The Ivy Tower Bridge

We visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, together with our daughter, and it turned out to be a truly memorable evening. The restaurant was fully booked that night, so I was very glad that I had made a reservation in advance. I had originally requested a window seat, but as those tables were for two guests only, the restaurant kindly arranged a four-seat table for us instead. The seating was spacious and comfortable, which we really appreciated. We were looked after by Israt, who provided attentive and thoughtful service throughout the evening. She always appeared at just the right moment to serve our dishes or clear the table, and her warm smile made us feel genuinely welcome. She also kindly offered to take family photos for us, which was a lovely touch. The biggest surprise came at the end of our meal, when the restaurant presented us with a beautifully prepared dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written on it. It was a very thoughtful gesture and made our celebration even more special. I would definitely return again in the future and would happily recommend this place to friends.

Beautiful ambiance, service was top-notch and done with a friendly smile. Food was lovely, but I was expecting brilliance from The Ivy. We had the special 2 course menu (& added desserts), which was a good offer. I don’t think I’d have been happy to pay the full price though. Considering going back for Afternoon Tea.

I had no idea one could dine at The Ivy, Tower Bridge for under £20 for two courses. So when the girls saw the offer we were keen to try it and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere. Attentative staff. Really good food. (Do read the menu carefully to check the accompaniments ...if any! ) Beautiful restaurant, spotless throughout and just by Tower Bridge. I highly recommend the chicken skewers starter and the girls were chair dancing in awe of the sticky toffee pud. This offer does not include drinks. The cost for us with drinks was £25 per person. Well worth it and we will definitely be back. Sorry forget to take a photo of the bill 😅

Really nice restaurant we visited twice during our London trip. The Ivy offers a nice deal for getting two courses for 19,95 GBP. We had some Guchojang glazed calamaris and the most fantastic Shepard's Pie. Really delicious! Drinks are a bit pricier (e.g. 0.2l Coke Zero costs about 5 GBP), but the house vines are really good. I recommend trying out the house champagne! Desserts are also very nice. We had sticky toffee with dates and caramel sauce. The staff is very nice and offers a great service. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will come visit again on our next trep.

Service stayed attentive. We asked for more coffee and extra marmalade, but they brought it out hot and fresh. We come here often. The view of Tower Bridge makes this location feel special compared to other Ivy restaurants. Everything tasted good and looked great on the plate. If you want a reliable brunch with a unique view, this is it. We keep coming back for a reason.

A wonderful discovery made by chance during one of our walks in London. The setting is chic and glamorous, with a warm atmosphere reminiscent of classic Parisian brasseries. The menu offers an excellent selection, everything we chose was delicious and beautifully presented. But what truly made the experience special was the staff: attentive, kind, and genuinely caring, making us feel very welcome from start to finish. A lovely place that combines elegance, comfort, and great service — we’ll definitely be back.

We visited on a busy Sunday evening. The place looks amazing, beautiful interior, including toilet and the flower ceiling. We were welcomed and seated. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The lady who was serving us always made sure we are ok. My non alcoholic pear mojito was very tasty. I ordered squid to start with, sweet potato curry and Parmesan truffle chips. My curry was just ok, I didn’t pay much attention to the menu and didn’t notice it comes with tomatoes which is very unusual as I never had curry with tomatoes. They don’t go very well with curry I think. The broccoli was a bit hard I struggled to cut it with the knife. When I added the rice to the curry it turned out that it’s not a lot of sauce and it was quite dry. Maybe it should be more sauce or less rice. For the dessert we had a baked cookie with vanilla ice cream, it was very sweet. It was a bit hard to eat it as the edges of the cookie got glued to the plate it was served on. My partner had a chicken milanose and he liked it. In general it was a nice experience. As I mentioned the restaurant is beautiful with an amazing decoration. We had a nice view while eating too, Tower Bridge. Thanks.

My family popped into The Ivy for breakfast during our visit to London, and we were very pleased. The restaurant was beautiful on the side with a great view of Tower Bridge on the outside. The waiters were very friendly, and communicative. I docked a star because of the food - it was good but not great. We didn't realize that our breakfast restaurant the day prior was owned by the same company, and their menu was virtually the same. That was disappointing. We each ordered a Virgin Mary, which I would again describe as good but not great.

Online said they were open until 12 but they were not. Can't rely on online so I will give them that so no food was being served and we wanted a meal so ended up going to the Chicken spot that was open until 1 am. But everyone was nice and I would love to check out during regular hours (location was beautiful) but don't have time this trip

I always thought I knew what a good Shepherd's Pie tasted like, having grown up with the American version. But after trying an authentic English Shepherd's Pie, I was blown away. The richness of the meat, perfectly seasoned with herbs, and the creamy mashed potatoes on top were unlike anything I'd experienced before. It was hearty, flavorful, and a true comfort dish that made me rethink what Shepherd's Pie should really taste like

We stopped by for lunch and got a table for 3. The food was bland and service was ok. On three separate occasions we had to remind our server of pending items. The highlight of our visit was the ambiance and décor. I selected the 2 course lunch special and the salmon was bland - a dash of sea salt and black pepper would have been great. My dessert however was delicious - the tropical sorbet. My sister also opted for the 2 course lunch special and ordered the steak. Unfortunately, the steak was also bland and the béarnaise sauce was awful (to quote her words). This place can be hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. But if anyone from operations or management are checking reviews - do consider seasoning your dishes a tad more. This restaurant is located in a busy touristy area and has the potential to do better.

Food was great! I had the Shepards pie and chocolate bomb dessert and they were so yummy! However, we must have been there during a shift change because there was about 20 mins during our dinner that we saw no wait staff what so ever. When we finally had service, it was a completely new person who did not introduce themselves as our new server. Despite this, the food was still amazing and I would recommend eating here.

Driest burger I have ever had. Wasn't really impressed by any of the food. I should have known when they didn't ask for how to cook it. The service was good. The ambiance was a little stuffy for my taste.

So Soooo Good!!! I had the shepherds pie for dinner, and don't tell my mom... But it's the best shepherds pie I've ever had!!! Finished up my meal with a chocolate BOMB and it Was The BOMB!!!!

This place was the perfect Christmas dinner experience for our little family of 3 (we have a 3YO). I got the Christmas 3 course meal which was authentic and tasty (cheese soufflé, shepherd's pie & Christmas pudding), my wife got the Blackened Cod, and our little one got the fish & chips. The food was terrific and the desserts followed suit. The ambiance was tremendous: all dolled up for the holidays with an insane view of the Tower Bridge. Location is almost too good to be true and they did a great job on really providing the Christmas vibe. They had Christmas crackers for us which all 3 of us (as Americans) really enjoyed. Lastly, the service was excellent. I wish I could remember our server's name to include in the review because he was attentive, knowledgeable and the right amount of present. They were chock full and busy but it never felt it.

Rajan is the greatest waiter I've ever had. He was so nice, apologized for stuff that wasn't even his fault. I asked for a Steak Medium and it came out well done, when he noticed I couldn't eat it, he genuinely felt bad. Offered me a new steak immediately and amazing dinner, most waiters are just blah blah blah follow company protocol while Rajan actually talked in a way no other waiter would. Genuine talk, like what other waiter would talk about their favorite Hindu God? (By the way it was the Hindu god of energy). The food was great, steak was well done the first time but they fixed it, "chips" were great as well

Such a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of Tower Bridge. Definitely make some time before or after to stroll along the south bank. I had their crème tea with came with a generous amount of scones and pastry and tea for just £8. Enjoy!

3.5 Nice ambiance, decent food but not enough vegan and gluten free options for breakfast. Pretty decor inside and out and lovely location outside Tower of London

We are here to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday and found this restaurant to have dinner. She has a garlic allergy that is very difficult to find items that work for her. We had great service from Adina and the manager Jacob.. they took the time to work with us to come up with food choices that we could have without having a reaction to it. Adina and Jacob are excellent. Customer oriented service people at the IV restaurant and we are grateful to them.

Outstanding kitchen, excellent bar, great atmosphere, something on the menu for everyone. All in, a fantastic dining experience compromised only by an inexperienced wait staff. But I look forward to coming back.

We tried to avoid this restaurant due to bad reviews but actually we liked it. Duck salad, beef carpaccio and smoked salmon were all very good. Service was good. We are at night just before closing. The view and location by the tower bridge are very nice. Attending the bridge theatre Guys and Dolls production... next time we will plan to go to Ivy and not try to avoid it.

Stopped in and got a table for 4. The food was good, service was good, but a few times a little slow. We will be back next time in town.

Definitely our worst dining experience in five visits to London. Service was horrible as was the food. Ordered a cocktail took well over 15 minutes. My friends salad was incomplete and we had to wait a good 20 minutes for a new salad. My fish and chips were the worst in all of London. Stay far away from this place.

The zucchini sticks were too much to finish but very good and easy to share. I had the chicken Milanese which was delicious and just enough for a dinner. My wife had the lobster spaghetti and enjoyed it very much. Happy we found a good dinner restaurant after last night which was not good. The service was great and the restaurant is very pretty. The chocolate/ cherry martini was wonderful finish to a great dining experience. We will return especially if we are going to the theater next door which could not be more convenient.

Actually, not that impressed. Greeted nicely and all that, but then took ages to order drinks, then service was a bit rubbish tbh. Food, my friend said theirs was lovely, but I thought my steak was over cooked. Nice ice cream though Location is spot on, decor is lush. I would go back with the girls to sit outside and cocktails, would have to be a bit more convinced to return for food.

I went here for tea with friends and the food and tea was so tasty. You definitely get a good deal, it was $26 per person and each person got a 3 level tower for themselves and tea of choice!

Came in for dinner with a large party and they were kind enough to accommodate us without a reservation. Our server Maria was incredible. Really attentive and friendly, and the food was great. Especially recommend the Cod and Burger! And the space is just beautiful. Highly recommend this spot for a lovely dinner.

The IVY London tower Bridge Stopped hereon a Sunday after a day at London Tower and before a Thames River cruise. The feel was casual yet, still felt classy. We just walked in and were seated at a window seat with a lovely view. We were in the front part of the restaurant and not until going to the restroom, did we realize just how large this restaurant was with ample space in the back. I don't know if you need reservations to secure one of those tables, but either area is nice. The service was great and prompt even though the place was packed. The reception area staff was not as friendly as the servers and seemed to have a bit of an attitude when you first come in. It felt like we were intruding on them and did not offer a welcoming feeling. However, once past them, the experience was fantastic. Many of the patrons were having afternoon tea and from the looks of it, it is something I would love to come back to London for. We ordered an appetizer of Liver Parfait. It was flavorful, and since it is so rich, there was enough to share. We had read the reviews that this place had one of the best Shepherds Pies in London and The Ivy did not disappoint. The Shepherd pie was presented with the mashed potatoes piped on the top with sprigs of rosemary. The taste of the lamb and beef blended beautifully. It was filled with flavor and was very filling. It totally lived up to the reviews as something not to miss while in London. Although we were stuffed , we had to have dessert. The Rum Baba did not disappoint! Simple, yet elegant and light sponge cake, soaked in rum. The flavor was light and not overpowering. Finished with chantilly cream and raspberries, it was a perfect ending to a delightful afternoon.

Came here on a weekday during lunch time and it was packed! Everything was great though! The place is beautifully decorated. The service was good, drinks were good, and food was also great! The menu was pretty big and had some interesting stuff. A bit pricy though, but makes sense given the location.

I came her by myself for afternoon tea while in town for a solo celebration of finishing my master's degree. I have been before for my birthday and had a good experience. Unfortunately my time that day left MUCH to be desired. The server did not approach me for over 20 minutes, in fact the gentlman next to me (who was with his wife) asked if I wanted him to ask for assistance since I was being ignored. Finally a server came over after the gentleman paid his bill and told the server I had not been helped. After ordering I received my tea very quickly but then my accompaniments took quite a long time, while witnessing other guests who arrived after me not only receive their food but paid their bill and left. I had to ask for help again and finally my food arrived. Then another server brought me more tea and when I explained that I received my tea she said "well what do you want me to do with this?". Overall very poor and rude service but the food was good, also the hosting staff was incredibly nice and friendly.

I don't get the hype over The Ivy. Very stuffy staff, subpar service, mediocre tea that was overpriced. The view of Tower Bridge and the interior design are the only reason I'm not giving this two stars.

The food was decent, I had fish and chips. The fish and chips was satisfactory but the mushy peas was an unappetising green sludge. The interior is beautiful and I was seated close to the outdoor section; it was a really lovely atmosphere being summer and the view of Londons landmarks in the distance. The service on the other hand is very bad, the waiters all seem snobby, you have to work really hard to get their attention. At the outside section they have a giant bin right next to the till, doesn't even have a lid or box cover to make it more discreet, not really a good look to have a nasty bin out in the open where people are eating. The main guy doing service in black suit blatantly ignored us when we were try to get a waiter to help us, extremely rude to look at a guest asking for help and you just turn you head as if you dont care. Im not sure why my partner went ahead and paid service charge to these undeserving people, especially when they gave us the worst service. Service is truly lacking and letting down what would be a great all round restaurant.

The food was bland or overcooked. While this was disappointing, it is always good to be with friends. However the server was incredibly rude. We're able to laugh it off now, but it almost ruined a perfectly fine day.

I had a great experience here! The inside of the Ivy is similar to other ones with bright colors and fun decor. We came here for lunch and did the two course prefix. We were sat by the window where there was a nice view. Service was very attentive. As we were leaving the restaurant was pretty busy! The lunch was a great deal and I ended up picking out a soup and a lamb shank, both of which were delicious. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Overall we had a great time here and lunch was a great deal!

Amazing location and delicious coffee, tea, and fish/chips. Burger was lacking, but that is not the strong suit of London. Staff are attentive, tons of wine selection to choose from, and an absolutely amazing view of the Tower Bridge (not London Bridge).

The other day I met two ex-colleagues here for lunch, one of whom I hadn't seen for 41 years as he had moved to the SF Bay area and our paths never crossed subsequently till now The food was pretty much standard Ivy fare, reliable and decent; the wine was also very acceptable...but... ...what stood out was the level of service from the moment you walk through the door I was early while one of the others was delayed because of a cancelled train. They were expecting me; I asked if I could keep the table after for another meeting afterwards with another ex-colleague (no problem); they recharged my phone which had decided to empty itself on the train up to town, and basically just looked after me and then us all from the moment everyone arrived At the afternoon meeting we just had tea and a yummy dessert - a change in staff did not lessen the service level In all, a must-come-again experience! Funny, because we were in Guildford the other day and stumbled over their Ivy place; we looked in and it was jam-packed full with a least a 30 minute wait...next time in Guildford or London, we book in advance!

Dinner was lovely for fathers day service was excellent thanks to Collin who was attentive and recommended certain items on the menu. Nice setting with a modern yet elegant feel. Will return for more meals.

I am always most disappointed when a restaurant looks five star, has a five star location and has every ability to be five star by just being; and instead takes the low road and gut shots you with service conceived, planned and delivered by imbeciles. I sat at a window on the Themes with views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge at 8:10 AM, intending to have a fast and wonderful breakfast and walk to the Tower for opening at 9AM. It's 9:26AM as I write this. My coffee is cold, my omelette has ham that was salted by a salt company and my crumpet was lukewarm. The servers look like servers but left me sit, stew and in spite of inquiries and several pleas for food and service I am left wondering what trust fund baby inherited this from his Dad and decided that location was all that was needed. Do not go here.

My friends and I are visiting London for a few days and were looking for the traditional tea experience. The Ivy came recommended to us by a friend so we were hopeful. However, from the first interaction with the hostess, we had a sour taste in our mouth. We then proceeded to sit at our table for 30 minutes without anyone coming over to even pour us water. We decided we didn't want to waste our 30 dollars on poor service and likely mediocre food. When we left, someone in our party mentioned something kindly to the hostess and she didn't even apologize and instead made a rude comment in return. Overall horrible experience and I would not come here.

What an amazing experience! We were running late so we had to push our booking time and they were super accommodating. We put in a request for patio seating. They couldn't give us a guarantee but when we arrived, they gave us the BEST seat of the house. It was a 2 top right as you enter the patio. It was exclusive and away from the crowd, and it was perfect! Of course, to welcome my friend visiting the UK, we did the afternoon English tea and it was perfect! I've had it at another location and it was just as good and best bang for your buck. We also, did the champagne option and actually even ended up getting a whole bottle to celebrate our reunion. Our server was great and very attentive but it seemed quite busy and overwhelming with the crowd growing. He could've definitely used another hand out there. However, he was great! Thank you again!

When we arrived we asked the hostess if they had room for two and she responded no. We asked if we could eat at the bar and again she said no. At that moment another hostess approached and my wife asked to use the bathroom. The hostess noticed the other hostess approaching and gave my wife a hesitant yes. While I was waiting the hostess we spoke to left. Another couple came in and asked for a table for two but the hostess said there wasn't one available but offered to seat them at the bar. They decided not to stay and I said my wife and I would take the available seats at the bar. As we walked in I noticed there were only two people at a bar that seats at least 12. Was the first hostess being intentionally rude? I think so. Then we each ordered steaks cooked medium rare, different cuts. My wife's steak came out well done and mine very rare. The bar tenders were very nice and the cocktails delicious.

horrible! made reservations for tea. the reception desk was very condescending (lady, you're in the uk equivalent of Times Square - you have nothing to be uppity about). we were seated in the hallway. asked to be reseated - refused. music blaring "we are family" and similar at top volume. anything but a restful afternoon tea. we left

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I made a reservation here weeks in advance to celebrate my proposal at tower bridge to my now fiancée and made a request for champagne on arrival. The champagne never made it to the table and when I asked the staff about it they were very rude and dismissive. They took my question out on us by ignoring our table for the first half hour before bringing us water or asking what we wanted. We were some of the only people in the restaurant. The food was alright besides some of the fruit flies buzzing around it the entire time we were eating. This place has some nice scenery but there's other places around I wish we would have went to instead to celebrate a special moment and not get talked down to

Both food and service are subpar. View is good as it's next to tower bridge. Waiter doesn't speak English well... take a few tries sometimes. Food portion is small and quality is subpar.
