The Italian Job Brings Quick-Serve Pasta Bowls to Plano’s Food Hall | Eater Dallas

"Bringing a high-speed taste of Rome to Legacy Hall, this grab-and-go pasta parlor opens Friday, November 1 and delivers pastas made on-site daily in a fast-fashion style inspired by the classic Venetian heist film it's named after. Located on the first floor next to Beijing Brothers, diners can pick a carb base—spaghetti, casarecce, tagliatelle, or zucchini noodles—and choose from nine entrees, all under $10, including Renzo’s Pasta (casarecce with Mamma’s red sauce, bacon, bell peppers, chili, and cream), cacio e pepe, eggplant parmesan, beef bolognese, and a hearty bowl of meatballs served with focaccia. Executive chef Clifford Barratt—who previously opened a restaurant, retail, and market called Old Town Italy in his native South Africa—oversees the menu." - Tierney Plumb

Great food, freshly made! The antipasta and pasta we ordered were delicious. The the deli combined bistro is a must for authentic Italian cuisine with the added bonus of Italian groceries and specialties. Really loved lunching there with family!

🇮🇹I truly admire the dedication this restaurant puts into every single day of its work. 🍽Each time I dine here, the menu is refreshed with new creations, offering diners the season’s freshest ingredients paired with the most thoughtful flavors and cooking techniques. Today, I enjoyed the crab noodle dish — 🦀🦀🦀the seafood was expertly prepared and conveniently pre-shelled, a considerate touch that makes it especially friendly for elderly guests. The veal was equally outstanding, showcasing a level of care and skill in cooking that rivals Michelin-starred kitchens.🌟🌟🌟 Every dish here feels like a labor of love, and I sincerely hope they continue to uphold this exceptional standard.🌷

Their weekend menu is known to be the best. I had off the weekly menu on one of their quiet days so I may be judging them harshly. The food was prepared really well and tasted fantastic.

What an incredible experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely amazing, every dish was full of flavour and made with real passion. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of life, the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff were spot on and so friendly. Our waitress was wonderful, she had such a great sense of humour and even shared a good laugh with us, which made the day even more special. Lorenzo, the owner, truly stands out, you can feel his heart and warmth in every detail of the restaurant. The ladies at the front by the till were also so kind and welcoming, greeting everyone with genuine smiles. The vibe was a perfect 10 out of 10. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right — but this one does. You leave with a full stomach and a full heart. Highly, highly recommend!

I purchased cheese on Tuesday 23rd September at 08.30. Claudia arrived to open shop but had to rush off to take a dog she had found on street to vet.. (beautiful , lovely, I would have done the same) My issue: I purchased the gorganzolla cheese was dated 21 September 2025 best before date???? When this was opened as a birthday gift, I was very embarrassed. Please check your stock. Melissa Gasco Feed back: Thank you Lorenzo for getting back to me. I appreciate your response. I will definitely be back to a beautiful restaurant. Mel

This gem is tucked away and could easily be missed. Lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. More than just a restaurant - an Italian store where you could get all sorts of pastas - meats breads oils etc. Everyday you choose from a different menu. Food is well presented and well cooked. The ice cream was really good and flavorful. Staff are friendly and efficient.
