"The Italian Store is mostly famous for its hoagies, stuffed with meats like capicola and prosciutto. But this Italian market also makes a pretty solid NY-style pizza. There’s also gourmet sweets, calzones, pasta dishes, and imported winses." - Missy Frederick

Came on a Sunday afternoon. The place packed with customers. They have a wide variety of hard to find specialties and pizza by the slice. As a born and raised New York City New Yorker, we grew up eating pizza by the slice. It is the only way to eat while at work, waiting for the train, and yes, even on your first date in high school. The pizza here can come close to passing for a true New York slice. We also lived in Europe for over 14 years, I would love to see them make a more traditional Italian style pizzas from the various Italian regions and carry a few more hard to find products such as black in sauce. I will come back again early when they open to talk to the managers. This is so far our new European home.

Google
First time here. Bought lots of food and browsed the whole store. Definitely a place where you'll find something that interests you. Food was good. My favorite part was nothing was too salty, all seasoned just right

Google
It pains to me say this because I've been coming here since I was a kid (I'm 37 now). The quality has gone down. I think management decided to prepare subs in advance as if it were a factory line, instead of fresh to order. Today, I had to pull a soggy Genoa sub from a stack of subs that were no doubt just waiting there soaking in the dressing for a couple hours. Soggy bread/paper, lack of ingredients (today it was their famous dressed lettuce), hots and sweets a-la-carte.

Google
Alejandra (Alex) really saved the day and explained how the store worked and how to order. God bless cause I was very overwhelmed. Since it was a Sunday they were pretty busy and only had ready-made sandwiches available (no customs). We went searching for the tik tok famous muffuletta but they said they ran out of that bread and we would only be able to get it at the other location. We got the capri and the Milano sandwiches with a side of extra sweet peppers. I loved the prosciutto on the capri and we both liked the sweet peppers and quality of the bread. We added oregano, olive oil, and vinegar to the sandwiches once we got home. Both sandwiches were $9-$12 and were really good quality meats, cheeses, and bread for the price. Next time we will try the other location so we can get the muffuletta. We will also try the pizza next time!

Worth the trip! Friendly and busy place. We ended up getting a pizza kit but not directions on how long to bake . It ended up turning out delicious.🤤

I mean who doesn't love The Italian Store. It's crazy to me that in such an amazing and diverse city that the only place my GF says we HAVE to go to when we visit is here. Of course she's Italian so there's that. As anyone who has been here though knows their sandwhiches are top notch! I recommend everything. You can't go wrong. Thier pizza is also some of my favorite. It's not cheap sugary products like in most fastfood pizza places. You can tell the sauce is light flavorful and authentic and you don't feel like you need to take a nap after eating one slice. Portions here are also very good and it's one of the few places left that we can fine pastini. If you're in the area looking for a good sandwhich or slice shop this is it!

Google
I would put zero if I could. This is based of Customer Service only. I am not sure of the name of the individual cashier. She is short with short curly hair. She worked in 5/3 and I was there between 1:30-1:45 in the afternoon. You all may want to train her in the tone and manner in which she interacts with customers. She said next in line so I went to her. I said- can I please order a pastrami sandwich. Sounding irritated she tells me - we don’t do custom orders but I will take it down this time and you’re looking at a 20 minute wait as she snatches her pen and pad up from the counter ( very agitated) I told her I didn’t know I had to call or order online. I just left it’s not worth being treated a certain way especially when you just want to eat in this economy.

Google
I’d skip this location and go to Westover. Much larger, cleaner, friendlier staff, etc. Also never got pizza that looked like this at the Westover location.

Yelp
Very good experience from here! I made a post on the local Winchester va page asking for the best Italian sub I can find. The Italian store came highly recommended. My wife and I decided to go on a foodie road trip to check this place out and their other location. (Also another spot) Adriana took my phone call and my only instructions where that I want the best Italian you can make. No mayo and do not heat it up. Wonderful food and I highly recommend that you give them a try.

Chris M.

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood and decided on a slice (or two). The place is packed on a Saturday. I'm heading toward the pizza counter and there is a dog in the store. It's on a leash mind you but I'm thinking the hygienic angle to having pets around the pizza and sandwiches. I grew up with dogs, love dogs but there is a place for them, outside, away from where food is being prepared and sold. The pizza is excellent, sandwiches are fine. I'll be thinking twice next time I'm in the mood for a slice. Where is the department of health on animals in the store? I'm sure customers don't want dog hair in their sandwich or a topping for pizza. The no cash angle is another gripe. Seriously? I have to use a debit/credit card for $8 worth of pizza? Tony's NY in fair lakes takes cash. Lucia's in Herndon...cash. HT, Wegmans, Costco..the list goes on all take that magical thing called cash.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
If you value great food, then you'll appreciate the Italian Store. Whether you want a fresh submarine sandwich, a melt-in-your-mouth blondie cookie, or the hard-to-find Italian meat known as guanchali, you'll find it here. These folks know their food! Also, ordering is easy, service is fast, and parking is plentiful.

E P.

Yelp
5 star subs but 1 star service at this location. During lunch, they prioritize call in orders so you must call in ahead with your order if you want a custom sub. Even if you go in person, you will have to call it in (confusingly, to the person standing in front of you) they don't take in person orders. 25 minute wait, even though you are the one there...in person. In front of them.

Herbert L.

Yelp
Finally I tried their Hoagie's and I was not disappointed at all. It was as always worth the drive across town to get them. I had the Capri and Milano. Must try it if you in the mood for good sandwich. I will recommend to order ahead.

Lorne E.

Yelp
Guys! Hey GUYS!!! I have been coming to your place for 31 years and yesterday I was so dissapointed. We order two meatball parms and one chicken parm. One MB was supposed to have extra sauce. All three were dry, a small amount of cheese and barely passable. WTF? You get one more shot at this with us. Someone in charge needs to order one and taste it. The chicken was okay, the Meatballs were so-so. Forget the cost, the quality is not what I have been used to. I love you guys and want this place to thrive as always, but please do some quality control and when someone asks for extra sauce, it should be sloppy sauce.

Yelp
Sandwiches, pizza, Italian foodstuffs. Outdoor seating. Friendly service. Italian-speaking ownership and main cashiers. I speak Italian, but don't meet other who do that often, so that was cool. At first glance, it's an intriguing store, with several workers busily making colorful, abundant looking subs. Was quite disappointed that it was not possible to get a made-to-order tuna sub. Ordered a tuna sub, and it came pre-wrapped, with only lettuce. Would love to have had some tomato and onion. It was a quite a let down. Pizza: had two slices; one veggie, one mushroom. It wasn't bad, but I expected better from an Italian-owned place. Others in my party ordered the Calabrese Calzone and Traditional (cheese) slices, and did enjoy them. Cannoli: very good. Drinks: good selection of Italian soft drinks. Had a bergamot tea sparkly lemonade, and quite liked it. This place is okay, but not memorably good. Wouldn't travel back. The food is something I'd be happy to eat, maybe as a tourist somewhere with few options, but would definitely not seek out. There are other Italian stores with the same products for much lower prices.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I got the Muffaletta and was a little disappointed with the flavor of the sandwich. On the bright side, the Italian Store was very generous with the amount of meat in the sandwich, however it just felt like I was biting mouthfuls of pork with a tiny bit of olive for the sandwich. The olive oil dressing was not very flavorful and they were unable to accomodate my request for sweet peppers on the side. We ordered take out and I would advise people to order ahead of time since the estimated time it took to make our 2 sandwich order was 40 minutes. On the bright side our order was available early when we went to the counter to inquire about it. The store itself is cute and has a wide selection of wines, cheeses, and cured meats. It also has olives and italian snacks. I would say it's a bit expensive as we saw about 12oz of fingerfood cakes going for $28.

Will M.

Yelp
Love this place as it reminds me of the NY delis I grew up with. Not going to get better bread from a sandwich place in the area. I'd go out a limb and say everything on every sandwich is the best quality available. Yes it is expensive. I do miss pre Covid going in and ordering any kind of sandwich. Now you have to do it online for a speciality sandwich. Cool selections of pastas, cheeses, and wines available for purchase as well

Elvin M.

Yelp
If you want authentic Italian goods straight from Italy then stop by the store. Everything is freshly made. Plenty of choices direct from Italy. There pizza and subs are delicious. And they have a vast variety of Italian wines. Ans on Saturdays stop by for some wine tasting with Oreste! You will not be disappointed. If your in town stop by.

Andrew T.

Yelp
I really love this store! If I need a quick grab and go prepared sub sandwich, pizza, salad, classic Italian dishes, this is the place to go. All of these are delicious. Chicken parmesan, chicken marsala, eggplant Parmigian, pasta, you name it! They have imported goods straight from Italy such as unique sauces and pasta. They have a limited supply of wine but a wide array of cheeses. Their staff are always helpful if you cannot find what you are looking for. Location is great and they have ample parking space around. You can also order for catering. I love ordering their sundried tomatoes and pasta. Really high quality. I highly recommend this place.

Andy Y.

Yelp
Nestled on the corner of Washington Blvd and North Longfellow Street, the Italian Store is a culinary journey with offers of pizza, subs, wine and many other quintessential taste of Italy options that's bound to satisfy even the most discerning palates. I ordered my go-to Chicken Parmigiana, which is normally very tasty. However, this one time, the chicken was burnt and very dry...was still good, but was a little disappointing. The pizza is always a favorite with my kids and very tasty! Recommend calling in your order or it is a 20-30 minute (or longer on weekends or meal times) wait. Parking is limited as this location is shared with many other restaurants and businesses. Overall a great experience and will be back. Enjoy!

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
They dont make em like they used to. If your a previous fan, you wont be anymore. I no longer recommend their sandwiches. They do have good wine selection tho.

Sandra B.

Yelp
Been here so many times, it would be unjust to not write a review. It's a solid, local business with ready-made Italian grinders that go fast for easy pick up, specialty Italian items including fresh pasta and imported cheese. It's not the best sub in the area, but good enough to go back to (don't forget to pick up some sweet/hot peppers near the premade baskets of subs). I still need to try their pizza. Service is quick and there's minimal seating outside, but still a good grab-and-go option, esp if you're headed towards George Washington Parkway.

Amy W.

Yelp
We love the freshly made sandwiches. Our favorite thing is walking in and taking a deep breath. The aromas of all the delicious food keeps us coming back.

Eric M.

Yelp
So on a whim, I re- sorted the reviews on here from Yelp on The Itallian Store which go back 15 years. You know what I saw? The reason why many people fell in love with this store to begin with. The reviews were almost all 5 and 4s. Sure there was an occasional 2 or 3. But folks really loved this place. It was the good. The taste, the quality, the amount. It was the service. Folks were able to get their favorite foods again and again. Now, The Itallian Store appears to have greatly veered away from those golden years. The customers have spoken back then, and they are speaking now. They want to love the Itallian Store again. They want the Itallian store they used to have.

Stacy D.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! Have gotten their pre-made sandwiches many many times and always a good option for a quick and delicious lunch. No favorites because all the pre-made sandwiches seem pretty similar.

Pablo A.

Yelp
"Absolutely fantastic pizza that takes me back to New York! The flavors are authentic and delicious. The crust can be a little more --crispy and bit more thinner. Toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the cheese is perfectly melted. Highly recommend for anyone craving a taste of a good slice!"

Mike W.

Yelp
The pizza is phenomenal! It's usually crowded to sit down and eat. The one location is next to a Giant so parking is good. The other is in a strip slot and parking is a little hard to get! You gotta try it if your anywhere close to them! The cheese and pepperoni are mouth watering! You can also shop for groceries in the store as well! Love stopping in whenever my route lets me!

Tessa A.

Yelp
We REALLY wanted to give The Italian Store a try. It was our first time at the establishment after hearing nothing but great things pre-COVID. The weather was nice and we were craving sandwiches so we decided to give them a try. We waited in line after seeing 4 different lines form within the establishment. Odd? Definitely. But we figured this must be normal. Anyways, 10 minutes go by and it turns out we are in the pizza line? There was no direction nor communication from the employees and patrons seemed just as confused as us. Now we moved to what we thought was the "sandwich line". Again, minutes go by and no one seems to care to help. We finally asked the lady behind the counter "How do we place a sub order?" She then said, "You do not place orders. You can grab a sandwich from the basket." We were shocked!!! You are telling me that you are a sandwich shop but you already pre-make and pre-package your subs? Those sandwiches were definitely in the basket for well over 15 minutes as we did not see them make or add any new sandwiches to the basket during our time there. We decided to leave because why would you pay $12 for a sandwich that is most likely soggy, not toasted, and not fresh? No thank you.

TJ B.

Yelp
The atmosphere of the Italian store is my favorite part of this business. When you walk in you see people behind a deli counter serving customers and any Italian item you could ever want on the shelf. I really like the sandwiches, but the pizza is good as well! Make sure to grab extra hot/sweet peppers while you are there!

Claudia R.

Yelp
First time here. Some friends had told me about this place and how good it's supposed to be. Good place to get an Italian sub. Well, you can NOT order your own sandwich. What?? Why?? They have 3 baskets with already made sandwiches they rotate from their menu...I guess. They sit there. People grab the ones on top. Not sure how long the ones at the bottom have been there. What happens if you don't want onions or peppers, for example. The kid said you can call ahead and place an order. So then they'll make it? So you can go outside and call from outside? The kid said they are short staffed since COVID (that excuse is just way too overused and old now. C'mon!). So we tried 2 of the 3 already made sandwiches. They are ok. Not great. I would have added oil and vinegar. I would have taken the peppers out. But I didn't have a choice. Just a weird experience and system. I guess the locals know to call ahead? Too bad because I don't think I'll be back. Had high expectations and it didn't deliver.

Danielle K.

Yelp
I have been coming to the stores for years the food is good customer service trash . Super Bowl Sunday no in store orders only call in but phone continued to ring with no answer. I saw six people walk out because they won't allow you to order in house . Manager stated yes the phone have been ringing non stop but hey to bad . Again cus service is trash.

Jimmy L.

Yelp
Great subs. Was told this is the place to go for hoagies from coworkers, and it did not disappoint. Inside, there seems to be kind of like a market feel to it, so it's not just a sub restaurant.

Wilton P.

Yelp
As a lifelong New Yorker currently living in the DMV, I am very particular about pizza. I often avoid going out for pizza here because I have low expectations and don't want to be disappointed. With all that in mind, I cautiously stepped into The Italian Store to try their pizza. The store is kind of set up like an Italian bodega with a long counter by the entrance where you can order pizza and sandwiches and the rest of the store offering traditional Italian American goods like rainbow cookies, imported pasta, and olive oil. I ordered a couple of slices and their chicken parm sandwich. The pizza was very good - the dough had great flavor, was the perfect thickness, and had a good crust. The bread for the chicken parm, however, was not good. It tasted like a regular grocery store hero roll. The chicken was okay, but could've used more seasoning. I will likely be back soon to see what else they have to offer.

Alexis M.

Yelp
Vibe: 6/10 (nothing special) Service: 6/10 Pepperoni pizza: 8.5/10 Pizza Bianca (white pizza): 9.5/10 Total: 7.5/10 (3.75/10)

John S.

Yelp
I was a huge fan pre covid. The service was always a little clipped, but they had the best subs in DMV. A. LITTERI has no substitutions, and Mangialardo's has an excess of mortadella, so this place was my go to. Now they are pre made, and you can't order to spec. I hope they get back to their former, legendary quality.

Steph P.

Yelp
POP OFF on the milano sub .. the meat is high quality, the amount of ingredients in the sandwich is really generous, especially at the price point. My husband and I will usually split a sub for lunch. Service is super speedy and easy for takeout. We will usually call ahead. Yum!

Chris G.

Yelp
The staff at this pizza place/deli are amazing and friendly. Service is very quick and the food is truly incredible. Old style Italian cold cuts and fantastic pizza. Need some good food to keep at the house in your freezer for that night in they have many many meals prepared and frozen there too.

Maggie S.

Yelp
Went to pick up the great prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich. Was so excited because it's normally GREAT. But this was not a good day...the basil was horribly wilted/brown etc and not edible. Hoping they get a fresher batch of basil in there soon! Bummer.

Jesse D.

Yelp
Definitely not a "Italian deli" bunch of kids working behind the counter. Can't even order a hot sandwich, you have to call it in

Jeze R.

Yelp
Happy to find a sandwich joint that reminds me of NYC as I really do miss home. I will be back to get a hero.

Lance K.

Yelp
Attention attention anybody that used to get subs hand made in Arlington Virginia at the Italian store stop presses they make pre made pre cooked pre rolled subs only now went there spent $13 on a sub thinking it'd be the fresh hard bread it's all soggy full of lettuce oil peppers everything's thrown on a bun like a bunch of monkeys making sandwiches in the back you miles will have monkeys The lady the register said it's better for the workers that we don't order order is that crazy is this customer service the world is changed instead of people they won't even talk to you you can't walk in and order no more nope I would avoid this place capos capos subs here we come You want a real sub made to order capo sub shop that's where I go 3 or 4 in Washington already goodbye Italian store sorry pizza cold and very very bland thank you very much here's the pictures of the sub we got for $13

Catherine B.

Yelp
Excellent products, foods, wines. The subs are awesome! I also love the pizza, but the subs have my .

Marques W.

Yelp
Bought 3 slices and all of them smaller than a slice on 16in pizza. They served me slices from the back and not visible. not sure why but I'm extremely disappointed. slices were so small the cashier took $1 off.. thanks but next time please provide a standard slice.

Buonarotti G.

Yelp
I don't understand all the rave reviews for this place. We stopped the other night for a sub and it was the worst sub I've ever eaten in my entire life. I don't know where they get their bread, but it must be from the day-old store, because it tasted like nothing, and added absolutely nothing to the flavor of the sub or should I say the lack of flavor. The cold cuts that they use were absolutely awful the one turkey and cheese sub. The turkey tasted like salt and mush. I really think that the quality of the meats that they use are the cheapest they can fine just like the bread. The subs there are just big, expensive disappointments. There are so many other options in Washington DC that have quality meats and the most delicious bread. I will never ever again go to the store for a sub or anything else and I'm gonna be certain to tell everybody I know how awful it was.

Lew H.

Yelp
In the middle of a non-descript strip shopping center in soulless Northern Virginia, between an old, small Giant grocery store (really bad) and a CVS (even worse), is a gem of an import store - The Italian Store. This place has all authentic Italian ingredients that you could want. Sausages, cheese, pastas, bakery items, chocolates, wine, prepared foods like mozzarella salads and even dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves - of course, this is Greek food but, hey, if you want only the best, you MUST include something Greek, right???) - this is the place if you want to impress people with top quality imported food items. They also have frozen pasta dishes like lasagna and other Italian specialties. For me, I go to The Italian Store for the pizzas and the sub sandwiches. The pizzas are huge and the sauce is great. The crust, while not crispy, is good enough to keep me coming back. The large size is so big that it's hard to get it through my door without tilting the box! Definitely enough to satisfy the biggest eaters. The sandwiches are my current obsession and I just had a large Milano on a soft role with mayo. It was my dinner. The myriad of flavors all combine to create pure ecstasy. The hot peppers, the sweet peppers, the oil & vinegar, the shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes - all fantastic! So, why did I give The Italian Store only 3 stars? This was a tough call for me. Their food definitely rates higher. But, I hate to say it, the customer service AND the post-Covid operation of the store, really drag the place down. The customer service is really pretty bad. Nobody who works there seems to care about customers. I know they are real busy most times but the bad customer service is just not excusable. You cannot take the reason for your success for granted too long before it turns your success into tepid, if any, loyalty. For me, I only go to The Italian Store a few times a year because I do not want to deal with the poor customer experience. Now about the post-Covid operation of the store. I understand that the pandemic created a need to safeguard both customers and workers. But you can only buy pre-made sandwiches now. I bought one ONCE because, when I got home, it was soggy and old. Not worth the drive for that. Now, I call ahead and order a special one (they will take special orders in advance over the phone). It just makes my life more difficult and, consequently, it reduces the number of visits - and my desire to go - to The Italian Store. For me, if this does not change soon, I will not be going back to this place. So - bottom line - go to The Italian Store. You'll like it. You'll love the pizza and you'll love the Milano sub sandwiches. But, must remember to order ahead so you can get a fresh sandwich AND you will have to put up with poor customer service. Get in and out fast, that's the way to do it here.

Julie C.

Yelp
It's a market but the best pizza or a slice and easy to park in a plazza A few seats outside but it's the place to go for great prepared Italian meals, pizza dough to make your own pizza They have fresh dough and frozen if you want fresh ask it's in the back,I never want a frozen pizza again There choices in oils, spices, cheeses, noodles, sauces will make anyone a good Italian cook If you want a great italian sub take a number if it's a football Sunday A line means the locals know great and easy to drive to

Kane I.

Yelp
Ordered through catering to get 3 pizzas and the sandwich board which was a great value and very tasty for a pre Super Bowl party. Pizzas and sandwiches are always awesome here. Ordering and pick up was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Julie C.

Yelp
Used to be the best around. Now you can't order your sub when you arrive and have to take a premade, refrigerated glorified lunch meat sandwich that was cold and soggy. Terrible. Won't be back.

Nikita D.

Yelp
My husband and I love shopping at the Italian store for fun and unique finds, but the other day we had some friends coming over so we decided to order some pizza from here for the group. It was a Sunday afternoon so I decided to call ahead and place the order so all I would have to do is pick up. When I went to the store to pick up the food it was super busy! Most people there were getting sandwiches (which I haven't tried but have heard are delicious), so I had to wait in line a bit to check out, but it looks like that's the usual Sunday rush! We ordered three pizzas: the Nino's, Traditional, and Supreme. I didn't try the Supreme because I've vegetarian, but I tried the other two and absolutely LOVED them! It was some great pizza and everyone we had invited really enjoyed the food. We got the 16" for the Nino's and Traditional, but ended up getting a 20" for the Supreme and it was huge (probably didn't need a pizza that big, but no one complained :D). It also felt pretty reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food that we got. Will definitely be going back to the Italian Store for pizza!

Melissa F.

Yelp
I love the Italian store! We frequent for their frozen products more than anything. Big fan of the ravioli (lobster, chicken + prosciutto, spinach artichoke) and manicotti (normal cheese, spinach). We've also gotten their subs and they're chefs kiss. Can't wait to try their pizza!

Steven R.

Yelp
I always enjoy the Italian Store. Sandwiches always come with ample protein and options galore. Prices tend to be higher than average but the amount of food makes it worth the spend.

Donald U.

Yelp
The Italian Store is no longer worth visiting. The hoagies are decent but far enough from the real thing. Add to that the misplaced attitude from the workers there - no fly zone. I grew up around Philadelphia & NYC deli attitudes. The Italian Store isn't in the same league and wholly undeserving of patronage. And the price, forget about it.

Erik R.

Yelp
Came for a couple of slices. Got a Canoli and was amazed at how good it was. I haven't had one in years the pizza was good. But, that Canoli was amazing.

John J.

Yelp
Underwhelming experience Terrible customer service. You can only get an sandwich made to order by calling. I had tried to order ahead online but the system was down. When we got to the shop and asked the sandwich making staff was very rude. They only had premade sandwiches which is okay, but when we asked for a side from behind the counter the seemed upset we were bothering them with a request. The young lady running the register was very nice, but you have to go through the bad attitudes at the sandwich counter first. The premade Milano was not very impressive. It was early and the sandwich tasted like it was a left over from the previous day. Not impressed at all.

J G.

Yelp
Sadly, gone are the days of an authentic, freshly made hoagie from the Italian Store. Soggy bread, poor quality deli meats does not make a worthy meal. The sandwiches lack flavor. The staff thinks it is normal to eat a very soggy hoagie. Yuck! When I moved to the DMV from PA I was excited to find the Italian Store which had very good hoagies, those days are gone. Always a disappointment! Why stand in line for mediocrity?

Joe J.

Yelp
Food is still good but the COVID-left over process of ordering ahead is a disaster. It has batches of sandwiches being made at once so the first person in lines waits for the twentieth person's sandwich, orders being ignored, and no communication with customers. This is while pizza, grocery, and random people wanted sliced veggies? All slow down the already bad process. On top, the lack of urgency is the most authentically Italian thing here. Guys do better. The wait isn't charming, and the sandwich does not make up for it. Edit** 35 minutes after they accepted the order they got the order wrong. It's Saturday, not that busy. What happen here? This place used to be good?

Yelp
I can honestly say I've been to the Italian store many, many times. It's about time I leave a review! I always stop by when I'm in the mood for a sub. Their subs are fantastic. They have hard or soft rolls and many different meat options to chose from. I love the Napoli and the Milano subs both are great! You must get their sweet peppers on your sub! They add such a great crunch and flavor. The only thing I miss is being able to order your sub in person, due to covid you must call ahead if you want a certain sub. They only offer a few different kinds pre-made to choose from. Be sure to check online to see what they're offering otherwise call and place your order! Their pizza is pretty good too!! I like the Bianca and Nino's. The 20" pizza is huge!! So keep that in mind. I'd say the 16" is probably a traditional Large size. I once ordered a pepperoni pizza and I didn't care for the pepperonis because it made the pizza really greasy. Greasier than usual. However I ordered it again a year or so later and it was better. Make sure you order pizza early especially on busy days such as Friday and weekends. They get swamped and sometimes stop taking orders. I usually try and call around 5:30pm.

Yelp
A unique neighborhood store offering Italian products and made-to-order sandwiches, but with lousy service. Long lines because ... someone was paying in cash and the employee was counting ever so slowly each bill. The check out counter was closed for no reason (busy Monday afternoon), so everyone had to wait at the sandwich counter even if not ordering a sandwich. Unique gelato and other goodies. Just be prepared to wait.
