Did you hear about the Danish dude who walked into an Italian deli and ordered up some Polish sausage with a side of sauerkraut? Well, me neither!
On the other hand, I did hear of a Danish dude who walked into The Italian Sausage Companies new restaurant today. And with nothing better to do this Danish dude ordered up a number 37.
So, you say you've never heard of the number 37, well pay attention then! They take a Turano roll and fill it with Italian beef that's been slow roasted, you have the option of sweet peppers, or hot giardiniera, you can get it wet or dry with a side au jus. I ordered mine with the spicy giardiniera dry. When I picked it up, it was wet, and messy and it was out of this world!
I did pour some of the au jus on it and it made it even messier. So, if you should come in and decide you want this sandwich wet, I would suggest you bring a bath towel with you.
To compliment this wonderful sandwich, I had a nice side salad of pasta and cheese and tomatoes and all kinds of good stuff.
This was their Friday special on their new menu, on Thursday they have a cheesesteak sandwich! They have a new menu so take some time and look it over!
If you believe in supporting local, The Italian Sausage Company it's just about everything you could want in supporting a local company a couple with kids have turned a dream into a really nice restaurant.
Well done Joe and Michelle!
Well done indeed!
Stuffing my face with a great sandwich on a Friday night at The Italian Sausage Co!
