With so many new hotels constantly popping up in the city, it’s tempting to try something different. But after 10 years of consistently wonderful stays here, we’ve never found a reason to switch. There’s a quiet charm and consistency to this boutique hotel that newer places simply can’t replicate.||From the moment you arrive, the welcome is warm and personal. Staff remember returning guests by name — a rare touch that instantly makes you feel at home. Every visit feels like coming back to something familiar, comfortable, and thoughtfully refined.||The recent upgrades are subtle but meaningful — a smoother arrival, thoughtful details in the rooms — and yet the core of what makes this place special hasn’t changed. Housekeeping remains meticulous, the atmosphere remains calm and elegant, and the service is still genuinely heartfelt.||A sincere congratulations to Angela, Tommy, Reagan, Olivia, and to the entire team. Ten years on, you continue to set the standard — and we’re already looking forward to the next stay.

My wife and I spent five days at this hotel, and we had a fantastic experience. The location is great—within walking distance to the metro, trams, and ferry terminal—and there are plenty of awesome restaurants, shops, and nightlife nearby. They offer laundry services, but you can also do laundry yourself for free, which is a nice bonus. Our room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable, making us feel right at home. Angela, Tommy, Joyce, Edwin and the rest of the staff were exceptional and took great care of us. They even went out of their way to make sure my pregnant wife was comfortable and well looked after. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. A solid 10/10 experience!

I had an amazing stay at The Jervois in Sheung Wan whereas just a few minutes walk from MTR station. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request, making me feel truly welcome. The service apartment itself was well-equipped with everything I needed, from kitchen essentials to comfortable furnishings, ensuring a hassle-free stay. Cleanliness was impeccable, with the housekeeping team maintaining the space to a high standard. One of the highlights was the rooftop garden, a peaceful retreat where I could unwind after a busy day. Despite being in the heart of Sheung Wan, the apartment offered a perfect balance of convenience and tranquility, providing a quiet escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for a comfortable and well-managed service apartment in Hong Kong, I highly recommend this place!

I stayed at this hotel for one night and had a good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, making my stay very enjoyable. What really stood out, however, was the staff—they were efficient and friendly. However, I couldn't figure out how to use the coffee machine. It just wouldn't turn on. The room didn't have a hair dryer or toothbrush, which was a bit inconvenient.

Outstanding and friendly service from Angela, Anna, Joyce, and Timothy. Room is modern and spacious with a good mattress, good water pressure, good wi-fi and TV, a comfortablr couch and an in-room water filter system that is very convenient. The hotel is located very conveniently about a 3 minute walk from the MTR Sheung Wan station, and near the famous trams as well. The breakfast package gives you a variety of options to dine in at different cafes near the hotel. We had a great experience and would recommend this!

Great location and modern apartment with lovely living area. 2nd bedroom was really a sitting room but we made it work. Having a washing machine in the room was great but no clothes horse for the clothes. Overall it was a good apartment and suited our needs.

Stayed for two weeks in the 2 bedroom suite. Very spacious in terms of Hong Kong standard, good amenities in room. Good location, easy access to metro and bus route, a lot of food choices nearby. Staff were extremely helpful.

Perfect location and such a spacious room with stunning floor to ceiling views and a powerful waterfall shower. Most importantly, as we stayed for around 3 days, it was quiet and a very comfortable bed. Daily nespresso and filtered water were a treat. The staff were excellent and quick to help with any small issues we had, particularly Angela and Tommy, who really made an effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Given it was my second time back here, they provided an upgrade to a suite which was amazing! We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
The Jervois / Sheung Wan (Hong Kong) -- After staying in three successive luxury hotels in Taipei, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur, Jamie W and I were in the mood for something a bit more functionally elegant since we were midway through our East Asian adventure. This turned out to be the perfect choice because we ended up booking a One Bedroom Suite with a Queen Bed with my available credit card points. It was really a small furnished apartment with a kitchenette and contemporary West Elm-style furnishings. It would've cost us at least US$255 per night if we paid outright. What's more, they had multiple washers and dryers on the first floor just when we needed to do our laundry. The front desk staff was first-rate with hotel services and local insights, as was the housekeeping staff stationed next to the laundry. There was no fancy lobby here and no need for one. That's what I mean by 'functionally elegant'. The hotel's Sheung Wan location was ideal for anyone interested in hanging out in the hip-heavy Central district. We were within walking distance of some of the best noodle houses, coffee shops, and gay bars. Hong Kong Station, the Star Ferry Pier, and even Victoria Peak were not that much further away. A great spot. RELATED - Exploring Hong Kong? Here's my collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/3AGgadg

Yelp
Absolutely loved staying at The Jervois. Every "room" is either a one-bedroom or two-bedroom suite, and they are quite spacious. The furniture is showing its age a tiny bit (the couch was lumpy), but everything was clean and tidy and minimalist in design. The kitchen has just enough to be functional (silverware, plates, bowls, glasses, a pot, a fridge, a stovetop, a coffee maker, and a water purifier) so that you can make small meals or bring take-out back to the room. The room is very quiet overall, and since there are only two suites per floor, you never hear anyone else. There is a gym on the second floor, and there are also completely free laundry machines (washers and dryers, three of them, detergent provided) which was amazing! The hotel is located a quick walk from the Sheung Wan MTR stop, in walking distance to all of Sheung Wan and Central, and there are tons of restaurants and bars in the area. There's also a 7-Eleven directly across the street. The staff were all very nice, although the lobby and staff interaction is minimal. If you're like me and you prefer that the staff stay out of your way in general, you'll like it. If you're expecting the staff to be available to cater to every need, you might be a bit disappointed. This is my new favorite hotel in Hong Kong, and I'll definitely be staying again.

Yelp
Hands down giving five stars to reflect how pleasant my stay here was! This is a relatively new, modern, minimalist style hotel. I loved the decor! When i first walked in, i was greeted by two lovely staff at the lobby. "The lobby" was really small, u can really only call it a front desk lol after the easy routine check in stuff, he came out with a bag and said merry xmas! Complimentary gift on the house! Then he lead us to the elevator. So each floor has two flats and two elevators lead to each of them which is nice! Cuz its like ull nvr see the other guests on the same floor. Got a one bedroom suite. Lots of closet space. Very spacious. It was xmas day, so i had some frds over, and im pretty sure we werent all that quiet, but the design is pretty sound proof i guess? lol so no one complained (or there was no other guests). Funny design, theres a back door in the bathroom, so make sure you lock that lol the kitchenette was fully equipped for a simple meal. did i mention the view and glass windows? So pretty. Overall, had an amazing experience during my stay! Will definitely come back when i visit again. Lobby was so packed when i checked out. Hopefully wont be fully booked when i return!

Yelp
This is an all-suite mid-luxury boutique hotel with a minimalist aesthetic. It has great staff; clean, new facilities; and a central location in the Central neighborhood. You probably can discern this from the photos: it's floor to ceiling glass. They have sheer curtains. I kept them drawn. If you don't like to look out and down (heights) or are creeped out that people can see your silhouette moving around, then this isn't for you. The only minor quibble is I couldn't find a power outlet in the kitchen for the coffeemaker. I thought it was weird there was no power outlet there, so maybe it was user error. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This elegant, boutique hotel is excellent. The 1 bedroom suite is compact but very well designed and even has a tiny kitchen. Floor to ceiling windows provide lots of light even on rainy days and interesting views of the neighborhood. The location is great and convenient to many sites including antique shops, the Man Mo Temple, the ferries, SOHO, and the trolley line. The exercise room is full of natural light and well equipped. And, possibly best of all were the friendly, exceptionally helpful staff, especially Kylie. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
I have had the great pleasure of staying at the Jervois several times. I love the reception folks (Claire, Tommy, Wing Yan, Alika, Karen) who do their utmost to ensure my contentment. The rooms are large by HK standards (500sf) and an incredible value (especially is paid in advance). New fitness room that I haven't seen because there are far greater pleasures to be found nearby...like every imaginable food option. The MTR station is a 1-minute walk, Hollywood Street is just up Ladder Street, and 15 minutes well spent in the lobby watching Sheung Wan pedestrian life unfold in front of you will do far more for your understanding of HK people than a day of trite tourist activities. Okay, so it doesn't have a bar or restaurant...but you're in HK...for God's sake go out and enjoy it!
