Patrons beware. I came to eat, drink, and play trivia. I carried a water bottle in that contained dissolved medication for a medical issue I live with. I was stopped by the manager (I think his name is Mike?) and told I couldn’t have the bottle. When I told him it contained important medication and was necessary, I was told I wasn’t welcome if I was going to have a medical issue. He went on to say I was “threatening” him with my medical issue. I sent my partner back to the car to take back the bottle and to get a new dose of medication (an expensive medication that I really didn’t need to waste a dose of), and sat down with the friends that already had a table. The manager then came back to our table and continued to harass me, even though I was trying to disengage from the incident. Absolutely unnecessary, made me terribly uncomfortable, and ruined our night out. Definitely a buyer beware situation. I understand that the water bottle was an issue, but the manager handled it so terribly that I’d hate to see how he handled any other patrons. No one deserves to be accosted and belittled when just trying to explain a major medical issue that has a simple solution.
Edited after Bar response: I am not “sick.” I have a lifelong medical condition that requires management. And I am allowed to bring medication into every concert and cowboys game I’ve been to, usually once I explain that it’s medically necessary. Disabilities are often unseen. You owe your customers better.
