooked to al dente perfection, filled with a savory cheese blend. The sundried tomatoes added a bright, acidic pop, balanced by creamy fresh goat cheese and a little textural variation with crunchy pine nuts sprinkled atop. For dessert, we went with the lemon cake--delicious! Bright, tart lemon expertly balanced with light but moist yellow cake and sweet buttercream frosting. The perfect end to the evening! Thank you again, Italian Daughter! Don't miss this spot if you're in Phoenix!

Yelp
Ambience was nice, even though it's on the $$$ end no one dresses up in my opinion, which is fine and makes it more comfortable. The service was good, not great in regards to it being labeled as $$$ , but our food was hot and the food was great. The bread comes out complimentary. The women's restroom was dirty, again, should expect a clean restroom in a restaurant especially $$$ , I would say focus on cleaning the restrooms hourly to ensure an overall pleasant experience. Thanks for the good food
