I’ve seen many apartments in the area and was shocked by the tiny, cookie-cutter layouts, especially considering the rent. The room and closet sizes here are more generous. The location is convenient and close to many restaurants and shops. Management is prompt and willing to help.

The quality of construction here is terrible. The units are not sound proofed and I can easily hear my neighbor talking at NORMAL volumes. Get woken up every morning by their alarms or distant traffic noise. Experienced a ceiling leak in the first month of move in. Vent hood, under cabinet lamps in the kitchen, bathroom shelf, and bathtub drain were all improperly installed. Staff team is lean and it takes a while to get things fixed. I reported broken shade chains five days ago and it is still not fixed. Please reconsider your options and avoid this building if you can. It really doesn't meet the expectations one has for a "premium" rental. There are lots of other good places out there, don't get tricked by the little things that appear fancy. Just personal opinions.

All I can say is WOW! Beautiful apartment and amenities but what really makes the difference between Italic and other buildings in LIC are the staff. Cleaners keep the building spotless, front desk is so nice to me. Michael in the management office was so helpful and responsive during my move. I’d recommend Italic to all :)

Just moved in this week to Italic. Really great experience. Everyone is both helpful & friendly. Michael the assistant property manager was responsive / super helpful in all things pre move and ensured a smooth transition. Front desk is great. Resident Manager and super/handyman both very good and quickly helped me with issues. This is a new building but some things needed minor fixing / turn on water / fix ice maker fridge etc. They addressed all my issues same day and was on top of their game. Honestly all around great experience.

I’ve never left a review for any apartment I’ve lived in, but I was surprised to see some negative reviews here and felt compelled to share my experience. I’ve recently moved in and I’ve been very happy with the level of service and overall maintenance. As with any new building, there may be a few hiccups while the management team works out the systems, but they’ve been kind and helpful when addressing any issues. I also love the location and the convenience of having so many subway lines in short walking distance.

I toured with Stephanie back in August, and she made the whole process so easy. She was amazing and made my partner and I feel right at home. Thank you Stephanie, we love the apartment! Everything has been great so far, the staff, the doormen, and the maintenance team have all been wonderful.

Moved in very recently, and must say this building has some of the best, most responsive, positive, and helpful management I’ve ever seen! They take all your inquiries very seriously and urgently. Management and leasing are very reasonable and approachable. Some things to note about the building: - Mailboxes have been fully set up recently and ready to go - Amenities spaces are awesome, there is a brand new half basketball court - Penthouse terrace looks amazing, both during the day and night, you get a clear birds-eye view of Queens, Brooklyn, Downtown, although parts of Midtown are blocked off by some buildings in front. But nevertheless, still amazing and refreshing views! - Elevator speed is actually quite reasonable despite hearing otherwise elsewhere - Trash rooms are very nicely located away from any apartments and there are no smells. The apartment floors almost feel like a hotel! Some things to note about the rooms: - Very spacious rooms with floor to ceiling windows. If you get the corner units, you will have penthouse-like sweeping views which are amazing both daytime and nighttime. - There are induction stovetops so you need pans and pots that support induction heating, which you can buy downstairs nearby. My old pans didn’t work so I had a great excuse to buy new ones. The upside is that induction stovetops are very easy to clean. - The AC is not loud and very quiet compared to other buildings. Be careful though, as it can get very cold or hot very quickly - Be careful with opening windows for an extended period of time on the upper levels; there are no bug nets on the windows (which give you better views), but the downside is there are tons of lantern flies (invasive bug species in NY) lurking around and might pop in. I’ve had a few come in recently - The bathroom is extremely spacious with lots of room to store all your creams, bottles, toothpaste, etc. It also comes with heated flooring, although I haven’t had a chance to try it during the summer

Recently moved in and so far so good: Management -Front desk are all friendly, helpful -Management is responsive and gets things done when requested Building -Offers good layouts, and I found to be the least awkward of the buildings I saw in the area -I am above the 40th floor, and actually am suprised that I can still hear the train and noise, but this is all white noise to me so no problem, just something to be aware of. -There are no ceiling lights in the living room or bedroom, just note that you will need to buy floor lamps, this wasn't something I picked up until after I moved in -The medicine cabinet in the bathroom is low to the sink and opens outward. That is, you will need to find somewhere else to put your hand soap on the sink if you want to be able to open the medicine cabinet. -The kitchen oven is really small, like microwave size. -The kitchen extractor fan just extracts your cooking from stove into the cabinet above, there is no vent (lol). So if you cook a lot, beware, I didn't realize this until after I moved in.

Yelp
Always want to start positive! The staff are extremely friendly and cordial. During the rental process, the amenity and pet fee were never discussed until post application. $200/month. During lease signing, the apartment number was incorrect. Upon receiving an updated lease was told I did not execute the lease agreement in time (on their error), and the months free of rent were dismissed. I am unsure if the point was to nickel and dime to repay a commercial loan, or if they are operating with poor business practices. Please be careful with proceeding! LIC is a lovely area, there are many other ethical rental buildings.
