So if you care about going to places everybody goes because there is a vibe to them, then maybe you would enjoy this place more. I just don’t under the hype about it and I think their breakfast dishes are very ordinary. However, given my dietary restrictions I cannot try some of their more famous dishes. Over all I feel most people go there for the vibe or because it’s an old local place (this I appreciate and understand) but they can do better on their menu imo

Tucked away in a quiet Ann Arbor neighborhood, Jefferson Market is a delightful corner café that feels both timeless and alive. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm wood floors, vintage kitchen décor, and a bustling open kitchen behind the counter. It’s got that rare small-town energy—relaxed but efficient. We came for brunch and ordered huevos rancheros, the classic biscuit breakfast plate, a latte and a raspberry biscuit sandwich. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and well-balanced. The huevos rancheros had rich flavors with just the right amount of heat and crunch. The biscuit plate came with golden potatoes, perfectly cooked sunny-side eggs, and a generous slab of sausage—comfort food done right. The mini biscuit sandwich was a lovely sweet-savory treat, buttery and soft without being heavy. Service was cheerful and casual. You order at the counter and find your own seat, but the staff check in on you and keep things moving. The café fills up fast on weekends, but the line moves quickly. It’s clearly a favorite for families, students, and longtime locals. Highly recommend for a relaxed weekend brunch. This is one of those places that makes you feel like part of the neighborhood, even if you’re just passing through.

It’s a nice atmosphere here, but it took forever to place an order and to get our food. Granted it was busy, they felt a bit understaffed to keep up with demand. Food was good & filling— props to the cooks! Nice location close to A2 schools and church. Would recommend for a low key spot.

This place is like if you took an average coney breakfasts and made them 10x better. Really enjoyed it. House made biscuits were bomb. Only thing is I wish their gravy was more peppery but other than that 🤌.

First impression walking in was lovely, it’s very cute inside. I ordered a black coffee with honey, the Egg and Cheese biscuit, and a side of their potatoes. The biscuit was delicious, I added the homemade sausage patty and it was amazing. The potatoes were just “meh”, could definitely be a bit warmer. I was unaware they don’t allow computers, which I don’t mind at all but some people might so I wanted to include that. Atmosphere was nice, I went in around 9:45am and by 10 it was almost full. Love the knick-knacks they’ve got around the place, especially the old cameras :) I would say that it doesn’t seem like the place you’d want to kick back and hang out for an extended period of time because they were busy enough to need the table back, but for a quick bite and a good coffee it’s definitely worth the trip.

Google
This is my favorite breakfast spot in Ann Arbor. The food is always amazing! It's just a small space so there isn't always seating inside. Saturday and Sunday mornings can get pretty busy unless you get there right when they open.

Google
Great place but probably more for locals. many menu items are missing a picture next to them. which is definitely needed!

Google
What a cool place! Middle of the block across from the elementary school we almost missed it. Great breakfast for 3! Avocado toast on amazing bread with olive oil. Eggs cooked perfectly with fresh biscuits and homemade sausage. We loved the strong coffee (and we’re picky). Super friendly service. Bit loud - would benefit from some acoustic materials. Baked goods looked great.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot in AA! It's such a cute neighborhood spot. The space itself is small and can get quite busy. You can see them cooking which adds to the charm of the place. You order at the counter and then they seat you and bring out your food. I loved everything we tried. We had the breakfast burrito, pancakes with fresh strawberries and cream, zatar fries and side of biscuit with jam. The quality and flavor were overall so good. The pancakes were some of the best I had in Ann Arbor. They were so fresh and fluffy. The biscuit was buttery and flaky. The staff is so friendly. I appreciate how all the staff were wearing masks. The prices were very reasonable.

Yelp
Very cute neighborhood spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch! If you don't live in walking distance, you definitely have to mean to go here (vs stumbling across). Street parking on 5th and 4th. Handful of menu items for breakfast and lunch respectively, which I just assume are their "tried and trues". Walked in around 8:15am on a Friday and placed an order to go, and it was less than a 10min wait. While I was there, others walked in to pick up orders that were either called in or done online prior. Seems like that's the move! I can imagine wait times would be longer during busier hours. Ok the food. We got the breakfast burrito, add chorizo and potato, as well as a corned beef hash with scrambled egg, and split both. Loved the corned beef hash! The corned beef was plentiful, with great flavor. Their scrambled eggs were soft and buttery. The burrito was good, but I feel like might sometimes be better? It includes ingredients like salsa verde, pickled onions, and cilantro, but they didn't really come through in my half at least. Overall it was soft and warm and melty but I think I was missing some of the flavor/textural elements which sound like are typically there. This breakfast will fill you up!

Yelp
We have a very enjoyable experience at the Jefferson Market with our family. I have the avocado toast and my son had the burrito and while we would have said that they were average, my husband and other son and his fiance ordered egg dishes and raved about how great they were and how they wanted to make sure they came back. I really enjoyed the coffee.

Yelp
DELISH. I've been here for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast burrito ($10.5 - Grilled flour tortilla filled with scrambled Grazing Fields eggs, jack cheese, black beans with onions and peppers, salsa verde, crema, pickled onions & cilantro) is the best you'll have in town! It's a behemoth of a burrito and it'll definitely fill you up! I also had the huevos rancheros ($12.75 - crispy corn tortillas, black beans, ranchero sauce, sunny-side up eggs & avocado) which was good BUT I loved the breakfast burrito so much that it was hard to compete. For lunch, I DREAM of their za'atar fries. It's not because of the seasoning or the side of masala ketchup but rather just how perfect these french fries are. You can tell they're fresh, hand cut. I've also had a few of their pastries. Solid, but nothing notable. You can't go wrong! The staff has been so friendly every single time - especially when we "dined in" on the back patio. Their hours are very lunch oriented, but it's worth the advanced planning!

Yelp
What a cute place! It was so beautiful to come here during early fall. It's so cozy inside and feels like a slower pace since it's away about from downtown Ann Arbor. The food was so good! Everything was fresh and high quality ingredients. And the service was quick. I like that you have to order before you sit down to prevent people from holding tables. 10/10 breakfast spot!

Yelp
Our first time in, the line was so long that we had to leave before we could even order. I've thought about going back for months and was so pleased that when we did, the wait was very reasonable. (Many students weren't back from break yet!) I got the Roasted Beet & Sweet Potato Pita and was slightly disappointed that it wasn't more flavorful. My husband's breakfast burrito, however, was absolutely divine! (Add the housemade chorizo and potatoes if those are your thing!) We also grabbed a few cookies for later and they were very tasty as well. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu or to grab a couple of those delicious breakfast burritos to go!

Emily U.

Yelp
I swear it's impossible to have a bad meal here. My go to is always the biscuit breakfast sandwich but everything I've tried is great. A classic and easily the best breakfast/brunch spot in Ann Arbor. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekends!

Yelp
Located in such a peaceful environment, the interior to exterior to outdoor dinning backyard area all feels too magical to be true. Overall the service was great there were mix of very pleasant front of house to not so friendly front of house. They seem to be short staffed, so it's understandable. We waited quite some time to order as the cashier has to split time between taking order and making drinks. We ordered the blueberry pancake, huevos rancheros and the biscuit. Truly there was nothing bad to say about any of these items. The blueberry pancake was so fluffy and the lemon curd, butter and maple syrup made the perfect combination of flavour. The blueberry in the pancakes also were very juicy! The huevos rancheros was very thoughtfully made with fresh ingredient, not overdone can taste the natural flavours of the ingredients. Had a great crunch from the tortillas! The biscuits were very simple and true to what biscuits should be. Crisp on the outside, moist on the inside, perfect balance of savoury and sweetness (butter & jam/spread). Their jam is also house made and very delicious and authentic. The Jefferson market is a hidden gem, their simple and fresh ingredients do not need to hide behind flashy gimmicks.

Yelp
Jefferson Street Market is still masking and social distancing like it's 2020. Don't try to enter the building - I set off a mild panic by opening the front door, and was quickly chased down to the bottom of the steps by a mask-wearing server. Walk-up customers must wait on the sidewalk to the left of the entrance to order, with people waiting to pick up their order wait on the sidewalk to the right. A server will come out to take your order, several steps away, and you pay by inserting your card at a Square reader sitting on a small table. Your food, in a brown paper bag, will be deposited on another outdoor table to pick up. Yes, you must wear a mask if you choose to eat on their outdoor patio. Was Jefferson Street worth the hassle? I pondered this question as I watched a steady stream of "in the know" customers, all of whom had ordered ahead, picking up their breakfast orders. When I asked a guy picking up if the breakfast burritos were any good, I got an orgasmic "oh yeahhh, dude." And then my egg and cheese biscuit was delivered and I understood. It was like a breakfast cloud - a light and fluffy cheese omelette surrounded by an equally fluffy fresh-baked savory biscuit. I'll be back and will call ahead next time.

Yelp
Jefferson Market was definitely a really nice quaint spot in Ann Arbor. The line was long at first but it moves fast. The servers were all incredibly kind and seemed passionate about their work. Breakfast burrito- the egg was cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful, however still not the best I've had. The chorizo was ok at best. Pancakes - I am a big strawberry shortcake guy and these pancakes were amazing/fluffy Biscuits and Gravy- honestly, I am not a huge biscuits and gravy person but these were to die for. The biscuit was flakey and the gravy flavors were not overbearing. Overall a pleasant experience and will come again with college friends!

Yelp
The food here seemed alright. I ordered pancakes and avocado toast, which were both fine but not particularly exceptional. We waited 25 minutes for the food, which would've been fine (they were pretty busy). However, they didn't bring our drinks (even water) for that whole time! They brought out drinks for literally every other table very quickly, but not ours. When our food did arrive, we had to wait an additional 5 minutes for the silverware and drinks while our food was sitting there getting cold. They gave a very half-assed apology. In summary, if I'm going to eat food that's just OK, I'd like the service to not be awful.

Yelp
10/10 stars if I could. I always come here early because the line can get long pretty quickly! I've only come here post-Covid, but from my experience each time, you wait in line outside to order and then a friendly man pops out the front door to take it! There's also an option to order online to-go and you don't have to wait in the line. My favorite is their Simple Breakfast: two eggs, house-made ginger sage sausage, home fries with sour cream, fresh biscuit, pear jam, and whipped butter. Paired with an iced coffee while sitting on their back patio? Simply excellent. Service is always friendly, able to recommend something delicious, and working hard bussing tables or bringing out food. I'd love to stop in soon for lunch and try out more things on the menu!

Yelp
I got the sweet potato beet pita but salad version to have it gluten free. The fries are also in a dedicated fryer which is really nice and good for gluten free. The service was really nice and fast as well. Also the location is adorable and the decorations are nice to give a homey vibe.

Yelp
This place was so cute! You can tell it's owned by a family and they attract a very nice group of people. I decided to go here because I was attracted to the chicken salad sandwich and the ingredients were interesting. However, by the time I got a chance to look at the menu and after exchanging pleasantries from a very helpful frequent patron of the restaurant l, I changed my order to the Simple Breakfast. Which did not disappoint! Everything was very delicious and portions are appropriate for the cost - the real star player here is the biscuit omggg it was so good and flakey! and they give you a nice scoop of whipped butter and jam to complement it. I ended up making a little breakfast sandwich with my eggs, bacon and biscuit and it was amazing. It was unfortunate to hear that they no longer have cake slices, since that also peaked my interest in coming in here for the first time but instead I got a carrot muffin and it was so good, not too sweet and it has actual slices of carrot in it. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Sunday morning breakfast places are either packed or (yawn) all seem to serve the same thing. What if I told you there's a hidden gem nestled in Ann Arbor's neighborhood that has great food, caters to those with allergies and has a great backyard for enjoying the outdoors? Located across the street from Bach Elementary, we had a great breakfast without the long wait and the run of the mill breakfast food. Try it! You won't be sorry!

Yelp
If you can snag a table on a good weather day, Jefferson Market's back patio is a lovely way to spend a morning. As a tea drinker, I appreciate their non-coffee selections. The food I've tried has been great, particularly their pastries and muffins.

M C.

Yelp
Not really a market (you couldn't even enter the building when we visited), but they've made it into a nice "to go" food producer, which combined with outdoor seating, a menu stand and a Square credit card processor effectively makes this a pseudo restaurant... in the middle of a walking neighborhood. Staff was nice and Huevos Rancheros were FABULOUS. Menu and seating are, not surprisingly, limited, and the vibe is ultra-granola (consistent with neighborhood). Guess I should have expected that too when I saw fully masked employees (and some guests) outdoors, in June of 2023! To each his own

Yelp
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! My friend and I got the Simple Breakfast and EVERYTHING on the plate was a 10/10 (would highly recommend the bacon). The people were so sweet and the vibe was amazing. Also a really nice and pretty 20-ish minute walk from Central Ann Arbor. We'll definitely be coming here again!

Albert S.

Yelp
Should be a friendly neighborhood place, but the service is pushy and I don't feel welcome. The breakfast is mediocre. Not worth a visit, despite the nice neighborhood location.
google avatar

Dion T.

Yelp
The owners are great, my family swears by the lemon curd pancakes, and the ginger sausage has great flavor without being overpowering. Love the ambiance of the patio seating, this will be a regular spot for us. Parking is usually not an issue on the side streets, you may have to walk for a block or so.

Yelp
Jefferson Market, tucked into a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood on Ann Arbor's Westside, is a 5-star gem...period. I'm updating my previous review (also 5 stars) from March 2020 when Jefferson Market was the last restaurant I dined inside prior to Michigan's complete COVID lockdown which came about a week later. Returning today with my wife for a late breakfast after an appointment downtown, we found the "Jefferson" was still closed for indoor dining but open for outside dining on the back patio. After placing our order on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, one of the owners led us down the narrow, gravel path surrounded with vegetation to the back patio. With a half dozen tables and some umbrellas, the patio was exactly what you'd expect in this eccentric college town. It had a "bohemian coffee shop" feel to it with 3 red hearts drawn in chalk on a white-washed brick wall. While waiting for our meals, we enjoyed the warmth of the rays of sun peaking down on us through the tree branches overhead. We ordered three items: First, a Ham & Egg Breakfast Biscuit with grilled ham, two omeletted eggs, mushrooms, Swiss Cheese and grilled onions on a Marty J bun. My wife loved this and rated it a solid fiver. Next, I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros with crispy corn tortillas, black beans, avocado, sunny side up eggs and Jefferson's own ranchero sauce. This dish is absolutely over-the-moon...a 10 out of 10! Finally, I had to order and try Jefferson's version of Avocado Toast with vegan "Parm", crushed red pepper and extra virgin olive oil on a hearty and delicious toasted sunflour rye bread....clearly, another winner! Jefferson Market personifies the soul of small business in A2 and earns my highest recommendation for a superior meal in the Deuce.

Yelp
The search for a great brunch spot never ceases, and Jefferson Market was a new find that may become a regular go-to spot. Located west of the downtown core, the first point in its favor is ample on-street, free parking. After making our way in, we met up with friends in the open and airy restaurant. With high ceilings and tiled floors, and a kitchen that opens out to the dining area, the restaurant feels particularly spacious. We ordered at the register and waited for our meal to be brought to the table. I was feeling like a light lunch, and decided on the soup (creamy chicken and rice) and salad as my meal on that day. It was quickly delivered, with the soup at the perfect temperature and the salad the perfect crisp, with just the right splash of vinaigrette to keep it a little flavorful. The welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and location that is off the beaten path make Jefferson Market a place that begs to be discovered. Check it out and it may just become a new favorite place for you as well!

Yelp
Amazing! Such a cute spot and the food lived up to the hype. Fav breakfast spot in Ann Arbor! Our waitresses were incredible and the service was fantastic!

Yelp
Best breakfast in Ann Arbor, hands down. Everything on the menu is delicious (my favorites are the pancakes with blueberries and lemon curd, the breakfast burrito, and the huevos rancheros) and overall it's a very charming and cozy spot that's tucked away in a neighborhood just outside of town. In non-covid times we loved to eat inside but they have a cute little outdoor area in the back that's lovely to sit at when the weather is nice.

Yelp
With the new ownership comes a great new vibe. Jefferson Market it the cutest place to walk to for brunch, lunch, coffee, or tea from the Old West Side of Ann Arbor. I had eaten brunch here about a year ago and hadn't gone back until this past weekend because of the experience I had then. My first visit here with the former management in place was entirely lackluster and honestly disappointing. The food was a little pretentious, they were completely missing in the breakfast and brunch basics, and the vibe was very clique-ish and unwelcoming. Needless to say after that visit I vowed never to go back again. Until I saw that there were new owners. My experience this past weekend was fantastic. Stopped in for an iced tea and a baked good right before closing during the old west side homes tour. The owner was working the register and he was so friendly and kind and welcoming. Such a different vibe than previously. I looked at the menu for my next visit (which there will be) and saw multiple dishes I want to try. Elevated brunch basics, some specialty items, and a good selection of breakfast and lunch offerings. Can't wait to go back for a meal. So glad to have a welcoming atmosphere back in this neighborhood business. And let's say that the specialty scone I tried was amazing. Probably one of the best scones I've ever had, and with Scottish ancestry that's saying something. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Their za'atar fries are AMAZING! But their mask policy is dumb. You order outside and then they ask you to put on your mask to walk to your table (that's also outside) and they ask you to put on your mask when they bring you your food/drink. Never once did I step inside (which was great). I think it's important for the owners to understand how this is perceived. I get that they are being cautious and protecting their employees but their logic makes no sense: A server stood right next to me, as I was unmasked eating, while they waited for the table they were serving to put on their masks. I also watched a server answer their phone and then proceed to deliver a table's drinks. The server did not sanitize their hands after touching their phone. I'm giving 4 stars because the food is great, it's a cute location, and I love that they compost but their mask policy just makes no sense.

Yelp
I have to give a shout out to this amazing breakfast place. Unbelievably, we (my family) knew the owners from when they worked, for so many years, in Oakland, CA at one of the most famous breakfast spots in the East Bay. Who would imagine bumping into them in the middle of Ann Arbor???? The realization started when worrying about the number of Latin Inspired dishes listed for breakfast...I have had some bad experiences with this in Michigan...just saying it could use some work typically. But when I heard "Go Dubs", recognizing a Town sports cap, I made the connection. This was a family from my hometown. And they had brought their California/Latin inspired flavors with them! Don't miss this spot for good cooking. They have had years to master it. And the coffee is delicious too...a must for breakfast or any other reason really.

Yelp
Shop local, eat local! This is a cute small place that's perfect for brunch, a quick coffee or just want to hang out outside! I've lived in Ann Arbor for 10 years and had never been to this place for brunch! They serve breakfast to a certain time on weekdays and weekends, but they also have several items for lunch. I opted for lunch since it was the later part of the morning. I ordered their Sunflower Salad, which was a bowl full of greens, spinach, asparagus, snap peas, crispy sunflower rye croutons, pea tendrils, sunflower shoots (and seeds), radishes and an orange-sunfower vinaigrette. I asked if I could add a side of their marinated and seared tofu which they were happy to do for a slight up charge (I needed the extra protein!). The salad was so light and fresh and the tofu was flavored so well and was a great addition - I highly recommend adding the tofu to the salad. The staff was so friendly and the place has so much charm. You can sit inside or outside and they have chalk for kids to draw on the sidewalk and they also allow dogs on their outdoor patio. Prices were fine and you get quite a bit of food for the price! I can't wait to go back :)

Yelp
I have a good friend who is a professional chef and used to work here years ago. She convinced me to try it. Since it is conveniently located right across the street from Bach, I brought my boys here almost daily for treats. It's a small , charming building located in the old west side. Don't let the stature fool you, this food rivals some of the best places downtown, particularly brunch options and baked goods.

Yelp
A brunch place that I want to introduce to more friends for good foods but also do not want it to be too busy and need to wait for an even longer time.

Yelp
Very cute local restaurant. Super hipster, as well, and the food was delicious. When I stay in Ann Arbor to visit a friend, we usually hit up Washtenaw Dairy (also a tasty place) in the morning for donuts, but today she suggested this place. It's walkable from downtown Ann Arbor but we drove it since we were heading downtown anyways. I had the Harvest Hash, which had potatoes, onions, and other veggies, atop polenta (and it was vegan, so they must have used oil or something in place of butter). The place is now owned by Mighty Good Coffee so they have a large selection of lattes, etc. I don't drink coffee but I'm sick this week so I ordered a Jasmine tea, which was good; the cashier said that if I didn't end up liking it, I could try a different tea flavor, too, which I appreciated. My breakfast also came with a small side salad, and I think the potatoes and such were topped with apple cider honey, it said, which was delicious. It's a little on the pricey side ($9.00 for my breakfast and $2.50 for tea) but the atmosphere is very nice. Seemed like it was very family-friendly, as well. They also had a sign up saying that for breakfast, they are reserving the tables for people not working (i.e., people without laptops) which was interesting. Definitely would come back, I'm not sure if the menu rotates but the entire menu looked fantastic.

Yelp
Very good fluffy pancakes. I recommend getting the pancake with blueberries and lemon curd. The signature latte with cinnamon and honey was good too. This cute cafe is great for a catch up brunch and a coffee break. Staff are friendly and helpful. I will be back!

Yelp

Yelp
One of Ann Arbor's hidden gems! I love the outdoor patio in the back. During the colder months, they had heat lamps. Tables were spaced a good distance apart - I was very impressed with the COVID precautions they took. I highly recommend ordering the home fries!

Yelp
Jefferson Market is a great neighborhood spot. I love both coming here to get takeout and hanging out on their patio in back. The quality of their food is really good: the fruit salad is really fresh and the baked goods and coffee / tea are also standout. I've never had something I didn't like here. Also the owners have been very nice when I've been there.

Yelp
Jefferson Market was a really nice brunch place slightly off campus. There is plenty of free 2 hour street parking spots around the restaurant so finding a place to park is not an issue. It's an order then seat yourself style restaurant which was very convenient. The interior was clean and gave off a diner/cafe kind of vibe. I loved the eccentric decorations around the restaurant. I love a good savory breakfast so I ordered the breakfast burrito and added on potatoes and chorizo for a $2 extra fee. The chorizo was flavorful and savory but not overpowering. It was very well balanced with the potatoes and beans. One of my pet peeves is when a burrito has too much cheese but this had just the right amount. I was full after eating half the burrito but it was so good, I finished it all! I appreciated that they served mixed greens on the side to keep the meal from getting too heavy. Overall, this will definitely be a new go to brunch spot!

Yelp
This cute little café is a hidden gem. I love that they serve both breakfast and lunch at the same time, because sometimes when it's the weekend and you've slept in until almost lunch time but you still feel like you want breakfast too, it's nice to be able to get both. That's why this weekend we ordered the Caritas Wrap (weekly special) and the Breakfast Burrito (chorizo and potato), plus a Pear Walnut Muffin. Everything was yummy, but I think the muffin was one of the best I've ever had. During Covid, they are offering online ordering and curbside pickup, and since it's in a neighborhood, it's easy to find a spot on the street to wait while they bring your food. Great little neighborhood brunch spot.

Yelp
Wow, I can't believe I live a few blocks from here and it took me so many months to go to. Such a great breakfast/brunch option! As no one seems to care about Covid anymore, the staff at Jefferson market are still very Covid conscious. With that you order from outside and never enter their building, they also ask that you wear a mask when interacting with them. We got the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito - both an 8/10 for taste! The garden area out back feels like you are so isolated and serene, which is a nice reprieve from the craziness of downtown. I was very impressed that while we were eating the staff came out to let us know a storm was coming in and they opened all the umbrellas and rolled them over to cover us - they were doing all they could to help out which was very appreciated! Will 100% go back sooner this time!

Yelp
This cute little market is very much off the beaten path and burrowed in a residential part of town, but it is worth the trek out! We came on a particularly cold morning for breakfast (a nice mix of wind, rain, snow mixture in the air) and the owner swiftly cleaned off a wet table and chairs and wheeled a heat lamp closer to us to ensure that we were comfortable eating outside. His hospitality was so very appreciated on this frigid morning. The COVID safety measures were great. I felt very comfortable eating here. Table were socially distanced. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves, silverware and cups are compostable/disposable, only staff are allowed in the shop. The food. Wow. So sad we had JUST discovered this little gem because otherwise we would've been by so much more! Best burrito in Ann Arbor as declared by my boyfriend, which I wholeheartedly second. The breakfast burrito with potatoes and chorizo was the bomb! We typically order different entrees so we can try more stuff, but the burrito looked too good, so we both got the same things this time. Can't wait to be back to try more of their wonderful breakfast offerings! Our new favorite breakfast joint in Ann Arbor.

Yelp
Breakfast was delicious. Amazing cinnamon rolls! Nice atmosphere, but currently only offering outdoor seating.

Yelp
Best chorizo breakfast burrito I've had. So thankful their in the neighborhood. Wasn't sure what to expect, but when one of the staff described the heart and intentionality of how they make what they serve, I knew something great was about to happen. Not disappointed.

Yelp
Such a lovely community breakfast and lunch spot. We have tried their pancakes, very reasonably priced for kids at only $7. Nice and fluffy and they are upgradable to blueberry and lemon curd, strawberry and whipped cream, or chocolate chips. I love their breakfast burritos. I have also sampled their egg breakfast and love that they allow for a wider variety of sides than a typical breakfast joint. Instead, of only offering sides of meat and potatoes you could get a salad, biscuit, fruit, or roasted veggies! Their baked goods are great and they offer muffin choices that rotate; some include peach/pecan or ginger/blueberry. They just have a few parking spots in front of the store but, I have always been able to snag a spot probably because, most customers are getting their orders as take out. They do offer outdoor seating at the back of their restaurant but considering the size of the restaurant, I would suspect there are not many tables available. The food seems freshly made and the customer service is always friendly and efficient. Online ordering for curbside pickup works well. I love going there for a quick morning breakfast with the family, on mornings I just can't stand to cook.

Yelp
This has to be one of the quaintest little cafes I've ever been to in Ann Arbor. I was refreshingly surprised by how good the food was. I had the Tom Yum soup, a latte and a chocolate chip muffin. All completely vegan! Often times grabbing a healthy bite to eat or simply enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend can be a daunting task in the city. This market has lots of street parking and is easily accessible. I was reluctant at first because most restaurants with the word "market" in the title usually don't fit my palate, but I was so impressed that I was honestly disappointed by the fact that I had never been before! I highly recommend it!!! Oh and the staff were extremely helpful with all my dietary questions!

Yelp
As soon as I tried one of the biscuits I had to give this place a 5 star review. It was really perfect and impressively light and fluffy, had that little crisp on the outside. It tasted almost like cake with the really sweet strawberry jam. Everything else was pretty standard breakfast fare, nicely poached eggs even in a carry out box is no small feat. I will probably get around to trying more of the menu and I absolutely have to get another biscuit or two.

Yelp
The egg, cheese, and sausage biscuit is the closest thing to an out of body experience I have ever had. Be warned: no biscuit you eat hereafter will ever be comparable to this one. Great coffee. Enticing menu. To run this cafe strikes me as being a LOT of work, but the owners and their staff are doing an excellent job. They deserve a line out the door -- and I know this would mean a delay in getting to that breakfast sandwich, but I would wait as long as it takes.

Yelp
Awesome before the pandemic, and still awesome now! The food is really good, the location is off-the-beaten-path in the best possible way, and they have done a really great job since reopening. Carryout orders are a breeze; just call ahead and call when you get there, and someone will bring your food right out to your car. The Vietnamese tofu noodle salad is definitely a highlight. The tofu is full of soy flavor and grilled really nicely. The chef really knows how to appropriately season. Most of the lunch sandwiches taste better in my opinion with the side salad (the dressing is great and brings in some good acidity), though I love the fries (thick cut, nice and starchy, great Zatar spice) and so I'll sometimes get both on the side. Seems like the scones are no longer available which is unfortunate because they were so, so good. But, they have side biscuits now which are PHENOMENAL. The jam and butter are great. The ONLY reason I'd say 4/5 is because they still serve Mighty Good coffee. Don't get me wrong, the actual coffee is so good. But Mighty Good did not treat their workers great (in part leading to the closing of all their storefronts). So I'd be much happier if they served a different roaster. 5/5 food and service though. I'm always happy to support this small business.

Yelp
I like this place so much I'm scared if this place gets a lot of reviews, everyone will go (but also everyone should go). It does already seem like everyone knows this is one of the best places in town because it was packed! The food - deliciousness. The place - cute breakfasty joint perfection. The staff - so nice. For such a cute diner the food is also presented so nicely. Ordered the Huevos Rancheros and take it from a native Southwesterner amazing and maybe one of the best ones I've had.

Yelp
Not too long ago, Jefferson Market was one of the first places I had gone to get my hubs a birthday cake. It was our first time spending his birthday together, just the two of us, since getting married. This, of course, didn't stop me from ordering a huge tiramisu cake and sharing with the world, however. Just a few days before, I made the order and when I arrived I was given a huge cake for about $30 in a nice, albeit OPEN box. We would enjoy this treat for weeks to come, and I was happy to have discovered this gem. That brings me 2 years later, on the last weekend of February 2017, when a lovely friend of mine shared with me that they would be closing. It was a bit heartbreaking because anytime I had attempted to go, there was never any open tables, OR SPACE, for that matter to wait. Of course, on the Market's second to last day, I would find, not only SPACE, but two adorable couches for my friend and I to lay on while awaiting our orders. She decided on the pancakes and scrambled eggs, I would have the Mt. Rushmore, a gorgeous egg scramble with fresh veggies, including red onion, bell peppers and hash browns all over with turkey sausage on the side. Unfortunately, it took them quite some time to get our order to us, close to 45 minutes. This was fine though because it was their last hurrah, and because of our heinous wait, we were treated to a little extra love, which we felt in every bite of our food. The owner kindly told us of her departure. They weren't going to move but they had decided to sell, to another, awesome Ann Arbor staple. Apparently, the new installation will be there soon enough and similar to the adorable nook that this restaurant once was. I'm looking forward to what may come of this space, but in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the memories I've had because of this adorable place. Spring is coming, in more ways than one.
